#Miner'sRespite – March 31, 2015

This logfile is imported from aitelogs2 and may contain errors or wrong timestamps.

Renala is sitting at the bar, an empty plate and a glass of water before her. The asari is wearing a brown leather jacket over a red top. There is an SMG holstered to her thigh and her amp is in.

Aylena is currently busy speaking with a lightly armored asari patron who stands in front of the bar, which appears to be a somewhat unplreasant conversation by the tone of it.

Razix entered the Miner's Respite for the first time. In his right hand hefted a large bag of belongings slung over his back. He looked like someone who just stepped off the spaceport and rightly so considering his circumstances. His initial sweep of the first open area showed not too many people inside. He spotted the few asari at the bar and figured it was as good of a place to

start as any. "Excuse me?" he asked as he walked over to the bar. There seemed to be a heated discussion happening but he decided to assert himself anyway. "I'm looking for the owner of this place."

Aylena sighs. "I. Don't. Care," she says to the other asari. "Now, get out before I call security over." Without awaiting response, she makes her way over to serve the turian with a sigh. "Sorry you had to see that," she says. "I take it you need a room for the night?"

The other asari, a matriarch by the looks of it, remains where she is, staring at the bar owner.

Razix couldn't help but look at the older asari next to him with curiosity. Apparently the threat of having security drag them out didn't phase her at all. The apparent owner snapped him from his thoughts and he looked over to her. "Eh--... Yeah. At least for tonight, and don't worry about it." he commented the last part a bit quieter to try and not offend the other woman. He glanced

to his other side where another asari sat, this one visibly armed. "I wasn't aware open carry was allowed on this planet." he said in general, eyes switching between the owner and the woman with the gun.

Aylena nods. "I can't deny anyone to carry weapons in here," she says. "I wouldn't have any business that way. Pull it out, though, and we'll have a problem." She starts typing into the terminal. "First time out in the terminus?"

Razix merely blinked a few times and flexed his mandibles as his only outer showing of thought process. "I suppose so." he said before taking a spot next to Renala and allowing his bag to sit at his feet. "Yeah, first time out here." he answered with a nod. "Just got done with my compulsory service and felt like I wanted a change of scenery. Not sure why I picked all the way out here.

Maybe it was just the first thing I saw?" he said with a hint of a grin. "I probably should have done more research before jumping on the first ship out." he said, taking a glance at the three asari surrounding him.

Aylena smiles slightly. "One night will be two-hundred credits," she informs him. "It's not that bad out here. Not quite where I'm planning to retire, but it's far from the worst place to come to." She gestures to Renala. "She's working here, by the way. Don't you worry about her."

Renala looks up and offers a small wave before returning to casting a few glances the way of the less polite patron every now and then.

The other asari clears her throat. "I'm not done here," she says. "I'll give you ten minutes to reconsider where your loyalties lie." She then makes her way over to a booth nearby the bar.

Razix opened his bag and began digging through it. "Right, of course." he said in response to the payment. "I admit, I rarely did patrols near Terminus space. I actually wasn't up in a ship all that much either. They had me working in garages planet side most of the time. So, my knowledge of the Terminus is almost strictly word of mouth." he said, trying to make small talk. He let

out a small chuckle when the asari waved at him before offering a flick of his wrist on a mock salute. "Name's Razix." he said to both asari's just as the other one stormed off. He watched her walk away in a huff before turning back to the owner. "What's her deal?" he said with a nod of his head.

Pip approaches the Miner's Respite, a simple backpack slung over her shoulder. She tips up her mechanics cap and pulls up her goggles, mouthing out the name to the building. She smiles as she turns around, giving her companion a wave. She steps through the doors and surveys her surroundings, inhaling a deep breath as she does so.

Watty follows his friend, the shortened YMIR mech pausing at the entrance. He tilts his head at the door, analysing its size and width. It detaches the small chest it is carrying and pushes it to the side, patting it for good measure. He then plonks himself next to it and waits outside the door.

Aylena shrugs, and glances towards her. "She's either full of crap, or delusional about the reach of her authority." She types on the terminal, setting up the room while awaiting payment. "I'm Aylena," she adds.

Pip shakes her head as she hears Watty sit down. She moves over to the bar, hopping onto a barstool as drops her backpack beside her. She gives a small smile to the bartender, but otherwise remains quiet.

Renala is about to return the introduction to the turian when she hears the mech steps through and she gets to her feet. She walks over to the human woman and taps her on the shoulder. "What's with the mech?" she asks in a lowered voice. "And why the hell did you park it by the front door?"

Razix heard the whirring of motors coming from somewhere. His eyes narrowed and his mandibles moved as he looked around to try and pinpoint the sound. The sight of a human woman coming through the door lent to him finding the source of the noise, a mech was sitting outside of the door. His mouth gaped and his mandibles hung down. "What--... is that YMIR mech?" he asked to no one in

particular. He turned his head slowly to look at the girl that sat down, perhaps the owner of the mech? He suddenly realized he still had his hand inside his bag and he quickly resumed fishing for his credit chit. He finally found it and handed it off to the owner. "Nice to meet you Aylena." he said, fidgetting in his seat. Now he was thoroughly distracted. What sort of place did he

arrive in? His eyes never seemed to stop looking from the mech to the human, back to the angry asari and the owner.

Pip turns and smiles up at the asari, batting her bright blue eyes. "Uh, personal disability mech?" she tries. She looks at the turian and gives him a nod and a wink, turning back to the asari. "Well, he couldn't exactly fit through the door, so...".

Aylena sighs, but lets Renala take care of it. She takes the credit chit and charges it before setting up the room. "Security will take care of it," she says. "Some people are just weird..." The turian will receive the digital key and instructions along with room number. A staircase near the bar leads to the rooms.

Renala can't help but laugh. "You were walking just fine," she points out. "Do you own a place nearby where you could stow it away? I can't imagine the militia being happy about you prancing around with that kind of hardware in tow."

Pip smirks and holds her hands up in mock surrender. "Alright, you outed me," she giggles. "But I've only been onworld for about an hour. I haven't had time to talk real estate."

Galatea pushes open the respite's door with a light touch and gingerly steps inside, holding herself perfectly straight. With her impeccably clean, well-tailored clothing, she looks a little out of place among the town's usual population. "There appears to be an unregistered, highly customized military-grade attack mech outside this facility. Please elaborate."

Watty peers around the door, looking over at Galatea. "I am Watty. A pleasure."

More than a few patrons have set their eyes on the mech, including the less-than-happy asari that were bothering Aylena earlier.

Razix shook his head at the human. "That's a load of s'kak. That's a damned combat mech. I wasn't aware open-carry included death machines." he commented sarcastically. He ran a hand down his face with an exasperated sigh. "Spirits, I'd ask for a drink to get me through this but I think I'd better be sober..." he said to Aylena. As if speaking this thoughts, another human came

through the door and said exactly what he was thinking but her motions and speech seemed... off to him. "And now the mech is talking back to us."

Factory-standard YMIR-series mechs are not fitted with a voice module. I am afraid this model's warranty has been voided.

Renala sighs. "Then get to it, kid," she says. "It's making people nervous." She glances towards the familiar voice and smile crosses her lips, but she keeps focusing on her job.

Aylena frowns. "Calm down," she says. "Security will take care of it."

Pip blinks, looking at Renala and then back to Galatea. "Listen, babe, they do have voice modules. However, they mostly just say ONLINE and refer to their current state." She now turns to Renala. "And secondly, he's not doing anything wrong. He is literally sat outside the door being pretty gosh darn polite."

I am sorry for any inconvenience caused by my presence. I do not wish to alarm.

See! Polite.

Correction. That is a playback device pre-programmed with status-specific lines. A voice module is a unit designed to produce actual variant speech.

... you're lucky you're hot.

Galatea is silent for a moment as she processes this.

I fail to see how my physical appearance is relevant to the current situation. Please elaborate.

Razix stared at everything that was going on in front of him. "This is getting too weird for me... I'll take that drink now." he said with a raised finger at Aylena. He then sifted through his bag to make sure his pistol was within easy reach if he needed it.

Va'ynna appears in the doorway in the back of the bar. She's holding a pizza (on a large plate) meant for a customer. She freezes in place at the sight of the mech, staring at it.

Shit, she talks more like a VI than a person...

Aylena nods. "You and me both, Razix," she says. "What are you having?"

Pip still has her hands raised, this time more in actual surrender.

Razix was half caught between a laugh and a look of confusion. "At this point, something strong." he said with a side-long glance, unable to remove his eyes from the strange conversation.

My apologies. I will adjust my diction.

Renala frowns. "I like you, kid," she says, "but that mech has got to go." She enables her omni-tool and types on it before coming to an extranet article, sending it over to her. It's a place to rent storage three blocks to the west and one block north. "No guarantee they'll store your mech, but anywhere's better than our front door."

Pip lowers her arm as her omni-tool beeps. She quickly scans through the contents of the article and shakes her head. "He's not a 'thing' to shove into a box," she says heatedly, quickly typing into her omni-tool. "But if it'll calm you all down, fine."

Standard-issue mechs lack the hardware requirements for AI installation. Thus, he is by definition a thing.

Aylena nods. "Easy enough," she says, moving over to find a bottle of strong turian brandy as the selection of dextro drinks isn't that great. She returns with it and picks out a glass. "Don't worry." She fills the glass and hands it to him. "Our security has handled worse than a... polite mech." She then walks over to the door and takes the plate off Va'ynna's hands and starts making her way over to the booth.

Va'ynna doesn't linger a second longer than necessary, and is gone through the door as soon as the plate is taken off her hands.

Watty perks up his head and turns to look at Pip. "Are you certain?" With a nod of her head, she gives a small sad wave at Watty. He raises himself from the ground and picks up the case, reattaching it to his back. He plods off in the direction of the storage bays.

There. Done. We good?

Renala raises an eyebrow as she glances over her shoulder at the departing mech. "Works for me," she says with a shrug, "but I wouldn't let that thing walk there on its own if I were you."

Razix nodded in thanks to Aylena as she left to go attend to her establishment. "Come on, human." he called from his seat. "You're telling me that you didn't think people would make a fuss over you bringing a combat mech through a town? Terminus or not..."

A human man sitting in a booth not far from the exit enables his omni-tool and starts typing once the mech is out of sight, but possibly not out of mind.

Hardware theft is quite profitable in the terminus systems, especially since your YMIR model is unregistered. If you have set it to self-defend, an incident is highly likely.

Pip grins at the turian. "First off, technically isn't a combat grade mech anymore. He has no weapons. And B, some colonies out there are used to the sight." She taps her chin in thought. "Honestly, I'm surprised at the lack of mechs around here." She nods at Renala and picks up her backpack.

Will I be allowed back in?

Renala chuckles. "This job might be boring most of the time," she says, "but don't do that again, okay? Then you and I won't have a problem." She then turns her attention to Galatea, which she approaches and gives a hug without much forewarning, a smirk on her face as she's curious about how she'll process that. "It's been a year, hasn't it?"

Pip makes a face behind Renala as she moves off back to the exit. She casts a curious look at Galatea as she passes, before heading off in the direction that Watty set off in.

Razix | "Could have fooled me..." he muttered to himself, watching the human leave. "It doesn't exactly seem like a town of industry so I wouldn't expect mechs to be common." At this point he was mostly just talking to himself. He watched the asari and the human embrace but didn't persue much more than that.

Galatea seems entirely unused to being hugged, and again she freezes for a moment as she needs to process the new situation, but then does somewhat stiffly hug Renala back. "It has been three hundred and eighty-four days, two hours and twenty-three minutes by standard galactic reckoning. Good evening, Renala T'Iavay."

Renala lets go of the hug. "Of course you'd know that," she says. "Why didn't you tell me you'd be away?"

I was not away, simply busy. I cannot predict the requirements of my work.

Galatea pauses for a while, again processing.

It is good to see you.

Aylena seems a little amused now that the situation is under control. "If only everyone was as careful as you when they're new here...."

Razix looked at Aylena when she returned, offering a smile after she spoke. "I'm not sure what you mean." he said, feigning a small amount of ignorance. He knew it was a good idea to play it safe but little did he knew what he was going to encounter. He glanced at the bar, mentally checking to see if it was really a smart idea to order a drink. "I'm guessing that wasn't a common

occurence." he pointed toward the door with a talon.

Renala | "Fair enough," she says. "I know a thing or two about unpredictable work." She gestures towards the bar.

Galatea takes a critical look around the establishment. "Business appears to be going well."

Renala shrugs. "Seems that way," she says. "But you'll have to ask the owner." She walks over to and retakes her seat at the bar.

Galatea gingerly sits down on one of the barstools after wiping it with her sleeve. "It is good to find that this settlement has not yet fallen victim to the turf wars."

Aylena shakes her head. "Far from it, in fact," she says. "I mean, things get a little messy sometimes, but you can't be free of it out here."

Razix couldn't help but watch the asari and human follow back to where she sat previously. Their conversation wasn't exactly hushed so it was easy to hear what they were saying. He perked up after what the human said. "I'm sorry, did you say turf wars?" If he heard correctly then it would appear that he landed on a planet in more trouble than he expected. He turned to Aylena with a

look of surprise. "I think I know what you mean."

Galatea turns to the turian with a neutral, observant expression. "Indeed. Aite is a hotly contested planet due to its limited colonization time."

Renala hears her omni-tool start singing the song of its people, and stands up after muting it. "Sorry, but I got to get going," she says. "It was good to see you again, 'Tea."

Galatea turns back to Renala. "Indeed. The pleasure was mine. Have a nice day, Renala T'Iavay."

Renala pats the woman's shoulder. "You too," she says before making her way around the bar and through the door to the back. She takes the call once inside.

Aylena doesn't give further response to the turian, and she walks over to serve another patron.

The unpleasant asari from before is still at her booth, reading something on her omni-tool. She hasn't made a move even though it has been more than ten minutes.

Razix widened his eyes. "Oh." he said unsurely. "I... wasn't aware of that." However, now things might be more interesting than he thought. He watches the asari get up and leave, hearing the human use her name. He'd catalogue that for later. "Does that mean there's constant conflict on this planet? Or is it isolated to just certain areas like some petty local gang war?" he asked the

human.

You are surprisingly poorly informed. Most people know about the dangers of this planet before coming here. Aite has not had an officially recognized government since it broke from Council space in 2133, and control of the planet is split between feuding corporations, mercenary groups, militias and other invested parties.

Razix admittedly was very uninformed. He had heard about some conflicts of interest with mercenaries but assumed it was just because it was in the Terminus systems. He listened intently to what the human had to say. "Thank you for the information." he turned to the bar counter where he realized he had never gotten his drink poured. "I just got to Aite and didn't do much information

gathering. I was looking for any place to escape to."

Immigration and emigration statistics indicate that it is a more popular place to escape from.

Razix shrugged his shoulders. "Like I said, didn't do all that much research." It was hard to put into words that he wanted to find a more dangerous location so that he could satisfy some kind of... he wasn't even sure, adrenaline addiction? "It's nice to come to new places and get a fresh start though, right?"

I would not know.

Razix raised a browplate at the human before turning back to see that he had simply not noticed the drink he had on the counter. He picked it up and took a healthy swig from it before clearing his throat. "I... Alright then." He took the human's curt responses as indifference. "I guess you're not new to Freedom Falls then?"

I do not live here. I have, however, had dealings in this town in the past.

Galatea sits quite still. Not stiffly as such, it's just that she seems to be missing all the unconscious little movements people tend to be making.

Razix tried not to stare at the human but there was something off about her. It made him fidget in his seat and keep a tight grip on his glass of brandy. "Ah, just a travelling business women then." he said, trying to fill in the blanks. "I suppose Aite will be my home for a while." Especially considering he didn't have any backup plans. "Just finished my service with the heirarchy."

Fera'Sel steps into the Respite and moves towards the counter without hesitation. Her suit, while not enough to be grimy, is dirty enough to not look pristine. She sits at a random stool and drops her arms heavily onto the countertop while she waits for the bartender to make their rounds towards her.

A military history or at least basic combat knowledge is highly recommended for anyone moving to Aite, so you may consider yourself well suited.

Gregorij enters the Respite and heads straight for the bar, putting his elbows up on it and running a hand through his rather grimey hair. "Usual."

Aylena nods and moves off to get the bottle. She returns with it and pours a small glass before putting the bottle on the counter. "Here," she says. "Anything else?"

Razix couldn't help but flash a toothy grin before quickly suppressing it thinking, 'perfect'. He ran a hand over his crest and turned to fully face the bar counter. "I'll keep that in mind. Thank you, um..." he motioned his hand towards the human, unsure of what to call her. "My name is Razix by the way."

I am named Galatea.

Gregorij takes a gulp of the vodka with a grumble and then studies the glass in his hand. "Room payment. It, urgh... will be a little late this time."

How late are we talking?

Razix nodded to the human. "Nice to meet you, Galatea." Strange name for a human. Then again he'd rarely interacted with humans so who was he to say. He noticed in the corner of his vision he spotted a quarian sitting down. Speaking of species he never interacted with... "Nice to see so much diversity." he made an attempt at small talk considering this conversation was feeling very

one sided.

Gregorij grunts. "You'll get it... you always get it. Just have to... scrounge up some credits." He sips his drink.

Galatea turns briefly to look at the quarian, then nods. "As a highly violent levo-amino acid based world, Aite is an unattractive prospect for quarians on their pilgrimage. If they are injured and get an infeciton here, there is little appropriate treatment available."

Aylena nods. "Good," she simply says. "I'll hold you to it." She glances around, but nobody else is requesting service at the moment.

Fera'Sel raises her hand when she notices the bartender looking around.

"Can I get the usual please?"

Gregorij nods faintly and moves off towards the darkest booth he can find, sinking into the seat and looking out across the Respite.

Razix | Galatea's words rang in his head for a moment. Shit, he didn't even think about food or medicine. He was so used to having it all available to him with ease that he didn't think of the potential problems that came with alien worlds. He was going to have to make some connections. "Very true. I guess the quarian and I have something in common at least." he said idly. "Any

recommendations for people looking for work? Preferably a machine shop or something similar would be nice."

Pip eventually makes her way back to the Respite, her backpack left behind in the storage bay with Watty. She walks over to the bar and takes a seat, not particuarly paying attention to anyone.

Aylena complies, and makes her over to the quarian. "Coming right up," she says before going off to get the bottle, returning with it a moment later. "How's it going?" She pours the glass and hands it to her.

Local extranet adverts should provide employment opportunities in town. There are several mining companies and a mercenary organization, as well as multiple small businesses. I am afraid Cord-Hislop Aerospace is not currently looking to hire anyone.

Gregorij takes another sip of his drink, studying Pip from his place at the booth.

Fera'Sel grabs the bottle and shakes it absently for a couple seconds. "About the same as usual, but there's not a whole lot I can do about it. Work is work."

Pip activates her omni-tool and starts searching for a place to call home. She eyes a few cheap houses and starts browsing,

Razix nodded. "Right, that would be the optimal place to look." he said, seeming bashful that he didn't think to do any of this before hand. He assumed this Cord-Hislop was the company Galatea worked for. He turned to look where the quarian sat and gave a wave if she should look in his direction. Might as well start making friends since he was here.

Galatea puts a finger to her ear, as though listening to something on an earpiece, then nods and suddenly leaves the bar without another word.

Pip takes a moment to watch Galatea leave, eyes travelling downwards, before getting back to browsing.

Aylena nods. "That about sums it up for me, too," she says. "I'll get around to hiring another bartender, but there's not much I can do between the paperwork and serving drinks."

Fera'Sel makes the preparations to transport the contents of the bottle into her mouth, but happens to look up at the right time to see a hand out of the corner of her eye. She glances over and returns the wave briefly before turning back to the bartender.

"I'm surprised you haven't yet. This place is busy enough that I'd think you'd have a least a few people interested in joining up."

Fera'Sel laughs softly before continuing. "Unless I only happen to come in during the busy hours. I'm in here rarely enough for it to be possible."

Gregorij glances at Galatea as she leaves, but soon turns his attention to his drink, taking yet another sip.

Va'ynna emerges from the doorway in the back of the bar with a tray, walking purposefully towards a patron in a booth near the bar. She had asked Renala earlier whether the mech was still there.

Pip flicks through the options, slowly narrowing her searches to a few specific houses.

Razix wasn't expecting to see the human just get up and leave so quickly, especially without a word spoken. "That was weird..." he muttered to himself. He was pleased to see the wave was reciprocated from the quarian. He'd hoped that was enough of an incentive to get up and move a few seats down to chat. He slid his glass along the table and lifted his large bag from the floor to a

few seats over. "Hey there." he said to the quarian. He decided not to sit down yet incase she decided to ignore him. He noticed the human with the mech from before was back but decided to leave her to her omni-tool work.

Answering applications, interviews... that takes time, and I have precious little of that to spare.

Gregorij finishes off his vodka with a grimace and gets out of his seat, starting to make his way towards the bar. He walks up next to Pip, giving her a nod and once against resting his elbows on the bar.

"Hmm... good point... I imagine it will help with the workload once you get around to it, wouldn't it?"

Pip peers up from her omni-tool and gives the chap a smile. "Hey, you're the guy from earlier," she states. Well done Pip. "What can I do for you?"

Fera'Sel looks over to the turian again when he speaks and nods. "Hello, I don't think I've seen you around before. Sit down, if you wish."

Gregorij pushes his glass over to Aylena for a refill and looks at Pip for a moment. "That mech... it yours?" He says in his usual gravelly voice.

Aylena nods. "Of course," she says, but notices the glass before she can continue. She moves over to their position, grabbing the vodka bottle on the way there. She refills the glass.

Pip chuckles. "Did it following me give it away?" she jokes. "Yeah, it's mine."

Razix was pleased to hear he wouldn't have to walk back to his original seat and sat down next to the quarian. "Thanks." he said, grabbing the glass he slid down with him. "And yeah, I just got off the spaceport. So, I'm as new as can be here."

Gregorij is about to take a sip from his newly refilled glass when his face contorts in pain and his hand twitches, causing him to spill about half the contents, some of it on his beard and some on the bar counter. He closes his eyes for a moment and tries to wipe the vodka from his beard with the arm of his jacket.

Pip jerks back instinctively. "Shit, you alright?" she asks. She reaches into one of her pockets and pulls out a clean rag, handing it over to him.

Fera'Sel nods to the asari as she leaves and turns towards the turian. She leans forward slightly and sips from the drink before speaking.

"Oh? There's plenty of people here; I'm surprised you're choosing to talk to a quarian."

Gregorij shoves the offered rag away with a dismissive grunt. He rubs his temple for a moment and takes a sip of what's left of his drink. "You... ngh... maintain it yourself?"

Pip tucks the rag away, looking at the man cautiously. "Yeah, I do. It ain't cheap."

Gregorij nods faintly. "Thought so. Yeah. I need help. Fi-... ngh... fixing a mech."

Razix made an inquisitive look but it wasn't much more than a flick of his mandibles at the human who spilt his drink. "I didn't really think it to be a problem. Considering I'm new to the planet, I'm just trying to make friends with anyone I can. Even that strange... almost robotic human from earlier." he glanced at the door as a reflex before looking back to the quarian. "My name's

Razix. Must have said that at least three times already today." he said with a chuckle.

Pip perks up slightly. "Oh! Cool, what make is it?"

Fera'Sel nods approvingly and disengages the bottle from her mask, then shifts in her stool slightly to offer her left hand towards the turian. "Fera'Sel nar Veltar. I'm glad to make your acquaintence, Razix."

Gregorij seems almost angered by the question, but after a moment he mumbles "Class-3 disability mech."

Pip nods, showing no reaction to the type. "Okay. Dependant on the repairs, my costs may vary, but it won't be extortionate."

Gregorij grunts in response, digging a hand into one of the pockets on the inside of his jacket and producing a rather old model of omni-tool. He beeps Pip for contact info.

Razix happily shakes her hand. There was something pleasingly familiar about shaking another person's hand with three digits. "As am I, Fera'Sel." He didn't know the proper use of quarian names so he was guessing at this point. Even though quarians had been painted in such a poor light while he was in the military, he was desperate for connections and wasn't about to start pushing

people away because of their race. Even if it did make him slightly nervous. "Do you live here in Freedom Falls?" he asked.

Pip transfers her contact information over, just as her omni-tool beeps with an incoming call. She looks at the caller and smiles faintly, giving Gregorij am apologetic smile. "I have to take this. Send me the details and I'll get back to you shortly." She then quickly slips out of the Respite without waiting for an answer.

Fera'Sel returns her hand to the drink after the hand shaking finishes and pushes the straw back through her mask while the turian speaks to take a long sip.

"Yeah, I live in a small apartment complex not too far away from here. They're small and you have to do a lot of maintaining yourself, but it's cheap. If you can't afford anything better, it works to start off with."

Razix nodded absentmindedly as Fera talked. "That actually might be right up my alley. I bought a room here for a night but at two hundred credits a day, I'm gonna run myself dry really fast. I mean, I saved up a lot while I was in the military but I have no desire to start throwing it away. Not yet anyway." he said with a grin. He took a drink from his brandy as well before talking

again. "So what do you do on Aite?"

Fera'Sel leans somewhat heavily on the arm still on the countertop and fiddles idly with the glass as she speaks. "Currently? I work for a small repair business. I was lucky, that's one of the few types of jobs on this planet that I already have experience with."

Razix | "What kind of repairs? If you don't mind me asking, that is." Easy, don't want to look too desperate for work. "I was a mechanic that worked on land vehicles. It's practically an obsession for me."

Fera'Sel shrugs and takes a drink from the glass.

"It varies. Lately I've mostly been working on electronics. We're really open to any kind of work, as long as we have the skills to be able to do it."

Razix nods in understanding. "I get you. Important to be able to do anything I suppose." He grabbed his glass and finished it off, slamming it down with a resounding thud. "Anyway, I have a lot of exploring to do. I think I might drop my bag off upstairs and just... I dunno, walk around town?" He said with uncertainty.

Fera'Sel nods and moves the glass away slightly to give her room to bring up the omni-tool on her left arm. "Here's my contact info. If you need help getting acclimated to Aite or need something repaired that is outside your scope, send me a message."

types into her omni-tool a few times before sending the information over.

Razix reached down to pick up his bag before glancing at his omni-tool as it pinged in receiving new info. "Thank you, I appreciate it." he said with a genuine smile just as he stood up from his stool and started to head upstairs in the Miner's Respite. "There's a good chance I may just do that. See you around, Fera'Sel." he said with a wave before disappearing up the steps.

Fera'Sel waves back as he disappears up the stairs, then proceeds to remain for a few hours drinking before finally stumbling her way out of the door.
