Sioria walks through the Respite door, looking not so happy. She is wearing some regular turian female attire, not showing much skin at all. She makes her way to the bar and sits down next to Ehanis. "Hey Blue-skin..." she grunts before ordering a drink.
#Miner'sRespite – August 17, 2014
Ehanis looks the turian up and down as she sits beside her. "Hey, Grey-carapace," she says with a smirk. "What's up?"
Va'ynna nods at the turian before making her way off to find a bottle of some strong turian liquor meant for shotting. It does not have a human name, but 'Turian Absynthe' would be close. She places it on the counter. "It's, um, the strongest thing we have that's... for turians," she says. "Is that... what you want?"
Sioria nods. "Yes. Thanks." she says before pouring a shot. She quickly downs it, then shudders. "That IS strong..."
Ehanis raises an eyebrow. "Oh, what happened?" she says before glancing towards the bottle. "Let's drink ourselves stupid then, and worry about finding work tomorrow."
Sioria nods. "Squad went home, I didn't want to. I resigned so I could stay here." she explains. "At least they let me keep my equipment..." She then looks at Ehanis before pouring herself another shot. "To getting blind drunk." she says, lifting the glass.
Va'ynna smiles slightly. "Um, that's what I said," she says, tapping on a terminal as she leaves the bottle on the counter. "Would you like anything, too?" she glances at Ehanis.
Ehanis give an exaggerated nod. "Batarian ale," she says. "And two glasses of some asari brandy." The asari turns towards Sioria. "So, what's got you staying behind?" she says. "Other than me, of course." A smirk follows.
Sioria chuckles. "Other than you, lets see..." she says. "Busting criminal heads is fun. There's more exciting work. More new people." She explains, listing her reasons. "And home is boring as shit these days." she does another shot.
Ehanis shrugs. "The price of excitement, I suppose." She glances towards the other asari before continuing, "Maybe this Redrock place is hiring."
Sioria shrugs, doing another shot before wincing. "Maybe... something a little less strong... for a break." she says, but keeps the bottle of absinthe-equivalent. "Yeah... they own damn near all the good contracts." she says, loosening up a little. "Hey, thanks for bringing me out for drinks tonight. Need a break." she says, smiling at Ehanis.
Va'ynna hears that and brings back a bottle with turian brandy along with Ehanis' order. "How about brandy?" she asks the turian while pouring the glasses for Ehanis and handing them to her.
Ehanis smiles. "Don't mention it, we all need this now and then," she says, patting her shoulder. "And it's probably a good idea to get it out of the way before we're collegues." She looks towards the other asari and nods. "Thanks!"
Va'ynna returns the bottles to the shelves before getting back with a light turian drink that could be considered a beer. She pours the bottle into a pint-sized glass before placing it on the counter before them. "There's... a few people working for Redrock staying here," she says. "You might... runt into them."
Ehanis shrugs. "You never know," she says. "And maybe they're fine with us drinking with collegues." She takes the glass of asari brandy and takes a small sip of it.
Sioria nods with a smile. "Yeah, here's hoping." she says, taking another swig of her beer. "So ehanis. What's new with you?"
Just winding down after our bumpy move. We had a bit of trouble here, too, since we had no guarantor, but they were fine if we paid the rent upfront.
Sioria smirks, sipping her beer. "So you paid it?" she asks. "I should probably start apartment hunting..."
Ehanis nods. "Yep, what else could we do?" she says before taking a long sip of her drink. "If you don't mind a little drive to town, the homesteads are much cheaper to live in."
Sioria shrugs. "That's nice, but I have no transport." she says before taking another swig of the beer.
Ehanis nods. "Neither do I, but I'll be getting one once I can afford it," she says. "It'll be cheaper in the long run than the 100 credits it takes to get here by cab."
Sioria smirks and nods. "Yeah... I'll think about it." she says before finishing her beer. "Spacious place?" she asks before signalling V for another.
Ehanis shakes her head. "Nah, but it's big enough," she says, "and four-thousand a month isn't much between the two of us."
Sioria blinks. "4K... not bad..." she mutters. "Yeah, I'll definitely look into it. I still have the lease on the compound we rented for another month or so. It'd be more expensive to break the lease than it would be to just let it run out."
Ehanis grins. "Got a couch there or something I could crash on?" she says. "Just considering my options..." She downs the remainder of her brandy. "It'd be seven or eight thousand for a similar place around here, I think."
Va'ynna pours the turian's glass before glancing around if anyone else wants service. Spotting one, she makes her way over to him.
Sioria nods a thank you to Va'ynna, then looks back at Ehanis. "I've got 5 empty quarters." she says with a smirk. "It gets pretty lonely over there. And its about 10k a month. Should be fine if you get three other people to share the rent with."
Ehanis chuckles. "Just for tonight if I'm too drunk to give a taxi directions," she says. "Mi' would be pissed if I leave our place to her, too."
Sioria gives a hearty laugh, then nods. "Of course, of course. There's five rooms to choose from, and a rather comfy hallway if you don't make it that far." she says, swigging her beer again.
Ehanis grins. "Thanks," she says before moving on to the second glass, taking a sip. "Is it a long walk from here?"
Sioria shakes her head. "Nah, just about five minutes. Maybe a fifteen minute stumble." she says with a chuckle. "Not far at all."
Ehanis nods, downing the second glass, as well. "I'll say half an hour, then, since we'll probably stumble down some wrong streets," she shrugs. "But let's worry about that when we go home." She reaches forward and picks up her glass of batarian ale. "Or carry me home if I drink too much of this stuff," she jokes, followed by a giggle.
Ehanis takes a small sip of the lime green liquid, evoking a soft caugh. "We'll figure something out," she says. "Maybe we won't remember who carried who!"
Sioria laughs, giving Ehanis a pat on the back. "Think you could use your biotics while smashed? You could carry both of us."
Ehanis shakes her head. "Biotics is precise stuff," she says., "that wouldn't end pretty." She takes a large gulp of the drink, coughing again at the burn. "Besides, my basic teleki-telek...," she pauses, "...lifting is crap."
Sioria snorts and chuckles, taking a big swig from her drink. "Telekelifting." she says, getting a little buzzed. "Fair enough. We'll stumble it." She smiles at the Asari. "It just occured to me that I don't know anyhting about you."
I'm not very interesting. Just another asari running with mercs since she got out of her mother's house.
Ehanis shrugs, her speech getting a little less clear, "but what you wanna know?" She downs the remainder of the glass, slamming it onto the bar counter.
Sioria pours herself two large shots before downing them, then slamming her fist on the bar. "Hoooo!" she cheers, then looks back at Ehanis. "Anything, pretty lady." she says with a smile.
Uh, I can shoot stuff, throw things at people... throw people at things. Came here to do that for creds since Omega got weird.
Sioria snickers then bursts out laughing, pounding the bar. "Anothere here too!" she shouts, then calms a little. "Hehe.... yeah... me 'n' you have a little in common... but I don't use bioticsh to throw peeps around."
Va'ynna moves over to them and pours a glass for both of them after double-checking the bottles. "I... don't think you should have more than two of those," she says to Ehanis, recalling what it did to the Redrock chief.
Ehanis giggles, waving dismissiviely. "Won't be a problem," she says. "I'm fine." She takes the glass and sips it, not caughing at the burn this time.
Sioria giggles womanly for once. "Don't get places or company like this back home." she says with a big smile.
Ehanis winds an arm around the turian's back as she downs half of her drink. "Don't find many... real turiansh in Terminus, either," she says with a smile.
Sioria giggles and wraps her own arm around Ehanis. "That's cuz REAL Turians hang around Paaaala... Palavun." she says, before swigging her drink again. "The ones out here are... pashifests n people who don't wanna fight for the better good. Wusses..." She sips her drink again. "'Cept my parents. They're good Turians. They were in the army."
Ehanis downs the rest of it, starting to lean on the turian before the gap between the stools become all too apparent. She mutters some curses and drops the glass on the counter before laying her hand flat on it.
Sioria can't help but lean back, almost falling over the Asari. "Whoops!" she says before picking herself back up. "My bad... More drink is needed I think." She downs the rest of her beer. "Aw... no more drink..."
Va'ynna quickly grabs the glass as it rolls towards her, turning it upright. "Um, I...." She looks at them, seeming a little worried. "Uh, what can I get you?"
Va'ynna frowns, glancing at Ehanis' glass. "Just... no more batarian ale," she says. "Two is more than enough."
Va'ynna picks up the beer bottle, pouring another for the turian. "Sorry," she says, but she can't help but smile. "Two... is enough. I can get you something... lighter if that's okay?"
Sioria grabs her beer and wiggles it at Ehanis. "I got some moooore." she says, then sticks out her tongue before taking a long sip.
Ehanis pouts, staring at the barkeep with a tilted head. She then nudges the turian's side. "You're so mean!" She sighs. "Fiiiiine," she drawls out. "Brandy, then."
Sioria pulls the Asari into a half hug. "I'll make it up to you." she says, taking another sip. "Somehow."
Va'ynna pours brandy into one of the glasses before taking away the two empty ones on the counter, before something happens. "But... just one," she says.
Ehanis winks after 'somehow', teasing. She loses her balance a little as she reaches for the glass, slumping forward in overraction, and her grip around the turian loosen a bit.
Va'ynna is quick to move the glass to the side to not have its content spilled. "Definitely just one," she murmurs, but she can't help but look a little amused.
Ehanis grins as she pushes herself back, and would have fallen off the seat backwards if not for the turian's hands on her. "Hey, don't... pull my skirt down yet," she jokes.
Sioria snickers, taking one hand off, but keeping the other around her waist. "Is that an offer?" she asks before downing a bit more of her beer. "Mmmm... beer..."
Ehanis looks at her, feigning an innocent look. "What offer?" she says. She reaches out and carefully takes the glass before getting to it, downing about half the content.
Sioria rolls her eyes. "neeeevermiiiind." she says, sipping her drink. "Gotta shay..." she mutters, looking at Ehanis. "Thish night is probably... the besht night I've had in a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time."
Sioria wraps both hands around Ehanis and pulls her into a hug. "Yooou're the beshty person eva!" she says, giving her a little squeeze.
Ehanis gasps, smashing the glass down on the counter. It's still upright, fortunately, but some of the brandy swirls around and drops land on the counter. She then returns the hug after a few seconds. "We've... jusht met," she mutters followed by another giggle.
Sioria giggles. "But you're shtill awesome." she mumbles, letting go. She picks up her glass and finishes it off. "Awwww... I'm out." she grumbles.
Va'ynna starts walking down the counter, despite noone waving for her, hoping the others would think she's busy.
Ehanis reaches out and picks up her own glass, before looking at the turian, sticking out her tongue. "I'm not," she drawls out.
Sioria would pout if she could. "Lucky..." she grumbles. "Heeeey... V abandonned uuuuuuuuus..." she moans, looking down the bar. "Nooooo..." her voice slowly dies out with her defeated 'no'
Ehanis downs her glass and puts it down on the counter. "How could she?" she says, just as dramatically.
Va'ynna returns to the pair. "Could I get you a glass of water?" she says. "You... have had enough, I think."
Va'ynna pours the rest of the beer bottle for the turian, enough to fill a glass. "But... you've had enough," she says to the asari with an apologetic smile.
Va'ynna shakes her head, again. She pours a glass of water and places it on the counter before taking the other empty ones. "You need to... take a break," she says. "Maybe... after a bit." She pauses. "Could I get you any food... or snacks?"
Sioria sips her beer some more and smiles. "So, eeeehanish. You wanna come over tonight?" she asks, giving the asari a nudge.
Sioria shrugs. "Maybe. Haven't checked. Maybe the guys forgot a six-pack or something." she says, leaning against Ehanis. "Only one way to find out~"
Ehanis puts down the glass and stands, eager at the thought of more alcohol with the prude behind the bar not willing to serve her. She lays her hands flat on the counter, her balance really affected by the drinks she's had.
Sioria steps up and gives a little stumble. She then wraps an arm around Ehanis and smiles. "Lemme help ya." she says as she puts some credits down on the table. Its more than enough. "Letsh go to mine."
Ehanis fishes out a credit chit from a small pocket on her skirt and drops it on the counter. It's about twice her tab, but the asari isn't aware. She turns towards the exit.
Ehanis follows along, wrapping an arm around the turian's waist. She leans on her, maybe putting too much weight on the turian.
