Va'ynna is sitting at a booth near the bar, with a glass of water on the table before her. She's wearing her red dress. There's also a datapad lying on the table, but it seems to be shut off. Va'ynna glances towards the door out and the staircase once every minute or so, but that's the extent of the attention she has towards her surroundings.

Iressa descends from the upper floor, dressed moderately well in a white jacket and long, nondescript pants. She glances down at her omni-tool once as she reaches the floor, dismissing it when she notices Va'ynna at a booth. Before she goes to greet the other asari, Iressa makes her way over to the bar, returning a few minutes later with a light drink in hand. "Hello, Va'ynna." She greets as she approaches the booth. "Do you mind if I join you?"
Va'ynna looks up at her, concern written all over her face at first before a smile shows up. "Go ahead," she replies. "All... all's well with you, I hope?"
Iressa takes the seat across from her, smiling in return as she sets her glass down on the table. "Yes, as well as to be expected." She says, surprisingly cheerful for such an ominous statement. "And with you?" She returns, just as hopeful.
Va'ynna seems thoughtful for a moment. "It's... all well now," she says. "It's just work and reading." She glances towards the shut-off datapad before taking a long sip of her glass. "At least I have something to fall back on if I can't work here full-time after my training."
Iressa grasps her glass, swirling its contents slightly. "Yeah?" She says, "What's that, if I may?" She asks before taking a sip of her drink, seeming not to have gotten her full meaning.
Va'ynna nods. "A friend... Jason offered me to work for them," she says. "It's a security agency, I think, but I could work there in the reception... answering calls and things like that."
Iressa nods in return, "I see. Does that at all... interest you?" She asks, quickly realizing neither this nor bartender was probably this asari's first choice. "I mean, more so at least than being one of their hired guns." She says, chuckling once before quickly adding, "I'm certain that was your first choice."
Va'ynna tilts her head. "I'd be too scared to work as a hired gun, and my... ability with a gun is terrible," she says, a faint chuckle escaping her. "Jason's boss sounds... harsh from what he's said, but he's always offered me to work there, even before I got my job here."
Iressa shrugs, "Working reception doesn't sound too bad. It seems like honest work, anyway." She offers, glancing up the stairs once before returning her gaze. "Say, have I heard of this agency?" She asks, raising her glass for a sip.
Va'ynna reaches into the bag beside her and manages to find a card after a bit of fumbling around in it. "I haven't met anyone other than Jason and... one other that's in it, though," she says as she places the card for Redrock Agency on it which has the contact infomration for both Jason Wolfe and Linda Vasquez. "I'm not sure if... I'll be comfortable working with mostly mercs."
Iressa peers down at the card, unable to forge any mental connections. "They certainly can be a... type. If that's the case try not to let them get to you. This Jason guy sounds nice enough to offer you the job, though." She says with slight shrug. "But I take it it's your first of this kind?"
Va'ynna hums thoughtfully as she thinks back. "I've... had a job like that before," she says. "But most of my jobs have been retail stores... those can be awful, but they paid the bills."
Iressa nods understandingly, puasing for a sip or two of her drink before adopting a slightly more thougtful expression. She leans in as she speaks, "Say, uh... I don't know if you were wondering about a couple of nights ago, but if you were, I wanted to assure you no one's upset about you." She says, attempting to remain nonchalant as she does. "You just seemed somewhat anxious about it."
Va'ynna leans forward in turn. "I could barely sleep," she says before a genuine smile appears on her lips. "But thank you... it means so much to hear that." The asari was almost in tears, wiping it with the back of her index finger as she looks a little embarrased. "Sorry," is added in a mutter.
Iressa looks on in concern, "I... I guess I didn't realize just how much it meant. You seem quite relieved." She says, expression fading to a warm smile but retaining some worry. "I hope this means you're back to getting full night's rests."
Va'ynna nods. "Me too," she says. "I... was afraid of him, but if he's not upset... I probably shouldn't worry." She pauses. "So, um," she goes thoughtful for a second trying to discuss something else. "What do you do here... if-if I may ask?" For some reason, that question was something she felt a need to be careful about here.
Iressa chuckles, amused by the other asari's hesitance. "Of course." She says with a kind smile, "I'm a biologist, spending quite a bit of time in the field. This planet is very beautiful, and has some equally fascinating wildlife." She explains, seeming pleased someone took the time to ask. "Have you ever been very far out of town?"
Va'ynna shakes her head. "I haven't," she says. "I don't often leave... this place." She pauses for a moment, thinking. "I haven't really heard much about the wildlife here... other than that it's not too dangerous." She takes a long sip of her glass.
Iressa shrugs, "Not particularly. It sounds uninteresting, but it makes my job just a little easier." She says, mirroring the other woman and taking a drink from her glass. "You should think about it sometime. You know, if you want a break from looking at the inside of this bar." She glances around the floor, seemingly unimpressed with the decor.
Va'ynna hums thoughtfully. "I... um. What sort of wildlife is there around here... and are there other dangers?" She frowns. "Sorry for sounding like a coward. I'm new to the Terminus."
Iressa smirks, "Don't worry about it. There's not a lot you need to worry about around here." She says, appearing rather thoughtful before continuing. "Except for tresspassing. They don't take kindly to that out here." She says, quickly followed by a shudder. "Anyway, most of what I end up studying is the flora, and that's almost always pretty safe. But if you're curious about the more mobile inhabitance, a group of space cows always provides an interesting oppertunity to observe herd dynamics." She chuckles, generally enjoying herself.
Va'ynna tilts her head. "Is... it clear where you cannot trespass?" she says. "I don't think I've seen those animals. Could they be dangerous?" She drinks the rest of her water and places the empty glass on the table.
Iressa frowns slightly, "Not... always. There are quite a bit of homes situated around the town, so it's best to just be careful until you're far enough out." She explains, going for a sip of her drink before the other asari's next inquiry stops her. "Oh, Va'ynna." She laughs good-naturedly, trying not to offend. "You're too cute." With a warm smile, she continues, "They're very gentle creatures, from what I've seen."
Va'ynna looks a tidbit purpler around her cheeks, but she's quiet for a few seconds. "Um...," she begins, trying to not make an awkward silence. "Sounds interesting. I guess I'll go out for a walk then, but.... I'll see. It's been years since I visited a forest not too far outside Armali."
Iressa smiles and nods, "I hope you do, it's a lovely planet. I'd hate to think of anyone being cooped up in here everyday, especially you." She says kindly, a gentle smile on her face. It appears as if she's going to continue before her omni-tool emmites a short chirp. "Oh dear." She murmurs, seeming both excited and alarmed. "That... I must be going soon." She explains, finishing off what's left of her drink.
Va'ynna returned the smile at first, but it soon faded as she looks at her with concern. "Oh?" she begins. "Is... is something wrong?" She pauses. "I'll see you again, ...Iressa."
Iressa quickly shakes her head to dispell concern, "No, no, I just... forgot I set that alarm." She admits, rather embarrassed. "I'll be sure to see you around, Va'ynna." She responds, getting up from the booth and offering her a warm smile. Grabbing her glass and giving her friend a little wave, the asari makes her way to the counter to drop off her glass before disappearing upstairs once again
