#YanSun'sRoom – January 14, 2017

Yan Sun is sitting at the desk, typing on her laptop, which is once again hooked up to the AI bluebox she saved. The screen is filled with code. A series of additional projected windows are floating next to her, projected from her portable holo-emitter. Most of them have similar contents, except for a news aggregate site. She's wearing her hoodie, no doubt because the winter chill has managed to penetrate even the Respite to some

degree. On the desk is also an empty can of energy drink sporting a heavily stylized salarian as well as a credit chit and an empty plate. The room is filled with mellow techno running in the background as she works.

Jessica steps through the door once it slides open with a small bag in her hand. She's dressed as she was for her meeting with Vasquez a couple hours prior. As she spots Yan Sun in her techno-trance, she gives a roll of her eye. "Hey slut." she says as she shuts the door and begins taking off her jacket.

Yan Sun is quite focused on her work as Jessica enters, fingers dancing across the keys as her eyes dart back and forth. She furrows her eyebrows, stopping her typing. She probably just misheard... right? "What?" she says as she tears her gaze from the screen, moving an arm over the backrest and looking at Jessica over her shoulder.

Jessica struggles with the zipper of her jacket for a few moments before yanking it off. After slinging her jacket onto the bed, her gaze returns to Yan Sun. "What are you 'what'ing about? Mmm?" she asks, furrowing her brow. Then her attention moves to the empty plate. "Gah... I buy food!" she says, lifting the bag slightly and giving it a shake.

Yan Sun briefly furrows her eyebrows in confusion at the whatting of the what, but then shakes her head. She glances at the bag and gives a small shrug. "I didn't know when you'd be back! Actually, I don't even know where you've been!"

Jessica sighs and rolls her eye again. "You are always so nosey!" she complains, probably in a mood after her meeting with Vasquez and looking for someone to take it out on. "Nobody tell me I had to check in with you before I could go out. Sorry." she offers disingenuinely as she steps over to the desk and sets her bag on it. Spotting Yan Sun's energy drink, she grabs it and goes to take a sip. Her mood is only further agitated as

she realizes it's empty. "Gah..." she groans before tossing the can in the small garbage bin nearby.

Yan Sun raises an eyebrow, not particularly fazed by Jessica's moods at this point. "Uh... hello to you too." she says, grinning slightly. "I was just curious. I mean, it's your day off, right? I thought we were gonna spend some time together."

Jessica moves behind Yan Sun's chair, peering over-top of her head at the screen. "I had shit to do." she explains without doing any actual explaining. She places a hand on each of Yan Sun's shoulders and leans down, giving her ear a bite. A rather hard, annoying bite. "But we are spending time now, yes?" she asks.

Yan Sun starts turning back towards the laptop as Jessica's hands go on her shoulders, but hte bite causes her to wince and exclaim an "Ow!" while pressing a hand against her face, pushing it away. "Yeah, lucky me..." she mumbles, cupping a hand over her ear with a grimace.

Jessica snickers as she's shoved away by the face, but she doesn't let that keep her from being annoying. "Don't act like you don't like it, kitty cat." she teases as she leans over towards the other ear, biting down loudly just beside it. She gives a few more gnashes of her teeth as if threatening to bite the other ear.

Yan Sun puts a hand on Jessica's cheek, pushing her away from her ear while her eyes scan across the code on the screen. She mutters a quiet curse in cantonese, shaking her head even as a small smirk creeps up.

Jessica's hands move down from Yan Sun's shoulders and slide downward, across her chest as Jessica's chin comes to rest on Yan Sun's shoulder. Her left hand grabs at her right wrist and she briefly buries her face against the crook of Yan Sun's neck and presses a kiss against it. "Why you are still working on this dumb box, mmm?" she asks, "Is much better things you could be doing. Things that won't bring the geth to come kill us."

Yan Sun purrs quietly as arms wrap around her, and she leans her head back against Jessica's, her right hand reaching back and scratching the back of her shaved head. "Mmm... are you kidding? There's a centuries-old AI in that 'dumb box'... easily the most interesting thing I've ever worked on. I've been studying the code, I-.. it's amazing. Honestly, I don't understand half of it. It's so complex. I'm glad I

saved it."

Jessica closes her eyes as Yan Sun's hand moves back and forth across the back of her head. When she finishes speaking, her eyes open and her gaze moves towards the screen from her position perched against Yan Sun's shoulder. She gives a dismissive shrug as she studies the code, which may as well be an alien language to her. "Does not look so impressive to me..." she mumbles, "...Is just a bunch of nonsense."

Yan Sun snickers, well aware most people wouldn't share her enthusiasm. "This is like looking inside a brain... it's digital, yeah, but that's what it is, in the end. A brain." She withdraws her hand, going back to the keyboard. "Personality, capability, identity... memories. A lot of memories. Seems pretty interesting to me. Imagine what it could tell us..."

Jessica furrows her brow, suddenly seeming more interested, even if she won't admit it. "You can see what that thing... remembers...?" she asks curiously. She seems to realize something and looks back to Yan Sun, "Wait... you are not thinking of turning it back on?" she asks, "You do remember what happened last time, yes? Do not be stupid, kitty cat!"

Yan Sun begins to nod, but her answer is interrupted by Jessica's second question. She furrows her eyebrows. "Wh-... no! Not-... not yet, anyway. Maybe... some day. I'm not going to risk anything dangerous. That's why I'm looking through the code. To understand it better. To learn if it's safe. I've been trying to build safeguards."

Jessica continues to stare at Yan Sun for a few more moments through a frown that has formed. "Some day?" she asks. "This thing almost kill us, kitty cat. Do not forget that!" she warns. A deep sigh escapes her as she turns her attention back to the screen and contemplates how a bunch of strings of text could be so dangerous. "You are smart. But do not let it go to your head. The quarians thought they were smart, too, yes? Now they

have no home and sleep in our spaceport."

Yan Sun covers her mouth as an amused snort slips out at the unexpected warning, immediately causing her to feel bad. She closes her eyes for a moment and lets out a brief sigh. "That's terrible! And... I'm not going to do anything stupid. I couldn't anyway. I don't have anything close to the hardware needed to actually bring it online. So don't worry."

Jessica nods, seemingly pleased to hear that she's not capable of turning it on. She obviously doesn't have the same guilt at making fun of the quarian's horrible situation. "Good." she says, "Then you don't need to waste your time staring at these screens." She gives Yan Sun a squeeze as she leans in to press another kiss against her neck. "Is much more fun things you could be doing right now..." she continues, "...Annnd is my

day off. So you have to do what I say. Is the rules."

Yan Sun rolls her shoulders as Jessica kisses her neck, reaching out with her left hand and swiping across the screen. The open window disappears, a new window flickering into existence among those projected by the holo-emitter instead. "Mmm... I'm listening..."

Jessica's hands settle on Yan Sun's stomach and slowly begin to slide back up towards her chest. "We... are going to play a game." she teases, grin pressed against the crook of Yan Sun's neck. "Is to test your breathing." she explains. "Is much more fun than... brains and murder robots."

Yan Sun shifts slightly in her seat as Jessica's hands move up her torso, a faint grin forming as she listens. "Okaaay..." she says tenatively.

Jessica nods. "Mmm. Is good game." she says as her hands slowly slide across Yan Sun's chest. She presses another kiss against her neck as she gropes at Yan Sun through her hoodie. "I am going to sit on your face and then we will see how long before you have to come up for air." she adds crudely as she pulls back from Yan Sun's neck with an eyebrow wiggle to go with her usual lack of shame or tact that's on full display.

Yan Sun 's fingers stop moving across the keyboard, her hands balling up and a shiver running through her body as Jessica starts feeling her chest through her clothes. The sudden crude statement catches her a little off-guard, and awkward, brief laugh slips out. "Oh. I t-... that is a good game..." she muses quietly, her right hand moving to Jessica's lower arm, holding loosely onto it while typing with her left, trying to save

her work, although it takes a while to navigate in her distracted state.

Jessica seems intent on keeping Yan Sun distracted from her work as she leans back in and drags the tip of her tongue across the outer rim of Yan Sun's left ear. "Mmm. I thought you would like that..." she says softly, her left hand sliding further up Yan Sun's chest until it reaches her neck. She wraps her hand around Yan Sun's throat and presses her index finger against her chin to tilt her head backwards. She straightens her

posture so that she can lean over top of Yan Sun and press a kiss against her lips.

Yan Sun initially tries to look back down at the screen to finish saving, but quickly gives up, and during the upside-down kiss that follows her hand withdraws from the keyboard, reaching up for Jessica's neck in an attempt to keep her there a little longer despite the uncomfortable angle. "Mmhn..."

Jessica makes no attempt to protest being held in place. She presses into the kiss with her typical brand of aggression as her right hand moves back down to the bottom of Yan Sun's shirt and hoodie as she begins to tug them upward. Given Yan Sun's seated position, there's no way she can get it off, but she doesn't appear to be doing much thinking about the logistics of the situation at the moment. She winds up just tugging the front

of the clothing up, but that seems to be good enough for her as she slides her hand beneath Yan Sun's shirt and drags her palm back and forth across her midsection. "Enough work for now." she says, her words muffled due to her lips still being pressed against Yan Sun.

Yan Sun enthusiastically returns the kiss, her right hand briefly fumbling aroudn blindly until she manages to close the laptop, although this doesn't stop the music from continuing to play. She gasps slightly, not quite prepared for a cold hand sliding under her shirt, but it doesn't bother her for long. Jessica's comment elicits a quiet snicker, and she starts to turn in her seat, doing her best not to break the kiss as she

moves to sit sideways and then start to stand up.

Jessica keeps her left hand pressed against Yan Sun's throat as they continue to kiss through their awkward turn. Her right hand continues upwards beneath Yan Sun's clothing, the rough, scarred flesh on her palm moving to her side briefly. Once Yan Sun stands from her seat, both of Jessica's hands drop back to the bottom of Yan Sun's shirt as she begins to tug it off properly. She continues to press into the kiss for as long as

possible until she has to break away to get Yan Sun's shirt up over her head.

Yan Sun shrugs the hoodie off her shoulders, moving her hands away from Jessica as she lets it drop to the floor. She lifts her hand to allow her shirt to be removed, her hair falling out of place in the process. She immediately resumes the kiss, her slightly scrawny torso mostly bare now, aside from a simple blue bra. Her hands move to Jessica's waist as she presses against her, slipping in under her shirt and caressing the skin

of her back. She tries to move things in the direction of the bed, but without much luck since she's far too busy locking lips to actually figure out where that is.

Jessica gets the hint from Yan Sun nudging things away from the desk, and she begins to back up towards the bed. Her left hand slides around Yan Sun's bare midsection and begins to climb up her back until it reaches her bra. She breaks the kiss momentarily to playfully bite at Yan Sun's lower lip as her hand unclasps the bra. Her right hand falls briefly to Yan Sun's waist, but as they reach the bed, she breaks away from Yan Sun

entirely, falling backwards onto it. Her shoulders rise and fall as she catches her breath and a grin crosses her lips as she looks up at Yan Sun.
