Sioria smirks at Ehanis. "Its all practice. Believe it or not, that's the sort of thing they teach us at Tauros. 'Don't let anything get between you and a quick defensive deployment.'" That last bit she puts on a deep, authoritarian, but mocking voice. She begins heading off in the direction her blue skinned friend had noted when she sees the hooded figure running towards them. They were

short, but they seemed to be gunning it. Sioria instinctively places herself between the stranger and Ehanis, her hands to either side. She tried to look casual, but it was evidently clear she was ready to defend herself in a heart beat. "...Left, right...?" she asks, still trying to act casual. "Right, left."

Ehanis shrugs. "Left, of course," she answers the turian. While she didn't view the stranger as a threat, she has already emitting a biotic shimmer around herself and her left hand rests on the holstered pistol's grip. She wasn't in armor, so if the stranger turned out to be more than they seemed, she would have to act quickly.

As the figure gets nearer, she looks up, releaving beneath the hood that is a young asari of dark-blue skin and white markings. At about five meters before left to reach the path, she stumbles and falls forwads. She is not getting up, however, for an asari in blue heavy armor decloaks with a boot on her back. She is aiming an M-15 Vindicator rifle down at her. "Kids these days," she mutters. "Never listening to their

elders." She is either unaware of Ehanis and Sioria, or ignoring them.

Sioria watches her pass by, trying to figure out what was so off putting about her. "False alarm..." she mutters quietly to herself before turning to Ehanis. She cracks a smile and nods in the direction of the lake before she hears the Asari behind them speak. She spins again and raises an eyebrow. "Well, what's this now..." she asks, frowning deeply. "Hey!" she calls over. "You mind

not aiming a rifle at a kid? Its a kinda shitty thing to do."

Ehanis is about to answer when the armored asari shows up. "Fight someone your own size," she says as she sidesteps into view beside the turian and hurls a biotic throw towards the asari.

The asari looks over to the pair without lifting her weapon up. "Of course, what was I thinking," she says sarcastically. The throw fails to catch her unaware, and she's already used her biotic to dodge out of its way before Ehanis threw it. "None of you are 'my own size'?" Her rifle is now aimed between the two of them. "I'll be generous. You can walk away now, and I promise I won't shoot you in the back."

The young asari stays where she is, covering her head. She's speaking, but none of her words come through clear enough for the pair (or their translators) to hear.

Sioria tuts slightly as she looks over her shoulder. "I think you pissed her off." she says, not too phased by the rifle being pointed at her. She looks back to the Asari, hands raised slightly. "And now you're pointing a gun at me. Again, a shitty thing to do. Now, lets put the gun down and talk like rational adults. I mean, come on, we're not armed, your little friend there is well

and truly under boot, nobody's going anywhere." She gives her a small smile. "Whaddya say?" She is careful not to make any sudden movements.

Ehanis nods, the biotic shimmer soon returning around her person. She doesn't do anything, however, leaving the turian to lead this mission. Ehanis has already done enough damage to sour this already fragile confrontation. If only her throw didn't miss its mark....

The asari gives a humorless chuckle. "You don't get it, do you?" she says, not calming down at all. "Not that I expect you to." She sighs. "Long story short, I stand to lose everything," the asari continues, bobbing her head towards the cowering child. "Unless I... correct her mistakes."

"And correcting them involves a gun to the back?" Sioria asks, eyeridge raised. "I bet that was you shooting earlier too. Not a great idea firing off a long range assault rifle in a public place, eh?" she sighs and shakes her head. "Look buddy, I don't care how chaotic or or long the story is, all I'm concerned about is you pointing a gun at me. I've got no quarrels against you other than

that."

The asari shakes her head and lowers her gun to the ground between them. "Quarrel solved," she says. "Now turn around and get the fuck out of my sight before I change my mind."

Sioria lowers her hands and smiles. "Quarrel solved." she says, and looks to Ehanis. She hums for a second, then looks to the Asari again. "Not any of our business, but you got a short version of that story? Gotta admit, pointing a gun at a kid's got me curious." she says. Damn, if only she was wearing her holster on the outside instead of in her jacket...

Ehanis raises an eyebrow. "Are you just going to let her...?" she hisses. "The bosses are going to have our heads if they find out." She hated how powerless she felt. The other asari had every advantage in this situation, and Ehanis saw no good outcome either way. She may or may not be pushing the turian to make this tough decision.

The asari raises her weapon for a second, then lowers it again. "Get moving!" she says. "I don't have all day."

Sioria raises a hand to the Asari. "Ehanis, I don't like it, but she's holding all the cards." she says, quietly. "I've got to get at least an ace on my side before I can call anything." She turns back to the asari. "Alright, we're going." She turns and gives Ehanis a wink. Her hand slowly slips between the buttons on her jacket. "Cover me." she whispers. She yanks out her predator pistol

and whisks around

((*Replace previous post)) Sioria raises a hand to the Asari. "Duck and cover me." she whispers.

She yanks out her predator pistol and whisks around and ducks, aiming it at the Asari. "Now." she says, calmly. "Put down the gun, and tell me what's going on." she says with an authorative tone, making sure the Asari knew she wasn't fucking around. "And you on the ground, don't go anywhere. As far as I'm concerned, you're both responsible for this. I mean come on, shooting up a forest

with public access?"

Ehanis raises an eyebrow as she listens to the instruction, and awaits for the signal. She wasn't going to let the report describe her and Sioria as cowards, give more ammunition to Ilyna. She nods and gets into a crouch in front of the turian and envelops herself in a personal barrier field, being the best cover either one of them can get without offering the asari ample time to gun the turian down.

The asari laughs at the two unarmed figures, raising her weapon and firing at Ehanis barrier to show that she also isn't fucking around. "Oh come on," she groans. "I'll kill you all if I have to."

Sioria growls slightly. "Alright. You asked for it." She aims down the sight of the pistol carefully, calling on her training as a markswoman, and fires back at the woman, aiming for the Asari's dominant shoulder, hoping to injure her just enough to make her drop the weapon, but not enough where it won't cause permanent damage. "Get down on the ground, NOW!" she yells, a distinct growl

punctuating her words.

Ehanis flinches as the bullets impact her barrier, but she pours more into it. "I'm not sure this was a good idea," she mutters, "but keep shooting."

The bullet pings off the asari's shield, throwing her aim off. "Now you asked for it!" The retaliation is harsh, however, and she starts firing burts of Vindicator fire towards the pair. The first ones miss, but it doesn't take long before her aim is corrected and she starts pelting Ehanis' barrier.

Ehanis groans as she keeps pouring energy into it. "I can't hold this up forever."

Sioria growls intently. Shields. Of course. "Give me all you've got." she says to Ehanis. "I'm taking this bitch down, need to close the gap. I move, you boost." She fires off as much as she can in the hopes to stagger the woman at least enough for her to close the gap before Ehanis' shield fails. Should she be successful in throwing the woman's aim off even a little, she'd leap forward

as quick as possible, grab the vindicator and collapse it, before elbowing the Asari in the face. She had to admit, the Asari had a good choice in weapon, Sioria being a Vindicator user herself. This might be her downfall though, as the Turian knew the weapon inside and out, even its clip size, which she'd been counting.

Her clip runs out just as she managed to take Ehanis barrier down and fired another burst at the asari, and the turian's fire hinders her reloading. She was aiming for a headshot, but the turian's suppression had worked somewhat in throwing her aim off. The turian manages to take her rifle from her, because she lets go of it, but the elbow in the face fails when the asari uses her biotics to dodge backwards. "I'll see

your back soon enough, turian!," she taunts. A biotic field surrounds her right hand, and shortly after the asari child starts levitating. The armored asari is walking backwards while using her telekinetic field.

Ehanis is hit in her left shoulder after the barrier collapses due to her not 'feeding' it enough to keep up with the vindicator fire. She eventually gets her barrier up again, forcing herself to keep going despite the intense pain.

The thermal clip she was loading into the gun was dropped on the snowy ground below, close to the empty one.

Sioria quickly grabs the fresh thermal clip, rams it home into the rifle she got away from the Asari, and points it at her, aimed down range. "Nuh uh. You stop, drop, and thank your armoured ass I'm merciful." She keeps her in her sights as she speaks to Ehanis. "Ehanis, you okay? I've got some medigel loaded, take it." Her omnitool activates, ready to administer, but she can't take it

away from the rifle's grip. "Now. Mystery shooter. You're gonna tell me the full story, and tell me who your little friend is."

Ehanis lets go of the barrier. "I'm fine," she lies through gritted teeth as she cluches her injured shoulder, which is bleeding quite a bit. "Kill her!"

The hostile asari growls and throws the levitated child, but the improvised projectile misses the turian and instead crashes hard into the watchtower's supports. The young asari lands on a pile of snow at the end of the path with a grunt, groaning in pain. "Don't cross my path again," she says. In the midst of the chaos, she cloaks and starts running off towards the east.

Sioria follows the footsteps in the snow and fires two above them, hoping to hit something. She feels a large sense of relief knowing Ehanis was okay, she would have felt incredibly guilty if she wasn't. "Go check on the kid," she says in a low voice as she starts stalking forwards, eyes watching the direction the Asari ran off in, just in case she came back. "Bitch... who does she think

she is..." she sighs heavily, not taking her eyes away from their surroundings as she approaches the kid, covering her friend. "I really hope we aren't waist deep in something smelly now..."

Some of Sioria's shots connet with her shields, but it's hard to really tell as she gets further away. A concussion grenade is dropped about 15 meters from their position, kicking up snow and shaking trees around it to drop theirs. It won't harm anyone, but it does provide cover for the cloaked asari to disappear further into the forest.

The young asari is trying to stand up, but the pain makes her give up. She's trying to speak to the approaching turian, but the pained voice is hard to discern. Not to mention that she's lying face down in the snow pile. The English words 'call' and 'help' are the only ones that she manages to utter clearly enough.

Ehanis stands up and starts walking towards the tower. "I could still use some medi-gel," she says, her right hand still gripping her shoulder, blood seeping through the gaps in her gloves.

Sioria looks from side to side slowly, scanning the perimeter after the snow settles. "...yeah... she's gone..." she mutters, quietly. "But I reckon we're gonna cross paths again. That'll be fun." She lowers the gun, but doesn't collapse it, just in case. Instead, she holds it in one hand, finger well away from the trigger, and activates her omnitool, and the medigel setting. She places

it on Ehanis' shoulder and administers it. "Sorry, I shouldn't have pushed you so hard. Should've just tried to drop here then and there." She sighs heavily and looks to the kid. "We should call for medical backup. Any Redrock medics on call?"

Ehanis took off her jacket and ripped the shoulder parts of the layers beneath off so that medi-gel can be administered. "It could have gone much worse," she groans. "A lot worse." The exposure does make her shiver, however, and she's quick to put the jacket back on afterwards. She breathes a sigh of relief as the medi-gel's aenesthetics start doing their thing. "No idea," she says. "Call one of the bosses,

they'll know what to do."

The asari child remain where she is. "Help!" she calls out. It's hard to tell how (and if) she's injured, but that throw must have caused some blunt trauma
