Va'ynna is sitting at a booth nearby the bar, reading some news article on her omni-tool by the looks of it. She has an empty glass on the table before her. The asari's clad in a dark-green dress she's somewhat commonly seen in.
#Miner'sRespite – May 15, 2014
Victoria walks down into the bar, she is wearing long dark blue pants and a tank top. She walks to the bar and orders herself while she looks around the Respite.
Va'ynna glances up at the human woman as she glimpses her approach to the bar, but doesn't greet her in any way before returning to reading.
Victoria saw an familar asari who was sitting by herself. Victoria decided to wait for her rum and coke before going to talk to her.
Aylena approaches the counter after picking out the needed bottles. "You're with Redrock, right?" she says as fills a glass with ice. "How's it going? I heard your last job went less than smooth." She then mixes the rum and coke in the appropriate ratio.
Victoria shrugs ''Yeah, I am with Redrock, did not go on their last job. I was looking into finding something stolen from me.''
Aylena places the glass on the counter before her. "Yeah, dealing with things like that is pretty much the price of admission here in the Terminus," she says. "So, what did you lose?"
Victoria takes a sip from her drink ''You would not believe me when I say or think I am an idiot for trying to get it back, but my ship.'' She waited for the sarcastic response.
Aylena chuckles. "That's not going to be easy," she says, "unless your ship-thief didn't do their homework before absconding with it."
Victoria puts a credit chit to pay for the drink ''That is why I am grateful an idiot stole it.'' She then turned around and walked over to the booth with Va`ynna in it. ''Hey, Va. I thought that was you.''
Va'ynna looks up at Victoria as she stops by her table, her omni-tool's interface dissipating. "Hey," she says. "Um, how are you?"
Va'ynna raises an eyebrow. "It's... all over the news," she says. "A turian colony was hit by a... ship, I think. Over hundred thousand is estimated to have died."
It's terrible... and they've already declared war on the group responsible, so it's... only going to get worse.
Va'ynna frowns, looking at the table. "Separatists," she says. "People that are against the Hierarchy's... authority over colonies."
Victoria just shakes her head ''Turians our older than my people, one would expect them to be able to deal with all their problems peacefully.''
Va'ynna tilts her head. "Turians... aren't known for that," she mutters. "They're harsh towards that... which threatens them."
''Clearly, they need a female who wants peace. One to rule over all of them.'' She remains quiet for a few seconds ''Queen Victoria of the turians. I like the sounds of that.''
Va'ynna brings up a hand to cover her mouth as a giggle escapes her. "Sorry," she murmurs. "I... um, I just... nevermind." She looks a tiny bit embarrased. "So... what have you... been up to?"
Va'ynna frowns, tilting her head in sympathy. "Oh... I'm sorry," she says. "That... must be terrible to lose."
''Don't worry about it. It was not like you stole it.'' She took another sip of her drink ''I should have my wonderful ship back soon.''
Va'ynna nods. "I hope it... goes well," she says. "How are you planning to take it back, then?" She looks a little nervous as she quickly adds, "if I can ask, of course."
''I still have a friend aboard it. And she told me, that they are coming around here soon. All I need to do is find a way to get on the ship, and take it over.''
''I will need to bring it up to them. They might find having a person with a ship, as a good deal.''
Va'ynna glances at the table for a few seconds as she thinks. "Jason... didn't seem to fare too well, though, after that... terrible job," she says. "Someone even called us to ask if we've seen him recenlty since he didn't return her messages."
Va'ynna nods. "It sounded like... a horror simulsim," she says. "But real,... and deadly. He said two of theirs died, but also that it was... noone I knew."
''Damn, he must of taken that hard then. I guess I shall try to talk to him soon, if I can get a hold of him.''
Va'ynna glances towards the bar. "I can't today," she says with a frown, "but tomorrow after... lunchtime should be fine, depending on how badly the two guests checking out messed up their rooms."
Va'ynna can't help but grin a little. "Thanks... but it's nothing more than two one-night stays," she says. "If I'm not terribly unlucky, it won't be long."
''Well, if you need any help just give me a call and I will be right there to help out. Or just call me when you are done and we can go.''
Va'ynna smiles as she stands up. "I'd better get ready for my next shift," she says. "I'll... see you again, Victoria."
Victoria smiles and stands up to give Va`ynna a hug ''Alright, just remember I offered to help.'' She let go of the hug.
Va'ynna reluctantly accepts the hug, though looks a little bit tense. "I'm grateful for that," she says, "but... it won't be much work, I think." She picks up her empty glass.
