It's around 10AM when Yan Sun is awoken by a number of firm prods from a boot through the sleeping bag. Despite the few thumps here and there from Jessica moving about, it's been a quiet morning outside of the occasional sound of distant birds chirping. The smell of breakfast is filling the small room. Eggs. Scrambled, the only way Jessica knows how to make them. Light filters through the barricaded window. It seems as if the blizzard stopped
#AbandonedPrefab – April 19, 2019
Jessica is seated against the wall beside the sleeping bag, poking at the eggs in the frying pan atop the portable stove with a fork. A bit of snow clings to her boot (And the side of the sleeping bag now that she's poked it a few times) and stains the bottom of her pantleg. Seems that she got a couple of cups from the truck after Yan Sun showed her inability to drink from a jug. They're simple, much like the rest of the cookware Kirill
had stashed away. Metal, dented from being dragged around through his many journeys across Aite. If Yan Sun were to glance through the doorway, she might notice a bit of snow caked to one of the shovels near the front door of the small abandoned home, indicating that Jessica has had a rather productive morning. Jessica is dressed in the same clothes she wore the previous day. Loose-fitting cargo pants and a long-sleeved grey
thermal shirt. That's the thing about trips like this. You can wash up all you want, but there's not a whole lot you can do to remain clean. Same dirty clothes for a few days in a row. Shoveling. Living out of the cab of a truck. At best you're only clean-ish. That dumb hat she found in the truck is right back on her head as well, sunglasses perched atop it, but her 'driving gloves' are on the floor beside her. "I'm going to
Yan Sun lets out an unhappy grunt as she's prodded, rolling away inside the sleeping bag without opening her eyes. "Guaaaaang... turn up the heeeat..." she whines, retreating into the sleeping bag in an attempt to shield her naked body from the cold.
The room has gotten significantly colder. The heater is still running, but there's only so much it can do with Jessica going in and out of the building a few times over the past hour and the small stove isn't quite enough to counter the additional cold air let inside.
Jessica cocks an eyebrow as she watches Yan Sun. "The heat is up." she assures. With a sigh, she shuts off the stove and shifts onto her knees. "See?" she asks as she yanks down the zipper and throws the sleeping bag open, big, evil grin spread across her face. "Is very warm, yes?"
Yan Sun lets out a loud squeal, flailing around in what is undoubtedly an utterly ridiculous display when cold winter air suddenly hits bare skin. She practically bounces up into a standing position, wide awake and stark naked as she hugs herself tightly while hopping lightly from foot to foot in a futile attempt at keeping her feet off the ice-cold floor. "Whyyyyyyyyyyyyy?!" she exclaims loudly, an unhappy, startled grimace on her face.
Jessica falls back into her previous position, bursting at the seams from laughter as she watches the display. She seems to be in no hurry to provide assistance in gathering Yan Sun's clothing for her. Instead, she lifts her fork, using it to point in Yan Sun's direction as some eggs dangle from it. "Your nipples are hard." she points out matter-of-factly before stuffing the bite of food into her mouth.
Yan Sun reflexively casts a glance down and then shoots the laughing Jessica a death-glare as she steps onto the sleeping bag, shivering. "Grrruh-I hate you!" she growls through gritted teeth, looking around for her clothes. She quickly grows increasingly flustered as she fails to find them in her bewildered state.
Yan Sun's clothing is, in fact, nowhere to be seen. It also seems as if Jessica has loaded the towels and cleaning supplies from the previous night up into the truck already. The open container of eggs are sitting beside the portable stove. They mostly resemble eggs from Earth. Just much larger. The shells are a light brown in color, and the scrambled eggs in the pan are a shade darker than one would expect. But otherwise? Mostly just looks
Jessica only seems to grow more amused by Yan Sun's increasing frustration. Misery is her favorite form of entertainment, after all. She skewers another spoonful of eggs and pokes them into mouth, still seeming in no hurry to assist. Eventually Yan Sun's frantic looking about causes her to furrow her brow and join her in glancing around the room. "What you are-..." she mutters and it takes her a few moments before it dawns on her just
Jessica what Yan Sun is even looking for. "Oh!" she hums, lifting up off the ground slightly. Being the ingenious survival expert she is, it seems she bundled the clothing into Yan Sun's jacket and zipped it up before using it as a cushion to sit on. The floor is hard. She shifts to the side to get at the jacket she's sitting on and tosses it on the ground at Yan Sun's feet. "You are welcome." she says pre-emptively.
Yan Sun shoots a brief scowl Jessica's way before bending down to snatch the jacket from the floor. Stiff hands fumble a bit but she manages to pull out her clothing, and immediately starts to step into her panties. She did bring extra underwear but it's in the truck, and right now she's mostly just concerned about getting dressed. The tanktop slips on quick. At least her clothes are a little warm from being used as a cushion. Jeans next,
Yan Sun grumpily stepping into each leg and tugging the slim pants up. It doesn't seem like Jessica is getting any 'Thank you.'
Jessica stuffs another bite of eggs into her mouth as she watches Yan Sun with great amusement. "Eat." she recommends with a small nod towards the frying pan full of eggs. "While you are being lazy and sleeping I am digging out the snow." she says, a knowing raise of her eyebrow accompanying her words. "So we can go as soon as we are done eating." She nudges one of the cups across the floor a bit, the large jug of water close by.
Yan Sun is in the middle of zipping up her hoodie when Jessica speaks, her grumpy expression faltering as she lets out an "...oh." She actually looks a little embarrassed as she sits down on the opened sleeping bag. "Uhm... thanks." she says quietly before putting on her socks. Once done she glances around for something to eat with.
Jessica has a second fork stuck into the cup on the floor. It's the same fork they ate steak with, so it's not the cleanest of utensils, but it's a fork. Jessica nudges the cup towards Yan Sun. "Mmm." she hums dismissively to Yan Sun's show of thanks. "These are tunga eggs." she says as she jabs her fork into the food. "You are eating these before, yes?" she asks.
Yan Sun is obviously still cold, rubbing her arms and legs for a bit as she listens. "Uh... I don't-... maybe? I guess I never really asked what the eggs at the Respite were..." she says uncertainly, scooting closer and grabbing the fork. She's briefly skeptical but hunger and the smell of the eggs overrides any concern over dirty utensils, and she reaches over to scoop some up and take a bite.
The eggs taste pretty similar to the Respite eggs. Maybe a bit more dry due to Jessica's lack of culinary skills. But they're nothing special.
Jessica gives a small raise of her brow. "Is good, yes?" she asks as she stabs another forkful of eggs into her mouth.
Yan Sun nods, reaching out scoop up some more egg. "Yeah, it's great. Thanks." she says, flashing Jessica a small smile before eating more. She seems appreciative and perhaps a little embarrassed that Jessica got up early to take care of things while she slept. Slightly dry scrambled eggs are the best breakfast when someone cooked them for you while you got to sleep in.
Jessica remains lazily perched against the wall as she silently picks at the eggs. She doesn't seem to be in much of a rush. A theme that continues well after breakfast has been consumed. Despite seemingly having woken up early to handle the snow blocking in the truck so they could get back on the road, she seems to be in no hurry to get moving again. She meanders as she packs their supplies back into the truck and makes sure everything
Jessica is tied down. The blizzard did a nice job of covering the large tracks left by a truck, violently whipping snow around so thoroughly that, outside of the path shoveled by Jessica, it's almost like they were never even there. Large dunes of snow litter the surrounding countryside. With the blizzard no longer obstructing their vision, a few identical prefabricated structures are within view, looking equally abandoned. A large
Jessica storehouse of sorts sits in the distance. At one point this must've been some sort of corporate farming operation. Now it's just a ghost of someone's failed business endeavor. One of many that litter the region given their proximity to Adrasteia. It's past noon by the time they're ready to get going. During their final pass over the room to make sure they didn't miss anything, Jessica spots the empty bottle of batarian ale,
Jessica prompting a small tug at the corner of her mouth as she steps over and lifts it up. "How many times you are shooting a gun in your life, kitty cat?" she asks as she studies the bottle.
Yan Sun does her best to pitch in with the packing up after getting her winterwear on and heading around the house for a bathroom break, although she mostly follows Jessica's lead with the packing. It continues to be quite clear that being on the road like this, and camping, are entirely new experiences to her, more so than Aite in general has been. Experiences that she's struggling a bit to adapt to, but she also seems to be enjoying the
chance to try something new. Jessica's question causes her eyebrows to furrow in confusion. "Uhm... wh-... a real one? Uh... never."
Jessica alternatively, seems to feel relatively comfortable on the road as they are. Camping. Traveling. It's not hard to see that she picked up a great deal from her time on the road with Kirill. Perhaps more than she even realizes. Sure, she's mostly just going through the motions, repeating the tasks she saw Kirill do. But, at the very least, it implies she paid attention. Yan Sun's comment causes her to reach back with her free
hand and lift the back of her jacket. Her unfolded Predator is stowed away in the hem of her pants, dangling precariously by the handle, threatening to get lost in her cargo pants. Hey, the safety is on. It's fine. She casts a glance Yan Sun's way as she rotates the pistol in her hand. "Then I am going to show you how." she says and it doesn't particularly sound like an offer.
Yan Sun blinks, eyeing the gun a bit uneasily. "Uh... oookay..." she says, gaze darting between Jessica and the weapon. "I'm not sure-..." she trails off, frowning a little as she ends up uncertain where to go with the sentence.
Jessica thrusts the pistol at Yan Sun, unwilling to allow her to finish her sentence with whatever she may come up with. "We are driving a long way to go still." she says. "And people are fucks. What if someone tries to stop us, mmm? I am needing to know that you will be able to shoot them in the face if you have to." she explains, seemingly of the mind that all it takes is an understanding of how to fire a gun in order to be properly
prepared to 'shoot someone in the face'. "Come on. Outside." she says, pressing the Predator into Yan Sun's chest.
Yan Sun fumbles to grap the gun, taking it in both hands, but Jessica's words prompt a more than a little horrified look. "Wha-... what? I'm not shooting anyone in the face!" she protests, staring at her while clutching the gun, still resting against her chest.
Jessica furrows her brow. "If someone is going to shoot you in your face then you are going to shoot them in their face first." she says matter-of-factly. "Or do you want to be shoot in your face?!" she asks, her mouth a hair quicker than her English.
Yan Sun leans back a little, blinking again. "Whb-.. how about nobody shoots anybody in the face?!" she exclaims, although part of her is aware that not everyone on Aite can be reasoned with or avoided. If there'd been doubt of that, what happened with Bishop and Lucas had been a hell of a reality check for her. She's pretty sure that's a memory that'll stick with her. Unfortunately.
Jessica gives a roll of her eye, drawing in a sharp breath through her nose. "Mmm. Of course. And then we can all hug and fuck, yes? And maybe then we can sing a song together. Is what you want?" she asks, studying Yan Sun with a small tilt of her head. "For us to sing a song with the people trying to kill us? Mmm?"
Yan Sun frowns at being talked down to, glancing off to the side. "I get the point..." she mutters, nodding a little in acceptance and looking towards the door.
Jessica doesn't seem too bothered by the small exchange. She's lived here nearly her entire life. Accepting that it's dangerous is just a part of existing here. She gives a small nod of her head towards the door. "Besides. Is only going to be a bottle." she says, hefting the empty bottle of batarian ale in her hand. "Today. Maybe faces for later." she adds, obviously just trying to further poke at Yan Sun.
Yan Sun glances briefly at the bottle but offers no comment as she heads outside, holding the gun carefully.
Jessica follows Yan Sun outside. Aside from the path shoveled by Jessica, it's mostly just a field of snow outside in every direction. Jessica shuffles through the knee-high snow with a bit of difficulty, dragging a path in her wake, to jam the bottle into a mound of white before returning to Yan Sun. "Okay. You are going to shoot the bottle." she explains, patting off the snow clinging to her cargo pants. Truly the best of instructors.
Yan Sun looks to the side at Jessica with raised eyebrow. "Yeah, I-... I kinda got that..." she says, before looking back toward the bottle and raising the pistol. She seems a little caught off-guard by the weight but she doesn't say that. She also doesn't seem quite sure where to put her other hand - her grip ends up rather awkward. "Where, uh... which one's the safety...?" she asks, pointing at the switches on the side of the gun and
Jessica steps in close beside Yan Sun, a bit of a grin on her face as she watches Yan Sun awkwardly handle the firearm. "Is this one." she says, reaching out with her left hand to grip the pistol and ensure it doesn't swing her way as she taps her right index finger against a small lever along the left side of the weapon. Her grin widens and she gives a small roll of her eye. "Like this." she says, stepping up behind Yan Sun and using
her boot to kick Yan Sun's feet apart a bit more. She huddles up against Yan Sun's from behind, chin on Yan Sun's shoulder, and reaches around her, placing her hands atop Yan Sun's to try and help her find a more comfortable grip. Left hand supporting the right, just as she was taught. "And if you are wanting to be cool? Is like this." she explains, drawing Yan Sun's left hand away with her own and urging Yan Sun to tilt the
weapon sideways. The most important of information. She makes a few gunshot sound effects with her mouth and emulates the recoil of the gun by jerking Yan Sun's hand a bit.
Yan Sun , a little stiffly, adjusts in accordance with Jessica's guidance. The final bit elicits a slightly uneasy snort. It's obvious she's a little nervous. She reverts to the previous, proper grip, apparently not concerned with 'being cool'. "Do I-... uh, do I need to sync it to my omni-tool or something...?"
Jessica gives a small shake of her head. "Not for just shooting." she says, seemingly uninterested in the prospect of showing Yan Sun anything too advanced. She withdraws her grip from around Yan Sun's hands, but remains in place, chin propped against her shoulder. Both of her arms come around Yan Sun's midsection, giving her a squeeze from behind. "Now you use the things on top. Just look at them and aim at the bottle."
Yan Sun nods a couple of times, looking at the gun uncertainly. "But there's-... I mean, there's no reticle. I don't-..." she furrows her eyebrows as she realizes what Jessica means. "...oh. Iron sights. Old-school..." Seems like she'd been expecting a digital smart-targeting system. She lifts the gun a little higher, her stance shifting slightly against Jessica as she does. "Okay... yeah, I can... I can do this..." she mutters to herself,
Jessica snorts as Yan Sun runs through things aloud. She remains patient as Yan Sun attempts to line up her shot........... for a moment. "You are running out of time!" she warns, giving Yan Sun another squeeze. "If you don't shoot the bottle's face, then the bottle is going to shoot yours!" she continues through her grin, as if attempting to motivate her to take the shot. "You are not going to have all of this time for your shooting if
Yan Sun is quick to squeeze the trigger as Jessica starts to stress her... or rather, she tries to, but it doesn't budge. An embarrassed look crosses her face as she wordlessly reaches over to turn the safety off. She lines up the shot again, or tries to anyway, and fires. The shot goes high, hitting nothing but snow which sprays around the impact. Despite trying to brace herself the sound and recoil cause her to flinch and jump a little in
Jessica allows a snort to slip out at Yan Sun's failure to disable to safety first. When the shot rings out, her arm snaps forward as Yan Sun begins to fumble the weapon, as if readying herself to try and catch it. When Yan Sun manages to maintain her grip on it, Jessica lets out a breath. "Okay! Don't do that!" she orders, more of a worried reaction than any real anger that evolves into a nervous snicker. Her arm returns to its
previous position around Yan Sun's waist. "The shooting is maybe not so bad." She tilts her head a bit, felt through the shifting of her chin against Yan Sun. "Is maybe not so good either. But hold on to the gun when you shoot it! This is how my brother's friend shoots himself one time."
Yan Sun flinches again and is quick to exclaim "Sorry! Sorry!" with a grimace. She doesn't exactly seem encouraged by the final little tidbit, but she certainly grips the gun harder. Her entire body seems to have stiffened in response. She tries to regain her aim, and fires off another shot! It... misses. Too low. Another spray of snow as the shot rings out, right in front of the bottle this time. Knowing what to expect she doesn't jump this
time, or fumble the gun, but she still flinches, eyes closing and jerking back a little into Jessica.
Jessica allows a small smile to cross her features as Yan Sun gets closer. "Better. But now I am thinking that maybe you are needing some distraction." she says, widening her own stance slightly. "Because shit fucks are not going to just stand there in the snow and wait for you to shoot at their faces. You are going to be scared. Because you are a pussy." she's quick to add, lest Yan Sun think she's speaking from experience. Because,
of course, she doesn't get scared. She slips her hand under the bottom of Yan Sun's jacket and digs it beneath her shirt, smile widening as she attempts to fluster her. "Nervous and shaking. Maybe not able to think so good." she continues to explain, her fingertips walking across Yan Sun's skin. "Definitely unable to think so good." she decides before adding with a snicker, "You already do not think so good." She pokes her
tongue out, flicking it against Yan Sun's neck, attempting to suppress the snicker threatening to accompany it, well aware at how easy it is to get in Yan Sun's head. "Breathe. Aim. Shoot their faces." she instructs before blowing softly against the wetness left behind by her tongue.
Yan Sun seems a little confused at first, turning her head in an attempt to glance at Jessica, but failing to do so she starts to aim again, but she's quickly derailed as Jessica begins messing with her. Predictably, a flustered half-laugh, half-exhale sounds as her arms lower a bit. "C-.. Jessica... come on... this isn't-..." She lets out a disgruntled noise and tries to take aim and ignore Jessica. It doesn't go great. An involuntary
shiver runs through her body as Jessica blows air against the spot she licked, just as she pulls the trigger, and the shot doesn't hit anywhere near the target. She utters a muttered curse under her breath, eyebrows furrowing in annoyance.
Jessic allows a muffles snicker to escape. "That was terrible." she offers her observation, shifting in place a bit. "And now he is pissed because you are shooting at him." she continues, her hand slowly traveling further up beneath Yan Sun's shirt, across her belly, up to her ribcage. "He is coming right-..." she presses an open mouthed kiss against the side of Yan Sun's neck, her tongue lingering, "...at..." and a second one that she
drags higher, "...you." She nudges Yan Sun's beanie upwards, displacing it with her nose so she can press a third wet kiss against her earlobe.
Yan Sun frowns and lifts the pistol again, looking increasingly determined to get a hit. She tries her best to suppress another shiver in response to Jessica's interference, but she can't help her belly squirming under her touch. She takes a deep breath. Focus. Aim. Ignore her. Crap! The kiss on her ear causes her to squirm and yank her shoulder up, entirely negating the time she spent lining up the sights. At least she manages to not pull
Jessica prods at Yan Sun's earlobe with her tongue. "What is the matter? Mmm?" she hums through a breath pressed against the side of Yan Sun's head, a big smile audible in her voice. Her hand climbs higher, across Yan Sun's breast. "You are running out of time, kitty cat." she continues her taunts, now starting with slow, playful gropes.
Yan Sun takes another deep breath, pointedly ignoring Jessica, staring down the sights with furrowed eyebrows. Ignore her. Ignore her. To her credit she manages to keep her cool pretty well this time, but whether due to lack of focus or just poor aim, her next shot misses too. It's close, almost grazing the bottle, but it's not quite there. Her frown just deepens, and she adjusts her grip a little, staring the bottle down. Just one more
Jessica snickers into Yan Sun's ear. "Now you are in trouble." she warns through gravely voice. She slowly traces the outer rim of Yan Sun's with her tongue, up and then down. "He is almost on top of you. A big knife is in his hand." she explains, pinching Yan Sun's left nipple between her middle and index fingers as she does. A weak sensation that gets harder by the moment. "What you are going to do? Mmm?" The arm wrapped around Yan
Yan Sun draws in a breath through her nose, glaring at the bottle. She's just started taking aim again when Jessica pinches her nipple, causing her to squirm and accidentally squeeze the trigger in the process. Her eyes widen and she recoils a little in surprise at the unintended shot, and the bottle explodes into a shower of glass.
Jessica's already pre-emptively snickering when the shot rings out, but the sudden explosion of glass causes her to lift her head from the crook of Yan Sun's neck, brow furrowed in confusion as she examines the shattered bottle. Her hand merely lingers across Yan Sun's breast, her intent to flustering completely forgotten. "Wha-... You shooted the bottle in his face!" she exclaims, straightening up a bit and returning her gaze to the
Yan Sun just stares at the exploded bottle in disbelief, arms still outstretched, aiming the gun right at it. Jessica's words cause a quiet chuckle to slip out, a grin crossing her lips. "I did it!" she exclaims, seemingly not daring to move aside from a brief glance Jessica's way.
Jessica's grip around Yan Sun's waist loosens and her shoulders bounce a bit as her own laughter escapes. The hand across Yan Sun's chest slowly lowers until it's resting atop Jessica's other arm. For the moment, she merely joins Yan Sun in disbelief, gaze fixed to what's left of the bottle jutting out of the snow as the laughter dies down.
Yan Sun slowly starts to relax, letting out a long breath as she lowers her arms. "Yes! Screw you, bottle!" she exclaims, apparently emboldened by her success, unintended as it may be. The grin on her face is short-lived as another shot rings out from the downward-pointed pistol, hitting the snow near them, and she freezes with a gasp, eyes wide. She doesn't dare move an inch.
Jessica snickers once more at Yan Sun's exclamation, but the sudden shot that echoes throughout the surrounding countryside causes her to nearly jump in place. She remains motionless for the moment, gaze slowly traveling to the small chip in the dense snow. Her hand moves from Yan Sun's stomach to her forearm and quickly travels down it until she reaches her wrist. "No more gun for you!" she announces as she pries it away and steps
aside. Facing Yan Sun, she takes a few, slow steps backwards as she examines the Predator and puts the safety back on. "How you are sooo bad at everything?!" she asks, seeming genuinely dumbfounded. There's still a semblance of her previous smile, so it's not anger. Just genuine confusion. "Howwww?!" she asks as she reaches back and places the pistol back into the hem of her cargo pants.
Yan Sun flinches slightly as the gun is pried out of her hand, remaining frozen in place. "Sorry..." she says with a wince, looking Jessica's way. Her shoulders slump with a sigh and she turns towards her, but her movements remain a little awkward, arms stiff at her sides as she stands in place.
Jessica merely watches Yan Sun for a moment, left eyebrow raised. She seems to fight against her instinct to chastize her for the accidental discharge, instead casting another glance towards the destroyed bottle and drawing in a deep breath. It was pretty impressive. Of course she has no idea just how accidental it was. As she looks back to Yan Sun, she begins to back up towards the truck. She doesn't acknowledge the apology. Instead,
she repeats her previous observation of: "Your nipples are hard." before turning in place and continuing towards the truck.
Yan Sun gains a flustered frown, brushing a hand down the front of her jacket and tugging the hem of it down a bit. "Shut up..." she mutters before hurrying after Jessica towards the truck, still a little rattled.
Jessica snickers softly under her breath, leading the way down the path she cleared back to the truck on the side of the house. Once she reaches it, she takes a seat on the front wheel well and reaches out, gripping Yan Sun's jacket sleeve as she nears and tugging her over. "I am thinking... We could stay here for maybe another night." she suggests with a shrug, passing a glance over to the house. "Mmm?" She gives a small wiggle of her
brows, one having much more movement than the other due to the placement of her burns. "Is not like we are needing to be back by a certain time." Given the fact she's been dragging ass all morning (Which they just spent the better part of packing up all of the things they'd need to unpack if they were to stay another night), it seems suspiciously like she's stalling.
Yan Sun lets herself be tugged over, standing between Jessica's legs and resting her hands idly on her knees as she studies her. Her words cause her eyebrows to furrow in confusion and glance over towards the abandoned cabin. "Wha-... why...?" she asks as she looks back to Jessica. "We literally just packed everything up."
Jessica gives a somewhat defensive shrug of her shoulders as she looks up at Yan Sun through furrowed brows, but she's quick to try and hide that defensiveness away. "What you are meaning 'why'?" she hums. Her left hand searches for Yan Sun's right and her gaze rests on their hands as she idly taps her fingers against the back of Yan Sun's. "We had fun last night, yes?" she says, glancing back up at Yan Sun through a grin. "We could
have more fun, mmm? Alllll day and all night." she suggests through a weak snicker, brushing her tongue along the front of her teeth. But beneath the flirting, it's not hard to see that something is bothering her.
Yan Sun 's confused frown remains, a bit of concern slipping into it as well as she studies Jessica, undistracted by the flirting. She offers a small, gentle smile. "Sure..." she says with a quiet, soft snicker. "But..." her gaze falls away briefly and a quiet sigh slips out. "...we're on this trip for a reason, right?" she asks softly as she looks back to Jessica's face, moving her hand to grasp hers and give it a squeeze.
Jessica continues to study their hands until hers is taken, causing her to meet Yan Sun's gaze. Her expression shifts. It's only for a moment, but her concern shows through. Her eye darts away from Yan Sun's and she swallows, a ghost of that confident grin making a return. "Mmm..." she hums in reluctant agreement before falling silent. She remains seated on the wheelwell for a number of moment, gaze turned downward as she works
through... whatever it is going on inside of her head. Drawing in a deep breath she stands up from the large wheel well, giving Yan Sun's hand a brief squeeze before releasing it. "I'm driving today." she announces. "You already almost shoot us today. I do not need for you to drive us into a river, too." she taunts as she starts towards the driver's side door before adding in a quick, "Slut."
Yan Sun lets out a quiet snicker as she steps back, a hint of embarrassment crossing her face as she scratches her neck. She heads over to the door, opening it and hopping inside the truck, which is quickly becoming quite familiar. "I thought I did alright for my first time yesterday..." she comments quietly.
Jessica begins the process of starting up the behemoth of a truck once she's inside and the door is closed behind her. Most importantly, the heat is turned on. And cranked. "We are still alive. Barely." she mutters her assessment through a grin as she distractedly goes through the motions. She passes a smug glance Yan Sun's way as she starts to pull out. Though it seems before they're ready to set out she has something else to take care
Yan Sun digs her hands into the pockets of her jackets while she waits for the car to heat up. She furrows her eyebrows slightly as Jessica pulls up to the building, glancing her way in confusion. "Uh... what are you doing...?"
Jessica fishes her omni-tool out of the pocket of her jacket and pokes through the interface briefly, casting a scowl Yan Sun's way as she tries to work. "What do you think I am doing? Mmm?" she asks before turning her gaze out the window. It quickly becomes obvious that she's taking a picture. After that's been handled she swings the omni-tool Yan Sun's way, snapping a couple of unwarned pictures of her in turn. "Pictures." she
Yan Sun smirks slightly, settling into her seat again and watching Jessica as she snaps some photos. She's caught off-guard as the omni-tool turns her way, a snicker slipping out, but she manages to get her tongue out for the last picture. "Give me some warning, asshole!" she exclaims through a laugh.
Jessica raises a brow while she examines the holographic interface, a smirk tugging at the corner of her mouth as she looks over the final one. It spreads back into a full grin and she shuts her omni-tool down, stowing it away on the dashboard before rolling up the window. "You haven't earned warnings." she hums idly. She shifts against her seat which causes a wince and a low, "Gah..." One hand on the steering wheel, she reaches back
with the other and pulls the Predator free. As her thumb grazes over an area near the safety it snaps shut and she leans over to hand it off to Yan Sun to stow away, gaze remaining on the windshield as they set off through a field of white, dotted with dunes of snow that almost resemble sand. "Don't shoot yourself." she teases dryly.
Yan Sun carefully takes the gun with a quiet grumble, opening the glovebox to put it away in the interest of avoiding any more accidents. She draws in a long breath as she relaxes in her seat afterward, gaze scanning across the field of snow ahead of them. A small smile lingers on her lips for a while.
