It's nearly 10pm on December 27th when they arrive back at the apartment.
#VVApartment – October 11, 2022
Va'ynna shudders as a bit of snow go down her neck as she takes off her coat. "I guess I'd... better get changed for bed first," she says, perhaps admitting defeat ahead of time, "you can pick the first vid in the meantime."
Victoria brushes some of the snow off of herself before taking her coat off. "Yeah, I'll see if I can find anything interesting." Vicky kicks off her shoes as well. "Would you be able to get me some warmer pants for me to change into while you change?"
Va'ynna nods. "Of course," she says while taking off her shoes. "I'll find some blankets too, so it... won't be too uncomfortable if we sleep... I mean, it'll be nice and cozy watching a vid." A soft giggle escapes her before she disappears into the bedroom.
Victoria gives a nod and a smile at Va'ynna before she disappears into the bedroom. Vicky then makes her way over to the couch, grabbing the remote and turning the screen on before movie hunting.
Va'ynna emerges a few minutes later, carrying a pair of folded-up fuzzy blankets and the requested sweatpants. "What are we watching?" she asks, drops the stuff on the couch, and steps over to the kitchen. The asari is wearing her nightdress and some wool socks.
Victoria stands up and grabs the sweatpants. "Well, I got a few choices." She takes off her pants and leaves them on the floor next to the couch. "There is Call Me Sally, a comedy about an asari spectre undercover as a human." She quickly puts on her sweatpants to defeat the cold. "Or we got one of the Blasto movies or Fleet and Flotilla."
Va'ynna hums thoughtfully. "What about... something with the person you, Leah, and Ilyna were... working with a few months ago?" she asks, and Victoria might be able to hear the mischievous smile on her face. "They're... supposed to be good vids." The kettle roars to life, and she opens a cupboard to assemble a plate of cookies from their rapidly dwindling reserves.
Victoria raises an eyebrow at the mention of Devin Tanner. "I mean, if you really want to watch one of his movies. Sure, we can watch one of Tanner's movies." Vicky was not gonna allow to get away with bringing up Devin.
Va'ynna samples one of the cookies while listening to Victoria, to make sure they're still good. She sighs at the answer, as it was not the amusing reaction she was hoping for. "I... was just... teasing," she says. "Sally sounds good, though. I have seen Fleet and Flotilla in... almost every format it's been released in." She turns around to make two mugs of hot cocoa once the kettle finishes.
Victoria shakes her head and grins. "Are you sure you wanna watch Sally? Because it sounds like you really wanna watch a Tanner film." The grin on her face remaining on her face throughout her words.
Va'ynna stirs the mugs but leaves the spoon in and begins bringing them and the plate to the couch. She is eager to get her bare legs under a blanket, so the second mug floats next to her hand using a weak biotic field. "It's... your choice to make," she deflects with a tight-lipped smile, setting the plate and mugs down on the end table.
Victoria gives an exaggerated sigh. "Alright, I guess we are watching Sally and missing out on a Devin Tanner masterpiece." Once Va'ynna sits down, Vicky has the blanket at the ready to cover the both of them.
Va'ynna shakes her head with a giggle. "Who said we were just... watching one vid," she says, grabs another cookie from the plate, and sits down. She is aware of Victoria's intentions, and thus shifts closer to her.
Victoria wraps the blanket around herself and Va'ynna, she reaches for a cookie and takes a bite. "If we manage to watch two or more vids tonight, I'd be impressed and tired." She throws an arm around Va'ynna's shoulders and brings her closer.
Va'ynna hums in agreement. "I know," she says, "I'd... be surprised if we make it through one." She takes a bite of the cookie before winding her free arm around Victoria to snuggle closer.
Victoria has a smile on her face at the moment and she plays the movie. "Alright, time for us to sit back and watch this."
Va'ynna was about to lay her head on Victoria's shoulder when she started playing the movie, and the asari had to put up at least the appearance of trying to stay awake. "I find the premise... difficult to believe," she says. "How can an asari really disguise herself as a human?"
Victoria gives a shrug. "I got no clue. Maybe really good makeup and wig." She jokes, taking another bite of her cookie. "Or space magic, yep space magic."
