#MSVJackOfDiamonds – September 4, 2020

Lucy frowns as Jason speaks, gaze turning to the viewport again, thick material slightly warping the view of the hangar below at the bottom edge. "I know how long's it been..." she mutters under her breath as she listens, scowling a little at the ship's control panel. His line of questioning seems to send her mood plummeting, despite it's genuine nature - maybe more because of it. "Lecturin' then. That why you're here?" she

asks as she looks back to him, looking frustrated and tired. "I ain't got no plan yet. That what you wanna hear? I ain't got a goddamn clue what's next." she snaps angrily, an animated shrug accompanying the words. She almost immediately seems to regret the outburst, gaze falling away as she grimaces and slumps a little in her seat.

Jason lets a deep breath out through his nose, tilting his gaze away from Lucy as she snaps at him. He probably should've expected as much given the sensitive nature of the question. He gives a slow shake of his head as she winds down, blue eyes turning back to Lucy. "I'm not here to lecture you, Lucy..." he says simply, suddenly sounding a bit more tired than he had a few moments earlier. He certainly didn't come here to

fight with her. Nor did he come to ruin her Christmas. "As a matter of fact, I-... uhh-..." he shrugs sheepishly as his tone turns cautious, not particularly sure that she'll react any more positively to his real reasoning for being here, "...I'm here because I might be able to help with that."

Lucy 's eyebrows furrow, attention turning back to Jason, studying him apprehensively. She doesn't say anything, perhaps waiting for him to elaborate.
