#Miner'sRespite – April 5, 2015
Aylena is once again having a less than nice chat with the armored asari, just mere hours after the last time. (Renala_T`Iavay)
Renala is standing behind the bar, talking with a young sky-blue asari some would recognize as Ehanis. Ehanis has been at the Respite at least once every day to ask for news about it. Unhappy with the lack of news, the other asari moves off to a booth with her drink.
Austin walked into the Respite wearing his armor, it was a drak grey and near the neck and upper chest it had a pattern that looked like the bottom jaw, that was blue. He walked up to the bar and waited for someone to approach him.
Renala glances over at Aylena and sighs before making her way over to him herself. "The barkeep is a little busy," she says, "but as long as it's simple, I can get it for you."
Austin shakes his head ''I'm not here to drink at the moment. I actually came to look for an old friend.'' He paused for a second and scratched his chin ''You might know her. She has red hair and follows asari around like a lost pup.''
Renala can't help but smirk. "That's certainly possible, yes," she says, "but that's a vague query. Would you mind being a little more specific?"
"Well I am just hoping to find her, so I can help her get her ship back. That is why I am looking for her."
Renala hums thoughtfully. "Well, I know a pilot like that; I work with her, in fact," she says. "Can't remember if she ever told me about missing a ship, though."
Austin rubbed the back of his head ''Less missing and more taken by idiots. Something that hurts her pride, if she has not told ya.''
Renala nods. "She's one hell of a pilot, though," she says. "Either that, or I'm overestimating how hard it is to drive those things underwater." A soft chuckle follows.
Austin cocked an eyebrow ''Victoria did what?'' This was something he never thought he would hear in his life.
Austin sighs ''I thought I taught her not to do anything stupid.'' He finished with another sigh ''So is she around or is she off following some poor asari?''
"Well at least the asari here are safe." He said in a joking manner. "Is this gone for seven days a bad thing?"
Renala chuckles, but her expression changes for the worse rather abruptly as she moves on to the other topic. "I'd say so, but people tell me I'm not much of an optimist," she says. "I heard about it, told them how much of a bad idea it was, but I was in no shape to go with them."
Austin frowned slightly ''Hope they are alright. Rather not want to find out my efforts to help her have been for nothing.'' He said in a rather pained tone.
Renala nods. "Me too," she says. "And I think I'm the only one in the agency left on this rock.... Don't go a day without half a dozen questions about whether I've heard soemthing."
"Let me guess, I am the first one to ask about Victoria?" He asked believing the answer was going to be yes.
Renala considers it for a moment. "Not exactly," she says. "There's the girl working in the kitchen. She used to stand out here, so it makes sense that she'll know many in the agency." She chuckles.
Austin shurgs ''Ah, alright. So I am guessing since you said you were possibly the last one here, that your boss has also went along for the trip?''
"Was going to tell them about, since Victoria ain't the boss." He coughs and mumbles something under his breath.
Just pop in here every other day, and I'll tell you if I've heard something. It's the best I can do with how much I know.
Austin nods at her ''Thanks, if I happen not to come here the day they come back. Tell Victoria to send me a message.''
Renala nods. "I will," she says. "You got a name? Or would you rather I grab a picture from the cameras?" She glances towards Aylena, which makes her get to her feet suddenly.
Aylena is biotically lifted into the air by the other asari, biotic shimmer still remaining around her. "I. Don't. Know," she says through gritted teeth. (Renala_T`Iavay)
The other asari is dark blue with red marings, wears light armor but has no weapons, and looks far from young. She snorts. "You were awfully protective of your lack of knowledge," she says. "Talk." (Renala_T`Iavay)
Gren opens the door and stomps into the bar, clad in his usual battlemaster gear with the exception of the helm. He opens his mouth to bark out his regular order until he sees Aylena being suspended in the air. He pulls out his claymore and levels in at the other asari, growling as he speaks. "This place is a regular battleground, isn't it?"
Austin looks at the asari getting lifted into the air and then at the krogan pulling out a claymore. ''Um... do you need some help here?'' He asked Renala.
Renala nods at the human before pointing the weapon at the old asari. "Set her down, and walk out," she orders.
The field around Aylena strengthens, and she glances to the side. "Stay out of this," she threatens. "It's not your battle." She looks at the bar owner again. "I give you three seconds." (Renala_T`Iavay)
Gren shimmers with biotic energy and launches off a throw, quickly barreling towards the asari. "It is now!" He laughs, murder in his eyes.
The krogan's throw is deflected with a quick reactionary field from the old asari, who is proving to be a very experienced biotic. The next thing the krogan will see is the bar owner flung precisely in his direction at a surprisingly high speed. In the cover of that, she turns around and starts walking out of the bar at a brisk pace. (Renala_T`Iavay)
Austin see the bartender go flying and decides it would be his chance to tackle the asari. So he started to run at the asari, as fast as he could.
Gren drops his weapon and quickly tries to slow Aylena in his own biotic field and catch her, at least so she doesn't go crunch when she strikes the krogan.
The departing attacker responds to Renala's request with a powerful shockwave that will both affect her and Austin, which happens before Austin gets close enough to tackle her. She shows no signs of slowing. Patrons present have either taken refuge under the tables or double checked the locations of their weapons. Asari patrons were the first to retreat, because getting in the way someone that at least looks the part of (Renala_T`Iavay)
Aylena is slowed down considerably, and while the impact might still affect his balance, nothing goes crunch. She holds her hands infront of her in reflex, and they'll strike the krogan first. (Renala_T`Iavay)
Gren staggers slightly, quickly wrapping his arms around Aylena. He sets her down, giving her a quick grin. "Heh, literally throwing yourself at me?" He grabs his shotgun and swings it around, firing at the asari hopefully before she gets to the door.
Renala is thrown to the ground, too, but orients herself quickly enough. She sends off a warp field once she has a mental 'lock-on' for her biotics.
The warp field hits home, weakening the armor's shields substantially, enough for half the connecting bullets from the shotgun spread to connect. She staggers forward, but keeps moving despite the visible bleeding. Once outside, she runs towards a skycar parked along the pavement. (Renala_T`Iavay)
Aylena manages to remain standing after being set down, although wobbling a bit. She grabs at the base of her left arm, looking rather pained. She doesn't comment on the krogan's remark right away. (Renala_T`Iavay)
Gren storms out, reloading another shot into his heavy weapon. As he spots the skycar, he unleashes himself into a full sprint, releasing a shockwave at the asari and vehicle alike. If he reaches the skycar on time, he would throw himself at it in a full on shoulder charge.
Austin picks himself off the ground and draws his phalanx from his hip. ''Ugh.... better follow suit.'' He jogs outside, to find a way he can help.
The skycar's doors are closing as the krogan fires at it, but the shockwave knocks it down during its ascent. However, she manages to get it airborne again before the krogan catches up to it and sets off in the direction of the spaceport. The tinted windows makes it unclear whether his shotgun fire connected with anyone inside. (Renala_T`Iavay)
Renala glances towards the exit, but doesn't follow out. She holsters her pistol and jogs over to check on the bar owner.
Gren slows to a stop, growling in frustration as he reloads his shotgun and holsters it. "Bitch," he mutters as he turns back to the bar. He trudges inside, moving back over to Aylena, barely giving Austin a glance as he moves past him.
Austin holsters his pistol and walks back inside holding his back ''Getting too old for this.'' He walked towards Renala, once back inside.
Renala makes her way around the bar-counter to look for a first aid kit. "Did she get away?" she glances towards the two returning.
Ehanis gets up from her booth and approaches the bar. "The fuck was that about?" she asks nobody in particular before putting down her empty glass on the counter. She's dressed in a not all that modest red top held up by shoulder-straps and non-descript dark blue pants. A purse hangs over her shoulder, large enough to possibly contain a handgun. (Renala_T`Iavay)
Most patrons are calming down now that it looks like the threat is gone, some taking this time to make their leave, causing a few more people to approach the bar to pay their tabs. Va'ynna peeks through the open door to the back, but she's too scared to come out of the hallway. (Renala_T`Iavay)
Gren glares over the patrons, clearing his throat loudly. "I hope no one is skipping out on their tab?" He asks the room, narrowing his eyes.
Aylena sighs. "Let's hope she learned her lesson," she says, dragging up her sleeve a bit to inspect her injury: it's very swollen. "That old bitch has been bothering me for a while." (Renala_T`Iavay)
Austin rubbed his face ''How I enjoy fighting biotics.'' He said out loud and it was clear it was not a serious tone.
No patrons headed for the exit turns back. Maybe they've paid the tab, maybe they're hoping the less-than-happy krogan doesn't know who has. (Renala_T`Iavay)
Information. About the agency and some people in it. She was acting fucking entitled about it, too. (Renala_T`Iavay)
Gren grunts and turns back to Aylena. He doesn't respond to the human. "What business is it of hers?"
Renala places the first aid kit on the counter and opens it, but goes over to help a few patrons with their payment. She has installed a terminal a few days back, so she knows how to use it.
Aylena digs into the first aid kit and finds some medi-gel which she uses to numb the swelling around the base of her left hand. "Who knows," she says. "I wasn't in a position to ask questions, I was told again and again." (Renala_T`Iavay)
Ehanis sits down on the bar to wait for her turn to pay, listening in on the conversation around her. (Renala_T`Iavay)
Gren grunts, itching his plate. "She a matriarch? 'Cos I have a feeling that next time, she'll be bringing friends. Commandos, maybe."
Aylena pauses for a while to wait for the pain to fade away. "I'll try reach out to an old friend that may work with her. Maybe that'll diffuse this before it comes to that." (Renala_T`Iavay)
Shyva'Nahl shuffles out of the employee area, wiping her gloved hands with a rag. "B-Bathroom's d-done. Going on break." She says to Aylena as she approaches the bar. "Is t-that okay?" she asks. Shyva is a fairly average height Quarian wearing a light blue and white suit with a gold trim and pretty patterns over the fabric. Her visor is a dark blue but her eyes still shine bright behind
Aylena nods. "I know," she says, "but it's worth an attempt." She pauses, and pats the krogan's shoulder. "Thank you," she says. "Things would have gotten ugly if you hadn't shown up when you did." She then looks towards the quarian. "That's okay." (Renala_T`Iavay)
Shyva'Nahl blinks then realises she can't hear anything. She opens her omnitool and turns off her music, then turns back to Aylena, making sure she didn't miss anything.
Gren laughs, nodding to Aylena. "I have a knack for timing," he says. "Might as well hire me full time."
Aylena is standing infront of the bar with the mercs, and is tying to get her sleve to cover the swelling on the base of her hand. "I'll think about it," she says. "I don't think Redrock will be very happy about it if you took their contract." (Renala_T`Iavay)
Shyva'Nahl smiles at Aylena and nods before shuffling over to Ehanis. She sits down and hugs the Asari briefly before sitting up in her chair. "H-hey Ehanis!" she says. "B-Been a little while. I'm okay, g-getting by. Kinda hit a rough patch recently, but I'm, erm... recovering. H-How're you?"
Renala is still busy helping patrons pay their tabs, although a few have reconsidered and instead ordered a drink now that it doesn't look like 'Matriarch Cheerful' is returning. She serves the simple requests.
Pip hesitantly walks into the bar, squeezing past a few patrons. Her trench coat is missing, simply dressed in her white vest, crimson trousers and flight boots with both knives strapped to them. Two predators are strapped to her utility belt. She pauses inside and tilts her cap up, observing the scene.
Ehanis returns the hug. "I'm fine," she says. "I'm a little worried. My sister is with the agency, and they're... gone. Not even she has any fucking clue where they are." She bobs her head towards Renala, who has been working security at the Respite for the last 7 days (including today). (Renala_T`Iavay)
Pip may notice a trail of purple droplets on the floor/pavement outside and just inside the entrance. (Renala_T`Iavay)
Shyva'Nahl looks over at REnala. "Huh... s-so that's why its been quiet..." she murmers. "H-heard nothing f-from them, huh?" she asks. "I'm s-sure they'll be fine. I m-mean, they're highly trained mercs, right? Isn't t-that turian with them now? The o-one always showing up in the armour and a-armed to the teeth? S-She kinda creeps me out."
then looks over her shoulder at Pip. "Brawl? T-There was a brawl?" she looks around. "D-Don't tell me I'm on b-blood duty again...."
Pip avoids the droplets of blood and steps over towards the bar. "Well, I could hear biotics being thrown around from down the street, so...".
Va'ynna peeks through the door to the back, and once she notices it's safe, she makes her way over to a booth with a tray containing two plates and some drinks. (Renala_T`Iavay)
Aylena nods and moves over to the other side of the bar. "It's handled now," she assures them. (Renala_T`Iavay)
Ehanis shrugs. "Eh, you're better off that way," she says. "That bitch was a matriarch. Almost scared the living crap out of me." (Renala_T`Iavay)
Shyva'Nahl looks between them and sighs. "Good thing I m-missed it." she says, then spots the blood spots on the ground. "O-Oh come on..." she mutters as she leaves the bar to enter the employee area. She returns with a bucket and mop, then starts mopping them up. "Y-You'd think people would have the c-common courtesy t-to NOT bleed on MY floors."
Most do, but you can't have a norm without exceptions, can you? I won't just suddenly want to up and go home in a few years.... (Renala_T`Iavay)
Oh, uh, didn't mean anything by it, uh... coughs. I found a place. Cheap house on the outskirts of town.
Shyva'Nahl finishes mopping then turns to Pip. She notices the guns. "Fun, another r-rough and tumble person. Look, don't bleed on my floors, okay? And don't make someone else bleed on them." That's all she says as she walks past to put her mop and bucket away. She then returns to the bar. "S-Some people. D-Do you know how hard it is to g-get blood stains out once they've set?" she asks
I don't do much of the fightin'. These are more... Insurance, than anythin'. My friend does the hittin'.
Shyva'Nahl looks over at Pip then smiles. "T-Then we w-won't have a problem." She offers her Quarian hand. "I'm S-Shyva. I keep this place s-sparkling."
Shyva'Nahl smiles happily. "P-Pip? I l-like it." she says. "Kinda... cute." She offers her the seat next to her. "Have y-you met my friend Ehanis?"
Pip chuckles awkwardly and her cheeks redden. "Uh, thanks." She looks at Ehanis and gives her the same warm smile as she sits next to the quarian. "Howdy."
A few reasons. One of them involves drink. The others... Well, I'm lookin' for people. Have been for awhile now.
Shyva'Nahl tilts her head. "Well d-drinks are easy to get here. W-Who are you looking for?" she asks
Pip smiles softly. "People with a particular set of skills. And who ain't afraid of a little danger," she chuckles.
Va'ynna makes her way back around the bar, stopping by Renala to murmur a question. Getting a short answer of 'no', she looks dissatisfied and continues through the door to the back. (Renala_T`Iavay)
"Typical. Find a c-cutie, turns out she's up t-to no good." she says before heading around the bar to get herself a glass of sterile water.
Ehanis giggles at the quarian before looking at Pip. "What kind of job are you hiring for?" (Renala_T`Iavay)
Pip blushes at the quarian's remark. "Well, it's... Complicated. Also a reason why I ain't found anybody willin' to do it," she says to Ehanis.
Renala walks over to the quarian. "I don't believe we've met," she says, extending a hand. "I'm Renala. Security here while Briggs is off with the rest of the agency."
Shyva'Nahl blinks and looks at Renala. "I t-think we might have." she says, taking the hand. "S-Shyva`Nahl. Janitor."
Pip looks hesitant to share. "Well... It's a heist...". She leans in and wets her lips. "And the target is Synthetic Insights. If the job goes to plan, the payment could range well into the triple digits"
Shyva'Nahl nods and smiles. "L-Likewise." she says, then looks over at Pip again. "W-What did they do?"
Ehanis raises an eyebrow. "Uh, I'll think about it," she says. "Not going to say yes on that one without doing my homework." (Renala_T`Iavay)
Pip sighs. "Yep. That's what most say...". She turns to Shyva and shrugs. "They didn't do anythin' to me, personally. But they have somethin' I'm interested in and I have a potential buyer for the other stuff," she says.
Shyva'Nahl shakes her head a little. "Wanna steal from a s-small company on a s-struggling world for personal gain... d-do you think that's right?"
Renala places her hands flat on the counter as she leans on it, and stares at Pip. "Have you lost your mind, girl?" she says with a lowered voice. "That's no small target."
Aylena is far from their earshot, typing on a terminal as fast as she can without using her left hand to process a payment. (Renala_T`Iavay)
Pip stares evenly at Renala, leaning in slightly. "No, I haven't. And I'm aware of who they are and the risks involved," she says in an equally lowered voice. "The payout is worth it and I don't have much to lose. What's it to you?"
Renala sighs. "If you were, you wouldn't even think about it," she says, before turning around and leaving through the door to the back.
"Only in the t-triple digits?" she asks. "From the sounds of things, it looks like its NOT worth it."
Ehanis nods. "I have to agree with Shyv' here," she says. "They sound like a pretty big deal from how she reacted." A gesture towards the door Renala went through follows. (Renala_T`Iavay)
"I c-could understand a couple t-thou' for a h-heist like that, but only a couple of hundred? I c-can make that in the saftey of the REspite over a few weeks. No risk."
Shyva'Nahl looks over at Gren, then to Pip. "Oh. S-Should have s-said so." she says. "Still, stealing f-from people who d-don't really deserve it... y-you're kind of a bad person."
Pip folds her arms, frowning. "Yeah, maybe I am. But it's all I know, s'how I was raised. Steal from the rich to give to the desperate or some shit like that."
"E-Ever thought about g-going straight?" she asks, "Or join a merc band o-or something? T-There's more to life than just stealing." the quarian explains. "Especially when y-you end up in way o-over your head. L-Looks like the general consensus around here i-is that you'd b-be a fool to do this job."
Pip almost recoils at the prospect of joining a merc band, something flashing behind her eyes. "I've tried goin' straight, but I can't adjust to that life. And how is joinin' a merc band any better? I've seen thosr bastards wipe out whole families... Fuckin' savages."
"T-They also protect this place." she says, gesturing to the respite. "And my f-friend here wants to join Redrock, the head mercs around here." she says, nudging Ehanis.
Ehanis nods. "I've seen the worst of them, so I get where you're coming from," she says, "but Redrock Agency seems like good people." (Renala_T`Iavay)
Pip scowls. "How is what they do any different to me? They sell their services to the highest bidder, so do I. Apart from I don't pillage and rape-" she closes her eyes and takes a deep breath, calming herself. "I... Have yet to see any good come from mercenaries."
"T-Then stick around h-here then." she says. "R-Redrock have done nothing b-but good for me. A-At least, the ones I've spoken to have. They keep this part of town safe."
Keep acting high and mighty, and we'll see how well that works out for you. Maybe you have to do your pillaging yourself. (Renala_T`Iavay)
High and mighty?! Fuck you, you presumptuous bitch! You don't know anything, anything about being helpless and at the mercy of a bunch of fuckin' animals!
Shyva'Nahl squeaks in fright as Pip flies off the handle and cowers on her seat. "pleasedon'thurtme!"
Pip raises to her feet, slamming her fists into the table and visibly trembling with anger. She lowers her voice to a dangerous whisper. "Don't you fuckin' dare judge me. You have no idea...".
Ehanis wraps an arm over Shyva's shoulders. "Go say what you just said to a mirror," she says. "She'll know what you're on about." (Renala_T`Iavay)
Pip trembles, tears flowing freely. After a few pregnant moments, she takes a sharp intake of breath and sinks into her seat, covering her mouth with her hand. Gren releases his grip and walks back to the bar.
Gren lowers his voice, turning to look at Aylena. "Girl has issues," he rumbles. "Going to kick her out?"
Aylena walks over to the krogan. "Let her stay. Nobody's hurt, right?" she says. "And you don't work here, so can I get you a drink? On the house, of course." (Renala_T`Iavay)
Aylena smiles faintly and moves over to get a bottle of Ryncol. After she returns, she finds a rather large mug and pours it. "Wasn't really hard to guess," she says with a soft chuckle. She places the mug and the bottle with what's left on the counter. (Renala_T`Iavay)
Gren lifts the mug in a semi-toast and downs most of it in one go. He slams it back on the counter and pours whatever is left into the mug, this time sipping at it. "Never is," he replies, chuckling.
Pip lowers her hand and hesitantly looks up, regret etched into her features. "I'm sorry," she says, scarce above a whisper. "I-".
Ehanis places her hand around the quarian again, not saying anything. She doesn't make it clear whether she heard Pip. (Renala_T`Iavay)
Shyva'Nahl does feel comforted by Ehanis. "Thanks." she whispers, glancing at Pip subtly. She's shaking quite a bit still.
Pip rubs an eye and slowly rises from her seat. "I won't bother you again...". She keeps her head bowed, avoiding everyone's eyes as she makes her way to the exit.
Shyva'Nahl watches as Pip leaves. "A pity." she murmurs to Ehanis. "Cute, b-but... thief. Not a f-fun combo."
Gren shrugs. "Haven't given it much thought. Have been looking at bounties recently, less of a headache. 'Sides, isn't Redrock in the shitter? Lost their HQ?"
Shyva'Nahl shakes her head. "N-No, not anymore. Z-Zaan and I broke up. She d-didn't have time to be with m-me because of work s-so we decided its b-best to end it."
Pip pauses at the door for a moment, before slipping out. Where she was sat is a small coin that must've fallen out of her pocket during her outburst.
Aylena considers it for a moment. "They're still operating, at least," she says. "Almost all of them are gone on some big job, I heard. Must have been, since T'Iavay was barely fit enough to work when she traded places with Briggs so he could go." (Renala_T`Iavay)
Ehanis squeezes the quarian's shoulders. "Oh, I didn't know," she says. "I don't think I ever met her...." (Renala_T`Iavay)
Hmm. I suppose that's good enough. It'll give me something other to do than save this place every week.
Shyva'Nahl nods and leans into Ehanis. "Y-Yeah, t-that's because she was always at work." she explains. "I miss her sometimes. She was nice, k-kind... good golly she had h-hips for days..." she sighs and shakes her head. "But it w-wasn't meant to be."
Aylena smiles. "Not that there's anything bad about that," she points out, "except the need for it arising. I suppose that comes with running a business out here." (Renala_T`Iavay)
Ehanis nods. "They always end," she says. "I know all about that. But... moving on has always worked for me." (Renala_T`Iavay)
The last month has been pretty bad, but that's not the norm. Usually security don't have anything worse than a difficult drunk to deal with. (Renala_T`Iavay)
Shyva'Nahl nods and sits up straight again. "Think I'm ready t-to move on. Thankfully w-we realised it wouldn't work early on." she sips her water and clears her throat. "Think I'm gonna keep my eyes open, y'know?"
Ehanis lets go off her shoulders. "Take your time," she says. "That's how you figure out who's going to stick with you in the long run." (Renala_T`Iavay)
Shyva'Nahl smiles and nods. "Of course. Doesn't mean I can't keep my eyes open." she leans against Ehanis again. "But I'll survive for now with friends like you, E-Ehanis."
Aylena sighs. "I'll need a lot of them," she says, "and someone to maintain them, because that's not my kind of tech. And I doubt Redrock will let me keep T'Iavay once they're all back." (Renala_T`Iavay)
Gren notices the gleam of the small coin as he glances over. "You dropped something, quarian." He turns back to Aylena and leans on the counter. "Yeah, probably a drain on creds."
Ehanis pats her back. "I'm here ever--" She glances over at the krogan, then the quarian. (Renala_T`Iavay)
Shyva'Nahl blinks and looks at the coin. She picks it up and tilts her head. "This isn't m-mine." she says, looking it over.
Gren | 'Tis a simple, circular antique coin. A woman's head with a crown adorns one side, the other is an old crest.
"...I d-don't get it." she says. "This is a c-coin, right?" she asks Ehanis. She's never touched one before. "...yeah, I prefer creds."
Ehanis shrugs. "Probably counts as currency on some world out there," she says, glancing at it. "I would just leave it on the counter." (Renala_T`Iavay)
Shyva'Nahl plops it down on the counter. "Probably crazy cutie's." she says, knowing Aylena would take care of it for now.
Aylena nods. "I've had enough of those," she says, referring to the drain on credits. "It's hard to predict anything with things like this shaking up all the data." (Renala_T`Iavay)
Ehanis doesn't sound very serious. "Anyway, how's things going with work, and are you still staying upstairs?" (Renala_T`Iavay)
Shyva'Nahl merely shrugs. "Hope she finds it. Looks old." she says. "A-Anyway, yeah, still got my room upstairs. Got n-no reason to leave, I mean working here is good a-and it gives me f-free room amd board. I'm a-all set!"
Aylena nods. "Me too," she says. "but business is usually good and predictable. It's just this month, like I said before." (Renala_T`Iavay)
Well, hopefully it'll be over soon. Nice little joint, this place. Hate to see it go out of business
Ehanis frowns. "I still haven't gotten a job. My sister made sure I didn't get on board with the one Redrock is on now." (Renala_T`Iavay)
Shyva'Nahl looks over at Gren. "Me too. I like having a j-job." She looks back to Ehanis. "Oh, I thought y-you were already with them. M-maybe when they're back? Work more locally or something?"
I'm hoping for that. My sister owes me that much; she knows the top people personally, too. (Renala_T`Iavay)
Shyva'Nahl smiles and squeezes Ehanis' arm. "Good! I'm cheering f-for you." she says. "S-Shouldn't they be back by now?"
Ehanis looks at the door to the back. "I don't know," she says. "She doesn't know, either." (Renala_T`Iavay)
Shyva'Nahl pats her hand and smiles. "IF y-you want to get your mind off things, I finish work in a few hours."
Aylena sighs. "She asked not to, because of how the last... mess ended," she says. "I couldn't just say no to that, you know? You know how frightened she can get." (Renala_T`Iavay)
Ehanis smiles. "I'll probably be around," she says. "Mian is working late today, so no point going home to an empty apartment." (Renala_T`Iavay)
Shyva'Nahl smiles and nods. "Its settled then. We'll h-hang out and e-eat junk food. Or... nutrient paste and junk food. With water. Or alcohol. Stuff." She grins again, even thought she doesn't really know how to hang out. "It'll be fun!"
"I m-meant alcohol f-for you, if that's your thing." she says. "I'm s-saving my first t-time drinking alcohol for a special occasion."
Ehanis glances at the krogan before looking at Shyva with a titled head. "But the first time drinking is a special occasion in itself!" She grins. (Renala_T`Iavay)
Shyva'Nahl chuckles. "M-Maybe, but not w-what I mean." she says. "I mean s-something big, dunno what, but I'll know when it happens."
Ehanis smirks. "I know," she says, "At least your first time won't involve angry parents in any way." (Renala_T`Iavay)
Shyva'Nahl chuckles. "I've never seen m-my parents angry." she says. "B-Besides, they're lightyears away." she then checks her omnitool. "Oh maaaan... Ehanis, I gotta get back to work. I'll c-call you when I'm off though, yeah?"
Ehanis nods. "I think I'll go for a walk, then," she says. "I won't be far away, don't worry." (Renala_T`Iavay)
Shyva'Nahl smiles and nods before giving Ehanis another hug then leaves to the employee area to get her cleaning supplies. Back to work!
Gren looks back to the where he splintered a table. He grins and gives a small shrug. "I paid you back."
Aylena nods. "I remember," she says. "I appreciated that, even if your help back then more than paid for it."
Aylena laughs, although not for very long. "I apologize. I have never heard a krogan say that before," she says. "It really did help, but it's still too soon to really tell how it is going to pan out in the long term."
Aylena nods. "Thanks, I wish every mercenary shared that sentiment," she says, glancing at the exit. She pauses, gripping her left hand, and sighs. "I think I'll have to get a doctor to check on the hand."
Aylena starts typing on the terminal, slowly since she wants to be careful with the left hand. "I'm hoping T'Iavay and Atana will be able to improvise."
Aylena nods, and logs out of the terminal. "They will have to," she says with a small smile. "I got an appointment in not too long, so I will see you again." Without awaiting response, she moves over to another patron within earshot that signals for service.
