Redrock Agency isn't too difficult to find, located on the western outskirts of Freedom Falls, beyond a few abandoned buildings. The Redrock building is a two story building with a large chainlink perimeter fence around it and a single entrance at the front. Just beyond the gate, an older man in a pair of dirty coveralls and an even dirtier cap is clearing some snow that has accumulated along the path up to the door. He seems to be in a

hurry, probably in part due to the fact that he's clearly not dressed for the weather. Further west, the mountain range is in clear view through the snowfall. It might not be the most populated part of Freedom Falls, but nobody could deny it had a great view.

Lantea quietly walks up the path with a quiet groan following, she had a long coat that covered her up from head to the bottom of her knees. Once she arrives she nods at the random old man who is cleaning the snow. Once she walks inside, she opens up her coat and looks around. Soon she looks for a receptionist or something. Assuming there is one, she approaches them and asks for

directions. (Fostur.)

Jasper returns the turian's nod. "Cold as an elephant's trunk on Christmas mornin' out here!" the older man says in passing. "Best ya get on inside and outta this cold." he recommends as he continues on with his duties.

Just beyond the doors, the reception area is completely devoid of any life. There's a few chairs and a single desk. Directly across from the door Lantea entered from is a hallway. As soon as the turian enters, a hologram materializes beside the desk. A grizzled man wearing worn and battle-damaged plate mail appears, a sword sheathed at his hip. "Lady Lennos, I presume? I am Fergus." he greets, "Ser Wolfe is awaiting your arrival, milady.

Right this way." He gives a brief gesture down the hall behind him, "Second door on your left."

Lantea nodded quietly and slightly looks confused by the armor he is wearing... and the weapons on the man! But the directions were appreciated, and thus she walked off behind the hologram and opened the second door on the left after knocking. "Hello? Is there anyone here?" She looked a little cold if anything, not tired, not annoyed, just cold. (Fostur)

The door slides open, revealing a small office. Directly in front of Lantea is a desk. Behind it is a light-skinned human male poking at the terminal on his desk. There's a single photo on the desk, though it wouldn't be visible to Lantea from her position. Behind the man, a photo of him beside a salarian hangs on the wall. To Lantea's right, a Revenant is mounted on the wall. It looks to be well taken care of, not a sign of wear anywhere

to be found. Below it is a display case with a blue hardsuit with white stripes locked within.

Jason offers a friendly smile as he gives his terminal keyboard one last poke and rises from his seat. "Lennos, right?" he says. "Lennis.... Lennes.... However you say it. I'm shit with names. You'll have to forgive me." He has short dark hair, blue eyes, and a frame that implies he's in pretty solid shape. He's dressed in a white t-shirt and a pair of black cargo pants, but as he brings his hand up to run it across the stubble on

his chin, his most eye-catching features come into view. His arms have been replaced with sleek, grey, high-grade cybernetic prosthetics. He reaches across, extending a hand to shake. "Jason Wolfe."

Lantea looks at the hand for a moment before it clicks. "Oh, yes." She offers her hand and gives his a firm squeeze. The Turian herself seems to have a bit of a strange look to her, red markings over the face and golden rings were adorning her mandibles. "Lennos, or Lantea, whatever works." She said with a hasty nod while she looked the man over. By Turian standards? Lantea was fit,

really fit. By Human standards? Who knows!

(Fostur)

Jason's smile briefly falls away as Lantea's gaze fixated on his hand, however briefly, fails to go unnoticed. It would be a long while before he got used to the stares, but it was a natural reaction, so he certainly couldn't hold it against her. He props his smile back up and gestures to the chair opposite of him. "Alright, then. Have a seat, Lantea." he encourages as he retakes his own seat. "I took a look at your application.

Looks good from what I can tell, but we can get to all of that in a few. To start with.... How about you tell me what brought you all the way out here to Aite?" he asks. "It's not exactly along the way to-... well, anywhere. Paperwork said you are-..." he gives a brief glance to his terminal where he, presumably, has her information pulled up, "...currently living in a shuttle, so I'm guessing that means you haven't been

here too long...?"

Lantea nodded slightly. "Sorry about the handshake thing, we tend to uh... use different greetings." She said, thinking his smile faded due to her not taking the hand so soon. She slowly sets her coat down and nods. "Stopped here to refill my stocks, then I heard about the corporation. I need work, might as well try to get some, hmm?" She said with a brief nod.

Lantea (Fostur)

Jason gives a shake of his head in response to her mention of the handshake, assuming it's her poite way of not drawing attention to his 'condition'. "Not a problem." he says. As she finishes her explanation for why she's here, he gives a quick shrug. "As good of a reason as any, I guess. You picked a pretty shit time to show up, though. Fucking cold out there." he continues with a snicker, "So, I'm going to assume you've done

your research on us and what we do before filling out your application, but just a quick crash course to be safe: Redrock is a freelance agency that takes a wide range of contracts. We mostly rely on local security contracts here in Freedom Falls for the day-to-day workload, but every now and then we get the odd one-off gig that can vary pretty heavily in regards to what's expected of us. So we expect our employees to be

able to open up their schedules on a pretty short notice. You've gotta be comfortable with taking orders, working with a team, and accept the possibility that you might find yourself in danger at some point. Now, I saw in your application that you have a military background, so I'm going to guess that won't be much of an issue. How about you tell me a little more about that? How much time were you in the military? Why'd you

leave? Shit like that."

Lantea nodded quietly before she straightened her posture and stood at attention before she began to speak once more. "Yes sir. Twenty-years, out of which I spent ten on the academy, and the remaining years in the second engineering division of the Taetrus corps. My leave was due to events... leaving a certain effect on me. Seeing my home on fire... if you know anything about the civil

war and the terrorist acts, then you know what I saw. Is there anything specific you'd like to know?" She asked.

Jason folds his hands atop his desk as he listens, allowing a faint frown show through as she begins to delve into things a bit more personal than he had expected. "I-.... Shit. I'm sorry." he offers with a sympathetic tilt of his head. "I know how-..." he begins, though he quickly falls silent and simply sighs. "That's-... you don't need to go into any detail." he assures her, "..I get it." His gaze moves back to his terminal for

a second and he clears his throat. "So... Engineer and a pilot?" he continues, quickly changing subjects. "We've already got ourselves a pretty good engineer who doubles as a pilot. He's got a handle on everything around here, but he has minimal combat experience. We've got an experienced pilot on our roster, too, but she's kind of spearheading a-... side project for us. I definitely see a bit of overlap that you could

provide. Especially if you feel comfortable in a firefight. I'd trust Jasper- our engineer- to tear down just about any vehicle you could put in front of him and put it back together with his bare hands. But you put a gun in his hand and he's just as likely to accidentally shoot himself as he is to shoot the enemy." he jokes, a lopsided grin crossing his face. "Obviously I'm gonna need you to send over any paperwork you can

verifying your military background and I'll need to go over it all with a few people, but I think we could definitely find use for you, Lantea."

Lantea Clicked her mandibles. "When I said you may ask about specifics, I meant everything in general. Anyway, yes, you may have my service record, as I already mentioned in the application, as for firefights? I favor heavier armor. I tend to be a little... uh... I tend to soak up damage, that's especially augmented by the tech armor I usually use." She said with a quick nod before she

relaxed and placed her hands behind her back, standing at ease. "Glad to know I can be of use once more." She said with what... seems to be a 'smile'? The Turian version of it anyway.

Jason gives another quick nod, his grin growing. "Alright... Your application said you're unable to provide your own suit of armor, right? If we were to hire you and provide one, it would be under the stipulation that the armor remains here in your locker until it was paid for. We could take a percentage out of your pay for a while-..." he shakes his head briefly, "...We could figure something out. But Redrock usually expects our

employees to manage their own gear. We help when we can and we offer a few general items in our armory, but for something as expensive as a full hardsuit, it would need to be paid for. That's not gonna be a problem, is it?"

Lantea shakes her head. "Definitely not, no." She said with a quick nod. "In fact, that's probably the only way I could afford a suit." She said quickly. "Well then, I guess that's the part where I sign the papers?" She asked while she brought her omni-tool up and started sending over the required papers and her service record. "Here... that should help a little."

Jason gives another chuckle. "Good to see someone so eager to get started." he says. "But, look-..." he continues, giving another shrug of his shoulders, "I'm just gonna be honest with you. This?" he gestures to himself then to the space between himself and the turian, "This interviewing shit? Not exactly my strong suit. I mostly lead the teams in the field. The paperwork and the talking and-..." he lists off as if the thought of

it bores him before shaking his head, "Not for me. Unfortunately, I was the only one available today, so you kinda got stuck with me. So let me run all of this by my fia-..." he quickly attempts to cover up his slip, "...my partner. I'll have her take a look at your service record. Make sure everything checks out. As soon as she gives the okay- assuming it all checks out- I'll send a message your way with all the details

of your employment, alright? In the meantime, feel free to toss any questions my way you might have. I probably won't have the answers but-..." he shrugs his shoulders, his grin widening, "...I can probably make something up."

Lantea chuckles. "Sounds familiar." She said before she nodded once more. "I don't believe I have questions, but if anything comes up, I'll be sure to ask your partner." She said before she looked out through the window. "Anything else before I depart? Anything I need to provide or pass or something?" She asked curiously before she peered back at Jason.

Jason's smile persists as he gives a shake of his head. "Nah. Your service record should provide most of what we need." he says, though something suddenly seems to occur to him and he furrows his brow. "I mean, I guess I should make sure you're not some kind of psychopath or anything." he decides, "You're not, right? Or pants-on-head crazy or some shit? I'm not going to look at that file you sent me and find out it really just

says the words 'Sugar loaf' over and over in different fonts, right?"

Lantea shakes her head. "It's actually just a scribble, don't even bother." She said with a small chuckle following. "Well, truth be told. As far as I am aware? My psychological profile says I'm fit for duty, I just chose not to continue." She said with a brief shrug. "So my answer is: I'm sane." She said with a small click of her mandible.

Jason snaps his fingers- though it's a dull thud that's produced by his cybernetic fingers rather than an actual 'snap'- and then points at Lantea. "Good enough for me." he says with a nod. "Well, if you don't have any questions, then I guess that means you're free to go. Expect to hear back from us in the next few days." he says, "Looking forward to working with you, Lantea."

Lantea nodded. "Likewise." She said before she turned to leave. "Spirits keep you, Human." She said before departing outside, once again facing the freezing cold... welp, she should've brought a scarf!

Jason furrows his brow at the expression. "Spirits back at ya..." he mutters as she leaves with a shrug. "That went well." he pats himself on the back once the potential recruit is gone. With a sigh, he lifts his boots atop his desk and prepares for a long day of watching videos of varren doing cute things on the extranet.
