Jason arrives at the Respite by way of shuttle, Tarkus in tow. He instructs Jasper to go back to the Agency as he and the turian disembark from the vehicle. "Great place. You'll love it." he says as he pushes through the front door. He gives a quick nod to an open booth, "Take a seat. I'll get us some drinks, alright?"

Tarkus walks into the Respite along side Jason. He looks around the establishment "Looks alright and sure." He goes to take a seat in the booth Jason gives a nod to.

Jason continues on towards the counter. A few minutes pass before he returns with a drink in each synthetic hand. He sets one on the table and slides it over to Tarkus and sets the other opposite of the turian, sliding into the seat across from him. "Can't say I expected to run into you out here." he says as he gets settled, "So? You gonna tell me how a band of pirates managed to

capture you?"

Tarkus gives a cough "Well, protecting some trader's cargo ship. They boarded and did not go well for us. One of them recognise my family name and so on and so forth." He looks at his drink and then at Jason "You did make sure my drink was dextro right?"

Jason furrows his brow, leaning forward to take a better look at Tarkus' drink. "Uhh..... suuuuure." he says. After a moment a smirk appears, "Of course, you jackass." he assures the turian. "So you were doing some protection work? Does that mean you're working with an agency? Or was it just freelance?"

Tarkus gives a smirk at Jason and then takes a sip of the drink "Never be to sure with a jackass like you." He joked back. He put the glass back down and gave a shrug at the human "Basic freelance, you know me Wolfe. I mainly freelance." He takes another small sip of his drink "Now what is up with your new crew?"

Jason gives a short shrug, taking a sip of his own drink in turn. "Not entirely new. Vasquez, Ilyna and Tessa work with me as well. Not sure how well you knew them." he muses aloud, "What we've put together is nice. I'm proud of it. Our own agency in our own little corner of the galaxy. It's nothing flashy, and we certainly won't be competing with the big crews for contracts, but

we're happy with what we have, you know?"

Tarkus nods at Jason "Sounds like you got yourself setup pretty well. So I take it your business is doing well, if you got a ship under your control now?"

Jason gives a humble little shrug as he rotates his glass in place. "We're not sinking. That's all that matters. Bills are paid, fridge isn't empty, employees are taken care of." he says, "What about you? Last we talked you seemed pretty swept up with-..." he pauses, wincing as he struggles to recall the woman's name, "Uhh... What was her name? Seemed pretty serious."

Tarkus gives a shrug "Same news on that front. You can't remember her name, I think I will seat here and wait until you remember. Better that way." He said with a jerk bag smirk on his face, or at least the turian version of it. "You looking at hiring anyone else?"

Jason blinks a few times, frowning as he tries to remember her name. Finally he just sighs and shrugs his shoulders. "Always looking to hire on new employees." he says, "Matter of fact, we've got a pretty big contract coming up. Two week expedition..." He trails off, letting it dangle in front of the turian and waiting to see if he bites. Jason brings his glass to his lips and takes

a sip.

"Well been looking for work, credits have been running a little dry lately." He pauses for a moment "That was also before I got my ass captured."

Jason gives a lopsided grin and taps his fingertips against the top of the table as he listens. "I might be able to help you out with that, Tarkus. If you want it, there's definitely a spot for you on this expedition. Pay is good. Only problem is we'll be gone for two weeks and once we set off, there's no turning back."

Tarkus gives a nod "All good, Jason. I can give you and your guys a helping hand with this." He tells Jason with confidence.

Jason nods in turn. "We'll be holding a briefing soon. I'll send the details your way." He looks down at his drink, poking at the glass with a cybernetic finger idly, "You know it doesn't have to end there? It's hard to find trustworthy people in our line of work. Never hurts to have a few more friends to surround yourself with. Redrock could use someone like you. Regardless, whether

this is a one-time deal or not, know you've got friends here on Aite, alright?"

Tarkus nods "That is good to hear, I was beginning to think you were dead." He remains silent for a moment "Lets see how well this goes, before I make any life changing choices."

Jason bows his head, raising his glass slightly in a mock toast. "Fair enough." he says as he leans in to take a sip. "So?" he asks as he sets the glass back down, "Bring me up to date. What's been going on with you since Illium?"

Tarkus gives another shrug "Nothing to exciting my old friend. Doing a few odd jobs here and there, plus living with my mate."

Jason snorts and gives a shake of his head. "Wish I could say the same. Been a rollercoaster for me ever since Illium. Had my ups and downs. Tried the normal life, lost an arm or two-..." he glances at his synthetic arms, lifting them slightly in front of him, "...Got engaged." He pauses, his smile widening as he alludes to his engagement with Vasquez, "Been quite a ride. Not always

a good one, either. But I'm happy with where I am."

Tarkus looks at the human with a cocked head "You got engaged? Well good for you, my friend."

"Oh, there was that time I got kidnapped and got a mandible cut off." He points to his right side mandible "But got that fixed up."

Jason raises an eyebrow at his quick little story, letting out a quick chuckle as he gives a shake of his head. After a moment he nods. "Yep, got engaged." he repeats the turian's words, "Life is too short, right? Even moreso given what we do. I mean, it didn't exactly hit me like a bolt of lightning out of the blue or anything. I've known for a long time that this is the woman I want

to spend the rest of my life with. But so much has happened-.... Things go wrong, you know?" he glances up at Tarkus, nodding a few times before dropping his gaze back to the table. "Just felt like this was important. Something I needed to do before it's too late. I know marriage doesn't really mean much. She knows how I feel about her, I know how she feels about me, why do we need to

'make it official', right? But, shit... Just... Just feels important." he repeats with a nod, "Does that sound stupid?"

Tarkus nodded at the human "Well to be fair, most of your words do sound stupid." He says in a joking manner, he then gave a smile at the man "But for once, your words kind of make sense." He raises his glass at Jason and gives him a nod. He downs his drink and places the glass on the table.

Jason raises his own in turn, but his other hand climbs into the sky beside it, giving Tarkus the finger for his little jab, grin still present on his face. He follows suit, slugging back the remainder of his drink. "Good to have you back, Tarkus."

"Good to be back from friend." He nods his head a few times and then looks at Jason "You don't happened to have a place for me to stay. No credits and no idea where to go, does that to a man."

Jason gives another chuckle and leans back in his seat. "We've got plenty of room at the Agency if you don't mind sleeping on a couch. Otherwise, this place rents rooms. I know the owners so I could probably get a deal. I don't mind paying for a few nights stay. Up to you, doesn't matter to me either way."

"I'll stay at your agency. Less hassle for the both of us." He states having little objection to the first idea.

Jason gives a shrug. "Works for me. Not the comfiest of couches, though. And we get a bit of foot traffic, people coming in and out during their shifts and such. As long as that won't bother you, the couch is yours."

"That is all good for me, Jason. I am a turian, so I am use to most of those little things." He tells the human.
