#RedrockAgency – April 1, 2014

Vasquez is sitting by the desk in her office, reading on the screen as she waits for Alex to arrive. She's wearing her usual red-gray uniform with her hair in a ponytail. The has a few papers and datapads scattered over it, as well as a machine pistol near the keyboard.

Alex is standing in front of the building, looking it up and down. Alex looks down at the ground for a few moments before entering the building. She enters standing tall, wearing what she considers a 'nice' pair of cargo pants, and a dark blue t-shirt.

Mendez steps into the lobby from the conference room, all decked out in his hardsuit with a shotgun folded on his back. He stops as he spots the new arrival. After glaring down at the woman for a moment, he looks back behind him, searching for someone who would be more suited to address Alex. Unable to spot anyone he sighs and looks back to her. "Yeah?" he asks impatiently.

Alex looks at the intimidating person before her, "Uh, I'm here for an interview?" She smiles, politely.

Mendez furrows his brow. "Good for you." he says insincerely before muttering under his breath. Before giving the young woman a chance to respond, he steps aside and nods to the door he just exited from. "Through here. Take the door to your left. Vasquez' office will be the last one on your right." he states before walking past the woman and out the front door.

Alex continues smiling and she nods, "Thank you." She walks passed him and down to Vasquez' office.

Vasquez is still sitting at her desk, reading. The door to her office is closed but unlocked.

Alex enters her office, slowly. "Hello?" Alex closes the door behind her.

Vasquez looks up from her desk, and turns the screen off when she notices Alex. She gestures to the chair in front of the desk. "Chief Vasquez. You're Gonsalves, right?"

Alex nods, "Yes ma'am, it's nice to meet you." She offers to shake hands with Vasquez.

Vasquez raises an eyebrow at Alex's hand, and doesn't shake it. "Have a seat. You're interested in the mission?"

Alex awkwardly puts her hand back at her side, and sits. "Yes, I am.." She nods slowly.

Vasquez nods and leans forward a bit over her desk as she studies Alex. "And you can fight?"

Alex bites the inside of her cheek, "Well enough, but I'm better with tech stuff..."

Vasquez seems skeptical. "We already have a tech expert. And I -know- she can fight. Lucky for you we need to expand the size of our team. Why are you interested in the mission?"

Alex frowns slightly, "Well, I need a job pretty bad right now. So, I figured I would try for this."

Vasquez nods again. "I think we can find some use for you, kid. If you perform well on the mission you can join the Redrock Agency properly."

Alex nods. "Thank you. I'll do my best." She smiles.

Vasquez looks Alex over as if evaluating her. "Oh, and if you turn on us, you're dead. So... just don't." She offers a polite smile and hands over a datapad for Alex to sign.

Alex continues smiling back. "Of course not." She takes the datapad and signs it, before handing it back to Vasquez.

Vasquez puts the datapad away and then nods again, apparently satisfied. "You'll be contacted a few hours before we leave. Don't leave town. You'll be expected to bring your own equipment."

Alex stands up and nods. "Alright." She exits Vasquez' office, and the building, chewing on the inside of her cheek.
