#Aroste – August 13, 2014

This logfile is imported from aitelogs2 and may contain errors or wrong timestamps.

(Enemy) Turian2 is successfully tripped, but has already momentum forward and tries to grab onto her as he stumbles forward.

(1) The receptionist nods faintly, getting on her comms. "We... ngh, can't do this," she says. "Don't, ngh, listen to Teris... we'll get our team killed." Whether it had any effect is unclear.

(2) The mechs opens fire on Damien as soon as the turian gets to the ground. There is no suitable cover other than doorways in the hallway.

(3) The mechs can be heard around the hallway bend, but none emerges from either there or one of the doorways.

(Enemy) Asari is rammed into by Calyx and falls to the ground, her weapon flying off in a different direction. She looks around for her weapon as she tries to get up.

Damien plows through the fire, gritting his teeth as the rounds impact. He rolls forward, tucking into himself to minimise himself as a target, before springing forward and detonating his armour.

Jason remains beside the 'receptionist'. "You're doing the right thing. If they lower their weapons, we'll finish what we're here for and move on our way." he says, "Darennon. Where is he?"

Calyx lifts a heavy, armored turian foot and plants it square on the asari's chest, pinning her down to the floor again. His Phaeston is raised at her, but he doesn't fire. "Don't try it," he says, throwing a look over his shoulder to find Leah. "Can you tie her up or something?"

Leah nods, but continues to keep an eye on the turn in the hall. She reaches down and fishes through a compartment on her hardsuit. Reaching back, she tosses a few primitive ties to the turian. "Should do the trick." she says, returning her attention to the hall, "I'll keep you covered."

Renala makes her way to the garage door, stopping by the controls. "It's the garage door," she says. "Anyone got a visual on it from the inside?"

Victoria is grabbed by one of the turian talons as he fell, but she managed to make herself land on his arm. With her weight on his arm, she draws her predator and holds it to his head ''Give up plate face.''

Philip moves on now that Jason has an eye on the receptionist. He takes up position on the eastern side of the southern door and raises his rifle, aiming down the hallway, trying to get a clear shot at... anything, in the CQC mess in front of him.

Leah responds to Renala over comms. "Not currently, Renala. We're restraining our hostile. As soon as she's taken care of we'll begin clearing rooms and secure your entry."

Halisi jogs in to the room and moves up to Jason and the receptionist. When she notices the woman in a burnt mess of an armor she asks: "Should I patch her up?"

Jason stares at the woman for a few moments before nodding. "As long as she's willing to tell us what we need to know."

(1, 2) Philip will see the turian's struggle with Victoria as well as the mechs before the tech armor detonation makes short work of them and they fall limp to the ground.

(Enemy) Human groans. "Past the, ngh, toilets, around the corner," she begins, "second door. He, ngh, asked Teris to... cut power to it."

Turian growls. "If the salarian don't talk, only I can call off the defence," he warns, remaining calm despite the gun to his head.

Asari sighs and her head drop to the ground, held up by the slightly springy crests. She doesn't say a word as she listens to her team's comm chatter.

Damien stands up, looking emotionlessly at the mechs for a moment before turning back to walk over to the turian. He deftly reloads his Carnifex before holstering it. "Vicky, turn him around and keep his arms pinned."

"That's a good girl." He sets his Phaeston on to his back and reaches down to haul her up and on to her feet, turning her around and putting her hands behind her back to secure her wrists. "Nothing personal. Business, you know. Maybe we can get drinks after this? What's your frequency?"

''Well, big boy. It would be nice if you could shut off the defences.'' Still keeping the predator at his head ''Monroe, you clear the rest of the rooms. I got him.''

Damien nods, drawing the Carnifex and waiting for a moment before he powers up his armour again. "If he doesn't want to talk, grab a mandible and pull. Hard."

Jason nods and signals to Halisi to fix the woman up. He fishes through his hardsuit and tosses a few of his own ties to Halisi. "Make sure her hands are tied." He stands back up, still clutching at his side. He slowly makes his way back to Phil and stacks up at the door. "Sounds like the target had the power cut to his room." he announces over comms, "You got anything to deal with that, Calyx?"

"Is that /authorization/?" Calyx gasps over comms. "Yeah, I brought a little something. Got my hands full with some gorgeous asari, at the moment. Leah and I will come to you. Renala's... somewhere."

Damien moves to check the remaining doors.

Leah glances over her shoulder. "You got her covered? I'm gonna pick Renala up."

(Enemy) Asari snorts. "Not into that kind of stuff," she mutters. "Why are you here?"

Victoria activates her comms ''Jason, got a turian who can call off the defences. You want to have a chat with him?'' Still keeping her weight on and pistol on him.

Damien starts with the next door on the right, palming the interface and swinging his Carnifex inside, left hand raised with omni-tool glowing.

Jason steps out of the door way and raises his Revenant, giving a quick sweep. Once he's sure Victoria and Damien have handled everything in the hall, he lowers his weapon and proceeds to Victoria's side. "What are you talking about? What defenses?" he asks.

''Something about if the salarian does not do it, he is the only other person who can.'' She responds to Jason.

Renala stays where she is. "I'll wait here, then, but hurry," she responds. "I can swear I saw someone out here." She enables her omni-tool and gets her program ready, but doesn't start it.

"You say that now," Calyx tells her. He finishes up and brushes his hands off, reaching back to take out the Phaeston again. "You just hang tight, Blue. It'll be easier for everyone that way." He turns her around and pushes a hand down on her shoulder to sit her up against the wall.

Halisi kneels down next to the injured human, putting the restraints aside for the moment and looking her over in an effort to determine where the armor may have failed her.

Leah returns to the door nearest the one they entered from and stacks up on the first sidedoor which, she presumes, should lead to the garage. She quickly taps the green interface and swings into the doorframe and sweeps the room with her weapon.

Philip moves out into the hallway to join the others. He glances at the turian on the floor a few times.

(Enemy) Turian2 sighs. "The salarian has ordered a surrender," she says, "but Teris is belaying it. She is in command until she leaves." A taloned finger points to the door furthest away on the right wall, but doesn't say any more.

Human has a bullet wounds on her right arm, and the incinerate attack has gone through much of the padding on her left waist and caused some second degree burns beneath it.

Asari offer no resistance as she's set down by the wall.

(1, 2) The hallway is still clear, and the door Damien opens leads to a conference room of sorts. An oval table with chairs around is in the center and a tall desk is by a projector surface on the wall to the left. Without giving him much chance to look inside, a duo of mechs from inside the open door opposite him starts firing with M-4 Shuriken pistols.

(3) Leah enters into a room with a door just opposite. To the left she can se numerous crates of various sizes, containing anything from ammunition to food supplies that can handle room teperature according to the crates' labels. A path in the middle of the crates affords movement to reach any. It is clear.

Damien ducks back, standing around from where the mechs are. He quickly pops out and fires a sot at one of the mechs, aiming for its head and hoping that, if he hits, the resulting explosion would knock the other one down and give him enough time to disable it with an overload.

Leah slowly stalks across the room, careful to watch around her as she does. Once she reaches the other side, assuming she's successful, she reaches out and taps the interface to open the door.

Philip starts running towards Damien when he hears the gunfire. He takes cover in the doorframe, on the opposite side from Damien, and takes a quick look around the corner.

Jason glances towards the indicated door. "Sounds like we need to have a little talk with Teris then." he says. He slowly moves down the hall, but keeps clear of the door Philip and Damien are fighting from. "You got this under control?" he asks, keeping his Revenant lowered.

(3) Leah's door leads to the garage, the large door visible along the right wall. Four large pillars hold the room up and between them is a Kodiak shuttle. A heavy sky-car-like vehicle stands along the opposite wall. The ceiling has a shuttle hatch large enough for it to leave. She might get a visual on the mechs attacking Damien if looking towards the left. A human man in full armor opens fire at Leah, standing partially in cover inside the open shuttle.

Halisi digs around in her satchel, producing a cutting device. "Remain still." She says, starting to carefully cut away the burnt undersuit, leaving any bits that are too melted to safely remove.

Leah takes a trio of rounds to her shields before she tucks back into cover behind the door frame. A faint blue glow envelopes her frame. As soon as her assailant finishes firing his volley, she leands out and fires a pair of shots with her Mattock, hoping to throw him off track, before reaching straight out with her right hand and jerking it back towards her in a quick, smooth motion, attempting to pull him free of the shuttle biotically.

Victoria remained on top of the turian ''I'm just gonna stay here and guard this guy.''

(Enemy) Human grits her teeth at the pain, but complies with the doctor's orders, remaining still.

OtherHuman is pulled out of the shuttle, still holding on to his Avenger assault rifle. He goes through the air for a few seconds before hitting the concrete hard, losing his grip on the weapon. He remains laying there for a second before attempting to get up.

Turian2 is not going anywhere, and keeps quiet.

The mechs can be seen in the garage, giving them also clear view of the garage door. The first mech's head is struck after the shields go, but it doesn't explode, leaving the other mech still firing at him.

Damien swears and ducks back around. He fires up his omni-tool and looks to Phil, flicking his head towards the room.

Jason waits for the firing to stop and quickly crosses the doorway behind Phil and Damien. He stacks up on the next door and taps the interface. As usual, he swings into the doorframe, once opened, and sweeps his Revenant around the room in search of any threats.

Leah quickly rushes forward and plants a boot on the man's Avenger. She aims her weapon down at the man. "Don't you fucking dare!" she commands. "Renala." she begins over comms, "Garage is clear. Can you get the door open?"

Renala stars working on the door. "Got it," she replies.

Calyx , meanwhile, is babysitting the tied up asari during all of this, whistling a low tune (assuming turians can whistle).

Philip swings out of cover and spends his clip in the direction of the mechs, not taking the time to aim very carefully, to avoid coming under fire much before he drops back behind the doorway.

Halisi nods at the human and unclips a medi-gel canister from her hip. She starts covering the burns in a coat of gel, keeping an eye on her patient meanwhile.

The garage door opens to about 9 foot / 3 meters off the ground before it's shut off, controls entirely unresponsive. There's nothing to be seen other than the field south of the building and another treeline. The mech's weapon arm fall off at Philip's fire and it shuts down, falling limp on the floor.

Jason's door opens without issue, revealing a short hallway with shelves along the wall on either side. Those contain cleaning supplies, toiletry, toilet paper and rolls of paper towels. There's a door just across the room, opposite where Jason would enter, but the interface on it is red. There's no hostiles in there.

(Enemy) Human 's breathing calms as the anesthetic effects of medi-gel starts to kick in. "Thank you," she says with a sigh, her helmet making any other expression impossible to discern.

Damien peers around the door and nods once, looking at Philip and giving him a thumbs up. "Good shooting," he says before moving onto the next door.

Renala enters the garage with her blood pack subamchine gun raised as she aims around, though lowers it at the sight of it being under control.

(Enemy) OtherHuman lays still, not moving.

Philip ejects his thermal clip and loads a new one while nodding at Damien with a satisfied grin. He moves after Damien and takes up position on the other side of the door.

Damien looks at Philip and nods once, palming the interface and opening the door.

Damien opens the unlabeled door to a small bathroom, a toilet and a sink along the left wall with a shower on the other wall, opposite the sink.

Jason continues down the short hallway and stops at the end, lowering his weapon. "Renala, I've got a locked door I need you to make nice with." he calls out over comms, "I'm near Damien and Phil."

Halisi puts the medi-gel away after finishing, and then proceeds to take a look at the gunshot wound. She lifts her omni-tool and scans the area, trying to determine the location of the metal flake.

Philip lets out a relieved laugh when the door opens to a bathroom. He lowers his gun.

Leah gives Renala a nod as she takes a knee and begins to restrain the man with another tie produced from her hardsuit. "Sounds like you're needed." she says, climbing to her feet and turning towards the door where she saw Philip and Damien fighting mechs, "Monroe and Philip were this way." she continues, starting towards the hallway to the north.

Renala nods to Leah and jogs towards the doorway. When through, she glances across and to the left. "Where's Jason?" she asks, looking towards Damien and Phillip.

Damien lets out an amused grunt at the sight, before jabbing a thumb over his shoulder. "Last door on that side."

"I think we've waited long enough here," the turian comments, reaching down to pick up the asarj again. The Phaeston is on his back, Phalanx in his right hand, and he shoves her forward a bit with his left. "I've got another merc here. Where should I bring her?"

Philip nods and moves towards the door on the other side of the corridor, stacking up on the left side of it to make his shooting easier.

Damien looks at Philip, shaking his head slightly. "I was talking to her," he says, smirking under his helm. "We still have this door here." He gestures to his left, to the door next to the bathroom.

Jason places a hand against the wall and leans into it as he waits for Renala to arrive, allowing his large gun to hang loosely at his side. "If she's restrained, leave her. We shouldn't be around much longer." he responds, "Meet up with the others. I'm gonna need you to blow that door soon. Think you can do it without much collateral?"

Philip stops in his tracks with a dumb look on his face. "Yeah-... well... yeah, I knew that." He makes his way to the last southern door instead with a mumble.

Renala nods and enters the room, closing the distance to the door at a brisk pace. "Give me a moment," she says as she holds up her omni-tool, startitng to work on the door right away.

Damien stacks up against the next door, nodding once to Philip before thumbing the interface to open the door. He raises his Carnifex and prepares for hostiles.

"I've got you covered." He lowers his pistol, walks away from the asari. Moved to her fallen weapon, ejects the thermal clip, kicks it away, then waves at her. "I'd get away from here, if I were you. Or wait. Your other friends are all tied up. No trouble from you and there won't be any from us." He moves away from her to meet up with the others again.

And... another bathroom! It's symmetrical with the last, the shower on the left wall and the toilet and sink on the other.

Leah remains behind near Damien and Phil. He greets Calyx with a nod as he rounds the corner. "Any idea where this door is he needs you to blow? Not sure how I feel about setting off explosives in a building while we're still in it..."

Damien can't hold back a chuckle this time, lowering the weapon. He speaks into the comms. "All doors clear. Orders, sir?"

Philip lowers his rifle once more, looking to Damien.

The interface on the door Renala tampers with flickers before it turns green.

"It's just a breaching charge, relax," the turian chuckled at Leah, digging in the pack slung over for something. The explosive comes out in his hand, and he tosses it up a moment before catching it again. "I've got your package ready, Wolfe. Where do you want it?"

Victoria is still on the turian ''So any surprises, we should know about?''

Jason straightens up his posture as Renala shows up and removes his hand from the wall. He stands back as she works. "Should be an unpowered door around the corner. Second door, according to our friend in the lobby. Second door." he repeats as the door's interface turns green, "Get some charges on the door. Remember, our target is supposed to be on the other side of that door. We need to make sure he isn't harmed..."

Leah flinches as the turian tosses the explosive, nearly reaching out instinvtively to attempt to catch it. "Are you trying to get us fucking killed!?"

Damien turns to the commotion, frowning under his helm and stepping forward, slightly more bulky looking with his tech-armour activated.

Jason rolls his shoulders and bounces up and down on the balls of his feet a few times. He tilts his head to one side, then the other. He looks towards Renala and gives her a nod before reaching out and tapping the door's interface and raising his rifle once more.

"You should see my juggling act," he snickers, reaching for his pack again. "Want to?" Calyx smirks at her, but she can't see it through the helm. "Alright, alright. Come on, let's go find that door."

Renala raises her punisher at the door.

Halisi starts to clean the wound, assuming the scan was able to locate the round. She does her best to reduce bleeding while grabbing a pincher and starting to carefully dig around for the metal flake.

Leah allows her stare to linger on Calyx for a moment longer. Finally, she shakes her head and starts down the hallway towards the bend. "Yeah." she responds to Damien as she passes him, "Might as well stick together."

Damien nods and gestures for Philip to follow as he trails behind Leah.

The door opens without issue, revealing a very narrow hallway going to the left and right. There's a corner 15 meters to the left, while the right is a dead end. Wires and pipes go along the walls.

Philip moves after Leah with a nod. "Wouldn't mind getting away from the bird with the explosives."

He's coming with us, I think.

(Enemy) Human 's armor absorbed most of the round, but a splinter of the shattered bit of metal remains within her arm, and it's bleeding.

Turian shakes his head. "No," he says. "But I don't know Teris very well."

Halisi extracts the splinter and then quickly proceeds to coat the wound in medi-gel to stop the bleeding. She takes another quick look over the human and then nods at her. "You should be good to make it to a hospital." She says.

"You guys will appreciate me one day," the turian mentions, not looking back. "Unless anybody else has some kind of idea? You wanna wriggle through the vents, Leah? Or maybe we'll try knocking."

Jason steps into the hall and sweeps his weapon to the right, then to the left. "Clear." he announces before slowly walking to the end of the hall. Using the corner for cover, he peers out.

Philip curses under his breath.

(Enemy) Human nods faintly, calming down as the pain dissipates. "Thanks," she whispers.

Damien turns his head slightly. "Turian, shut up and focus."

Leah shoots Calyx a dirty look. "I don't do vents." she says. She stops between the two unpowered doors, looking between them. "Looks like this is it."

"Then we'll do it my way. Besides, you heard him. It's authorized!" He eyes the door once they approach it, looking the thing up and down to see what it was made out of or to check for any sort of structural weaknesses.

The hallway around the corner goes the entire length of the building, and at the end of the left (east) wall is a ladder leading up to a hatch with the sign 'roof access' beside it. An asari in a light suit of armor steps out of a door just a few meters along the left wall, sending off a singularity towards the corner before making a run for it for the ladder.

The door Calyx is appraising is a regular metal door often seen in non-home facilities, but the frames look a little worn.

Jason is pulled into the singularity's field and begins to float helplessly. "Fuck! Hostile spotted. She's making a break for the roof." he says. He tries to use the narrowness of the hallway to his advantage by pushing off both sides in an attempt at freeing himself of the singularity.

Halisi looks down at the restraints, realizing that she should probably use them. She gently grabs the woman's hands and restrains them in front of her, barring any resistance.

"That's embarrassing," the turian mumbles, feeling the edges a moment. "Pretty thin. Old, too." Damn, did they even need the explosives? He debated trying to kick it on, but where was the fun in that? Calyx knocks a couple of times. "Darennon! You in there?" A pause, as it he's waiting for an answer. "We're blowing your little hiding place to shit! Might want to get under a desk or something. We don't want to kill you! That would be bad!"

Damien palms his helmet and sighs audibly. "Damnit turian, just place the charges."

Philip nods at the others and runs off upon hearing Jason over the comms. Upon reaching the corner he raises his rifle and rounds it still moving rather quickly - his feet end up slipping off the floor as he starts to float as well. "Shitshitshit."

Leah stares at Calyx in disbelief. "Really? Did you re-..." she turns her attention to Damien, "Did he really just knock? You gotta be kidding me..."

Damien watches Philip run, confident that he can assist. He turns back to Leah and shrugs, moving away from the door. "C'mon, I'd rather be out the way of the charges."

"No, wait, Calyx, don't plant the explosives -- oh, wait, Calyx, please do! You damn humans." He shakes his head and places them right in the center, turning something on the satchel to prime it. "It's remote activated. Might wanna stand back."

Jason might be able to grab ahold of a pipe running along the outer walls, but the singularity is quite strong. The asari reaches the ladder and starts climbing it.

Calyx may hear footsteps inside, but no verbal response.

Renala is too late to react to Phillip running past her to stop him. She looks at the singularity hopelessly, still out of its range. "Best I can do about it is destabilizing it," she says, "and that's not an option."

Jason grips the pipe in both hands and attempts to pull himself along it. "We can't let her get away!"

Damien speaks into his comm, drawing his hand cannon and leaning against the wall away from the door. "Sir, are you unable to pursue?"

Leah pulls away from the door and rounds the corner of the hallway. "Doesn't sound like he's planning on greeting you, Calyx."

Philip tries to aim his rifle while floating, firing off a few shots in the general direction of the asari without much hope of hitting.

Calyx shoos them all away from the door, moving to cover. "Maybe not," he seems to agree, pulling up his omnitool and hovering one turian finger above the detonator. "Any objections?"

Nope. Hit it.

Damien ducks behind Calyx.

The singularity then dissipates without much warning, its caster has opened the hatch, but submachine gun fire from somewhere on the roof keeps her from going up. One of Philip's shots hit a pipe near the asari, making it leak a thin trickle of water that pools on the floor.

Philip falls with a short yell, landing on his back and hitting his head against the floor.

Jason hits the ground with a thud. He's noticeably slower climbing back to his feet. He presses against the wall and uses it to support himself as he stands back up. He raises his Revenant and begins marching towards the ladder, almost limping. "Get the fuck down here." he demands, "Now!" He fires a short burst around the asari to punctuate his point.

Renala rushes over to the corner and reaches out to help Phillip up. "You okay?"

(Enemy) Teris does not comply, sending off a biotic throw towards Jason as she climbs up and starts running on the roof. Another biotic throw can be heard shortly after.

Philip is lying on the floor, motionless. His rifle is dropped next to him. His eyes are closed.

Calyx does just that. He hits the button on his tool and anticipated the explosion. It shouldn't have been too strong, and most of the force would be going in to the room rather than out and back at them.

Jason is hurled backwards. He smashes into the wall and drops his Revenant to the floor. Everything goes black momentarily as he shakes his head, trying to clear the cobwebs.

Renala crouches down, and nudges him on the shoulder. "Hey," she says sharply. "You still with us?" She glances towards Jason before getting on the comms. "Doc, we might need you here."

(Enemy) Human groans as she's bound, but does not provide any resistance.

Halisi brings a hand up to her earpiece. "On my way." She gives the human another glance before exiting into the corridor, heading up to Victoria. "Where's Renala?"

Philip moves his lips slightly and shakes his head a bit.

Jason reaches out and grabs his rifle. He takes a few pained breaths as he slowly climbs to one knee. He tries to stand up, but nearly topples over. After a few more breaths, he presses his palm against the wall and begins to stand. "Where-... Where is she?" he grunts.

Victoria looks at Halisi ''I don't know, try one of those doors down there.'' She montion down the hallway with her head.

More gunshots can be heard from on the roof, from two different locations.

Halisi looks both a bit frustrated and confused by the pirate sitting on the turian. She moves down the corridor, glancing at the group by the door and moving right instead upon confirming that Renala is not with them.

(Enemy) Turian2 glances up at the woman. "My arm can't be comfortable," he says. "Would you mind moving your ass?"

''Let me think about that, while I continue to sit how I am sitting.'' She said ''Sorry turian, don't really want to move. Might give you a chance to fight back.''

Halisi exits into the northern hallway and makes her way around the corner to the others. Upon noticing Philip she kneels down next to him and performs a quick scan.

Renala looks towards the ladder at the end of the hall. "She must be up there," she says, but given the tightness of the corridor, can't get there herself without stumbling into Jason.

Philip mumbles faintly and moves his hand.

Jason coughs a few times once he's to his feet. He slowly starts towards the ladder, using the wall for support. Once he reaches the ladder, he raises his Revenant sluggishly and peers up at the hatch.

Halisi puts her omni-tool away with a sigh and takes out an injector, rolling his sleeve up and injecting a weak stim. "Just a minor concussion. Get up."

Philip opens his eyes and blinks repeatedly before stumbling to his feet with a few nods, grabbing his rifle as he goes. He shakes his head for a bit to clear it, still blinking.

The charge goes off and gets the door open, parts of it strewn across teh room within. It has a couch on the left wall and a vid screen on the right, a desk beside the couch and a bed. A salarian sits on the bed, aiming a Carnifex pistol at the door. He seems unharmed.

Jason will only see the sky from down there, but he can hear the gunfighting clearly as it's not far from the hatch.

Damien approaches the door and immediately jolts back at the weapon pointing at the door. "He's armed," he declares.

Leah follows Damien up to the door. She presses herself against the wall beside the door. "Great." she sighs, "Mr. Darennon!" she calls out, "We're not here to hurt you! But I advise you toss the weapon and make no attempt at resisting, or we may have no other choice!"

Jason stares up for a few moments before holstering his weapon on his back and reaching up for one of the ladder's rungs. With a number of pained groans, he begins climbing with much trouble. As he nears the top, he snakes one arm around the ladder and draws his Phalanx with his other hand before peeking out onto the roof.

"What she said!" Calyx calls after the salarian once Leah is finished speaking. "Put the gun down and you can live for two more weeks before you drop of old age! Three, maybe."

Philip starts heading towards the ladder once getting a grip of his surroundings. He stands below and looks up at Jason.

Halisi looks to Renala. "Anyone else that needs care?"

Victoria continues sitting on the turian's arm ''Well this is nice and quiet ain't it?'' She asked jokingly.

Renala glances towards Jason. "Wolfe took a few hits from the asari," she says. "You might want to take a look at him when he gets back."

(Enemy) Turian2 grumbles, but doesn't give her any better response than that.

Halisi nods and makes her way closer to the ladder, keeping some distance however.

''At least you can go tell your friends you have a human woman on top of you.'' She said continuing her joking tone.

Damien primes an overload, intent on shocking the salarian if he doesn't co-operate.

(Enemy) Darennon considers it for a brief moment before dropping the gun and kicking it away. "Teris' ordered us to defend," he says. "But will not die for her. Why are you here?"

Damien nods at Leah and advances into the room, weapon pointed at Darennon.

Jason will be able to spot a Kodiak quite a bit onto the roof -- enough to not be visible from below. The two are in cover on each their side of it: Teris and another asari in full armor. Teris is closest. Neither of them seems to have noticed Jason yet.

Leah returns the nod and follows Damien into the room, keeping her Mattock trained on the salarian. "We need you to answer a few questions." she says. She activates her comms to report the situation back to the others, "Darennon is accounted for. As soon as you're ready, he's available for questioning."

Jason climbs out of the hatch slowly. It's obvious that his movements are getting more and more sluggish. He takes a quick glance around for any immediate cover.

(Enemy) Turian2 chuckles before snorting. "Nothing to be proud of," he mutters.

Other than the shuttle the two are fighting around, there's no cover to be found on the flat roof.

Philip swings his rifle over his back and grabs the ladder, starting to climb as soon as Jason is up.

Jason reholsters his Phalanx on his thigh and removes his Revenant from his back. Lacking interest in being tossed around like a ragdoll again, he forgoes the formalities and lets loose at Teris with his Revenant, spraying a steady stream of rounds at her.

Victoria pulled a fake shocked face even if the turian could not see ''That sir, is racist. I should report this abuse to the closest law enforcement personnel.''

(Enemy) Teris notices Jason and sends a biotic throw towards the other asari before sprinting around the shuttle and opening the door on the side facing away from the hatch. Her shields take most of the fire, but her shoulder is hit just before the shuttle covers her entirely.

Philip hurries up when he hears the gunfire, climbing up and crouching down as he starts to shoulder the Mattock again.

The other asari is thrown back, her weapon sliding to a stop by the step on the edge of the roof. She scrambles to get up and runs towards her weapon.

Jason continues opening up on the shuttle, exhausting the rest of his thermal clip into it as he walks towards it, hoping to hit something of importance. Once dry, he reaches down and plucks a grenade off his hardsuit.

Philip is highly confused by who he's supposed to be shooting at by the look of things, but eventually he starts to open fire at the shuttle while on one knee, following Jason's lead.

Calyx follows inside and looks around, figuring Damien and Leah are putting enough heat on the salarian with their weapons raised. He starts taking a look around the room for any sort of hidden weapons or nasty surprises, even stopping to glance under the bed. When that's done, the turian takes a seat at the foot of the bunk beside Darennon, patting him on the leg once.

Leah lowers her weapon. "What's with all the security?" she asks.

The shuttle door can be heard closing and the engine comes to life, but it's still on the ground. Its kinetic barriers absorb the gunfire once the shuttle is running.

There is nothing to be found around Darennon's room that may be used as a weapon.

(Enemy) Darennon looks up at Leah, ignoring the turian. "Got warning from DSG about invasion," he answers. "We confirmed it. Got a job to assess and deal with invasion force."

Damien keeps his pistol raised at the salarian.

Jason activates the grenade and, once the fins open, sidearms it at the shuttle, hoping to stick it to the side of it. He holsters his Revenant and draws his Phalanx in case he needs to deal with the remaining asari.

The shuttle starts taking off and is two feet off the ground when the charge goes off, making one of the side thrusters fall off and some sparks to be seen from wiring connected to it before it's shut off. The shuttle turns while flying sideways before the pilot manages to conpensate and keeps it still in the air just past the east edge of the roof. The other asari picks up her weapon and starts firing towards the shuttle, though the Locust does very little against its barriers.

Halisi flinches and looks up as she hears the explosion, and soon starts to make her way up the ladder.

Philip uses his rifle to shield himself from potential debris from the explosion, apparently worried about his shields not holding if fragments fly their way.

Some fragments end up strewn around, but none hit the people shooting at the shuttle.

Jason puts his hands up to shield himself from the blast. Once it goes off, he looks a little unsteady for a few moments, but manages to bounce back before falling over. His attention quickly shifts to the second asari as she begins firing and he steps towards her with his pistol raised. "It's been a pretty bad fucking day. Forgive me-..." he winces and lets out a short cough before continuing, "...Forgive me if I seem a little impatient but- drop the weapon or I'm about to empty my entire clip into your fucking face."

(Enemy) Turian2 just grumbles.

Victoria prodded the turian with her gun ''Hey wanna hear something funny?''

Damien hears the explosion and looks away from the salarian for a moment.

(Enemy) Turian2 raises a bow-plate. "Does it involve you willing to get off my arm?" he growls.

Leah looks up towards the ceiling as the explosion goes off. "What's going on up there!?"

The asari drops her weapon and looks towards him. "Hey! We're both trying to get the bitch in the shuttle, right?" she says, her helmet obscuring her voice.

Halisi reaches the top of the ladder just as the shuttle disappears of the roof. She gets up and checks on Philip quickly before starting to move towards Jason and the asari, omni-tool ready.

I don't give a fuck what you're trying to do. Down the ladder. Now.

Jason gestures towards the ladder with his Phalanx. A few drops of blood seem to have formed a small trail behind him.

The shuttle turns around and starts moving, going westward towards Derrai. It moves slowly as the other thrusters has to compensate for the broken one. The asari complies and starts walking towards the ladder, leaving her weapon behind.

(Enemy) Darennon sniffs. "No idea," he says. "Terris' shuttle is up there. Must have trouble getting away."

Halisi shoots Jason a concerned glance and raises her omni-tool at him. "Stand still. I need to scan you."

''Sadly can't, don't trust you.'' She pauses for a second ''You know what, I won't say it. Rather not make you get pissy.''

(Enemy) Turian2 can't help but chuckle. "You're worried about that, human?" he grunts. "Then get off my arm."

Jason waves the doctor off and takes a step towards the ladder. "I'm fine... Need to talk to the salarian so we can go home." he insists. A few noticeable dents are in the left side of his armor, just below his ribs. A small portion of his hardsuit is mangled, creating a visible crack filled in with medi-gel, if one were to look for it.

The asari gets to the hatch and starts climbing down the ladder.

Halisi shakes her head and puts her left hand up palm towards him. "Just want to run a quick scan, make sure there's nothing that can't wait until we're back on the shuttle." She starts tapping on the palm keys of her omni-tool.

Philip starts moving down the ladder after the asari, keeping an eye on her best he can while climbing.

Renala aims up at the asari climbing down the ladder, not recognizing her. "Who's the asari climbing down?" she says over the comms. "Orders?" She stands about ten meters away from the ladder, starting to backpedal as she seens Phillip climbing down after her, Punisher still aimed at the asari.

Jason groans, but stays still. "Mechs tagged me..." he admits. The scan would reveal a couple pieces of shrapnel lodged in his side. The hardsuit was forced inward at an odd angle, causing it to press against the wound. "Must've torn the wound when that fucking asari decided to use me as a throw pillow...."

Victoria stood up but kept her pistol's sight on the turian's head ''Is that better?''

(Enemy) Turian2 withdraws his arm and nods slightly. "Better," he says, not making any other movements.

Halisi looks at her omni-tool display with a furrowed brow. "I'm going to cut away part of your chestplate to make sure it doesn't tear the wound further. The rest will have to wait."

"There's another asari?" Calyx asks, blinking. "What is that, like, four? I think I've died and gone to turian Heaven." He looks at Darennon and stands at last. "We should probably go. You'll be coming with us."

Jason shakes his head. "We'll worry about it... When we're on the shuttle." he says, more interested in addressing Renala's question. "I don't know who she is." he responds over comms, "But she's unarmed... Just keep an eye on her."

Damien moves to grab the salarian and man-handle him out to where Jason was.

Halisi seems sceptical. "Wolfe, I really think I should handle it now, we can't have additional internal damage."

Jattic might hear a gunshot coming from the farm 600 meters away, a sniper rifle. It does not hit anything the batarian can see, though. Some incoherent shouting follows, but the words are lost over the distance and the slight wind.

Jason shakes his head. "On the shuttle." he repeats, sounding somewhat short of breath. He holsters his pistol and begins to climb down the ladder before the woman can argue any further.

Halisi seems rather displeased, and follows down the ladder as soon as she can.

Renala nods at the order and starts making her way back to Damien and Calyx.

Jattic jumps to attention at the gunshot. He quickly boards the shuttle to hopefully break the sightline of whoever may be shooting. "We got a problem." he announces over the comms, "I've got gunshots."

Leah follows behind Damien quietly. Upon hearing Jattic, she cusses softly under her breath.

"Can't say one less batarian in the galaxy is much of a problem," he jokingly comments, though only to those around him. He's leading the salarian as they move to regroup again, staying behind the alien.

(Enemy) Darennon frowns as he's yanked along with Damien. "What are you doing?"

Damien gives the salarian a rough push and growls. "Shut the fuck up and get moving."

is also moving along the hallway, following after the other asari, not making any sudden movements. Damien's group and the others will meet just in the room before the maintenance corridors, which is too tight for everyone to gather in.

Philip lets go of the ladder as soon as he's down, following the asari with rifle in hand.

Jattic would not hear any more gunshots for now.

Jason drops from one of the lower rungs of the ladder and stumbles a bit, but manages to catch the wall to keep himself upright. He starts down the hall behind Renala. "Fuck. Just hang tight, Jattic... We're almost done here."

Halisi comes down the ladder, moving after the others. Every now and then she glances at Jason's injury.

Leah stops just inside the room and waits for the others to show up.

Damien moves the salarian just inside the room, keeping the Carnifex trained on him.

Renala enters the room first, glancing over her shoulder to make sure the asari's following. "Everything clear down here?" she asks.

"I think so," Calyx answers Renala. "You gave us a bit of a scare, getting lost like that. Did you miss me?"

There is an open door on the right side of the hallway as they walk away from the ladder. It's just a few meters before the bend. That's where the asari emerged from when she first attacked.

Jason follows behind the asari. Once reunited with the others, he looks over the salarian with a sigh, holding his hand loosely over his wounds. "Darennon?" he asks, "We're not here to harm you." he leans to the side, bracing himself against the wall, "But I'm gonna need you to hand over your omni-tool, and come with us. We've got a few questions we need answered."

Leah gives the salarian a slight nudge, urging him to speak.

(Enemy) Darennon looks unsure. "Can't you ask questions here?"

Philip stops to check the open door, peeking in with his rifle only half-raised.

Halisi sticks close to Jason, seemingly uncertain of his ability to make it back to the shuttle.

Jason shakes his head. "We don't have time. This isn't up for debate, Darennon. You either come with us willingly, or we take you. Understand? I think everyone has had enough gunfire for one day, so how about you make this easy on yourself?"

(Enemy) Darennon nods. "Some conditions," he begins. "You leave island for good. I return alive."

The door opens to reveal a room with some large computer racks along the wall to the left, almost all the way, and along the opposite wall. There's a desk to the right with some medical equipment. A gasp can be heard from the right corner, out of view.

Philip looks around the corridor. "Uh... guys...?"

Damien moves to Philip, leave the salarian for Leah. "What's up, kid?"

Philip steps into the room, raising his rifle as he looks for the source of the gasp.

Damien follows Philip in, Carnifex raised.

Jason nods in agreement. "That's not an issue. I doubt we'll be allowed within a twenty mile radius after today anyway. And we've got no problem with you. Once we learn what we need, you'll be free to go."

There lays a datapad on the desk. There's a terminal, as well, connected to one of the larger computers. The source of the gasp is an asari sitting there, legs towards her chest. She don't look much older than forty. She's dressed in casual clothing, and is not bound.

(Enemy) Darennon nods and sniffs. "Acceptable," he says before getting on the comms. "Will have to leave for few days. Falten is in command until return. Prepare an escape plan in case Teris returns unhappy with us."

Damien lowers his pistol, but doesn't holster it.

Damien approaches her and kneels in front of her, one arm resting on his knee. He flicks his head over his shoulder. "You a civvie?"

Jason extends a hand towards Darennon. "Your omni-tool." he demands.

Philip keeps his rifle in hand, although lowers it slightly, waiting for her to respond to Damien.

The deep blue asari look up at him, and nods, but does not offer a verbal response. She looks towards the desk with a troubled expression.

(Enemy) Darennon detaches the omni-tool from his armor and hands it off to Jason.

Jason places it in a compartment on his hardsuit. "Vicky." he calls out over comms, "The hell are you? We're ready to return to the shuttle."

Philip taps Damien's shoulder and nods towards the desk. "Should check the computers, maybe." He says, apparently not sure he's right for that task.

Jason winces and lets out a pained groan as an ache shoots through his side.

Leah raises an eyebrow at Halisi. "He okay?"

Halisi shakes her head. "No... but he refuses to let me handle it."

''Still guarding the turian, I will head outside now.''

Renala looks at Jason, concerned. "Do you think our batarian can fly it?"

Damien nods and motions for him to guard her while he looks at the computers.

Jason gives Renala a half hearted shrug. "Jattic." he announces over comms, "I'm-... in a bit of pain. Getting back to the shuttle isn't going to be easy. I don't need any fancy, Victoria, deep sea flying out of you, buddy... But I need you to bring the shuttle." he manages

Philip moves up to the asari with a nod, lowering his rifle. "Hey. You okay there?"

The computer is logged on, showing a list of door locks with appropriate labels. It also has access to the files. The datapad has a hastily written text file on it, the virtual keyboard still visible.

''I can run over to the shuttle now, if I need to.'' She said as she collect her avenger, still keeping her predator on the turian.

The asari looks at the floor, just shaking her head without any other response.

Jattic grunts loudly to himself and angrily shuts the shuttle door. "No idea where the shots came from." he reports back as he takes a seat in the cockpit. He starts up the shuttle and begins running through the pre-flight preparations, "So be ready to leave when I arrive. Lifting off now."

Damien furrows his brow under his helmet. He patches into the comms quickly. "Jason, I've got a terminal here with door locks and file access. Also a datapad with some... text file quickly scribbled on it."

What do you want me to do about it?

Philip frowns slightly. "Don't worry, darlin'. Shootin's over. Were..." He pauses for a moment and scratches the back of his neck. "...where ya with these people here in the base?"

Jason nudges Darennon forward and gives a nod. "Get moving." he says, limping ahead slowly. "Grab the datapad." he responds over comms through gritted teeth, "No idea what's in those files, but it might be valuable to our client. Transfer them to your omni-tool and send me a copy." After a few steps, he pauses to lean against the wall once again.

Leah gives Halisi a worried glance and moves in to wrap an arm around Jason, assisting him. "Come on... Let's get you out of here, Wolfe."

Damien snatches the pad and quickly transfers all the files onto his omni-tool. Once done, he turns to Philip and clears his throat. "We're going," he says, moving to the door. "Leave her and lets go."

Another shake of the head precedes her response. "No," she mutters, barely above a whisper. "I want to go home." She starts breathing shakily.

''So guys, where are we meeting up?'' She asked over the comms still keeping the pistol on the turian

Halisi nods approvingly to Leah. "Careful. Make sure the armor doesn't cut into his side."

Jattic lifts off. The kodiak hovers just above the treeline for a few moments as Jattic pokes at the haptic interface. Finally, it begins lurching forward towards the compound.

(Comms) Eastern entrance, Vicky. Meet us there, Jattic.

There's enough flat concrete ground there to make for an easy landing.

Jattic continues towards his destination. "Copy. Give me a moment."

Philip nods. "Sure thing... uh... where is that? Maybe we can help ya out." He says with a reassuring smile.

Leah nods to the doctor, taking extra precaution to keep from causing further damage to the man. She slowly moves towards the eastern entrance, propping Jason up as best as she can.

Damien turns and glares at Philip. "Stop playing hero, kid," he snarls. "She has legs. She can walk."

The asari starts getting back to her feet, supporting herself on the computer. "Ar...Armali," she mutters.

The asari is just about 5 foot/150cm tall.

Renala follows after Jason and Leah. "You need any help, Monroe?" she asks over the comms. "With the tech, I mean."

Damien talks into the comms. "No, I've got the data. I'll let you look at the pad when the kid here moves his arse."

Philip glances over his shoulder at Damien and mouths "Shut up". He turns back to the asari. "Oh, uh... I dunno where that is... but ya can come with us to a spaceport. How's that sound?"

The armored asari walks after Renala. "Uh, can I leave?" she asks. "I've got nothing to do with these people."

''Well good guarding you turian. Don't do anything dumb until we leave.'' She then started to head towards the east entrance.

Jattic sets the shuttle down just outside the compound, albeit a little rougher than intended, and the shuttle door slides open.

(Enemy) Turian2 gets back up to his feet, and moves out of the way. "I won't," he nods. "I'll wait until you are gone before I start assessing damage."

Damien rolls his eyes and walks out, taking the route the others took out of the building.

Halisi follows Jason and Leah, still glancing at the injured human every now and then, she stops when they reach the door leading to the reception. "Uh... what do we do with her?" she says, nodding towards the restrained woman behind the desk, assuming she hasn't managed to leave.

The asari youth nods and steps towards him without a word.

Renala raises her brows. "Give me a minute. Gotta get my gun back," she says as she jogs around the hall bend and down. She returns about fifteen seconds later with her Locust.

Jason glances into the door. He takes a deep breath. "What can we do? Her people are here. They'll take care of her once we're gone. She's stable, right?"

(Enemy) Turian2 nods to Jason. "I'll take care of our people," he says. "Just be on your way."

Halisi hesitates for a moment before nodding and following the others.

Jattic steps out of the shuttle and towards the compound's door. Upon spotting Victoria, he looks her up and down. "Get inside. It's not my job to fly that bucket of rust."

Jason gives the turian a nod and continues limping forward.

Leah helps Jason through the eastern door and over to the shuttle. With a little difficulty, she manages to help him up into it. She removes her helmet, letting her long blonde hair free, and takes a seat near the door.

The armored asari makes her way out, as well, and stands by the door, looking at Jason.

Victoria walks into the shuttle and gets into the pilot seat ''Quit your complaining. It would not hurt you too learn how to fly.''

Philip smiles and nods towards the door before moving out, apparently not considering the asari a threat. "Follow me. I'm sure the others will agree to help ya out."

The asari falls into step behind him, not seeing any other option since they seemed against the bad people in here.

Jason props himself into a seat and removes his helmet, tossing it haphazardly to the floor. He's looking quite pale, and his breathing is a bit ragged.

Halisi enters the shuttle and crouches in front of Jason, putting her medical satchel down. "I'm gonna need you to lie down while I cut your armor."

Jason lifts his legs up onto the bench with a groan. "Be gentle with her." he jokes, patting his chestplate, "She's my baby."

Jattic grabs ahold of the sides of the door and pulls himself back into the shuttle. He looks at Jason and grunts disapprovingly before taking a seat across and watching.

Philip is making his way northward in the corridor, closing in on the corner. "So... I'm Phil. What's your name?"

Halisi seems to focused to respond. She starts with a more detailed scan and armor diagnostic before grabbing a strange-looking metallic cutter tool with a slight mass effect shimmer. "Cutting the plating. This might hurt." She says before pressing the device against the armor plating and slowly starting to cut the bent part away, careful not to go too deep.

The kid keeps following him. "Marissa," she mutters.

Renala holsters her Locust before entering the shuttle, taking a seat by herself.

Philip rounds the corner and continues towards the east exit. "How'd you end up here? Those folk capture you?" He glances over his shoulder when asking the second question.

The asari takes about ten seconds to respond. "Yes," she says, still not raising her voice.

The armored asari shakes her head and starts walking towards the north.

Jason tightens his fist and bites down. The piece of bent metal from Jason's suit seems to have both kept medi-gel from properly treating the wound, and kept enough pressure on it to keep the blood flow to a minimum. As soon as it's cut away, blood begins to flow freely, erupting from the wound.

Leah cringes at the amount of blood. "Is he okay?" she asks, sounding quite worried, "Is that normal?"

Halisi seems to have expected this, and is ready with a cloth from her bag, pressing it against the wound as soon as she's able to remove the armor plating. "Extracting the rounds will have to wait until we get back. I need to this sealed for now." she says while grabbing a medi-gel canister, starting to apply it generously while slowly removing the bloodied cloth..

Jason nods wildly a few times. "Yep. Yep." he groans through gritted teeth, clearly in a bit of pain, "Just-... Do what you have to do, doc...."

Philip nods at the asari's reply. "Well, don't ya worry, we're gettin' ya out of here now." He says, exiting the building and heading towards the shuttle.

The asari approaches the shuttle, but hides behind Phillip as she sees the people in it.

Philip stops outside the shuttle as he notices the armored asari. "Uh... are we letting that one go?" He tightens the grip of his rifle.

Leah glances out at the asari. "Should probably restrain her. Her people can free her once we're a safe distance. No use in risking her attacking us when we're trying to take off, right?"

Philip raises his rifle at the armored asari. "Hey! You! Stop!"

Renala notices the armored asari leave, but just shakes her head, not feeling like bothering with it. She looks towards Phil, staring at the young asari in tow.

The armored asari turns around. "I'm not with these people," she says. "We've got no quarrel."

(Enemy) Darennon stands by the shuttle, awaiting instructions.

Jattic looks down at the salarian from his seat. "Get. In." he orders.

Halisi finishes applying the medigel, which is all she can do for the injury at the moment. She brings her injector out and puts it to Jason's neck, injecting something to relax him. "You shouldn't move until we get back. Just stay like this."

Jason nods slowly a few times. "That's-... I feel fine, doc..." he insists, "I'm doin' fine..."

Philip seems rather confused. "Wait... uh..." He looks to Renala as if asking her what to do.

Renala looks towards him. "What's up with the kid?" she asks.

Philip looks over at the third asari. "That's Marissa. Found her in the computer room. Told her we'd take her to Freedom Falls. That alright? Guess these people had her captured..." He seems to forget about the armored asari while speaking.

Leah hops back out of the shuttle as she hears the asari and stands beside Philip. "If you're not with them, than what were you doing here?" she asks, doubting the woman's words.

Halisi shakes her head. "No, you're not. Just... rest. Your team's got this covered."

The armored asari starts walking towards them. "Same as you, I think," she says, "but you snatched the salarian before I got a chance to."

Leah narrows her eyes on the asari. "Who are you working for?" she asks, but the question comes off more as a demand.

Renala takes off her helmet before looking at him. "Why not," she says, "unless she lives on this island, of course."

Philip shakes his head. "She's from... uh... Amani...? That right?" He says, glancing at Marissa.

"Myself," she says. "Had to close up shop after my company got attacked a while ago."

(Enemy) Darennon steps into the shuttle and takes a seat.

The kid shakes her head. "Armali," she corrects.

Philip nods in agreement and turns back to Renala. "Yeah. That."

Leah continues to stare the asari down. "Is this gonna be a problem?" she asks, "We're not here to make enemies. You go your way, and we go our way. Whatever business you have with the salarian is gonna have to wait."

Renala raises an eyebrow. "That's on Thessia," she says. "She can get there from Freedom Falls, yeah, so I don't see a problem bringing her with us."

The armored asari nods. "Of course," she says. "I'm not welcome in Freedom Falls anyway, so don't worry about me." And with that she turns around and continue on her way.

Philip nods, clearly pleased there's not much objection. "Come on, climb aboard." He says and nods towards the shuttle.

Leah watches the asari as she leaves, feeling a bit uncomfortable about her knowledge of Freedom Falls. Once the asari is a sufficient distance away, Leah reboards the shuttle and takes a seat.

The asari child enters the shuttle, but stands there, not taking a seat.

Jason has gone very quiet. Just laying across the bench staring at the ceiling, enjoying the effects of the meds.

Philip enters the shuttle as well, shooting Jason a concerned glance.

Once everyone is aboard, the shuttle makes its way back to Freedom Falls, getting out of Derraian territory without any issues. Most of the team, and the injured, parts ways at the clinic before the shuttle returns to the agency. Marissa wouldn't have anything new to say during the trip, still very traumatized by the ordeal.
