Shyva'Nahl stands in the middle of the bar room with a mop, humming to herself as he scrubs the floor. Seems like a rather slow night in the respite, only a few patrons dotted about.

Pip walks into the Respite, pulling up the collar of her coat and keeping the peak of her cap low. She walks straight back to where she was sat before and starts searching around the table.

Shyva'Nahl mop mop mops until she turns to see Pip. "Oh. H-Hello." she says, shaking a little as she remembers her outburst. "Lose s-something?" she asks, thinking it must be the coin.

Pip looks up and nods, though she doesn't say anything. She turns back to searching, sighing in exasperation.

Shyva'Nahl takes a hesitent step forward. "Waaaaanna tell me w-what it is?" she asks. "I'm t-the one that finds t-things around here. M-Maybe I can help?" Being the janitor, she's always finding random crap left behind.

Pip sighs and stands, turning to the quarian as she places a hand on her hip, canting her pose slightly. "It was a coin. A small round metal disc," she says.

Shyva'Nahl blinks and nods. "Mhm. I f-found that." she says. "T-Thought it w-was weird, carrying around something so... old. Antique, even, instead of l-leaving it in the safety of your home." she looks around for a second then taps her mask. "Where did I..." she nods to herself and heads behind the bar.

Pip follows, shoving a hand into her pocket. "It's... Lucky," she says hesitantly. "I've had it since I was a kid."

Shyva'Nahl nods as she sifts through the bottles, looking for the coin. "Mm, heirloom, I get it n-now." she says, crouching down. She lifts herself up with the coin in her slender fingers. "Is t-this it?" she asks.

Pip nods and holds out her hand. "Yeah, that's it. Thanks."

Shyva'Nahl reaches out and puts the coin in her palm. "B-be more careful in the future, okay?" she asks. "I wouldn't w-want it taken b-by someone less... curtious."

Pip rolls the coin between and over her fingers, smiling faintly at the familiar metallic touch. "Yeah, noted," she says, looking up at the mask. "And... Sorry. About before. Was kind of a sore spot."

Shyva'Nahl nods slowly. "Mm. K-Kinda freaked me out." She mumbles, looking down and wringing her hands. "Y-You okay now though?"

Pip lets out a small, sharp laugh. "No, no that kind of shit sticks with you for-fuckin'-ever." She pauses and smiles thinly. "But thanks for askin'."

Shyva'Nahl nods again, just a little. "S-Sucks." she mumbles. "Just... t-try not to explode again? I k-know a few people who g-get trigger twitchy when someone does something like that."

Pip rubs the back of her neck awkwardly. "Yeah, I'll try not to," she says, glancing to the side. "When you see your friend again, can you tell her I'm sorry?"

Shyva'Nahl blinks and tilts her head. "Oh! E-Ehanis. Sure thing... Pip, right?" she asks. "Y-You kinda look like you could use a drink."

Pip chuckles. "I suppose I could," she admits.

Shyva'Nahl looks around under the bar. "Um... s-so what can I get you?" please not a cocktail, please not a cocktail...

Whiskey, straight up.

Pip slips onto a stool and rests her elbows on it. She tilts up her cap, unshadowing her bright blue eyes.

"Easy." Shyva says with a hint of releif in her tone. She takes out a small glass and a bottle of whikey, then pours it out. "Just a q-quick word of encouragement, t-things always get better." she says, sliding it to her. "Well, easier, but only if you l-let it. Its w-what my mum always told me."

"Or was it only if you work on it... not sure. Need to call her soon..."

Pip picks up the glass and takes a small swig of the liquid, smiling at the warmth of the drink. "Probably the latter," she says with a nod. "S'how I got as far as I did."

Shyva'Nahl nods and smiles a little, seeing Pip happy again. Definitely a better contrast to her 'sloding. "G-Good. T-That's what I like to hear." she says. "B-Besides, you suit a smile better t-than a scowl."

Pip chuckles, quickly putting on a mock frown. "I like to think I can work both," she laughs.

Shyva'Nahl smirks. "M-Maybe, but I think your smile is cuter." she says, then grabs a rag from the sink. She immediately starts attacking a ring on the counter from a glass used WITHOUT A COASTER!

Pip smiles and looks down at her glass. "Thanks," she mumbles. "So, how long have you been workin' here?"

Shyva'Nahl taps her mask as she thinks. "A f-few weeks now." she says. "I t-think I was lucky to get a j-job here, really. It just kinda... fell in my lap, y'know? Good oppurtunity, my room and board are both free."

So not that long? But yeah, good on you. If I knew being a janitor was so cushy, I would of signed up!

Shyva'Nahl grins. "Toooo late." she says as she scrubs, really getting in there. "Its a g-good job. I did it because I h-have a background in t-the custodial arts." the quarian explains. "But really, it can be done decently b-by anyone. I'm j-just exceptional at it."

Pip grins, gesturing to her casually. "Modest and easy on the eyes," she comments, chuckling.

Shyva'Nahl blushes a little behind her mask. "T-Thank you." she says, then stands up again. "B-but for reals, if y-you don't mind clearing up a-after people, it makes for a decent job. Some things m-might make your stomach t-turn at first, but... y'know. You g-get used to it." she shudders when she remembers her first time clearing up blood and... what she thought might just be bits of

brains.

Pip perks her eyebrows up. "Stomach turn? Like what?"

Shyva'Nahl gulps. "W-Well... blood was new t-to me." she says. "I t-think bits of b-brain... maybe..." she shakes and wrings her hands. "I'm used to b-blood by now... not so much organs."

Oh. Ouch... What happened?

Shyva'Nahl sighs. "Well, I w-was kinda barricaded away in my room. I t-think it was something to do with badguys, the people t-that do security for us, and a b-bit of interrogation."

Pip shakes her head slightly. "Y'know what, spare me the details. I don't think I actually want to know...".

Aylena finishes serving a patron that was ordering for a group, and starts walking over to the quarian, and clears her throat. "Shyva'Nahl," she says. "You didn't seem so eager when I mentioned bartending a few weeks ago."

Shyva'Nahl nods to Pip. "N-Neither do I, but I s-still cleaned up." She blinks and looks over at Aylena. "Oh, um... I... well, I w-was here... just o-one person, simple order..." she says, feeling a bit scared of Aylena and possibly being in trouble. "Not my f-forte... I'll get back to work..." she shifts around the bar and grabs her mop again.

Pip looks at Aylena and smiles slightly. "I'm sorry, it was my fault. I wasn't aware she wasn't allowed to serve," she says.

Aylena sighs and steps over to the nearest terminal. "I won't blame you," she says. "Now, was it this bottle?" She reaches out and picks up the whiskey bottle nearest them.

Pip nods, pulling out a few credit chits. "Yeah, that was it," she confirms. "How much?"

Shyva'Nahl mops the floor once more, feeling a bit embaressed. She should have known not to serve someone. She distracts herself with her mopping though, getting one particularly stubborn spot out.

Aylena types on her terminal. "Fifty credits," she says. "I could put it on your tab if you're going to stick around for a while." It's not the cheapest Whiskey, and wouldn't be the one Aylena would use to fill a generic order.

Pip gawps. "Fif- right... Yeah, stick it on my tab," she mumbles. "I thought it tasted too good."

Shyva'Nahl looks over with an apologetic frown. "Sorryyy..." she whispers.

Pip shrugs, giving Shyva a small smile over her shoulder. "I've had more expensive things," she replies.

Shyva'Nahl can't help but smile back. "Lucky." she mumbles. She herself hasn't spent that many creds in one place before. Never had the chanc.

Aylena chuckles. "Hey. It was a mistake on our part. I'll knock it down to thirty," she types it on the terminal, "just this one time." She looks at the quarian. "It's fine. I can ask Va'ynna to teach you the basics one afternoon if you'd like to."

Pip breathes a sigh of relief and smiles at the asari. "Thank you," she says. "I've almost been drained completely of creds."

Shyva'Nahl breathes a tiny sigh too. "M-Maybe... some other t-time..." she mumbles, then looks between Pip and Aylena. "A-Are we hiring, Aylena?" she asks.

Pip blinks.

Aylena looks a bit thoughtful. "Depends," she says. "What job are you thinking about?"

Uh, well, I wasn't- I'm not exactly sure- I'm more of a mechanic than a bartender or janitor...

Shyva'Nahl nods a little. "Maybe n-not best for here... I'm s-sure someone around here needs s-something fixed though."

Aylena shrugs. "You should probably find a job as a mechanic, then," she says. Another customer signals for her before she can await a response or continue, and she makes her way over to them.

Shyva'Nahl mosp the floor a little closer to Pip. "I s-suggest you do just that." she says. "M-Mechanics get good money on a p-planet like this."

Pip mutters under her breath as Aylena departs. "No shit." She turns and looks at Shyva. "They do, huh? Know anywhere that might need one?"

Shyva'Nahl hums as she scrubs under a stool. "Erm... I h-haven't heard much. I'll k-keep my ear to the g-ground though. Throw your resume out t-to some of the shops in t-the area, I'm sure at least one is hiring."

Pip snorts, taking another swig of her drink. "I haven't exactly got a desirable résumé," she grumbles.

"H-How many people on this planet do you t-think HAVE desirable resumes?" she asks, stopping her mopping. "I h-had zero job experience, but I h-have skills in cleaning. Y-You have mechanical skills, someone will need t-that."

Pip hums. "Touché," she says. "I'll have a look around once I moved into my house."

Shyva'Nahl nods. "Good. A n-noble job, being a mechanic." she says. "W-Wait, a house? N-Nice. Must b-be expensive."

Hell yeah it is. But I learned reaaaaaaly early on that keepin' some money in reserve is a good idea. Also means furniture is not goin' to be present in my home. I didn't have THAT much saved.

Shyva'Nahl chuckles. "Good l-luck sleeping on the f-floor." she says. "If I h-had a spare mattress, I'd offer it, but... yeah, I d-don't actually own anything on this wh-whole planet."

Pip waves her hand dismissively. "At least I'll have a roof over my head. I've been in worse situations," she admits.

Shyva'Nahl nods. "A good attitude." she says. "G-Got a sleeping bag, at least?"

Pip nods. "Never leave planet without it," she chuckles, finishing off her drink.

Shyva'Nahl grins. "T-Then you're set for now." she says. "H-How big is the place?"

Big enough. It's the garage I was more interested in. Plenty of room in that.

Shyva'Nahl remembers she's most to be cleaning. She goes back to that. "T-That sounds wonderful. M-Much bigger t-than the rooms here." she says, moving the mop from side to side. "I t-think I prefer the cozyness of the places here though."

Pip grins slightly. "Yeah, cozy is a word for it," she agrees.

"e-Easy to barricade too." she says. "T-The beds have juuust e-enough room for a Quarian and several blankets." She gives a small, sort of adorable giggle.

Pip can't help but snicker along with the quarian. "I'm sure you could squeeze a few more things in there," she grins.

Shyva'Nahl hums as she rests her hand on the top of her mop. "I think if I m-moved some s-stuff around, I could p-probably fit another blanket or a few pillows, ma-maybe even another person. It'd be a tight squeeze though."

Pip arches her brow with a small grin. "You make that sound like a bad thing."

Shyva'Nahl shrugs and wrings the end of the mop out in a bucket. "N-Never said it was." she says with a giggle. "But i-its something I d-don't want to have to d-do. Test m-maybe, but not do."

Pip stands up and smirks, stepping over to the quarian. "I'm sure you'll be able to test it soon," she says, giggling. "I gotta go and finish moving in. See ya around." She steps around Shyva, pulling up her collar and tipping her cap forward.

Shyva'Nahl chuckles and smirks at Pip. "You offering?" she asks, then goes back to mopping. "G-Good luck with the m-moving in. D-don't be a stranger."

Pip gives a small wave over her shoulder. "Maybe I was," she says as she steps out of the Respite.

Shyva'Nahl watches as she leaves and hums. "I-Interesting." she says, then looks over at Aylena. "T-Thoughts, boss?"

On what? Her?

Aylena gestures towards the exit.

Shyva'Nahl nods at the Asari. "Mhm. T-Think she might be interested in m-me."

Aylena chuckles softly. "Who you spend your spare time with is none of my concern, but since you asked, well," she says, "I would be careful about her. The girl looks like trouble."

Shyva'Nahl hmmms and nods at the woman. "T-Think you might be r-right. S-Should play it slow, see w-who she really is." she says, mopping closer to the bar again. "A-and you kn-know I value your wise council, boss. Y-You're a lot more intuitive than me."

Aylena smiles slightly. "You didn't see her the first time she showed up?" she says. "The girl thought it was completely okay to just park a huge mech outside the front door."

Shyva'Nahl blinks at Aylena. "Wait what?" she asks. "A... a MECH?!" she darts to the window. "Pleasedon'tbegone..." she mumbles as she stares out the window. "Great. Missed a m-mech." she grunts.

It was making our guests nervous, so T'Iavay made her move it.

"Aw..." Shyva mumbles. "Cute and has a mech... pity she's a little nutty." she says. "We'll see how it goes." She picks up her mop and moves towards the stairs. "Interesting to say the least. Anyhoo, I've g-got the second floor to clean. C-Call me if you need me, boss!"

Aylena nods. "Will do," she simply says before moving to the nearest terminal.
