#YanSun'sRoom – June 18, 2018

Hours pass without much incident, by Jessica's standards. Just a whole lot of dancing broken up by trips to the bar for even more drinking, the combination serving its purpose of dulling the emotional intensity brought on by the hellish week Jessica has suffered. The dark dance floor and the loud music drown out her troubles for now.

Jessica slows her movements enough to clasp her hands together at Yan Sun's lower back and pull her in close. She presses a brief, wet kiss against her blue lips with a loud 'MWAH' and, as she pulls back, it's pretty obvious that the smirk on her lips is genuine. Perhaps a bit drunken, but genuine all the same. "You fuck up all my plans!" she says playfully as she leans in, pressing her sweaty left temple against Yan Sun's so she's

close enough to her ear to be heard over the electronic music filling the room.

Yan Sun seems to have been enjoying herself as well, easily losing herself in the music and dancing. Initial embarrassment and hesitation has been all but wiped away after repeated visits to the bar and a number of glowy blue drinks. Her dancing, a bit less coordinated but no less engrossed than usual, shifts in intensity as Jessica pulls her in, hands coming to rest on her shoulders and a big grin spreading across her lips after

the kiss. "Mm... not sorry." she replies with an out-of-breath laugh, the fact that she doesn't really have the stamina for hours of oftentimes intense dancing obvious from her breathing as the two of them slow down a bit. She turns her head a bit, pressing a kiss against Jessica's temple with a giggle as her right hand drops to her waist, remaining close as she sways more lazily to the music for a moment.

Jessica snickers to herself and gives a playful roll of her eye when Yan Sun speaks. Lowering her head, she presses another kiss against the top of Yan Sun's shoulder as they sway in place. "Mmm. Because you are an asshole!" she adds before pulling back just enough to hold eye contact. The flashing lights of the dance floor take turns illuminating the two halves of her face. Brief flashes of rough, scarred flesh and a milky white

pupil transition to a soft brown eye and a sincere smile, almost poetic in how it shines light on the duality of who she is. A woman who, merely months ago, was ready to do whatever it took- even if what it took was her life- just to drive a blade into the throat of a single man. But underneath all of that ugliness is someone who just misses the people she loves with such passion that she can barely hold it together. She

shrugs, indifferent to her own assessment of Yan Sun. "So is a good thing that I like assholes, yes?" she asks with a wiggle of her eyebrow.

Yan Sun doesn't seem quite ready to pull back just yet when Jessica does, and she manages to get one more brush of her lips against sweaty skin in. It takes a little while for her gaze to focus on Jessica's face, but when it does her playful grin slowly fades into a soft, sincere smile. Her own appearance in the lights of the club is a very different story to Jessica's. Her left side is ever-illuminated, from within if not from

Yan Sun without, the cybernetics pulsing with life as they sync with the beat of the music. The contrast between the blue glow of her cybernetic eye and the mundane brown pupil of her right is almost as drastic as Jessica's, but it tells a very different story. Not a painful reminder forced on her. Something chosen purposely not just for its usefulness in her interests, but to stand out. An attempt at rebellion and non-conformity

Yan Sun in the face of a restrictive upbringing. Maybe it's vain, and hypocritical - few people have access to cutting edge cybernetics after all - but that doesn't change what it means for her. Jessica's comment cuts short any drunken reflection and wipes away the sincerity of the moment as Yan Sun furrows her eyebrows... and abruptly bursts into laughter, almost clinging onto Jessica as her dancing staggers to a halt for a

Yan Sun moment. "Shhhhut up!" she exclaims a little more loudly than intended.

Jessica begins to snicker but soon enough, without even realizing it, is joining Yan Sun in her drunken laughter. As Yan Sun clings to her, she braces herself to keep them both upright. Ironic considering the roles have been reversed for most of her life. It was always her brother who held her up. Kept her from falling. It didn't take long for her to spiral out of control into a free fall once he died. Kirill did his best to reach

Jessica out and catch her, but he didn't have quite the pull with her that Martin did and, before she knew it, she was tumbling right back into that abyss. Yet here she was, keeping Yan Sun from falling. Someone who knew her deepest fears and her darkest regrets. Someone she saved from that frozen wasteland of a planet. Someone she helped after a lifetime of inflicting so much hurt. Not that Jessica is any more likely to

Jessica acknowledge any of this to herself than she is to admit it to Yan Sun. Her fingertips climb higher up Yan Sun's back, the features of her big smile just barely remaining visible in the darkness of the club between the colorful bursts of light that dance across her face. "Who is going to make me? Mmm?" she teases before adding with a snort: "You?"

Yan Sun refocuses on Jessica as she's addressed, smile lingering as the laughter dies down, but she soon frowns at the implied challenge. She's quick to press right up against Jessica, discarding any pretense of dancing and seemingly forgetting where they are for a moment as she pulls her into an intense - and sloppy - kiss, one arm running up Jessica's back as the other rests on her neck. Her blue lips smell of alcohol and she's

Yan Sun sticky with sweat - another testament to an evening of enthusiastic dancing.

Jessica doesn't seem particularly caught off guard by the kiss, merely beaten to the punch. Not one to be bothered by an audience in her most sober of moments, the public display of affection does little to dissuade her from closing her eyes and diving right into the kiss. Her right hand slides lower, resting on Yan Sun's backside as her left hand digs under the bottom of the back of Yan Sun's shirt and presses her palm against her

Jessica lower back, hungry for whatever skin-on-skin contact she can manage as their tongues take over the dancing. At any rate, it does seem to have shut her up.

Yan Sun seems in no real hurry to break off the kiss, obviously emboldened in her inebriated state, and for a while her own right hand starts to wander, thumb hooking into the back of Jessica's worn jeans as her fingertips venture lower to grope through the rough fabric. The current song coming to an end causes her to pull back slightly, exhaling with a snicker and casting a brief look around them before meeting her gaze with a

Yan Sun slightly sheepish grin as she's reminded of where they are. A brief, embarrassed laugh slips out and for a few moments she doesn't say anything, shoulders dropping a little as she catches her breath. She seems to have given up entirely on the dancing.

Jessica seems to have already lost track of the music and the rest of the club as, when Yan Sun moves to pull away, it just causes Jessica to attempt to follow her to hold the kiss. Yan Sun's glance around causes her lips to miss their mark, ending up with her pressing a kiss against Yan Sun's cheek. She attempts to catch her own breath as their eyes meet. But, unlike Yan Sun, there's no embarrassment to be found in her expression.

Jessica Leaning back in, she presses her forehead against Yan Sun's, her brow still moist with sweat. "Is going to take more than that to shut me up, kitty cat." she teases through a mischievous grin, her voice low and raspy, barely audible over the ambient noise filling the club.

Yan Sun can't help snickering as she continues to catch her breath. She remains still for a while, meeting Jessica's gaze despite her face being little more than a blur this close, foreheads pressed together. The light of her cybernetic pupil would be almost blinding this close, so perhaps its a good thing their eyes are paired up the way they are. The short break seems to have made her realize she doesn't have much more dancing

Yan Sun in her, because as the next song starts up she lets out a tired, but happy sigh, her head pulling back a little as she nods off to the side with a raised eyebrow, perhaps suggesting they leave the dancefloor.

Jessica's shoulders rise and fall gently as she continues to catch her breath, giving a shallow, "Mmmm." as her only response when she releases her grip on Yan Sun. She gives nudges into Yan Sun with her shoulder as a silent 'get moving' as her left hand searches for Yan Sun's. The grin plastered across her face remains as she follows Yan Sun hand-in-hand.

Yan Sun gives Jessica's hand a squeeze as they step of the dancefloor, bumping her shoulder against Jessica more than a few times on the way. It's not the first time, but rather than head toward the bar she tries to nudge things towards the entrance. Unknown thoughts cross her mind as she casts a glance to Jessica, mirroring her grin for a moment and letting out a quiet chuckle that gets drowned in the music.

Jessica doesn't object to the change in direction. Instead she feigns a surprised look, eyebrow rising as she looks to Yan Sun while she's led back towards the entrance. "What is wrong, mmm?" she asks through her grin over the loud new song that has replaced the last, "You are too tired for more dancing?"

Yan Sun stops once they're past the first set of doors. There's a cluster of people on their way out, meaning they'll need to wait a little to get their jackets from the coat (and weapons) check. She looks almost offended at Jessica's question, although the fact that she leans back against the wall almost immediately after pulling Jessica to the side of the room suggests that there's more than a little truth to the idea that her

energy reserves are near enough spent. Seems spending most of your time holed up in a rented room hunched over a hologram and working on some project or other doesn't exactly build stamina. Of course, there's also a whole other motivation at play, and she definitely favors emphasizing that one. "...orrr I just wanna get away from the crowds." she suggests, a small grin of her own breaking out as she follows her own

blue-nailed finger as it travels idly up and down Jessica's left arm, tracing the wisps of smoke that curl around the grim skulls that adorn her skin.

Jessica brings her left hand to Yan Sun's hip, her gaze drawn down to her arm, following Yan Sun's finger as it draws across her skin. "Mmm." she agrees in a low hum as her attention turns towards the glowing cybernetics that decorate Yan Sun's body, the cluster of people around them already forgotten. "Is probably a good idea." she continues softly, leaning in close to Yan Sun's ear to be heard, her lips gently grazing across Yan

Sun's cheek. "They should probably not see all of the things I am going to do to you." she says, her breathless, raspy voice making the statement almost sound like a threat.

Yan Sun seems far from deterred by Jessica's quiet words - in fact she has a hard time preventing an almost giddy giggle from sounding a little too loudly, ending up biting down on her lower lip to muffle it. Any pretense has gotten lost somewhere amid the last few drinks and Jessica's weeklong absence, and there's a flush to her cheeks as she swallows and reaches down for Jessica's hand. She grips it tightly to pull her along as

she slips off towards the coat check to retrieve their outerwear.

Jessica leans back and returns to studying Yan Sun as she breaks into her giggling fit, prodding her own cheek with the tip of her tongue. Her gaze remains fixed on Yan Sun even once she's tugged along towards the coat check, as if a predator eyeing her prey. She only breaks sight once it's their turn to get their things from the coat check. She pays the attendant only as much attention as required to get her things back and then

hurriedly slips her jacket on over her tanktop, her eagerness to get out of the club showing through.

Yan Sun is quick to slip into her coat and leave the club... and she's immediately hit by a reminder that they're in the dead of Aite winter as an ice-cold gust of wind hits, prompting a shiver and a hasty zipping-up of her jacket. The sudden shift from crowded, warm dancefloor and alcohol-induced buzz to cold air against flushed cheeks and wind blowing in her hair seems to almost startle her. Of course, the only real

manifestation is a slightly shaky breath that turns to mist as it meets the winter air and hands that hide away in her pockets.

Jessica alternatively, reacts to the cold gust of wind by leaning her head back, closing her eyes, and drawing in a deep, icy breath. It causes her to partially block the exit, forcing an asari to have to navigate around her, side-eye at the ready. Fortunately, Jessica's mind is too focused on other things to notice it. The sweat on her just causes the wind to hit her twice as hard, but the effect is overridden by the alcohol

coursing through her body. She doesn't bother zipping her jacket as she steps up behind Yan Sun and sliders her hands into Yan Sun's pockets. Her breath is a warm- if temporary- counter to the cold Freedom Falls air as she presses a brief kiss against the side of Yan Sun's neck before nudging her onward with a warcry of: "Get moving, slut!"

Yan Sun smiles as Jessica's hands join her own in her pockets, squeezing them and leaning back against her for a moment in spite of their entrance-blocking position, but Jessica's words prompt her to start moving with a snickered "Shhh!". The holographic sign of Club Cobalt is casting a blue glow on the snowy street, which is largely abandoned at this hour aside from just around the club entrance. The muffled throb of the music

is still felt and heard out here, accompanying them as they leave the building behind.

Jessica snickers to herself at Yan Sun's reaction. "Mmm. Don't pretend like you do not love it." she continues to tease before pressing a few more kisses against Yan Sun's neck, each one more sloppy than the previous given the awkwardness of attempting to do so while keeping in step with her. Afterwards, she rests her chin against Yan Sun's shoulder, sluggishly following behind her down the block as the holographic glow falls

against their backs. That, combined with Litae, keeps the street from being pitch black.

Yan Sun is keeping a leisurely pace - between an icey street, alcohol and their awkward walking position leaves no real option, as eager as she is to get back to the Respite. Jessica's comment, and the kisses that follow, prompts a quiet snicker and a half-hearted mutter of "...shut up..." which acts as little more than an admission. As they continue down the street she intertwines her fingers with Jessica's where they remain

shielded from the cold in her pockets.

Jessica has a chuckle at Yan Sun's expense as she mutters. "Mmm. That is what I thought." she says smugly as her head rises a bit to press her cheek against Yan Sun's. Her scarred cheek. In the time they've been together, there's no doubt that Jessica has grown more comfortable with the idea that Yan Sun might not be as bothered by the burns as others are, but a subconscious part of her surely still takes it into consideration. It

comes through in small but noticeable ways. The hand Jessica uses to touch Yan Sun's face. Which cheek she chooses to kiss to better position herself with her unburned side towards Yan Sun. Things that are just built into her by this point. But whether it's the booze she put down throughout the past few hours, the overall good vibes of the day, or something else altogether, she finds herself barely even considering it right

now as she nuzzles up against Yan Sun. The flesh is rough. Not painfully so, but noticeable. She remains like this, in silence, as they meander down the cold, uninhabited street. Fingers intertwined in Yan Sun's pockets as puffs of warm breath permeate the chilled air.

Yan Sun 's cheek can be felt shifting as a smile, barely contained before, breaks free completely, the only clue as to whether she notices. She seems content to walk in silence, the muffled beat of the club replaced by the sound of their breaths, and the occasional vehicle or voice off in the distance. The slow walk through the cold, moonlit night inevitably starts to cool her thoughts, drunken eagerness taking a backseat for a

moment to simple appreciation of Jessica's presence, and, as they draw near to the Miner's Respite and Yan Sun stops, somewhat impaired, but also uninhibited contemplation. She turns to face Jessica on the street outside the Respite, hands briefly separating before she grabs them again, squeezing both together as she studies her with a hard to read, but undeniably happy, smile. She doesn't say anything, at least not just

yet, just looking with an almost goofily persistent smile, a slight sway to her.

Jessica eases back slightly as Yan Sun turns to face her. Her own grin grows as she sees Yan Sun's goofy smile through her drunken haze. "What you are looking at, mmm?" she asks, still obviously in a playful mood. She widens her stance as she steps forward, right up against Yan Sun. "Mmm?" she presses, leaning in to press a brief kiss against Yan Sun's blue lips once again.

Yan Sun snickers slightly, remaining largely immobile as she's kissed. "You're-...I-..." Something halfway between a hum and a muffled laugh as she trails off, blinking and studying Jessica again for a moment. "It's really-..." A brief hint of an almost embarrassed look accompanies another short pause as her gaze breaks away for a split second. "I'm just... really glad you're here... with me." she settles for as she returns to

silent study, still holding Jessica's hands. It's not hard to see the affection in her slightly unsteady gaze or her now more subdued, but still lingering smile, and she makes no attempt to hide it.

Jessica merely holds Yan Sun's gaze, her own grin growing into a full fledged smile. "Is that so?" she asks, cocking an eyebrow. "Good." she decides with a nod, releasing her grip on Yan Sun's hand with her left and moving her hand to Yan Sun's cheek. "Because-..." she begins, interrupting herself as she leans in to press another quick kiss against Yan Sun's lips before continuing without really pulling away, their lips just barely

touching as she speaks, "...I am thinking-..." she pauses yet again to sneak another kiss in, "...you are stuck with me now." She bites down on the tip of her own tongue as her single, brown eye scans across Yan Sun's face and the thumb of her left hand caresses her cheek.

Yan Sun 's smile grows again as Jessica speaks, gaze darting across her face between kisses. "I-... I think I'm okay with that..." she mumbles softly, squeezing Jessica's right hand and going in for another, slower but no less soft kiss. As she breaks away a hint of embarrassment makes itself known again, both in her laugh and in the way her cheeks flush not just from cold. Her gaze lingers on the icey ground for a moment as she

gestures over her shoulder with her free hand, pointing a thumb at the door to the Respite. "Let's get out of the cold, yeah...?" she suggests as her gaze returns to Jessica, smile growing once more.

Jessica returns to pinching her tongue between her teeth as she waits for Yan Sun to respond, her smile wavering slightly. Only the slightest of tells that Yan Sun's response actually matters to her. Yan Sun's words seem to fortify her smile, however, and she nods along with the suggestion, humming a soft, "Mmm." But, unable to simply let a tender moment be even in her drunken state, her smile twists right back into that cocky,

confident grin she so often wears. "Otherwise I am just going to rip off your clothes and do you right here in the snow, kitty cat." she says matter-of-factly with a shrug of her shoulders, "Is your choice."

Yan Sun 's words do little to abate her blushing, and she snorts slightly, but her efforts to feign annoyance are immediately betrayed by the refusal of that persistent smile to stay away. It morphs into something more like an eager grin as Jessica's shift in gears causes her own mind to follow suit, and instead she heads for the warmth of the Respite, pulling Jessica along by her right hand. She pays little to no attention to

her surroundings as they cross the bar.

Jessica stumbles forward as she's tugged into the Respite, a soft snicker escaping her. She doesn't even hazard a glance around while they pass through the bar, eyes affixed to Yan Sun. As they reach the stairs, she offers a little encouragement to quicken the pace by way of giving Yan Sun a firm slap on the ass before following her up to their door. "Open says me!" she misquotes drunkenly at the door to their room, releasing Yan

Sun's hand and pushing her towards the door with a nudge. She remains behind Yan Sun, pressing her body right up against the blue-lipped woman and reaching over Yan Sun's shoulders to rest her hands against the doorframe to brace herself as she waits for the door to be dealt with. She has better things to focus on at the moment, like running her tongue along the rim of Yan Sun's ear.

Yan Sun hurries up the stairs with a poorly suppressed laugh, staggering up to the door and reaching out to unlock it. She pauses for a moment as her hazy mind tries briefly to process Jessica's exclamation before dismissing it rather suddenly as she feels Jessica pressing up against her, and the tongue running along her ear. She hurriedly enters the keycode, casting a glance down the hallway as the door slides open.

Jessica briefly presses her forehead against the side of Yan Sun's head as she glances down the hallway. She pulls her right hand back from the doorframe and wraps it around Yan Sun's waist, unwilling to let her pull away just yet. That usual Jessica brand of aggression crossed with not particularly giving a shit about whether or not anyone might potentially see them takes center stage once more as her hand moves from Yan Sun's

waist and down the front of her jeans. Using the weight of her body, she urges Yan Sun through the open door.
