Darsk takes another look at their surroundings. "...Which way should we go now? Just head down river?"
#HuntingTime – September 22, 2013
Tyranniac| The rain keeps pouring down, drumming against the plastic of the boat, and splashing against the surface of the river.
Iressa attempts to reach Malarus again after only a few moments down the river, impatiently fiddling with the omni-tool.
Tyranniac| There is no response. The large cliff to their left is illuminated by lightning, followed soon by roaring thunder. The river has been curving left for some time.
Iressa frowns, "Nothing. I just wish there was someone else we could contact. I don't care for the idea that this guy is our only hope."
Darsk chuckles humorlessly. "Where's his turian sense of duty now?" He keeps his eyes on the river ahead. "We still don't know he isn't responsible"
Tyranniac| Iressa's comms come to life, and after some brief static Malarus' voice is heard: "...there? I received your message. Is everyone alive?"
Iressa swiftly returns her attention to the omni-tool at the sound, raising her voice to hopefully be heard over the sound of the downpour. "Yes, yes we're all alive. I mean, I'm almost certain. Some of them are still inside the compound. We sure could use your help here."
Darsk shouts over the rain as well, hoping for his voice to be picked up by Iressa's omni-tool. "They took our weapons and armor, too."
Iressa holds the omni-tool between her and Darsk, close enough that they can both be heard over the deafening rain. She speaks short and concise, saving the long story for later. "Slavers, took us down with gas. We barely made it out to call you."
Darsk leans closer to the omni-tool this time. "Iressa and I are out of the compound. Steve and Renala are free, but they went back in."
Iressa looks guiltily toward the omni-tool. "Ah, sure. For Maria. But they're going to need some help. Help with weapons, preferably.
Malarus (Comms): I don't have the weaponry to take on an entire compound, but I'll see what I can do. Where are you?
Darsk looks around through the rain, suddenly realizing that he does not know where they are. He glances at Iressa, gives the closest a krogan can give to a shrug, and returns his attention to navigating the river.
Iressa frowns and too looks through the rain, to no avail. "We can't say for sure, but we're on a decent sized river. Is there no way to localize us?"
