Victoria was waiting outside of the Respite, wearing black long pants and a white t-shirt. She was leaning next to the door whistling a simple little tone.

Va'ynna emerges from the Respite front doors, being about ten minuites later than she said she would be as her lunch break is not exactly something to adjust the time after. She's in a dark-gray dress with green trims, with her navy-blue coat over it. She looks a little bit apprehensive, however.

Victoria looked at Va'ynna with a smile "Hey sweetie." She notices looks a bit off "Is everything alright?" She asks in a caring tone.

Va'ynna nods, and returns the smile. "I'm fine," she says. "I.... I hope you have a pistol I can borrow." She looks around.

Victoria taps her hip right above where her predator is located. "Of course, we can share. Or I can just help you out." The smile still present on her face.

Va'ynna nods and turns towards the street going south. "Do... you think there are many people there right now?"

Victoria shrugs "There might be. Or we might be able to walk right in." Vicky walked next to the asari as she down the street.

Va'ynna frowns. "I meant... people shooting guns," she says, walking beside her.

"Well, possible that there might be others. But they will be firing down the range and more than likely be supervised." She said figuring she needed to comfort the asari.

The weather this early evening is rather mild for this time of year, but just a t-shirt may be too little depending on how sensitive to cold weather Victoria is.

Va'ynna nods. "I... guess," she says. "It's just that... that I'm not very comfortable around weapons."

Victoria gives Va'ynna a quick kiss on the cheek "Don't worry, I will be there right next to you." She said still trying to comfort the asari.

Va'ynna reaches out for Victoria's hand after being kissed. "I... I trust you, so that's fine," she says. "I know I should... learn self-defence, but... I'm not sure if I can get used to the sounds of gunfire."

Victoria takes Va'ynna's hand "It will just take some time to get use to it. I know it ain't the best advice, but it is the best I got right now." She said with a dopey smile.

Va'ynna nods. "Mhm," she says before looking her over. "Isn't a bit cold for just... a shirt?"

Victoria shrugs "A little. But a bit of cold near killed anyone." Remarked "Plus I got ways of warming up."

Va'ynna tilts her head. "How?"

Victoria gave a dismissive wave of her hand "Don't worry about that right now. Lets just focus on our little task ahead."

Va'ynna nods and looks ahead as she continues walking.

After walking four blocks south, and walking west past the spaceport, they militia headquarters comes into view; a building which is few hundred meters away from its nearest neighbor. The nearest door has a sign with the shooting range and its opening hours beside it.

Victoria goes to check if the firing range is open at this time. "Should see if this place is open first."

Va'ynna frowns. "Why didn't you do that... before we left?" she says. "It's... not a short walk from the Respite."

Victoria spreads her arms out wide "I'm kidding. It is open." She points to the sign "See, we are all good." Clearly trying to her own ass.

Va'ynna tilts her head. "Or... are you?" she says followed by a giggle. "I can see the sign too... from here."

Victoria claps her hands "Welp, lets head right in and check it out." She said with a grin, still trying to cover her ass slightly.

The door has some glass panes on it revealing that it leads to a staircase. It also has no electronic opening mechanism, just a handle with a small green haptic interface that says 'PULL' on it. It's a bit heavy, however.

Va'ynna follows beside VIctoria, deferring to her to take the lead. "Let's do that."

Victoria pulls the door open and walks inside, checking if there is someone is holding down the fort.

Va'ynna follows her into the room, looking around.

The door leads into a stairs room, with u-shaped staircases with one landing both going up and down. There is a door to their immediate left, but it says 'MILITIA PERSONNEL ONLY'. It's a door similar to the one they entered, through, but a red keypad pops up over the pull handle as they go near. A sign to on the left wall point downstairs saying 'Shooting Range'. The stairs to the left leads down.

Victoria follows the signs directions and starts to head downstairs slowly. "So, how was your day so far?"

Va'ynna walks after her downstairs, her apprehension returning now that they're almost at the range. "It's... been good," she says. "I used most of my... lunch break to prepare the kitchen so I can... show up later for the evening shift." She pauses. "What have you been up to?"

The door to the shooting range is a floor below the locked door they saw earlier, and it's open. From looking through the glass panes, it seems to lead into a corridor going left.

Victoria waits for the asari to catch up, when she catches up she takes her hand. "Same old, same old. Just trying to get a plan figured out for getting my ship back."

Have you... talked to Jason about it?

Va'ynna arrives at the bottom of the staircase and waits for Victoria to open the door.

Victoria opens the door "Not about a plan. Just thinking about a plan, rather have an idea to go on before we discuss a plan."

Va'ynna nods before following her inside. "How much time do you have to get it back?"

The corridor beyond the door leads to the left, where it ends in a locked door which actually seems to have an automatic opening mechanism. Along the right wall (right when looking at said door), there's an open receptionist's window with the armory on the receptionist's side of it. A turian woman with stone gray plating stands behind it.

"Possibly another month. If Austin can stall them long enough." She then walks over to the receptionist's window.

Va'ynna nods, but doesn't give a response. She follows to the reception, but defers to Victoria.

The reception nods to the new arrivals. "Welcome," she says. "What can I do for you two? A lane is hundred credits for up to two hours."

"Hey there, I believe one lane should do us." Believing that should for the purpose of their trip. "Got my own pistol to use, might need a few thermal clips."

The turian nods and puts a pack of twenty clips on the counter. "That'll be three-hundred," she says.

Victoria pulls out a credit chit to pay for the lane and thermal clips. "There you go."

Va'ynna raises a brow at the price, but remains quiet.

The reception nods again and types something on her terminal that causes the door at the end of the hallway to open. "I've set up lane one for you. I recommend registering with the lane computer if this is your first visit," she says. "Good luck."

The range has 10 1.5m wide and 50m long lanes. Since the range has just opened, there's nobody else there except for an sky-blue asari militiawoman in armor sitting near the door to the armory that was reading something on a datapad before the door opened. There is a sign on each side wall with the range rules, which should be common sense to anyone not trying to start trouble. By each lane is a terminal letting you log in or register, wit

((*, with a tabbed interface allowing easy switching who's turn it is for those sharing a lane))

Victoria nods at the turian "Thank you very much." She then started to head towards the lane that was set up for them. When she approached their lane, she moved to the terminal "Alright time to register."

Va'ynna follows her into the room, looking around nervously, her eyes resting on the guard for a few seconds. She breathes a sigh of relief as they're the only one there except for security. She then follows her to the leftmost lane and looks over her shoulder at the terminal. "Yeah."

Victoria starts entering all of her details that are need to register into the terminal. "Alright... done. Do you want to register or keep it under my name?"

Va'ynna giggles. "It's... probably best I don't tarnish your score like that," she says. "I'm... very bad at shooting."

Victoria moved aside "Well there you go."

Va'ynna steps towards the terminal and starts typing her details into the registration form, glancing at Victoria in the corner of her eye in case she starts firing without letting her know. Her username transcribes to 'Atanix65' in human lettering. After she submits the form, she sets the current turn to Victoria.

Each logged in tab on the interface has an image of the target, a score number, and buttons (end turn, view stats and log out)

Victoria waited for Va'ynna to finish with registering before she setup the target range to 10 metres. "Okay sweetie, it is all quite simple." She draw her predator and loaded it "Just aim and shoot."

Va'ynna takes the pistol and looks it over. "I... think I know that much," she says. She makes sure the terminal is set to her turn before raising it at the target. The asari does not fire yet, however, and her index finger is hovering over the trigger, not resting on it. Va'ynna is holding it with both her hands, the left hand around the front part of the trigger-guard/grip, which may not be correct.

Victoria shakes her head "Look, let me help." She grabs her left hand and moved it closer to the handle. "Keep both hands on the handle, and take your time."

Va'ynna gives a sheepish smile before she continue to aim. Her grip on the weapon shakes for a bit before she fires, the sound making her wince. The shot flies wide, barely missing the edge at 3 'o clock on the circular target.

Victoria nods "Alright, this time I will try and steady your aim." She takes a hold of Va'ynna's arms in an attempt to prevent her aim from moving.
