#Miner'sRespite – February 6, 2014

Aylena is the current bartender, though it's usually been Va'ynna at this time of day. The Respite is not really busy, as yesterday's occurence may have harmed the reputation of the place momentarily.

Victoria walked down into the Respite from the stairs. She walks up to the bar and sees the asari behind the counter ''Rum and coke please.''

Aylena nods. "Coming right up," she says as she makes her off to the back to find the bottles.

Renala descends the stairs from the second floor, not too long after Victoria. She's dressed in a green top similar to the one she had yesterday, and nondescript dark-gray pants. She makes her way over to the bar and takes the seat beside Victoria with a small smile. "Hey," she says. "How's it going?"

Victoria is wearing her usual white tank top and long green pants. She turns to looked at Renala ''Oh hey Rena. I'm alright, how are you?'

Renala | "I'm doing fine," she says. "I just noticed payment coming in and thought I'd have a drink to celebrate." She looks towards the bartender. "Get me whatever she's having."

''Oh feel like having an human classic?'' She asked while giving a smile for a few seconds then went back to a plain face ''You seen the message about the 'life-threatening' situation?''

Aylena nods to the asari's order and returns with the two bottles needed for the drink. She pours two ice-filled glasses to a third with rum and the rest with coke before placing it on the counter before them. "Here you go," she says before taking a step back, glancing around the bar.

Victoria nodded at the bartender ''Thanks.'' As she took hers and had a sip.

Renala nods appreciatively to the bartender as she takes the glass, then looks at Victoria. "Yeah, and I was down here when it happened," she says. "It was kinda... fucked up, if you ask me. Even Rellis was involved, somehow."

Aylena heads over to serve another patron further down the bar.

Victoria looked at Renala ''Rellis...'' She thought for a second ''That salarian who hired us for that job?''

Renala nods. "Exactly," she says. "Started with some asari pulling a gun on one of the bartenders here." She picks up the glass and takes a tentative sip of the drink.

''Well that sounds like a stupid idea. Who pulls a gun out on someone in an open bar?'' She pulls a face that clearly shows that she believe it is one of the stupidest ideas ever. ''You wait till they walk outside.'' The last part was said with more of joking tone.

Renala | "That asari did," she says with a sigh. "I thought it was a robbery at first, but she claimed Rellis ordered a hit on the bartender." She places her glass down on the counter.

Victoria took a sip of her drink before talking ''Wait... asari? Do you mean the asari that captured my heart?!?!? Or was it some other one?'' The middle of her sentence had a bit of a dramatic tone add to it.

Renala can't help but laugh at that, patting Victoria on the back. "Sorry to dissapoint you, but no," she says. "Don't think your love for her was meant to be...."

Victoria sighs with defeat ''Guess I will just have to find another asari who embraces that side of me. One day I will find that asari.'' Her tone went back to her dramatic one.

Renala chuckles. "Goddess. Vik," she says. "You're really that crazy about her? I wanted to kick her head in everytime she opened her mouth, but that's probably just me." She takes a long sip of her drink. "Hmph. I like this drink."

''She knew my weakness. Good looking asari who played along with my behaviour.'' Another sigh of defeat. ''Yep one of the greatest drinks, we humans have ever made.'' She took a sip of hers.

Renala smirks. "There's plenty of asari maidens out here," she says. "Almost too many visits the Terminus almost just out of their mother's home... yours truly included." She takes another swig of the drink. "It's Rum and Coke, right?"

''Guess I will need to find myself a maiden to help with my problems then.'' Victoria then nodded at Renala ''Yeah Rum and Coke. Or the best drink ever, whatever name suits you.''

Renala | "Ah, thought so," she says. "So, what are you planning on wasting the credits on?" She may or may not have forgotten that Vicotria requested to have the payment in advance.

''I already spent most of it on my armor and visor, Rena.'' She takes a quick sip of her rum ''Or did you forget I got an advance on my pay.''

Renala smiles sheepishly. "Maybe I did...," she says. "I'm thinking of getting a better suit myself, since the one I have is kinda terrible. I got nailed twice while in the singularity."

''And if I did not pull you out of the intersection and gave you medi-gel, you still might have those holes in you.'' She joked.

Renala nods, and offers a slight smile. "Or had more of them," she says in the same tone. "Thanks again for that. I owe you one."

Victoria gave a devious smile ''Well since you own me one... Go find me a maiden!'' She proclaimed dramaticly and joking.

Renala shakes her head, laughing softly. "Don't think I know any maidens that'll replace your lost love," she says with a smirk.

''Oh the horror, I'll just drink my sorrow away then.'' As she gave a chuckle and downed the rest of her drink.

Renala follows suit, drinking the remainders of her glass. "Sounds like a plan... or someone could broaden their horizons a little," she jokes with a playful wink before looking for the bartender.

''Oh I guess I will have to. But if I another playful asari, that horizon will be narrowed like that.'' She said as she snapped her fingers.

Renala grins. "Just messing with you, sweetie," she says, giving her a pat o nthe back. "Don't see you as the type with sixty years to spare for a little one, anyway."

Aylena walks up to the two. "I thought I heard something about drowning sorrows," she says. "Can I get you anything?"

Victoria looked at the bartender ''Well another rum and coke for me, and possibly an asari maiden?'' She joked on the last part.

Renala raises an eyebrow, a chuckle escaping her. "A Rum and Coke for me too," she says.

Aylena raises her brows for a brief moment. "We don't stock that around here, I'm afraid," she says. "And what would you need two of them for, anyway?" She smirks as she heads over to and fetches the bottles, still within earshot of the two.

''Oh, I'm not with her... well we are not together in that way.'' She said, a bit stumbled for words at first. ''Plus only I wanted a maiden.''

Renala chuckles, and shakes her head, but keeps quiet.

Aylena gets back to the counter and starts mixing it just like last time, 1/3 rum, 2/3 cola in a glass filled with ice. "Just my poor attempt at a joke, kid," she says as she places the drinks on the counter.

''Well you clearly got me. For a moment I thought you were being serious.''

Renala tilts her head before nodding her thanks, wrapping her arm around Victoria's waist to give her a playful squeeze before letting go again. "We're co-workers, that's about the end of it," she says with a smile, "but you didn't seriously think I was one, did you?"

''No, no, I meant that to the bartender. I would only joke with co-workers.'' She took a quick sip of her drink.

Aylena shakes her head. "I figured you'd be around where my kids are, T'Iavay," she says, "some of which have kids of their own." She glances around and notices a patron signaling for her attention down the bar, and she leaves the pair alone for the time being.

Renala takes a long sip of her drink. "Fuck, she's that old?" she mutters to herself. "You're not quite right, Victoria, but I don't like you any less for it." Her tone is light, a smirk plastered on her face.

Victoria put an arm around Renala's shoulders ''You clearly love me for it.''

Renala doesn't let her smirk fade before a faint nod. "A little," is all she's willing to admit before downing half of her drink.

Victoria gave Renala a hug ''I guess that is because I saved your ass.'' She said in a joking tone.

Renala wraps an arm around her as she's hugged. "Could have something to do with it, yeah," she answers, in the same playful tone.

''If only we were not co-workers.'' She said as she left go of the hug and took a sip from her drink.

Renala nods. "You sure you'd be up for raising a kid for half a century, anyway?" she says, sounding entirely unserious. She takes another sip of her drink.

''If it was you, you know it!'' She gave a playful wink, and took a long sip of her drink.

Renala smirks, but is interrupted by the repeated chirp, and the omni-tool flashing to life, and the grin fades. "What timing," she mutters to herself as she supresses the tool's notification sound. "It's been good talking with you, Vic, but I got someone back on Thessia that wants their part of my day." She downs her glass and stands up in her seat.

''I'll talk to you later, Rena. Looks like I cannot have you to myself all day.'' She smirked at the asari.

Renala let's out a soft laugh and nods. "The moon's not coming down tomorrow, Vic," she says. "So, I'll see you around." Without lingering for more than a second, she makes her way to the stairs and ascends them; heading to her room.

Victoria finished her drink and paid for it. Then she head back to her room a short while later.
