Steve rubs at his eyes with the palms of his hands and blinks rapidly. "I don't know... It burns like a mother fucker!"

Renala places a hand on her throat, tracing the surface around the source of the itch to check if there is a wound, or any sort of indication what might cause this. "I've got an itch in my throat where he held me," she says.
Steve tightly shuts his eyelids, flickering them open and closed. "My hand started itching when he grabbed me, too..." he says, "Nothing we can do about it right now. Let's just hope it goes away, and try to keep our distance from now on. No telling what else these freaks have done to themselves..."
Renala nods. "Yeah," she says. "Might be easier said than done, though, if they're like him." She looks around the room for anything useful.
Steve climbs to his feet as his vision slowly returns, turning everything from darkness to bright blurry splotches. "I should be good to keep moving."
Renala approaches the door that is the right (looking from the entrance) and checks if it's locked. "Alright," she says, "let's check what's in here..."
Steve nods, giving another rub at his eyes. Large, irritated, reddened circles have appeared around each eye. "Yeah..." he mutters as he gathers up his weapon and moves towards the door Renala has indicated.
Renala waits for Steve to arrived, glancing at the red coloration around his eyes with a worried expression. She returns her attention to the door and hits the button to open it, before taking a step back.
Steve steps into the tunnel, holding his SMG out in front of himself. The tunnel is just a collection of blurry, vibrating lights to him. "Clear..." he says, almost more of a question than a statement.
Renala nods and enters the tunnel, making sure to look up as well as to the sides once she's through the doorway.
Steve moves alongside Renala, keeping his weapon on the door at the end of the tunnel. The splotches of dancing light are slowly beginning to take shape as his vision begins to clear up slightly.
Renala approaches the door and stops beside it, then pushes the button to open it before taking a few steps back.
Tyranniac| The door slides open. It leads into another room filled with crates. The floor is covered in small pools of water.
Steve steps into the room and sweeps his weapon back and forth, searching for any threats. Another jolt of pain shoots from the base of his skull to his temples.
Renala wipes the drop of water with a finger before looking around the room. She walks over to the nearest crate. "Let's hope our gear's in either of these," she says before attempting to open it.
Steve remains by the door, clearly uneasy. "It's never that easy..." he mutters to himself as he glances around the room for another exit. "Think the explosion caused this?" he asks, nodding towards the leaking ceiling.
Renala frowns, and moves on to the next crate. "Yeah," she says, "but I can't know for sure without checking these crates." She attempts to open that one, as well.
Tyranniac| The crate contains what looks like parts for a door, much like the ones they've passed through.
Steve takes a knee beside one of the pools of water and scoops up a handful. He inspects it and sniffs at it for anything unusual.
Steve sets down his SMG and hurriedly tosses the water into his eyes. He continues to scoop up water, rubbing it into his eyes, alleviating some of the irritation, and drinking a few handfuls of it.
Renala moves on, finding another cate, which she opens. "You sure the water's clean?" she asks with a glance towards Steve.
Steve drinks another handful of water, nodding to himself. "Looks clean. Smells clean. Tastes clean... I'd say it's about as good as we're gonna get at this point."
Renala moves on to another crate. "No, nothing," she says, "Only empty ones, and some containing cables or parts." She opens the crate.
Steve sighs. "Sounds like they're just keeping spare parts in here. I knew it wouldn't be that easy. They've probably got our gear in the armory."
