Va'ynna follows beside him, a giggle escaping her at the less than serious offer. "I... don't think I have time for two jobs," she answers, "but I appreciate the offer."

Jason scoffs, a mock look of offense at her rejection on his face as he continues up the stairs. "We pay soooo much better!" he says, as if trying to persuade her. After a moment he gives a chuckle and glances over at Va'ynna, stopping in place as he reaches the top of the staircase. "In all seriousness, though, I do kind of have a favor to ask you...." he says, his tone suddenly

becoming a bit more serious.

Va'ynna follows a bit behind as she climbs the stairs. "You... could have convinced me with better hours," she jokes, before catching up with him at the top of the staircase. "Oh? What... can I do to help?"

Jason glances down the hall at the door at the end opposite of them, making sure it's closed before returning his attention to Va'ynna. "Well... I finally asked her." he begins as if Va'ynna should know what he's talking about, lowering his voice to a whisper, "Uhh... You know. Popped the question, so to speak. So... Now I guess we've got a wedding to plan and set up and-..." he winces,

seemingly realizing how much of a hassle this whole ordeal might be, "...Yeah. I don't think either of us want anything big, but I don't even know where to start. You asari live for-fucking-ever. In all that time you've gotta have some wild get togethers, right? I was thinking-..." he shrugs, "...maybe you could help with some of the prep work."

Va'ynna fidgets with her hands. "Not... this asari, I'm afraid," she says with a sheepish smile. "No... wild get-togethers, I mean, but... I'll help you however I can." She looks thoughtful. "Like, cooking and serving."

Jason 's smirk returns to his face and he gives a nod. "Appreciated, V. We still don't have a date set or anything, but I'll keep you up to date whenever we decide on all that." He sucks in a deep breath and turns on his heels to look down the hall once more. "Sooo this is the second floor." he says, poking the interface on the door to his right. "We put a rec room up here for people

to blow off a little steam. Watch TV. Hang out. That sort of thing." The door opens to reveal a rather large room, with a couch, a large screen against the wall, several tables, a bookshelf full of books, computer terminals and an air hockey table. "I would've rather had it downstairs, but we're too poor to be picky."

I... hope I can ask for a whole day off when that time comes.

Va'ynna walks up to beside him, looking into the room. "I... woudln't call any of this 'too poor'," she says. "And... you can just move the couch downstairs and use the... room with the big screen."

Jason gives a quick chuckle. "I like where your head's at. Linda would kill me if she came downstairs one day and saw me lounging around on the couch in the conference room, though." he frowns. He moves on down to the next door at the end of the hall and just gives it a quick nod. "This one is actually our apartment. Not sure if she's inside, so we'll just skip this part of the tour

for today. Don't wanna bother her. Before redoing the building, the second floor was entirely unfinished, so we didn't have much of a living space. This is much nicer." He glances back over at Va'ynna, "What about you? Anything specific you and Vicky are looking for in an apartment?"

Va'ynna follows him to the end of the hallway. "I... wanted something close, but... with more private space than a cramped bedroom," she says. "Victoria.... Well, she hasn't helped me look at all, so I just hope she's happy with what I find."

Jason gives a shrug and continues around the corner where two doors face one another, one on the right side of the hallway and one on the left. "She can't really complain much if she's not helping. I doubt it matters much to her anyway. She's used to cramped spaces on a ship." he says, approaching the door on the left. He gives the panel a tap and it opens to reveal a large room filled

with training equipment. "Our personal gym. Just a place for everyone to keep active without needing to go too far. We've got a whole lot of land surrounding the place, too. I'd like to get some sort of training course up out there eventually."

Va'ynna glances into the room. "So much to do here," she begins, "and still I've only seen two employees at work." She smiles slightly. "If I... was a mercenary, this... is the kind of place I'd want to work at," Va'ynna adds.

Jason brightens up a bit, but tries to downplay it with a simple nod. "We've got big things planned for the future. Gotta do this right if we want to attract the right kind of employees and clients, ya know?" Once she's done looking around, he moves on to the room across from the gym and opens the door. Rows of lockers line the room as well as a few doors leading to bathrooms. Another

opening is off to their left, leading to a shower room. Plenty of familiar names are emblazoned across the lockers. Renala T'Iavay. Steven Briggs. Victoria Steels. But many of the lockers are blank. "Place to store personal items while working a shift or out in the field. Nothing too fancy."

Va'ynna looks over the locker room before turning back to Jason. "Now all... this place needs is a kitchen for employee use," she says, "and they could... technically live here."

Jason gives a chuckle. "Maybe. But I'd rather not give them incentive to squat in our building." he jokes. He continues down the hall which ends in a catwalk overlooking the hangar. Aside from the door directly below the catwalk, it gives a nice view of the entire room. "Annnnd that pretty much covers it." he says. "So? Whaddya think? Impressed?" he brags lightheartedly.

Va'ynna follows him to the hangar, and walks up to the railing. "I said I... would work here if this was my line of work," she says with a smile. "Of course I'm impressed." She looks around the room while leaning over the railing.

Jason leans against the railing beside her and looks out at the dangly legs hanging out from beneath the shuttle. "Been a rough year for us, V." he says with a sigh before forcing a smile, "But I think that's all gonna change. We're finally getting everything back in order." He nods a couple of times, "It's gonna work out." he says, sounding as though he's trying to convince himself.

Va'ynna nods, and looks at some point on the opposite wall. "I... believe it," she says. "You have... already done great things with this place. And I... I can't imagine how things would have been without you and Redrock Agency around."

Jason glances straight down over the railing, allowing another smirk to tug at his lips. "That means a lot, V. I've-... let a whole lot of people down over the past few years. I'm just glad you're not one of them..."

Va'ynna nods. "I.... Your work sounds stressful, and dangerous," she says, "but... you're doing good work. I'm sure you... did your best for those people."

Jason remains quiet for a few moments. "Seems like my best is rarely good enough..." he sighs. He quickly puts on his best smile once more and glances back at Va'ynna, "Sorry. Not trying to be a moodkiller, just a bit stressed out with everything going on."

Va'ynna puts a hand on his shoulder. "That's... just how things are," she says. "It's... fine. I'm... always talking about my problems. Maybe too often."

Jason 's smile widens a bit and he lets out a sigh. "Well, thanks for listening all the same. Sometimes it starts to wear on me, ya know?" Without waiting for a response, he straightens up a bit, "But I should be happy. Like I said, everything is turning around. Building turned out great. I'm surrounded by great friends. And I'm marrying the love of my life." He nods to himself as he

ponders his situation. "Yeah. Yeah, it's going well." A slight frown returns for a split second, "Now to figure out what's going on with Renala...."
