#Miner'sRespite – August 30, 2015

Renala makes her way downstairs, hauling two travel bags with her awkwardly down the stairs, a backpack is on her back. Once she's down, she pushes the bags towards the side of the staircase, near the bar. She seems a bit tired.

Steve is dressed in a black t-shirt, jeans, and a pair of workboots. He makes his appearance shortly after Renala with a large duggle bag over one shoulder and a crate in his hands. He sidesteps down the stairs with the large crate, taking them one at a time until he reaches the bottom. With a grunt, he drops it to the floor near Renala's stuff and hurls his dufflebag on top of it. "You call a shuttle?" he asks, dusting his hands off.

Renala frowns. "Fuck, I knew I forgot something," she says, sounding quite tired. "Did you?"

Steve blinks a couple times. After a moment a smile crosses his face and his shoulders bounce up and down as he lets out a fit of laughter, "Fuck no! You're s'posed to be the organized one, ain't ya?" he asks between chuckles.

Renala sighs. "It's too early in the morning for that," she says. "Anyway, what should I do with the mech? It's still in my room."

Steve glances up towards the stairs and gives a shrug. "I don't know. Program it to call a shuttle, apparently." he adds with a grin.

Renala chuckles. "Do you think I can leave it down here?" she asks. "And have the agency's pilot move it to the hangar."

Steve snaps his fingers and points at her. "Prolly not the best idea to leave it down here, but maybe just give Twitches permission to let him in. I'm workin' tonight, so I can point him out to her. Shoot a message his way and-..." he claps his hands together, "...all taken care of, right?"

Renala nods. "Works for me," she says. "I'm checked out in a few hours, so you shouldn't need my permission to do that." She enables her omni-tool and starts ordering a shuttle.

Steve gives a nod. "Fair 'nuff." he says before glancing back up the stairs. "Gotta make another trip for a few odds and ends." he says, "Be right back down." He makes his way back up the staircase to his room.

Renala disables her omni-tool after ordering the shuttle and makes her way over to the bar. She exchanges a few words with Va'ynna, including telling her about the mech which the other asari remembers not very fondly.

Steve reappears a few minutes later with another bag over his shoulder. He stacks it beside the first on top of his crate and gives Renala a nod. "That about covers it for me." he calls out and glances over the pair of bags and crate, "Crazy how little I've actually got when I look at it all like this..."

Renala walks towards her bags. "Mhm, though it's not a bad thing living here," she says. "I've ordered a shuttle, by the way."

Steve gives a couple nods, still looking over his things. "Yeah. Gonna make the apartment a bit sparse, though." he says, glancing back at the asari. "Gotta get some... curtains?" he says, sounding a bit uncertain, "That's a thing normal people do, right?"

Renala nods. "Yeah," she says. "And everything else that goes with a living room." She chuckles. Renala picks up her bags, using a biotic field to lower their mass, and starts towards the exit.

Steve watches Renala's theatrics and finds himself tempted to follow suit for a split second before shaking it off and lifting the crate from the floor with both bags atop it. He grunts and bends his knees momentarily before setting off behind her. "And food." he calls out as he shuffles towards the door, "We're gonna need food."

Renala continues towards the exit. "Of course," she says. "How long do you have before you're expected back here?"

Steve follows closely behind the asari. "I've got a few hours. My shift doesn't start until this evening."

Renala exits the Respite and puts the bags down on the pavement. "Same," she says. "I should take back some lost sleep before going to work tonight, though."

Steve sets his crate down beside the door once outside the Respite. He gives Renala a nod. "You seem pretty tired." he says, "When are they gonna put blondie back on that shift, anyway?"

Renala shakes her head. "i haven't heard anything," she says. "I suppose they'll have someone else take over when I go on that job off-world with you."

Steve gives another nod. "I suppose so. Nobody has even followed up with me about the job, anyway." he sighs, "Whatever, I'm not losin' any sleep over it."

Renala frowns. "I'm losing sleep over my job," she says. "Wolfe better not have us show up to leave in the morning."

A sky car come into view, descending while going towards their position.

Steve begins to ready his stuff as he spots the skycar, assuming it'll be their's. "What time do you usually get home at?" he asks with a grunt as he begins to hoist his things up once more.

Renala grips her bags and starts lifting them up. "Five in the morning," she says. "I was walking home when you needed my help the other day."

The shuttle stops on the road in front of them, and a turian pilot steps out. "T'Iavay?"

Steve winces a bit at the mention of the incident and steadies the crate, using his knee to lift it all the way. "Ah, shit... Sorry 'bout that. Must've been a pain in the ass to make that hike after workin' all night. I appreciate it, though. You know you can count on me." he offers with a nod. As the shuttle lands, he quiets down.

Renala nods and starts walking towards the car. "I had the next day off," she says.

The turian helps load the baggage into the car before taking the diver's seat.

Steve makes sure his crate is stored safely before climbing in, giving the turian a curteous nod in appreciation.

The shuttle door closes and the shuttle takes off. After a moment in the air, it starts flying towards their destination.
