#Miner'sRespite – March 6, 2016
Shyva'Nahl , the quarian clad in white and blue, appears to be standing on the bar on her tippy toes, dusting one of the overhead lights. She grunts and grumbles about really needing a ladder one of these days...
Pip walks in, clad in her oily jumpsuit and with her arm in a sling. Her red hair is tied up into a neat little bun. She sneaks up to the counter and peers up, watching Shyva for a silent moment. "Havin' fun?"
Shyva'Nahl practically jumps out of her suit, not hearing Pip sneak up behind her. She jumps, then wobbles as she tries to regain her balance. Finally, after much arm waving, she finds it and freezes for a few seconds, making sure she doesn't fall. She spins to the familliar voice and sees Pip. "Pip!" She gives a small wiggle of excitement before climbing off the bar.
Pip grins widely, rubbing the back of her neck. "Hey, babe," she says with an awkward look to the side. "Sorry I ain't been around a lot, I, uh." She looks down to the sling and shrugs. "Have been busy."
Shyva'Nahl barely lets Pip finish before wrapping her arms around her, making sure to be careful about her arm. "Its f-fine. Y-You came b-back afterall!" she says in a slightly giddy tone. "I've m-missed you! W-What happened to your arm?"
Pip hugs the quirky quarian back, chuckling lightly. "Uh, long story. And honestly, don't think I'm allowed to tell it," she admits."I've missed you too. How've you been?"
Shyva'Nahl finally lets go of the woman and offers her a seat. "I've b-been busy. Do y-you know how m-much dust and grime a b-bar can collect without a p-proper cleaner?" She takes her own seat, then gives a light sheepish chuckle. "T-Tried to stop s-sending as many messages to you b-but... Well. I bet y-you know how that turned out." She rubs the back of her helmet awkwardly.
Pip takes a seat and smiles, reaching over to take one of the quarian's hands in her own. "Hey, don' worry about it," she says. "So apart from being busy, everythin' else alright?"
Shyva'Nahl thinks for a brief moment, then nods. "S-so far so good. Not much trouble stirring up a-around here. Except for that one time a krogan clogged the toilets. I a-almost quit then and there..." she shakes her head free of the memory. "But other th-than that, all good! What h-have you been up to? How's Watty?"
Pip giggles. "I went on a mission with Redrock," she says with an overly dramatic shiver. "Ugh, never again. I've been repairin' Watty ever since I got out of hospital. He took a helluva beatin'".
Shyva'Nahl 's eyes grow wide for a few moments, then she forces herself to chill. Pip was still here, right? It can't have gone too bad! "S-So sticking to the mechanics shop th-then?" she asks. "Still too busy for personal visits?"
Pip sighs and nods reluctantly. "Yeah, 'fraid so. I'm behind and that place ain't cheap to run." She smiles. "But I promise we'll catch up soon, eh?"
Shyva'Nahl nods and gives her hand a squeeze. "S-Sure thing, I've s-still got plenty of things t-to do here to keep me busy." She leans in a little. "But a message here and there w-wouldn't be unwelcome, y'know."
Pip looks down and shrugs lightly. "Sorry. I'll try a little harder," she mumbles. "I ain't very good at the whole attentive girlfriend thing."
Shyva'Nahl grabs her other hand and gives them both a squeeze. "D-Don't worry about it, P-Pip. Y-You're busy, I u-understand. I am v-very patient when it c-comes to this s-sort of thing, and I t-think you're w-worth it."
Pip blushes slightly and smiles brightly. "Aw, you're sweet, Shyva," she giggles. "I'll try harder, 'kay?" She squeezes the hands back.
Shyva'Nahl nods and wraps her up in a hug. "T-That would be n-nice." she says with a light giggle. "So, w-what brings y-you to my neck of the w-woods? J-Just here for a visit?" she asks, breaking the hug. "I c-can flag s-someone down if you want a drink."
Pip shakes her head after returning the hug. "Just a quick visit. I gotta get back. Got a bike that needs fixin'." She sighs.
Shyva'Nahl tuts a little. "You're g-going to work yourself to the bone." she says. "But it pays the bills, right? Must be tougher with an arm out of commission, or do you have some sort of rig to h-help with that?"
As I said, ownin' a shop is expensive. But I, uh, bought an assistant mech not long ago. She helps where she can.
Shyva'Nahl sits back a little and raises an eyebrow. "'She', eh?" she asks, crossing her arms. She's kidding, knowing pip wouldn't do that to her, but she still wants to mess with her.
Pip pouts. "Not like that," she says with a huff and a smile. "Some guy needed to get rid of her, so I got her cheap. It was a helluva deal!"
Shyva'Nahl giggles and snorts. "I know, you're n-not THAT b-big of a technophile. I hope." she says, stiffling another giggle. "I'd l-love to c-check it out. M-Maybe w-when Watty's repairs are done? I'd l-love to g-give him a new coat of polish a-and a paintjob."
Pip furrows her brow, but smiles and nods. "Sure! He could do with it," she says with a nod. She leans over and plants a kiss on the quarian's visor and giggles. "I gotta go back now. See you around, yeah?"
Shyva'Nahl gets all a flutter at the kiss and wiggles a little in her seat. "D-Don't be a stranger!" she says a she wraps her up in a hug. "Lemme know w-when I can stop by if I c-can. I'd love to see the shop."
Pip hugs her back, albeit awkwardly with her arm in a sling, then breaks it off and starts to walk out, waving at the quarian. "Sure thing! See ya!" And with that, she's gone.
Shyva'Nahl certainly enjoys watching her walk away, then sighs after the door closes. She leans on the bar, scratching at it with a gloved finger. "Now /I/ need a d-drink." she mumbles.
