Ehanis is in a mostly empty shared room. The asari is wired up to a few monitoring devices for the time being. She's sat up in the bed, clumsily prodding at the omni-tool on the bed infront of her with her non-dominant right hand. Her left arm is in a sling to keep minimal pressure on her shoulder. Despite the pain being managable, she looks absolutely miserable.

"Knock knock," a familliar voice says, its owner leaning against the door frame. She smiles at her friend and walks inside with a hand behind her back, making sure not to disturb anyone else who might be in the room with them, and heads straight for Ehanis' bed. "How're you holding up, Blue?" she asks in a hushed tone. "Sorry I didn't come by earlier, they were pretty stubborn about visiting

hours." She brings her hidden hand forward, revealing a small stuffed earth-bear. "I'd get you flowers, but they're way outta season."

Ehanis snorts. "I'm feeling great, don't you see?" she says while shutting off her omni-tool. That message can wait. When she sees the stuffed animal, she tilts her head. "Not to mention how terrible an idea giving me something that can die is," she says matter-of-factly. "No idea what that's supposed to look like though." While she's happy to not be left along with her thoughts, she's not doing a good job actually

showing it.

Sioria snorts as she sits back, "Hey, its what they do in the movies, right?" she asks before looking at the bear. She looks it over and shrugs. "Some Earth beast, I thought it was cute. Hey, its yours now, might make you feel a little better." She sets it on the bedside table and leans back again. "Glad to see you're still in one piece, 'tude and all." The Turian smirks as she crosses one

leg over the other. "But really though, E. Sorry for what happened."

Ehanis reaches over to put the omni-tool next to the stuffed bear. "I wouldn't look to movies for advice to... anything," she says with a shake of her head. She looks towards the turian. "At least I'm alive, that's something," she says. "What about the kid? Did she make it?"

Sioria shrugs a little, slinging one arm over the back of the chair and tilting it back slightly. "Yeah, she made it. I didn't get any details, but she survived to get up to mischief for another day." she says with a widening smile. "I don't think we've had much head-way on the assaulter, but we're getting to it, I bet." Her smile grows a little wider again. "And if I can't look to movies

about all my advice, how would I know that not looking at explosions while walking away is cool?"

Sioria shrugs a little, slinging one arm over the back of the chair, then tilts back slightly. "Yeah, the kid made it, but I don't have the details. She's gonna be alright to cause mischief for another day." Her chair tilts forward again as she leans forward. "We had contact with the attacker again... of the blam blam kind. She shot up the Respite, but the situation was contained. The attacker

and Aylena were the only injured, but they made it out." she sighs as she hangs her head. "Kinda wish I was there to help, but what can ya do. Can't be everywhere at once."

Ehanis frowns. "That bitch won't be making it out anymore if I see her again," she mutters. She gives a long frustrated sigh as she looks down to her arm in the sling. "This sucks," she says. "I was going to get time off after the shit on Rakhana, and I was going to enjoy it. But nooo, my luck was that I was going to have another month of recovery, and 'Lyna is going to be annoying if I don't follow the medical advice

completely." She takes a deep breath, only to continue speaking, "I'm going to go insane if I have to sit at home for most of the time without anything fun to do... or alcohol."

Sioria hmmms briefly before putting her feet up on the end of Ehanis' bed. "Well, I mean, you won't be completely alone. I'm always just a call away." she says as she makes an omnitool gesture. "

(*Replace previous post) Sioria hmmms briefly before putting her feet up on the end of Ehanis' bed. "Well, I mean, you won't be completely alone. I'm always just a call away." she says as she makes an omnitool gesture. "I've got all the time in the world when I'm not running errands for Red Rock, and I can get pretty bored. I'll always be down to hang out, watch movies, play video games, that

sorta stuff." The Turian rests her hands ontop of her head and she leans back again. "Probably sneak you in some vodka..." Her voice is quiet with that last bit, and she even slips in a wink. "A little, at least. Can't hinder your recovery."

Ehanis raises an eyebrow. "Fuck, no, I don't need another reason to avoid talking to the bosses," she says. "When I'm out, though..." She winks back without elaborating further. "I'll come by a few times," she says. "Do you still live in that huge place of yours?"

Sioria shakes her head with a small sigh. "Nah, lease ran out and I couldn't afford to keep it up." she begins explaining, her feet shifting on the bed slightly. "Redrock didn't want it for anything either, so I had to move out. Which, unsurprisingly, was pretty easy considering I don't own much. I did pretty much the whole thing solo." The Turian lowers an arm from her head and flexes. "The

couch was easy. Anyway, I'm in a small place now, one bedroom... well, three rooms total, really. Bedroom, bathroom, livingrroom-dash-livingroom-dash-kitchen. Its alright, neighbours are quiet."

Ehanis nods and looks back up the turian. "Sounds cozy," she says, "and less of a nightmare to maintain." She frowns. "Sorry that I couldn't help with that," she says. "First it was the grenade that blew up near my ass, then the Rakhana job, and now this crap." She slightly lifts her sling to emphasize her point.

Sioria waves a hand and shakes her head. "Don't worry about it, if I needed help, I would have asked someone at the agency. I was fine!" Her smile makes it obvious that it was more than okay. "Now what I do need help with is a house warming. Sure its cozy, but its not home until I've had someone over, is it?"

Ehanis raises an eyebrow. "If that's how you define home...," she says with a nod, "then we better make it your home." She looks towards the door. "When I'm let go, of course," she says. "Even a successful escape won't look good on the report. And that's if 'Lyna doesn't overreact and kill you before it's written." She was joking... mostly.

Sioria snorts and lets out a small laugh. "Heh, yeah, there's no way in hell I'm going to cross 'Lyna. She'd smush me like a bug or something." Definitely overestimating her ability, but from Ehanis has said, she wanted to stay on her good side. "So when are they letting you out of here anyway? Are you just here for observation now or something? Can't be too long."

Ehanis nods, letting out the tiniest smile. She wasn't opposed to people thinking Ilyna to be dangerously over-protective, because her sister always has the option of not trying to be her barrier bubble. "Two or three days, I think," she says, "but recovery's going to take a while just like last time." She looks back at the turian. "You don't have to come by every day unti lthen, though," she says with a frown.

"You're not stuck in here for days, you should enjoy it."

Sioria gives her another wave again. "Psh, girl, I come around when I want." she says, nudging Ehanis' leg gently with her foot. "Besides, looked like you were wicked bored when I came in, so it might do you some good to see more of this finely sculpted face." She uses her fingers to make a small picture box around her Turian features. "If you want alone time though, that's cool. Just let

me know if its alright to swing by." The Turian smiles quite widely again. "That gives me time to fit in some clean up time around my busy schedule of procrastination and work."

Ehanis frowns. "I mean it, Sioria," she says. "I've already got Lyna caring way too much, I don't need you too going out of your way to share my misery too." She sighs. "Besides, I'm going to see your 'finely sculpted face' when I come visit you."

Sioria makes an overdramatic sigh, complete with throwing her head back. "Fiiiiiine, no need to twist my arm." She flips her head back to meet Ehanis' eyes. "But seriously, you call me if it gets too crazy or lonely here, alright? I know how boring hospitals can be, trust me, I was born in one." She felt waaaaay too proud about that joke, but she tries not to show it.

Ehanis lets out a laugh at the joke, but she does roll her eyes. "I will," she says, totally not lying. "I've heard the food here is terrible, so I may need you to..." she looks around the room and lowers her voice when she spots an asari nurse walking into another patient's partition. "...bring in something."

Sioria looks to the nurse, then leans back. As soon as the nurse isn't looking, she shoots Ehanis a small, knowing wink and pinches the air in front of her. 'Something small', she mouths, followed by a nod. "Anyway, yeah, call me. I'll even drop by, my hours are pretty regular at the moment, unless there's an emergency. Oh, did I tell you my CQC training's going pretty well?"

Ehanis tilts her head. Maybe she has and Ehanis forgot, which would make her look bad if she simply answered 'no'. "That's good," she says instead. "I prefer putting some distance between myself and what's shooting at me instead. Which works.... Most of the time."

Sioria nods, resisting the urge to say 'Most of the time, more like none of the time', but she felt it was too inappropriate. "See, therein lies the problem," she says, pointing at her briefly. "I put too much distance between me and my enemies. With my Vindicator or a sniper rifle, I'm only really good at further ranges. Open spaces. Y'know?" she asks, shrugging a little. "What if someone

needs backup in a tight squeeze? That's why I decided to pick up a shield and a... slightly expensive suit of heavier armour."

Ehanis is still tilting her head, not entirely convinced. "Redrock's got short range covered already," she says. "We were definitely short on sharpshooters on Rakhana, though."

Sioria nods knowingly. "Yeah, I know." she says. "But in tighter spaces, like on a ship or something, I'll be more useful. Just filling out my availabilities, y'know?" she asks with a wide smile. "And I wish I could have gone, but I wasn't told to. I didn't even know it was happening!"

Ehanis frowns. "Neither did 'Lyna," she says, "so you could imagine how pissed she was when she found out that they didn't run it by her first."

Sioria gives a grimace at that little detail. "Eesh. Wouldn't want to be on the recieving end of that." she says, pulling her feet off the bed. "How many peoples' heads rolled for that one?" she asks, eyeridges raised.

Ehanis looks towards the door. "Only the bosses'," she says. "The chief was having none of her crap, though, and shouted right back at her." She smirks for a moment before adding, "They had calmed her down before she got to me... mostly."

Sioria grimaces again. "Yikes. Yeah, not people you want to be on the bad side of." she says as she sits up. That's when her omnitool gives that annoying, morbid sound. A message from work. Sioria growns and slumps in her chair a little. "Tyyypical." she moans before opening her omnitool and glancing over the message briefly. She closes it and stands before dusting herself off. "Sorry I've

got to cut this short, but it looks like I've gotta scoot, Blue. I'll swing by tomorrow at some point if you want with a, uh... 'present. Give me a buzz." She moves to hug the woman, but realises that's not a great idea with her injury, so instead she leans in and gives her a smooch on the cheek.

Ehanis reflexively pulls her head to the side, but she allows the turian to awkwardly kiss her cheek. "Count on it," she says before adding in a mutter, "Unless the hospital food defies reputation." She then nods. "I'll see you around, Sioria."

Sioria grins and gives her a thumbs up. "Hey, if it does live up to the stereotype, I'll bring you a sandwhich. Or one of those kebab things you like, along with the other thing." She chuckles and gives her a wink. She knew Ehanis was going to pull away, but she wanted to take the chance anyway. The Turian heads towards the exit with light steps, happy to know her friend was okay. "I'll

catch you on the flip-side, E. Whatever that means." She spins on her heel with a light frown. "That... IS a good thing... right?" Humans and their slang...

Ehanis gives a slight shrug. "Probably, why do you think I know?" she says. "And yep, varren kebab sounds good..." she glances towards where there nurse was for a moment, and in case she's hiding behind a partition she continues with, "...when I come visit you." She winks to the turian.

Sioria smirks and winks back before starting off again. "We'll make a stop on the way to mine. We'll get, like, fifty of 'em." She snickers before getting to the door. "Anyway, seeya E. Rest up, get outta here early." The Turian gives her another thumbs up before heading through the door and off into the world once more.

Ehanis gives a small wave before reaching for her omni-tool once more to continue composing the message.
