Skythix enters the lounge with a pack on her back. She's wearing a leather vest that only covers her torso and black pants that are fit tight to her legs, leaving her spurs to the air as well as a simple pair of combat boots. She eyes the patrons in the bar suspiciously at first, old habits never dying, before heading to wards the bar. She sat down at any vacant stool she could find

and eyed tapped on the counter twice with a talon. "Got anything I can drink here?" she asked whoever was working the bar.

Va'ynna nods and move over to find a bottle of turian brandy. It's imported, naturally, but not all that expensive. She moves over to the counter and puts the bottle down on it. "Is this fine?" she asks.

Ceeha`Tul looks up from his omni tool to gaze at the turian. 2 in one day, which is mildly intimidating, judging from the last. He slurps his dextro mixer, made up of.. of some sort of alcohol? He decides solo celebrations are in order from his divergence from the pecking order and militarism of the fleet.

Ceeha`Tul calls over to the bartender. "Turian brandy?"

Skythix let out a sigh of relief that she wasn't given swill. Recognizing the bottle, she pulled a chit from the side pocket of her backpack and put it on the counter. "Yes, please!" she said with a chuckle. "I gotta say, I'm not sure what I was expecting coming to a human and asari colony but I'm glad you at least have this." She then turned her head at the quarian that she apparently

completely missed on her way in. He almost looked like a mech to her. Guess the rumors of quarians being socially invisible were true. "I think someone else wants a taste, too." She thumbed over at the quarian calling over to them.

Ceeha`Tul shoots the turian a grin. 'Best subdue the aliens by showing you mean no harm', he quips to himself. He wanders over a couple stools across to the counter. "I wouldn't mind actually. Turian brandy is my favourite and I don't think I'll grab another one of them for a little while." He turns to face her, "At least for.. a day?"

Ceeha`Tul realises his omni tool's still open and turns off the probably weird-looking hologram

Skythix only managed a quick second glance at whatever the quarian had open on his omni-tool. "I guess that's up to you...?" She said with a raised brow plate. "And what was that?" She pointed at the quarian's arm.

Va'ynna gives a small smile, and takes the chit. "Thank you," she says. "There's... not that few... turians on this planet." She returns the chit if there was anything left on it and takes out a glass to put on the counter before her. After that, she walks over to the quarian, picking up another bottle of the same brandy on the way there. She takes out a glass and pours it before putting

it on the counter infront of him.

Ceeha`Tul "Oooh. Didn't know those moved." he says, looking in the direction of her brows. "Oh! Yeah, no, I'm new here. I haven't seen many turians at all. Mostly batarians and humans. Talked to my first one yesterday actually." he remarks, proudly. He resists the urge to puff up his chest. "Thank you." he remarks to the asari bartender.

Ceeha`Tul "This?" he says, raising his omni-tool arm, "Sure. It's a design for a little gadget I've been working on." He fiddles with the device before bringing up a hologram for a strange.. circle inside of a box. "It's a kind of compressed engine. It's like a prototype for modifying the mass effect drives and seeing what happens."

Ceeha`Tul turns to the bartender while holding his omni-tool to the turian. "I don't think I know your name, and judging from your stock I might end up here for a while." he says, grinning

Va'ynna smiles, and puts the bottle below the counter. She might have listened to the description of the gadget, and looked at the hologram, but she makes no indication whether any of the words actually stayed before going out the other ear. "That's... good to hear," she says. She takes a step back, and glances around the bar, but nobody seems to be needing anything at the moment.

Skythix mouthed a thank you at the asari and put her credit chit back. There was plenty left on there that she was going to have to make the best of. Not wasting anytime, she drank a mouthful of the brandy quickly, relishing in its slow burn down her throat. "Ahh that's good." She said, clenching her mandibles to her face for a brief second and clearing her throat. She wasn't expecting

many of her kind to be here but she was hoping the stereotype would be true in that turians were everywhere. Disappointed, she looked to the side at the object on display to her. "That... sounds dangerous." And stupid she added in her head. "I know someone back home that would be pissed if they saw you doing something like that to her engine." She remarked with a half grin. "My name's

Skythix." She said without offering any hand of friendship.

Ceeha`Tul laughs to the asari stepping back. "I meant, I will be at this drinking establishment often, I should probably know the name of the person entrusting me with the brandy." He patiently sets the brandy up with his emergency induction port and looks back up to the turian, half-sitting on the stool behind him. He takes a half second to relish the sweet olfactory senses piping into his suit. He...

...smiles at her remark, "Ah? I was planning to use it to make mini-shuttles. They don't mind as much back home." he grins back at her, content she didn't do a strange hand gesture like the human did. "Ceeha'Tul nar Maema."

Va'ynna blushes a bit, although it's not easy to spot. "I'm Va'ynna," she says. "Nice to... meet you, Ceeha'Tul."

Ceeha`Tul lets his smile take up most of his face, making him look more like a glowing version of the cheshyre cat. "Nice to meet you too." he moves his suited hand across his opposite arm. "I'm not too familiar with gestures of welcome.." he trails off, implying asari are a more touchy-feely species.

Skythix took the asari's name to memory, not needed to ask herself. "I still wouldn't touch a ship's engine. Wasn't my specialty." She eyed the bottle that the quarian was now eyeing. "Hope you can drink faster than me then because other that bottle is mine." She pointed at the brandy with the hand holding her glass.

Va'ynna looks a bit unsure for a moment and then extends a hand warily, taking his.

Ceeha`Tul slowly mimics the behaviour, trying to reign his narrowing eyes in from overhearing the turian. He attempts to make himself look casual as he stretches his other arm around to nurse the bottle, failing miserably. Mid-first handshake he turns to her and gives a smirk, "Oh really? How about next time we have a drink-off?

Ceeha`Tul cuts off the little interject and devotes his entire attention to the asari, slyly holding the bottle in his other hand. "Okay, so how do you do this thing?"

Skythix let out a low growl through her teeth. "That is not a game you want to play with me." She leaned her head on a hand that was resting on the bar counter, a challenging stare at the quarian. No one ever beats her in drinking games. Her smaller stature from other turians was more deceptive than anything. She spared a short glance at the asari who was looking uncomfortable. "You

can start by letting go of my brandy."

Ceeha`Tul pauses, turns to the merc and sighs and pours the whole bottle into his suit. "Really? It's not like I want a fight." he grins at her, 'might as well try to dissolve some of this tension' "I can buy you a drink though."

Va'ynna tilts her head and retracts her hand. "Um, she... paid for it," she says.

Ceeha`Tul turns to her. "..What? I didn't buy this one?"

Ceeha`Tul 's head tilts back, retracting his hand. "In that case, please can I order two bottles of your finest turian brandy?"

Skythix looked shocked at the quarian who effectivley just stole her liquor. She hopped off her seat and grabbed the quarian's suit and pulled him to her face, bearing her teeth. "You little suit rat! You better pay for that." She said with anger.

Ceeha`Tul flinches, midway through ordering a new brandy. His arms fly up "I didn't know! I've been drinking for..." he pauses "A while!"

Skythix stares at the quarian's mask for a few more seconds, trying her hardest to not throw him out of a window. She instead just dropped him unceremoniously back to his seat. "Maybe you've had enough then." She stared down at him.

Va'ynna gasps, and takes a step back. She mouths a few words, but no sound follow. The asari sighs relieved when no fight breaks out after all. "Two... bottles?" she hesitantly asks.

Skythix interjects. "Yeah. He'll be buying me two bottles." He continued to stare daggers at the quarian.

Ceeha`Tul coughs nervously, ignoring his life flashing before his eyes. Two near-death encounters, and he still has his shotgun left at home. Homeworld-damn turians. He turns to the bartender, "Yes please." he says, giving her a courtesy-based smile. He's starting to see a pattern of 'don't smile at mercs' emerging, so he clears his face and takes a deep breathes. ".. Sure."

Skythix sits back down at her seat and spreads her mandibles in a toothy grin. "Good! I'm glad we got that out of the way. It'll make a nice house warming gift." Her voice was void of all malice from before.

Ceeha`Tul groans internally. 'My drinking budget!' 'Well Ceeha, this is an opportunity, to work on your gadgets more.' "Hn. I'll take to recuperating from downing that bottle." he says, patting the side of his suit, and twisting a little to face the bar but not entirely away from the turian. The last thing he wants is to project any more weakness than that. Common courtesy is all.

Va'ynna nods and goes off, and starts looking through the small selection of turian drinks. After a bit of indecisison, she picks the second most expensive they have, which isn't really all that expensive compared to what one could get on a turian colony. She places the two bottles on the counter before the turian woman. She seems a bit unhappy with the resolution and her part in it.

Skythix felt a mixture of feeling sorry for the quarian and glee from getting to flex her power over people. He probably should have thought of that before taking her drink though. Drunken idiots will be drunken idiots, she shrugged internally. "No hard feelings." She reached over and pat the quarian on the shoulder. "Consider it you losing the first round. There's always tomorrow."

She said in a sweet tone. The harsh words mixed with her kind voice was probably not helping things.

Ceeha`Tul doesn't resist the urge to let out a groan. 'Well, I'm coming here in the fuuuuuture. I'm still getting that drinking competition with her one way or another.' He waits for the turian to go by and talks toward the counter once she's out of earshot. "You know what? She's probably some nice person under all those layers of merc." he says, resolutely. "No amount of mistaken drinking of other...

Ceeha`Tul ...peoples' bottles or sharing suit environments is going to get me down!" he says, prodding one of his fingers onto the counter surface.

coughs, 'mistakenly sharing suit environments.'

Skythix finished off the first drink that was poured for her and took her pack off to set on the floor. "Sorry about all that." she said to the asari. "Didn't mean to make such a terrible first impression." She smiled as wide as she could at her. She might have always been rough with people but most of the time she never harbored any real hatred for people or race. She also wondered if

the quarian knew that his drunken rumblings could be heard from where she was sitting. It was amusing regardless.

Ceeha`Tul briefly considers typing up a message to his friends, but thank Kami he has the soundness of mind to know he's drunk. He decides to regulate his actions until he's more sober, and takes a stoic tone as to not accidentally start ranting like an idiot. He finally takes into awareness the television playing.. some sort of sport on it.

Va'ynna returns a tiny smile. "It's fine," she says, "it... didn't end in violence." She noices a patron waving at her from further down the bar and she walks over to serve them.

Ceeha`Tul curls up his 3 fingered hand, imagining the results of hand grenades mixed with this human.. 'cricket'.

Skythix carefully places her new bottles of brandy into her backpack with a satisfied grin on her face. If others was looking he could see inside her pack were a few pairs of clothing, a couple smaller bags as well as a pouch for credit chits and a pistol. "By the way, I'll be needing a room for the night until I can get my foothold around town." She called over to the asari. "And I

don't make it a habit of throwing the first punch but I do love egging others on into doing it for me." She said with a sly grin to no one in particular. She opened up her omni-tool and began browsing the local area some more.

Va'ynna nods while walking over to acknowledge the turian. After taking the other patron's order and serving it, she makes her return and stops at the nearest terminal. "We do have rooms upstairs," she says, looking at the turian. "How many nights would you like to stay?"

Skythix raised a single talon. "Just one for now. I'm still looking for something a little more permanent. Can I pay as I go?" she asked unsurely. "To be honest I wasn't even sure this place had lodging until I saw the sign. Had to run it through my omni-tool just to translate it." A hint of a laugh masking her voice.

Va'ynna nods. "You can," she says with a smile. "One night is two-hundred credits." She starts typing on the terminal, setting up the booking.

Skythix lets out a sigh of relief. "That's fine. Spirits, you saved me a lot of trouble." She took out the same credit chit from before and handed it to the asari. "There should be just enough on there. I'm also looking for work if you know where I can check out a job board or something like that." She silently wondered to herself if the quarian next to her fell asleep in his suit or

something.

Va'ynna hums throughtfully. "There's a few people... working for Redrock Agency staying here," she says, "but they are... having a rough time recovering after... a job. I... don't know about anyone else needing security, though. I'm not... very informed about that."

Skythix looked confused at Va'ynna. Why was she talking so unsure of herself? Maybe that was just the way she spoke. She wanted to speak up about how it was racist for her to assume she was a mercenary but she was totally right. The thought alone made her grin to herself. "Maybe I'll go looking for one of them. I can be gentle."

Ceeha`Tul turns to the turian who'd glanced at him. 'I don't know why she's looking at me like that, not like I'm gonna join in on her booking a place here. Does she.. like me?' he almost wanted to grin but felt like scowling regardless. 'Damn instigating... I just want to order a dextro Kafa, she's probably stll pissed off at me or something'.

Ceeha`Tul flickers through his omni-tool in a not-so-subtle way of making himself look preoccupied

Va'ynna smiles. "I'll... hold you to that," she says. "Is there anything else I can get for you?"

Skythix | "Do you know any of their names?" She asked the asari. She then saw the quarian looking at her. She tilted her head to the side and put on a fake look of concern. "Oh come now. Don't tell me you're still sour about the drinks." She stated flatly.

Ceeha`Tul puts his chin on his hand, and decided to pause and genuinely consider how he felt about it. "Well... No, I would do that for anyone I did it to, because it was rude." 'I'm definitely not a fan of your instigating though, but mercs - what can you do?' "Give me a bit to get over the pain to my ego and I'll get back to you on that." giving a relatively subdued smile, and bringing his other...

...hand over his heart to dramatise his own reaction.

Va'ynna looks a luttle unsure for a moment whether she should say, and waits for the quarian to finish. "Jason, Briggs, T'Iavay, Polner...," she says. "I've... seen them here recently. They are nice people."

Skythix smiled softly at Ceeha. "Take all the time you need." She said in a sickly sweet voice, not phased by his dramatics. "And thank you, Va'ynna. I'll look into it, I appreciate the info." She reached down and closed her pack before picking it back up and standing up from her seat. "I'll be retiring upstairs for the moment then. Try not to crack your mask when you trip on the

pavement." She flicked her fingers at him before heading off.

Va'ynna | "See you," she says. Then she makes her way over to another patron trying to get her attention.

Ceeha`Tul nods to the turian, who'd already begun to turn and make her exit. Clearly that probably couldn't have gone better after the drinking thing. 'Eh, I wouldn't hold a grudge. Who knows? Might as well grab a coffee and ask the bartender to watch this human sport'. He calls her over, attempting some small talk (notoriously hard to do when you're a quarian downing alcohol he hadn't had in weeks,...

...ignoring earlier that day), with somewhat cheesy results.

Ceeha`Tul sticks around for as long as he can't be said to having felt chased out, seeing as he'd spent way too long in his own little world in nostalgia over excursions and memories in the Maema. 'This is it, the life outside of the ship. I better make some sort of use of it.' he says, standing up

Ceeha`Tul ... only to be hit with how hard the alcohol was, jeeeeez. He eventually makes his way to his residence on the same street, obviously why he's gonna stick around here, and collapses on the cheap apartment bed, 'probably equal-opportunity low pay regardless of being a quarian', he snides before instantly falling asleep on the beat-up mattress
