The trip was long and uncomfortable, Leah having secured passage from Omega to Aite by way of a cargo ship selling wares. Leah and Tara were allowed to spend the duration of the trip in the cargo hold, among crates and a pack of caged varren being transported to Aite. Not the most luxurious of trips by any stretch, but they've finally arrived. (Jason_Wolfe)

Leah groans loudly as she stomps through the spaceport, rubbing at her stiff neck. "Well that was a load of crap." she sighs, "I paid good credits and we had to sleep next to a bunch of smelly varren! Can you believe that!?" she complains, although her troubles are quickly forgotten as Freedom Falls comes into view just beyond the spaceport windows, replaced by a bright smile. "Ah well..." she says, casting a (Jason_Wolfe)

glance towards Tara, "...We're home~" (Jason_Wolfe)

Tara has uttered no complaints whatsoever over their travelling conditions, nor has spoken at all for that matter, merely waiting inactively for the trip to be over. She follows after Leah as they make their way through the spaceport, although as the town comes into view she stops briefly, looking out curiously at the buildings outside before continuing to follow. (Vasquez)

Leah stops beside Tara, looking her over with a wide smile. "Whaddya think? Hmmm?" she asks, lifting a hand and pointing north arbitrarily, "Plenty of places to shop! Me and my dad always get these burgers from-..." she scrunches up her nose mid-sentence, interrupting herself, "...they're sooo greasey. It's gross. Like, really gross. But they're delicious! You're gonna love them! And-..." she points off to the (Jason_Wolfe)

west, "...that's where we'll be staying!" she says, pointing at a random locker against the western wall, although obviously she means well beyond it, "But fiiiiirst you and I have a long walk ahead. You okay with walking?" She frowns, not bothering to wait for an answer, "...Figure I should let the Chief know I'm back in town. Considering everything that's happened, it would probably be a shitstorm if she (Jason_Wolfe)

just saw me walking around one day." she sighs. (Jason_Wolfe)

Tara turns her entire body north, then west, and then back towards Leah as she follows her pointing, letting her ramble to her as usual. She blinks, and then nods slightly at the final comments, not sure what this means, but prepared quite clearly prepared to follow Leah regardless of destination. (Vasquez)

Leah clasps her hands together, balancing on the outer soles of her boots as Tara looks about. "Awesome!" she says as the woman nods. Her only possessions are a pair of travel bags, one over her shoulder and one she had passed off to Tara to help carry, and a crate on wheels. "Soooooo~ when was the last time you were off Omega?" she asks as she grips the handle of her wheeled crate and sets off through the door, (Jason_Wolfe)

dragging it behind her. Already seeming to forget the horrible conditions of their trip now that she's finally back home once again, she glances about, just happy to be off of that awful station. (Jason_Wolfe)

Tara follows after Leah as they exit the spaceport, remaining silent at first, her gaze wandering from building to building. "...just arrived..." she says quietly at last, feeling obliged to answer the question. Her curious looks around at town has caused her to fall behind, and before she has time to catch up she's interrupted by a quarian that's passing in a rush and bumps into her. The masked alien starts apologizing profusely (Vasquez)

while Tara looks on in startled confusion. (Vasquez)

Leah turns back as Tara starts to fall behind. As she notices the quarian, she scrunches up her nose. "You alright?" she calls back, approaching the pair with her crate in tow. (Jason_Wolfe)

Quarian apologizes again as another passes by behind Tara. After that one has passed the one that ran into Tara switches gears. "Maybe you would like to buy an omni-tool?" she asks, unfolding one of the cloth wraps of her suit and revealing a set of omni-tools of varying conditions and make. "An omni-tool is a must-have for anyone spending time out here in the Terminus, yes? I have many models, all for a good price! Perhaps some (Vasquez)

fabricator schematics?" (Vasquez)

Leah shakes her head as she approaches, giving the quarian a polite smile. "No. Thank you, but we're fine." she says, placing a hand on Tara's shoulder and urging her to continue walking. "Let's get going." she says to the woman, keeping a friendly smile on her face. (Jason_Wolfe)

Tara looks between Leah and the quarian, still seeming a bit confused, but she starts to move when urged to. (Vasquez)

Quarian takes a couple of steps alongside Leah and Tara. "Ah, are you sure? I have plenty of useful schematics, and even some tools with defensive programming. No one should travel unprotected in dangerous times like these, hm?" (Vasquez)

Leah continues to wave the quarian off. "No thanks." she says again, slight frustration creeping into her voice. "We're far from 'unprotected'." she adds pointedly. (Jason_Wolfe)

Quarian 's glowing eyes can be seen blinking, and she stops following them, turning back to her companion. (Vasquez)

Leah glances back over her shoulder once before continuing on her way. "Gotta be careful..." she instructs in a hushed tone once they're some distance from the quarian. "Someone bumps into you like that? With the whole-.... you know-... two-person thing going on? They're usually trying to take something." she informs, her advice having nothing to do with the fact that the street vendor was a quarian, just general (Jason_Wolfe)

knowledge. She gives a nod, her smile returning, "Unfortunately for them? We've got nothing worth stealing." she adds with a chuckle. She hooks her free arm through Tara's and continues onward, "Come on!" (Jason_Wolfe)

Tara nods in response to Leah's advice, clearly paying complete attention to her as they walk onward on the sidewalk. She furrows her eyebrows at the final comments, but says nothing. (Vasquez)

Leah continues towards their destination, taking the long way through town to show Tara the sights. She points out a few places as they pass by, giving a rundown of her experiences at each one. "...And that is Club Cobalt!" she says, pointing at the large building. "Do you like dancing? We should go dancing!" she exclaims excitedly, "They serve drinks, too-..." she adds, reaching up to wipe some hair from her face, (Jason_Wolfe)

"...but they're expensive. Good music, though!" (Jason_Wolfe)

Tara frowns, looking a bit uneasy. She shakes her head at the mention of dancing, but says nothing as she looks towards the holographic sign above the entrance to the building. (Vasquez)

Leah frowns, but merely shrugs as she continues forward. "No big deal. Dancing isn't for everyone. Should see my dad try to dance." she says with a shake of her head, "Looks ridiculous! Like a krogan with an itch, just bouncing all over trying to scratch it or something." She chuckles briefly before her attention is pulled ahead and she thrusts a finger forward. "And thaaaaaaaaat-..." she instructs as Miner's (Jason_Wolfe)

Respite comes into view, "-...is the Respite. Good food. Nice place to sit around and have a drink with a friend." She sighs, recalling her time spent there with Damien, her smile turning sad for a brief moment before she shrugs her shoulders, "Once we get settled in, maybe we'll head over there for a bite." (Jason_Wolfe)

Tara studies Leah, the brief moment of sadness not escaping her notice. Of course, she says nothing, and continues alongside her. She nods at the suggestion that they could eat there. (Vasquez)

Leah remains quiet for a short bit, navigating her way through the familiar streets towards Redrock Agency. "So.... Where are you from?" she finally asks. "Is it anything like this?" (Jason_Wolfe)

Tara seems confused by the question at first. At the followup she shakes her head. Without saying anything she points to her forehead where the mark of House Bar'adon is tattooed. (Vasquez)

Leah frowns at the gesture. "...Your whole life....?" she asks, the sadness clear in her voice. (Jason_Wolfe)

Tara doesn't quite seem to understand Leah's reaction, tilting her head a bit as they continue to walk. She shakes her head. "Not the first." she says quietly. (Vasquez)

Leah gains a confused look, glancing over at Tara for a moment before asking, "Not the first...? I don't understand." (Jason_Wolfe)

Tara sighs. "Not the first owner. House Tharazon before." she clarifies, barely audible. (Vasquez)

Leah's frown only deepens. "How many-... owners have you had...?" she asks, nearly spitting the word out in frustration that it's even a thing she needs to say. (Jason_Wolfe)

Tara shrugs, having long-since accepted her status. She shoots Leah an uneasy look, seemingly uncomfortable that she's getting upset. (Vasquez)

Leah sighs as they continue along. "Well, you can put all of that behind you now. No more owners. Ever!" she says. (Jason_Wolfe)

Tara offers no response - she rarely has when Leah brings this up. She walks on in silence next to her, shivering slightly from the cold. (Vasquez)

Leah stops in place as she notices Tara's shivering. "Oh, crapper!" she says, gesturing towards the travel bag. "I'm in idiot-... why didn't you say something!?" she continues, frustrated at herself for not noticing it sooner, "There's another jacket in one of these bags you can wear!" She drops her own travel bag to the ground and crouches beside it. She unzips it and begins poking through the bag. "Just-... one (Jason_Wolfe)

second." (Jason_Wolfe)
