Jessica and Yan Sun lounge around at the storefront for a short while as they wait for Birdy to retrurn. The drell, who goes by the name of Ronin (Probably not his real name), joined them for a bit. He seems to have worked here for quite a while and knew Jessica and her people fairly well. A few stories are told before he heads out for a bite to eat on his break. The asari is a newer hire and doesn't engage with the group, not that her job (Dante)

would have allowed her to, given the extensive work she's been doing on her customer. By the time Birdy returns from the backroom, the sun is beginning to go down. It takes a bit of convincing from Jessica, but he finally agrees to take them with him to Illumination. His truck is a large, modified vehicle. His wide frame takes up the entire front seat of the vehicle, which has a single, wide seat in it. The steering wheel is set in the middle (Dante)

of the dashboard for ease of access. Jessica and Yan Sun have plenty of room in the backseat, however. (Dante)

Birdy keeps his gaze forward, on the road. "Just like old times, alright? I'll bring you two in with me through the back. It's dark, loud, and everyone's usually too damn drunk in there for anyone to recognize you. Just keep your shit together and don't bring any attention your way and it should be fine, Jessie. That means no fights!" he says pointedly, implying she probably had more than a few scraps in this place in the past. "I do a (Dante)

lot of work for these people..." he continues, most likely for Yan Sun's sake as Jessica probably already knows this, "...So I've got access to the back entrance. But if you two start some shit, then this will probably come back on me. And if it gets back to Cross that I was helping a wanted criminal run around his town, he ain't gonna be too happy with me. Understand?" (Dante)

Jessica sits back in the backseat, propping her shoes up against the back of his seat. "Stop your worrying, Birdy. Is going to be fine, mmm? Just some dancing, maybe a little drink. No problems, right?" she asks, cocking a glance to Yan Sun for confirmation. (Dante)

Yan Sun is looking a little uneasy upon being reminded of the potential danger of Jessica lingering in the city, but upon being asked she tears her gaze away from the truck's window and nods with a glance her way. "No problems." she agrees, smirking slightly. (Tyranniac)

Birdy gives a sigh. "Uh huh. No problems..." he agrees sceptically, "...I'll believe it when I see it." (Dante)

The vehicle continues towards the outskirts of the city where more renovations are going on and people start becoming scarce, outside of the occasional Enforcer on patrol. The thumping of the music makes the club's presence known long before it can be seen. It's so loud that it can almost be felt. Birdy gives a quick explanation about Cross wanting to convert the district into mostly industry. As they round a corner, the large warehouse that (Dante)

serves as the club Illumination comes into view and the massive line streaming down the block past the club's parkinglot, a burly krogan at the front of it, letting in people as he sees fit. A large, holographic neon pink sign looms overhead, advertising the club's namesake. Bright clothing, strange haircuts and plenty of body mods on display throughout the line. It definitely appears to be Jessica's kind of place. A human woman with long, (Dante)

dreaded locks, a headset, a pair of lime green legwarmers and a sky blue skirt is walking up and down the line, hyping people up and keeping everyone active as the music thumps over a speaker situated over the door. As they near the club, the music only gets louder. Birdy lowers the window and leans out, raising a hand at the krogan bouncer who returns it with a wave of his own. Birdy turns the large vehicle down the alley on the opposite side (Dante

of the club from the parking lot and navigates around the warehouse to the backside. After parking the vehicle, Birdy hops out and opens the backdoor, retrieving a case he had set inside. (Dante)

Birdy steps away from the vehicle to give the pair room to exit. "Alright, c'mon. Let's get you inside before anyone gets a good look at you." (Dante)

Jessica leaves her jacket behind in the car, but her cap is still on her head. She adjusts it before climbing out of the truck and waiting for Yan Sun. "Is going to be so fun, kitty cat. I used to come here all the time. Looks a little different, though." (Dante)

Birdy grunts as he turns towards the club. "Cross dumped quite a few credits into sprucing this place up." (Dante)

Yan Sun seems quite fascinated as she looks out at the club while they pass. She follows Jessica outside, smiling at her enthusiasm. "Was beginning to wonder if the whole planet just died down at night. This... this is more like home." she says with a nod, smile widening. "The sound... the color... it's alive." She closes her eyes and listens to the muffled beat, hugging herself to shield from the cold since she too left her jacket. (Tyranniac

Jessica shoots a big grin Yan Sun's way and shuts the truck door once they're both out. "Mmmm. You have places like this back home?" she asks as she falls in line behind Birdy. (Dante)

There's numerous doors from the back, but Birdy leads them towards one towards the center of the building. (Dante)

Birdy pulls his omni-tool out and tapes at the interface a few times. "Alright, there's my contact info. If you two shitheads manage to dig yourselves into a hole, gimme a call and I'll see what I can do, alright?" he says, although there's a definite undertone of 'don't you dare' in his voice. He swipes his omni-tool over the door's interface and it turns from red to green. The door slides open and the interface shifts back to red. The (Dante)

moment the door opens, as if holding back a tidal wave of sound, the music grows louder. The door leads to a short hallway on the backside of the club, restrooms off to their left and a locked door on their right. at the opposite end of the short hallway is the club proper. Birdy steps inside and approaches the locked door, giving a glance back at the pair. "Have fun. But not too much fun." he warns before unlocking the door and (Dante)

disappearing inside, case in hand. (Dante)

A sea of bodys can be seen beyond the short hallway. Moving and swaying as if a single organism to the rhythm of the hard hitting music. Lights of all colors flicker on and off, laser lights shoot back and forth and the music drowns out nearly everything. Despite the seizure-inducing lights, the room is still quite dark. Numerous glow-in-the-dark tattoos are on display, flickering as bodies weave back and forth between one another. An asari (Dante)

just beyond the hallway seems to be dancing by herself, her gloves projecting a holographic lightshow of their own with each hand movement. (Dante)

Yan Sun follows Birdy into the club, her head bobbing faintly in tune with the beat, still smiling widely. "Are you kidding? All over! Hong Kong is always pulsing with energy! With light, sound. The rest of the CPF, it's closed off, quiet, dead. But Hong Kong? There's always music, dancing! It's always vibrant!" She finds herself speaking louder the further down the hallway they get, but she's still smiling, the asari with the (Tyranniac)

holo-gloves catching her attention. (Tyranniac)

The hallway opens up to the rest of the large club. To their left is a wall with a set of stairs at each end of the wall leading up to a higher tier dance floor. Columns of light of every color burst upwards from the upper dance floor to the beat of the music. To their right are a few tables to sit at, but they're mostly empty. This isn't the sort of crowd that likes to sit. The same rule applies to the bar just beyond the tables. The stools (Dante)

are nearly all vacant despite the crowd surrounding the bar. Each waiting to get their drink and get back to the dance floor. Above the bar is a balcony with a single turian watching out over it. If one were to watch, it wouldn't be long before Birdy could be spotted joining him. A large screen hangs overhead to the left displaying all sorts of lights and colors bleeding into one another as the current track scrolls by at the bottom. 'Doctor (Dante)

Bump - Zero is the Sum of the Element'. Just inside of the front door, which is opposite of where Yan Sun and Jessica currently are, a mess of people are being patted down by a pair of turian employees in bright green, glowing hardsuits. The congestion is bad, but they're doing their best to keep the line moving. In the far back of the room, high above the upper tier dance floor, is a glass-encased room where the DJ, presumably 'Doctor Bump', (Dante)

can be seen manning a synthesizer, his head bobbing to the beat of the music as his hands flash back and forth across a holographic interface, each part lighting up brightly as his hands trail over it as if orchestrating the light with his movements. The light patterns are mimed on a large screen covering the entirety of the second floor wall. The asari leans her head back, reaching high into the air with her gloved hands as strands of light (Dante)

burst forth with each wave and swing of her arms. The heat of so many bodies in close proximity and all of the lights makes the temperature far higher in here than the cold, early-winter air outside. (Dante)

Jessica yanks her hat off of her head and stuffs it into one of the deep cargo pockets lining the side of her pants. Her arms instantly slide around Yan Sun's waist from behind and she presses her entire body against her, swaying slightly to the music as they venture deeper into the club. "That sounds-... incredible." she shouts into Yan Sun's ear, although the music drowns it into little more than a whisper. She keeps her lips pressed (Dante

close to the side of Yan Sun's head so she can be heard, "Did you go dancing a lot?" she asks, "With friends? Was always a party here! Maybe was not as big as your Hong Kong, but still very much alive!" (Dante)

Yan Sun 's movements start to tune to the rythm of the music as they head out onto the lower dance floor, and eventually she stops to press back against Jessica, nodding. She finds herself having to shout her response despite the proximity. "All the time! I learned to sneak into clubs when I was sixteen! I love it! Everyone moving to the same rythm! It's amazing! Like a machine! My dad haaaaated it though!" She starts to move more (Tyranniac)

now that they've come to a stop, and it's not long before her hands go up in the air, back still pressed against Jessica. She's moving with surprising grace considering her usual clumsiness, and her cybernetics have now lit up, her entire arm covered in glowing blue lines. (Tyranniac)

Jessica remains pressed closely up against Yan Sun, her hands slowly traveling up Yan Sun's sides until she reaches her shoulders. One hand continues up, tracing along the glowing lines of Yan Sun's cybernetics, as the other reaches over Yan Sun's shoulder and rests across her chest, her hand gripping Yan Sun's opposite shoulder as she dances behind her. "Your dad sounds like an asshole!" she shouts, face pressed up against the side of (Dante

Yan Sun's head. "I was the same! Always here! But nobody here cares so long as you have credits! I pay, I get in! Usually, Birdy help us get in for free, though!" She nudges forward, ushering Yan Sun to keep moving. Slowly. Through the mass of people. "Upstairs is better!" she assures. She's noticably relaxed, her self conscious nature fading away as she's covered by a mask of strobe lights and darkness. Nobody is staring at (Dante)

her burns. Not that they could see them if they tried. (Dante)

Yan Sun keeps moving on Jessica's urging, dancing her way through the crowd quite expertly. She nods again at her words, barely heard over the music. "Exactly! Different people! People that would never get along anywhere else! People with different problems! All moving together! All the same, all forgetting their worries for a while!" Her smile returns as she speaks, and she looks up at the floor above as they reach the stairs, her (Tyranniac)

movement reduced to some slight swaying for the moment. "I missed it!" she exclaims, her voice a little hoarse from all the shouting. (Tyranniac)

Jessica's hand slides back down Yan Sun's arm and returns to her side, both hands resting on her hips as she continues up the stairs right behind her. Her smile fades somewhat as she listens to Yan Sun talk about the 'club experience', wondering if that's, perhaps, why she always spent so much time here. To forget everything else in her life. Not one to dwell on these sort of questions for too long, she quickly presses back up against (Dante)

Yan Sun as they reach the top of the stairs, lips pressed back against the woman's ear. "Mmmm. Is nice! Wasn't sure if this would be your kind of place! The quiet, timid kitty cat!" she says, giving a soft chuckle, "Now you have seen my home! Maybe I see yours next, mmm!?" (Dante)

The second floor is just as packed as the first floor. Shoulder-to-shoulder, hands filling the air. Glowing bracelets. Holographic light shows. A large, burly human is standing against the wall just at the top of the stairs. His bald head has a line of small, circular objects implanted down the center, each projecting a different beam that form a solid, holographic mohawk that's rapidly toggling between every color imaginable. The floor in the (Dante

center of the area has square panels all throughout it which is where the columns of light visible from down below are erupting from. A small bar is in the corner, but it has no stools and is far less crowded than the one downstairs as most people who come up here intend to spend their time dancing. There's a locked door to their right with an asari employee out in front of it wearing lime green leg warmers and a sky-blue skirt, just like (Dante)

the woman outside. Her top displays a holographic logo of the bar's namesake, which jitters, shakes and rotates to the music. (Dante)

Yan Sun 's movement starts to pick up again as they move further into the higher dancefloor, slipping into the colorful crowd. Her body moves from side to side as she reaches back, running her own hands over Jessica's, and up her arms before going over to her hips, leaning her head back on her shoulder until she's looking up at the ceiling. She snickers at the comment. "I was sooo nervous the first time Changying brought me along! (Tyranniac)

I'd been glued to screens all my life, it was a whole new world for me!" She doesn't quite seem to realize that she mentioned an unfamiliar name, and continues immediately. "I'd love to show you my city sometime!" (Tyranniac)

Jessica presses a kiss against Yan Sun's cheek as she leans her head back. "Mmmm. Looking forward to it!" she shouts, "Maybe-... Maybe is where we should go now that I am rich, yes!?" she adds, quite obviously holding an inflated idea of just what 50K credits can do for her. Her hands clutch at Yan Sun's hips, hooking her thumb under the beltline of her pants to keep her close as she matches her movements. "Who is that? Is your (Dante)

friend?" she asks, not bothering to try pronouncing the name herself. (Dante)

Yan Sun 's hands continue to cradle Jessica's hips, and upon her cheek being kissed she turns her head to meet her gaze for a moment, the glow of her eye almost blinding this close in the dark. Her smile falters at the question - it seems she'd barely realized she mentioned anyone. "She's my ex." she says with a wince, turning away to look out into the crowd again, still dancing, but her enthusiasm dampened a bit. (Tyranniac)

The song transitions smoothly into a new one, and the crowd adjusts accordingly. A few clear the dance floor, either for breaks or to grab drinks, but the floor is still pretty heavily populated, sweat running down many of their foreheads. 'Doctor Bump - Adrasteia Pride' begins scrolling across the bottom of the screen, implying that the DJ is most likely, unsurprisingly, a native. The song begins with an out-of-place violin rift that suddenly (Dante

meshes with a burst of electronic music and kicks right back into a high energy beat. The crowd cheers at the sight of their city's name on the screen. They're easily amused. The DJ's hands continue to orchestrate a lightshow from his station. (Dante)

Jessica frowns, her immediate reaction is to try and stake her claim in Yan Sun by attacking her ex, but she knows nothing about her. Instead, she simply leans over and presses a rather aggressive kiss against Yan Sun's lips, holding it for a moment before breaking away. "I don't like her name!" she says. Got her! Small beads of sweat are beginning to form across her browline, but she keeps her pace through it all. Moving and grinding (Dante)

up against Yan Sun from behind. "Is too hard to say!" (Dante)

Yan Sun struggles initially to adjust to the change in the beat, a bit thrown off by the unintended mention of Changying. The kiss quickly brings her focus back however, and she can't help but laugh at Jessica's eloquent criticism, her smile returning as she starts to move again. She rubs against her in pace with the rythm, her left hand reaching up and running down the back of Jessica's head, and down her neck, while her right hand (Tyranniac

moves up the back of her right thigh. "Says the girl from Aedrastaya!" (Tyranniac)

Jessica bites down on Yan Sun's shoulder playfully, losing track of the music herself as Yan Sun's movements change. "Don't-... Adrasteia is better than Changyang! Is like-... Dumb!" She frowns as her arms slink around Yan Sun's waist once more, giving her a tight squeeze. "You know is bad practice to defend old girlfriend to new girlfriend, yes!?" She immediately gets flustered and her frown deepens, as if it was Yan Sun's fault (Dante)

that she said that, "Not that I am your girlfriend! You're not that lucky! I-... guhh-.... Maybe we should get drinks, yes!?" (Dante)

Yan Sun finds herself turning her head away from Jessica to hide the goofy grin spreading across her face, but the gap in her dancing is noticable, and it soons come to a stop completely. "Yes! Drinks!" she exclaims loudly, the giggle that follows drowned out by the music. She slips out of Jessica's grip, but reaches for her hand to make sure she stays close as they head towards the bar. (Tyranniac)

Jessica grasps Yan Sun's hand and pushes through the crowd along with her as they head towards the small bar area in the corner. (Dante)

A couple of people who broke away from the dance floor are getting drinks. A female turian bartender in a shirt similar to the asari's and bright, lime green pants is dishing out drinks at rapid speeds. Taking orders. Mixing. Shaking. Sliding the drinks across the bar. Taking credit chits. It's the sort of practiced movements that only come from a lot of time spent perfecting her art. As Jessica and Yan Sun approach, she slides a tall glass of (Dante

a glowing blue liquid to a drell and looks to them. "What's it gonna be!?" she asks, shouting to be heard over the music. It's obvious that even as she's speaking to them, she's assessing where her attention is needed next. Her hand slips under the counter as she begins to prepare another patrons drink while taking their order. (Dante)

Jessica gives a shout over the crowd. "Something strong! But-... But tasty!" she shouts, not getting too specific as to avoid wasting the bartender's time and glances to Yan Sun to place her order. (Dante)

Yan Sun 's gaze travels across the bar as she considers her choice, not sure what drinks they serve out here in the Terminus. In the end she opts for instructions about as specific as Jessica's when she starts to feel like she's taking too long. "Whatever's colorful and fruity!" she shouts to the turian. (Tyranniac)

The turian's only response is a sharp nod. She reaches out her hand for payment and, as soon as Jessica drops the chit into her hand, it's swiped and slid back her way. She passes a few more drinks to others waiting around before her hands go to work just below the counter. She turns her back on the crowd to grab a couple more bottles, pouring a few into a single glass. The liquid inside is entirely clear until she adds to it, turning it (Dante)

bright pink. She gives it a quick stir with a straw before lifting it onto the counter and sliding it towards Yan Sun without bothering to look up from her next drink. It comes to a complete stop merely inches from the edge of the counter, the straw swirling around the rim of the glass. A few moments later and a second drink comes sliding to a stop beside it. It's a muddy brown color with some sort of foam at the top. The turian gives a nod to (Dante

Jessica and scoots further down the bar to help her next customer. (Dante)

Jessica scoops her muddy brown drink up and takes a sip of it. The look on her face speaks of the strength of her drink. "Whoooo!" she cheers, blinking a few times as her eyes water up. "We should get one of the booths! I never get one before because you have to pay and they expect you to spend credits! We can get like-... like something rich people drink, mmm? Wine or something, yes!? " she asks enthusiastically, giving Yan Sun a (Dante)

nudge and nodding towards the asari beside the door. "Can hear a little better inside, maybe!" she adds, "So you can tell me alllll about how much better I am than Chingying! Mmmm!?" (Dante)

Yan Sun seems to think her drink is going to fall off the counter, and reaches out to stop it, nearly knocking the glass over in the process. Upon retrieving it she turns to Jessica, and follows her nod towards the asari. "Okay! Sounds good!" she shouts before taking a look at the drink, taking a small sip from the straw. (Tyranniac)

Jessica leads the way away from the bar and over to the asari. She immediately thrusts her credit chit at the employee and points at the door beyond her. "We want a booth!" she shouts over the crowd. "Annnnnd one of your most expensive bottles of wine!" she adds proudly. (Dante)

As requested, the drink is quite fruity, which does a good job of masking the taste of alcohol, although the aftertaste once it goes down is quite strong. The asari puts on her best smile as she's approached and accepts the chit. "Of course! Our most expensive bottle of wine is 13,000 credits!" she informs as she goes to swipe the credit chit. Jessica's eyes go wide and she immediately protests, "Errrr second most expensive bottle of wine!" (Dante)

she corrects. The asari nods, "8,000 credits." she informs, now awaiting confirmation before swiping the chit. (Dante)

Jessica gains an embarassed look, glancing back at Yan Sun briefly before resting her attention back on the asari. "Just-... Something for, like-... 1,000 credits? Is fine?" she says, almost as if testing to see if that's enough for them to get into the booths. (Dante)

The asari's smile never wavers. "Absolutely!" she agrees, swiping the chit and passing it back to Jessica. "Right this way!" She opens the door beside her and steps inside. It's a long hallway behind the wall the bar was against. From this side of the wall, one is able to see that the entire length of the wall is actually a one way glass, so clear it's as if it's not there at all. It dampens the sound somewhat, but the vibrations of the music (Dante)

can still be felt. The hall is lined with doors on the opposite side of the one way glass. The asari points to the first door and it slides open. "Someone will be along with your drink right away!" she says, stepping aside. (Dante)

Yan Sun watches in silence as Jessica talks to the asari. She takes another sip of her drink, seemingly quite happy with her choice. She giggles as Jessica gradually settles for cheaper and cheaper wine, an amused look on her face as she follows the two of them down the hallway, an interested look on her face as she studies the one-way glass, reaching out with her hand to touch it. (Tyranniac)

The glass is so clear is may as well not even be there. As Yan Sun's hand makes contact with it, small ripples can be seen coming from the point her hand impacts. A holographic display. The pounding of the music on the other side of the display sends a tingle throughout Yan Sun's finger. The room that opens has a booth large enough to fit three people comfortably on each side. The wall looking out to the hall is another one way display, (Dante)

looking out into the hall and beyond. The music is much quieter in here, though still distinguishable, but the thumping and vibrating is still every bit as strong. Against the wall opposite of the door is a large screen that shows the second tier dance floor. (Dante)

Jessica takes her credit chit back and offers an embarassed smile over to Yan Sun, giving a slight shrug of her shoulders. "Is fine." she says dismissively in regards to the cheaper wine. As she notices the ripples, she quickly steps up beside Yan Sun and pokes her own finger against it. She gives a quick snicker and continues into the room. "We have one in here, too!" she calls out. (Dante)

Yan Sun snickers as she follows Jessica into the room. "Expensive wines are for stuck up snobs anyway!" she says, a little louder than necessary, before sliding into the booth on the right side, sipping her drink as she looks up at Jessica, waiting for her to follow. "Mmh... this is really good!" (Tyranniac)

Jessica doesn't move to the booth. She closes the door behind them and remains standing, one hand pressed against the display as she watches the dance floor and sips on her drink. "Mmmm. 13,000 credits for a drink? Is stupid!" she agrees. She continuously lifts her hand and sets it back down against the display, causing it to almost pulsate each time. "So..." she begins, eyes still focused on the dance floor as she phrases her (Dante)

question, sounding as if it's something that's been on her mind since Yan Sun first mentioned Changying, "...Is a lot of people you left behind in Hong Kong, yes? Not just your mother and father? Friends....? Lovers....?" (Dante)

Yan Sun remains seated, sipping her drink as she listens to Jessica. She lets out a sigh, her gaze moving to the display as well. "I spent my whole life there... what do you think? I know a lot of people in the city. Yeah." she says with a shrug, a faint frown forming as she leans back against the backrest, cradling her drink and staring at all the dancing people. (Tyranniac)

Jessica gives a few nods, still poking at the display. "How did you just-... leave like that?" she asks. It's less of a tone of judgement, and more just perplexed. Completely confused as to how someone could just willingly walk away from their whole life like that. "My home doesn't even want me anymore... And yet here I am." She glances back over her shoulder briefly, giving a quick shrug, "I miss it. Don't you?" (Dante)

Yan Sun shrugs from her seat, leaning forward and putting her elbows up on the table. She's still looking out the digital window. "Of course I miss it..." she says, hints of both sadness and slight irritation in her voice. "I love Hong Kong. But... I had to get out. Get away. I've already told you... things turned bad." (Tyranniac)

Jessica turns in place, resting her back against the window, causing a large ripple to extend outwards behind her. "No. You said you left by choice." she presses, "Mmmm? You said you wanted to see the galaxy!" she continues, proving that she does listen. At least a little. "So? Which is it? You have seen my scars. Both these-..." she reaches up, running her free hand across her face, the lowlight still enough to see the seared (Dante)

flesh in the VIP room, "-....and these!" her hand moves down to her chest, giving herself a soft pat over her heart. "Is not something I share with many people, kitty cat. Is not something I share with anyone, mmm?" She gains an embarassed look at having to be so direct. "I want to know what would push someone to leave their entire life behind if they had any other choice, mmm? I want to know about you, kitty cat." (Dante)

Despite her sincerity, it's obvious that her embarassment is quickly turning to frustration over having to be so direct. Not the type to wear her heart on her sleeve, it doesn't take long for it to turn into borderline aggression. "Maybe-... Maybe if you didn't leave, you could be in some glamorous club in Hong Kong right now, yes? With-... with Chongyong and a 13,000 credit bottle of wine instead of some ignorant Adrasteian (Dante)

trash on some backwater planet out in the Terminus. Maybe would be better?" (Dante)

Yan Sun gains a faint look of guilt as Jessica starts to speak, and her gaze travels along her scars. She seems about to say something, but her expression quickly changes when Jessica continues, and her frown returns, deepening. "If I wanted to be there I would be!" she says loudly, quite clearly annoyed at this point. Something Jessica said definitely hit a nerve. "I did leave out of choice. Because things turned bad. And now I'm (Tyranniac

here because I want to be. Because I like you! Is that really so hard to get?!" She almost glares at Jessica from where she's sitting, but at the last part her voice wavers. "You think I'd be here if I thought you were 'backwater trash'...?" she asks, her voice suddenly much softer. (Tyranniac)

Jessica takes a long sip from her drink, glaring at Yan Sun over the brim of the glass. Her expression turns to a scowl as Yan Sun begins getting loud and she folds her arms across her chest, resting her glass against the crook of the inside of her elbow. "Mmmm? I don't know." she says plainly, giving a dismissive shrug. "Maybe this is just some fun for you. Go, meet some of the lowlives of the galaxy, yes? Slum it up a bit. Then you (Dante)

just-... just go back to your comfortable life." she says, although it's clear from the expression on her face that she regrets saying it the moment it leaves her mouth, but being who she is, she can't help but commit, "Wouldn't be the first time it happened-..." she looks Yan Sun up and down, "....probably won't be the last. But for me? This is my life. No matter where I go, this will be my life, mmm? So-.... so if you're (Dante)

going to just-... just run back to your mother and father next week when you get over whatever chased you off and-... make up with Chengyeng or whoever-... Is fine! I don't care!" she pushes, her abandonment issues taking a front seat as she gradually grows more and more embarassed but is unable to stop her rambling. (Dante)

Yan Sun looks away from Jessica when she speaks again, still frowning, and staring instead at her drink. It's more than clear that Jessica's assessment of her has really offended her. "Is that what you think? That-... that I'm just some spoiled brat 'slumming it' in the Terminus?" She blinks to hold back the tears that have started to form in her eyes, glaring at the pink liquid in her glass. "Maybe I should go back then... like you (Tyranniac

said, you wouldn't care anyway, right?" (Tyranniac)

Jessica's expression breaks for a moment, but she pushes it right back up, double-downing on her own brand of stupid. "Does it matter what I think? Whatever. Maybe is best, mmm?" she says, blinking her good eye a bunch of times. She spins back around in place, opting to look back out the window rather than face Yan Sun after such a pathetic display of her own insecurities. She sucks in a deep breath and fights with every bone in her (Dante)

body just to let it be, as it would probably be better for both of them, but her shoulders slump and she turns back towards Yan Sun just as quickly as she faced away. "Fuck you!" she adds on top, a frustrated sound escaping her right behind it, "Guh-... No! You just piss me off so much! I show you all of this! I tell you everything! I don't do that for anyone! And I don't know why I did this-..." she admits, stomping closer (Dante

to Yan Sun and slamming her drink down on the table, "...You're just-.... Ughhh... So fucking stupid! I don't know why I like you so much! Believe me, I wish I didn't!" she continues, her voice growing less and less confident as she continues, "But-... But I do! Okay!? And all I know is you have a fight with your dad and run off, mmm? You don't say anything to me. You steal some money. Okay? So what, I don't care. You say (Dante)

your family have credits, yes? And you have this beautiful city to go home to. And friends, and girlfriends, and-... and I have, what? Mmm? You're stupid to be here." She looks down at Yan Sun and her shoulders rise and fall in a shrug, "....But I don't want you to go..." She wipes at her eye quickly, trying to mask the tears forming. "I just-... Are you going to leave? Is-... Is okay-... I just want to know...." (Dante)

Yan Sun initially starts to look more upset, and the 'Fuck you!' causes a couple of tears to escape, although she quickly wipes them away. As Jessica continues her expression starts to soften, and by the end she's sitting in silent thought, staring at the drink. She looks up at Jessica, her frown much softer now. "I-..." she trails off, and instead stands up in front of Jessica, looking down at her hand as she reaches over to grasp (Tyranniac)

it. "I'm not just gonna... leave." She runs her thumb over the burnt skin of her hand, still looking down at it. "I..." She lets out a quiet, awkward chuckle. "...I really like you, Jessica. And... I like doing stuff with you. I'm here because I want to be. Yeah, I miss my city... but my parents? My ex-girlfriend? No, I don't miss them. And I'm not going back to them." She looks up at Jessica's face, hoping to meet her (Tyranniac)

gaze. The glowing eye seems to stare deep into her, the light bright in the dimly lit room. "If you want to know more about me, I'll tell you, okay...? Just ask..." (Tyranniac)

Jessica's frown only deepens as she believes she's being talked to like she's stupid. She opens her mouth to interrupt many times, but nothing comes out. Her gaze lowers to Yan Sun's hand over her own and she lets out a deep sigh before lifting her head to meet the woman's gaze for a brief moment. "I don't want to know anything!" she insists, her head lowering back downward as she reaches for Yan Sun's other hand and gives it a (Dante)

squeeze. "Is not important." she adds in a mutter. A few silent moments pass before she returns to Yan Sun's eyes with a weak shrug. "Why did you leave, kitty cat? Is not my business, this I know. But-... but I'm here and-..." she glances around at the small room in the back of an old club in a backwater city she used to call home, but now would just as well see her dead in a ditch, "...I don't understand. I don't understand (Dante)

you." she frowns, "...I don't like not understanding, mmm? Are you in trouble? I know you tell me that you steal some credits but-..." she shrugs again, "...Is okay. I just-... I want to understand." (Dante)
