Pip | In the outskirts of Freedom Falls, Pip has parked up her flatbed on the edge of the woods. The back of the flatbed is empty, save for an open crate littered with tools besides a closed one. She's dressed in her usual attire. A white T-shirt, crimson jeans and shin high flight boots. Her coat is draped over the open door to the truck.

Pip has her omni-tool open and has one of her predator pistols casually spinning around her finger on her right hand. It's unloaded.

Skythix decided it was as good a day as it was going to get with this planet's weather to take a quick trip out on her new hover bike. A recent used purchase that was practically running scrap when it was sold to her. It still barely worked but atleast it ran, if rather noisely. She was wearing a warm, dark leather jacket and heavy pants with her combat boots. She wondered if she'd ever

get used to the cold weather. On her head was a helmet with a polarized visor to obscure her face. On her way out of the city, she took an exit off that headed towards a forested area to try and get a better lay of the land. She noticed a truck nearby but paid it not much mind. She stopped her bike about half a click from the truck and turned it off, opting to keep her helmet on. It was

rather warm inside anyway. She tried to look what was going on at the truck but could only make out a figure that was probably human standing next to the truck.

Pip turns her head to the sound of a bike that was clearly barely working. It's cries of anguish pained her to the point of almost going over there and fixing it herself. With a resigned sigh, she turns back to her omni-tool and watches it intently. "Hurry up ya' big bastard...".

Skythix could brag about her good eye sight but even from there she was having a hardtime picking out what was happening over that. What was the woman doing outside the city with a flatbed all by herself? Shifty and shady were an example of a few words that came to mind. She turned back to her bike and reached into the side bags, pulling out a side arm pistol that she stuffed into the

side pocket of her jacket and unfolded her mantis rifle and slinging a strap over her shoulder. She removed her helmet and placed it on the bike before heading off towards the woods, keeping a constant side glance at the woman and the truck.

Pip pays the figure to the side no mind as she watches her omni-tool. With a flourish, she stops spinning the pistol and holsters it in one smooth practised motion. After a few moments, she glances to the side as the figure disappears into the treeline.

Skythix managed to get about a hundred feet into the woods as she examined her surroundings. However, about a hundred feet in, her curiosity got the best of her and she turned around to head back towards the truck. She stopped about fifty feet inside the woods before huddling behind a tree line and grabbing her mantis. She tried to get a better look at to what the human was doing. She

pulled the scope out from the rifle and used it to get a much clearer look at the human.

Pip | Through Sky's scope, she would still see Pip examining her omni-tool. Sky could vaguely see the hovering image over the tool. The picture seems to be moving. A video perhaps?

Skythix groaned to herself and attached her scope back to the rifle. What was she doing? It was just some person who came to the outskirts like she did. She knew it was a little paranoid but it was better safe than sorry. She started walking outside of the woods about ten feet to the right where the human and the truck was parked, raising a waving hand towards her. "Hey there." She called

out, one hand swinging and the other holding the strap of the mantis on her shoulder.

Pip starts and immediately drops a hand to her other pistol, gripping it tightly. She sees an armed individual walking towards her and years of living on the streets have made her wary. "Hey," she replies cautiously.

Skythix stopped moving instantly with a single step back and raised her hands up in a surrender fashion. "Woah woah! Friendly!" Her eyes moved instantly to see where she'd be able to find cover if she needed to quickly.

Pip snorts. "Military," she states simply

Pip takes her hand away from her gun and looks back at the omni-tool. "What do you want?" She asks tersely.

Skythix put her hands down slightly but still kept them up enough incase she needed to act fast. "Not military anymore actually." She was beginning to regret this. "And nothing. I'm just wandering around, honest." Spirits, that did not sound any better. "I'm new to the planet and it's the first time i've left the city limits."

Pip looks up with an appraising look. Her eyes flick up and down the Turian's figure. "Your waist is quite supportive," she says as an off hand comment. "So, why'd you come out here?" She asks, her eyes drawn back to the omni-tool.

Skythix only gave the human a quick glance, mostly just to look for weapons and other threats, not caring at all for her looks. The initial comment just made her blink a few times, her mandibles flicking once. "Uhh... right. For me, I just wanted to take a trip with my new hoverbike." She thumbed behind herself at where she parked it, not daring to take her eyes off the human for now.

"And like I said, just trying to get a better bearing on the planet."

Pip nods, closing down the omni-tool and staring straight ahead into the treeline. THUMP. THUMP. "Your bike sounds like a piece of crap," she says, completely unperturbed by the metallic thuds just beyond the treeline. "You looking for someone to fix it up?"

Skythix stiffened up at the sound of the loud metallic sounds coming from behind her. Was there a logging company working back there that she missed? She hazard a look behind her for a quick second before turning back around. "Eh, yeah I know. I had to work on it just to make it run. It was the only way I could get the guy to sell it to me for so cheap." Skythix was looking visibly

concerned now.

Pip chuckles. THUMP, THUMP, THUMP. "Well, you did a shit job by the sounds of it," she says, glancing to the woman. "Lemme guess, strapped for cash?" Pip tilts her head slightly as the thumps get progressively louder, until stopping just outside the treeline.

Skythix was trying not to shift too much on her feet but she was getting antsy. Her weapons were becoming painfully heavy on her as she tried her hardest not to make the first move. "Yeah, I'm not the best mech. I can drive them fine but don't ask me to fix them." Her eyes went back and forth trying to locate the sound until it stopped. At that point she turned around fully to examine

the sound that suddenly stopped. "What in the spirits name is that sound?"

Pip | Looming over the turian, Watty stands, a crisscross of shadows from the trees casting a rather imposing image. The YMIR lifts its left hand and gives a small, if clunky, wave at Sky, tilting its head slightly. "Greetings," he says in a cheerful British accent.

Hey, Watts.

Skythix inhales sharply and quickly grabs for her mantis rifle, immediately charging up biotic energy around her. "W-what the--... Did it just talk?" She quickly looked over her shoulder at the human with a shocked look. "Did you just call it something?" What the fuck was happening? She raised the rifle at the robot, waiting for it to fire.

Ooooh, a biotic Turian. Don't see many of them around.

Pip | Watty glances at the Turian curiously, raising its other hand in a gesture of surrender. "I apologise for causing alarm."

Skythix | "Causing alarm?!" she repeated angrily. "A fucking YMIR mech walks out of the woods and I'm not dead is the biggest surprise so far." She growled through her teeth. "Yeah, a biotic turian and you don't see many of these mechs around that are... what? Supposed to be friendly?" Why was the robot mimicking a surrender pose? What the hell was going on...

Pip rolls her eyes. "Relax, he isn't equipped with any weapons," she says. Watty lowers his hands and walks past the turian, back towards the truck. "

Skythix kept the gun trained on the mech, side stepping as it walked past her. Her heart was pounding and pumping adrenaline. She thought she was going to have to fight for her life. Her eyes were still wide with excitement but not one that she was hoping for. "Relax?" She gave a nervous laugh. "I just let a fucking YMIR mech sneak up on me and what? It's your pet or something?" She still

held her gun up but not aimed at anything in particular when the robot disappeared into the truck.

Pip | Watty climbs back onto the flatbed, attaching himself to the surface of the truck easily enough. Pip frowns at the turian. "He's not a pet. He's my friend," she says hotly as she clambers onto the back, helping Watty pull a tarp over himself.

Skythix couldn't believe what she was hearing. "You can't be friends with a mech." She stated blandly as if talking to a child trying to hold onto an imaginary friend. "They're machines. They don't feel, they just do." She kept her gun up permanently now, not comfortable at all at what had just happened.

Pip pats the mech on the head as she pulls the tarp over, clicking it into place. "Some machines can," she says, jumping down off the flatbed, around the other side from Sky's line of sight. "Are you going to lower the gun?" She asks from the other side of the cabin.

Skythix took a few steps away from the truck when she lost sight of the woman. "That's idiotic." She muttered to herself. "I'm not sure yet." She said louder to the woman. "Not too sure I have a reason to yet." She didn't want to start a firefight but she didn't want to die either. She was just trying to figure out a way to get back to her hoverbike safely. "What are you doing out here

anyway?"

Pip | The sound of a zipper can be heard, belonging to a coat. "Testing," she says simply. Click.

Skythix was backing away more from the truck, using the fact that she no longer had line of sight of the woman to try and distance herself. "What are you doing?"

Pip walks around the corner, having zipped up her coat. There also happens to be a loaded gun in her hand and aimed at Sky. "Arming myself," she says, inclining her head to her pistol. "You didn't lower yours, so now I'm preparing to defend myself. I don't want a fight just because you're jittery over my friend who, by now, has deactivated."

Skythix instantly raised her weapon at the human when she aimed a pistol at her. "Put the gun down." She commanded out in a loud voice. She had no intention to shoot her but now that another gun was in the picture, she had no reason to lower her own defenses. "Don't do anything stupid." Any tone of a normal civilian was gone and had retreated to her military persona.

Pip looks at the turian. "You're the one who pointed your gun at a YMIR mech." She walks over to the driver's door and opens it, never taking her eyes or gun off the woman. "You're not in hierarchy space anymore. A loud voice means jack-shit." She climbs in, closes the door and starts the engine.

Skythix couldn't believe what she was hearing. She knew the Terminus was a lot looser with laws but this was just ridiculous. "No, just stupid pyjacks walking around with a battle mech claiming it's their friend." She yelled back at her with a growl. "I don't have to be anywhere in galaxy to know you're insane." She shouldered her rifle and biotically enhanced her run back to her bike to

get there as fast as she could.

Pip shakes her head and holsters her pistol, casually turning the truck around. "She's so green," she mumbles. She guns it back towards the city.

Skythix revved up her bike and booked it back to the city with any other direction that wasn't where the human was heading.
