Uvena enters the building, heading for the hallway immediately without talking with the VI receptionist. She opens her black winter jacket now that she is inside, and she seems to be green wearing a tanktop beneath. (Renala_T`Iavay)

Nathan is, unsurprisingly, in the armoury. He's currently hunched over one of the phasetons that was recovered from the ship and a myriad of spare parts litter the workbench. He's dressed in a nondescript t-shirt with a pair of dark blue jeans and a pair of boots. His cast has been visibly altered to allow him a much greater range of movement with his hand. His

omni-tool is quietly playing some rock.

Uvena walks down the hallway to the right and knocks once on the door before opening it, as the armory was first on her list of places to search. She looks inside from the doorway, her gaze settling on Nathan as soon as he's spotted. "There you are," she says. "I see you're enjoying your time off?" A soft laugh escapes her. (Renala_T`Iavay)

Nathan bolts upright, a tool flipping through the air as it slips from his grasp. He fumbles for it as it comes back down, barely managing to catch it. He breathes out and turns, a somewhat awkward smile crossing his face as he looks to Uvena. "When I'm not getting half scared to death by people sneaking up on me... or running into me," he muses. He then sighs and

sets the tool down. "And... I've been meaning to speak with you actually."

Uvena takes a step inside to let the door close behind her. She seems worried for a moment before he regains control over the falling tool, a small sheepish smile forming to replace the concern. "Sorry," she says. "I have as well. It's not why I'm here today, but... I figured I'd check if you were around. It's like we were hiding from each other." (Renala_T`Iavay)

Nathan offers a small chuckle, propping himself up against the workbench. "Kinda was, wasn't it? Well, I'm here now so... what have you got to say?" He asks softly, a slight tilt to his head. His free hand idly fiddles with a spanner, twisting it around on the bench.

Uvena stands where she is. "Well, 'us'" she says. "I don't have faith it's going to work. It didn't take long for me to realize it wasn't going to last, but not this short, though, I'll admit that." She chuckles, but her voice is thick with emotion; though she seems far from the verge of crying. (Renala_T`Iavay)

Nathan puffs out his cheeks and slowly releases the built up air. He sighs quietly and nods. "Well... that's kinda what I was planning on saying to you so... congratulations on beating me to it," he says with a weak laugh. "It was kind of rushed though, wasn't it?" He shrugs his shoulders lightly as he speaks.

Uvena nods. "Yeah," she answers in a drawn out fashion. "We're coworkers, at different points in our lives. And like you said, we had no foundation for a relationship." She steps closer and places a hand on his upper arm on the uninjured arm. "That said, I don't regret any of it. I needed the comfort at the time, and... well, I couldn't pass it up when you offered, even if it was in jest." (Renala_T`Iavay)

Nathan nods idly as she talks, though he smiles when she steps closer. "Hey now, you're making it sound like you just used me," he teases with a grin. "But... I don't regret it either. Still friend, yeah?" He asks with another tilt of his head.

Uvena grins. "I guess that's a way of looking at it," she says, taking back her hand, the emotion and tension in her voice and body less prominent than when she spoke prior. "But yeah, of course we'll remain friends. There's no point in making this a bigger issue than it is. I think we both have enough to deal with." (Renala_T`Iavay)

Nathan clenches and opens his hand on his injured arm, raising it to examine the cast. "You have a point there," he agrees as he lowers his hand. He looks back to her and nods once, firmly. "Well, I'm glad this has been sorted. Not going to lie, was expecting it to be blown out of proportion massively... mostly due to the words of a particular old man whom shall

remain unnamed." He glares pointedly in a random direction, as if his ice-cold stare will somehow project itself towards Jasper.

Uvena lets out a laugh, having an idea of who he is talking about. "That old man says a lot of things," she says. The asari sighs. "I thought this would be... difficult too, it's why I didn't bring it up before." (Renala_T`Iavay)

Nathan sniffs and looks back to her. "We sound like a couple of school kids," he says with a laugh. "But, I'm glad we've sorted this amicably... and that you didn't break the other arm," he adds with a mumble. "Hey, you mentioned you came here to do something else. Mind if I ask what it is?"

Uvena hums. "I didn't tell you about the trouble I got into before I signed on with Redorck, did I?" she asks. "Nobody wants to risk letting me rent anything, and I was hoping someone up in the managment knew the town well enough to help me out." (Renala_T`Iavay)

Nathan shakes his head, his curiosity piqued. "No, you certainly didn't tell me anything about that," he says. "What kinda trouble?"

((*Redrock)) (Renala_T`Iavay)

Uvena sighs. "A whole lot of bad luck," she begins. "The car I was renting a while ago got stolen, and the company got impatient. Then some asshole debt collector shoots up my apartment. None of this is my fault, but... I can understand why people are anxious about trusting me with anything." (Renala_T`Iavay)

Nathan winces. "Yeah, can kinda see that. You make it sound like you've been blacklisted from renting," he adds. "Well, if you really can't find anything, my door is always open you know. Until you can get yourself back on your feet."

Uvena tilts her head. "I appreciate the offer, but I don't want to be a burden on you," she says. "I'm not on the streets, though. My daughter let me stay with her, but I'd rather not be in their way for longer than I have to." (Renala_T`Iavay)

Nathan nods. "Well, the offer stands should you ever need it," he says with a friendly smile. "Well, Jase and the Chief are good people. I'm sure they'll know a way to help you out. If not...". He turns and pats the phaseton. "We got enough artillery here to go make those assholes who ruined your day, pay for a new place for you. Twice over." He grins slightly,

showing that he's jesting... mostly.

Uvena chuckles, looking at the Phaeston. "I don't think anyone here know who they are," she says. "A Redrock team killed that asshole while retrieving the car, and their other lead led them to a dead end." She returns her gaze to him. "I heard from T'Iavay that the car dealer have called off the debt collection, though, so I suppose that's not something I have to worry about anymore." (Renala_T`Iavay)

Nathan hums and nods. "Still, whoever that asshole belonged to might not appreciate the fact that one of theirs was killed. Y'know, if he even did belong to anyone," he says with a shrug. "But it does sound like you're in the clear for now. Heh, suppose all of this will teach you to look after your cars better from now on, eh?"

Uvena raises an eyebrow. "I did," she says, sounding a tiny bit defensive. "Well, as much as I could without a garage. I saw the thief break the lock and get into it, but it was too late for me to stop her." (Renala_T`Iavay)

Nathan shrugs his shoulders as he turns back to the workbench. He plucks up a component and turns the phaseton over, sliding it back into the weapon. He plucks up a tool and starts making sure the piece is packed tightly in. "Well, then pick another company to rent from," he says with a chuckle. "One that won't send an armed man for a stolen car."

Uvena sighs. "Or forgo that problem by buying instead," she says. "The last job paid a small fortune, and those with wheels contacting the ground aren't too expensive." She smiles slightly. "I have never piloted anything of the sort before, but how hard can it be?" (Renala_T`Iavay)

Nathan chuckles and glances across to her. "Easier than a snowmobile, I hope," he jests. "Well, I wish the best with all that, Uvena. Truly. And if you need a hand, don't hesitate to give me a call," he says. He then nods back to the phaseton. "I better get back to work. I have to change out the rest of these guns with fresh parts and I can see it taking me the

better part of a day to do so."

Uvena nods. "Thank you," she says. "And if there's anything I can offer in return, I'd be happy to help. Like cooking, housekeeping,... those mundane things that may be inconvenient to do with the cast on your arm." She smiles and turns around. "Take care," she starts walking towarsd the door. (Renala_T`Iavay)

Nathan laughs. "I might take you up on that," he says with a nod. "Yeah, you too." He watches her head toward the door before resuming his work. He turns up his omni-tool a little louder just as the current song gets to a wicked guitar rift. His head lightly bounces to the music as he replaces the heating coil of the phaeston.

Uvena chuckles before the door closes behind her, and she makes her way down the hallway. (Renala_T`Iavay)
