#RedrockAgency – March 10, 2016
Vasquez enters the building, still fully geared up, having neglected to pack for an off-world trip. She makes her way down the corridor, looking rather tired. She stops by Jason's office, pressing the panel and taking a peek in side once the door opens, to see if he's there.
The office is empty. It's fully unpacked now, though. His desk has his terminal atop it and a photo on display of Jason and Vasquez. On the wall behind the desk is another photo, this one showing Jason with Tarlon. Off to Vasquez' right, Jason's Revenant is mounted on the wall and a large case is mounted just beneath it with a spot for his armor. The only other thing in the room is a small box beside the desk.
Vasquez takes a quick glance around the office before letting out a quiet grunt and heading for the stairs, making her way up them slowly, with heavy steps.
Jason stirs a bit at the sound of boots on the steps. He's become quite a light sleeper given everything that's happened over the past few years, naturally. He lets out a groan and shifts a bit in bed.
Vasquez stomps onward towards the bedroom. She lifts up the Confetti Maker to acces the holo-interface, locking the weapon down before dropping it to the floor with a loud clank and heading up to the door, pressing a palm against the interface.
Jason shifts a bit more at the loud noises and sits up in bed groggily as the door slides open. "Linda...?" he calls out, one eye still closed and a bit of bedhead going on.
Vasquez enters the room, giving Jason a small smile, although she nearly loses it as her eyes briefly travel to the anchorings for his arms. "Hey." As soon as she's in the room she leans back against the wall and takes off her headset, leaning her head back as well and starting to unbuckle armor pieces, starting with the arms.
Jason blinks a few times and tosses off the covers before swinging his legs over the side of the bed. "Hey." he returns, using the palm of his hand to rub at his eyes for a few moments. He's only wearing a pair of black pants. "How-..." he begins but a yawn begins to make its escape. He brings a hand up to his mouth, muttering through the last half of the yawn, "...howdidit go?"
Vasquez removes her chestplate, letting it fall to the floor before moving on to the leg plating. "I'd call it a win. All things considered one person in the hospital isn't too bad. Could've gone a lot worse going in blind like that..."
Jason nods a couple times and sucks in a deep breath through his nose, still struggling to wake up. "Mmhmm. Sounds good." He reaches up and rubs at his neck a bit as he continues to speak, "How did it feel to be back out in the field?"
Vasquez stares up at the ceiling as she considers the question. "It... was good. I know I can't go on every mission, but it's good to be there... especially now. Gotta keep everyone in line until they get a feel for working with each other." She leans down to start taking her boots off. "And it felt good to have the Confetti Maker again." She adds with a faint smirk. "To... feel in
