#Rampage – November 14, 2013

Renala nods, tossing the empty wrapping on the ground. "Yeah, if there's anywhere to hide something under a crate, that's the most logical spot."

Steve nods and tosses the datapad down. "Let's get going, then." he says before heading back towards the central chamber, keeping a steady pace.

Renala follows after him with a slow pace, gritting her teeth as the anesthetic effects of the medi-gel is starting to fade. "Sure hope the krogan's part of the group that has, or will bail on them," she says. "They're generally selfish, so I would almost count on it."

Gisle| The main chamber is as the remember it, the better part of the floor being gone. On their 9 is the room they were in before this, and the exit is through the door on their 3. Straight ahead is the blocked path.

Steve steps out onto the ledge and begins inching his way back towards the hallway leading to the room filled with crates. "If not, then we'll find a way through him... We don't have much of a choice."

Renala walks out a few seconds after him, slowly following along the ledge. "Let's hope our stuff is in the boss' room, then," she says, "or the armory's near it if it turns out the krogan's still there."

Gisle| The door is still unlocked, but closed.

Steve reaches out and opens the door. After stepping into the doorway, he reaches out to lend Renala a hand. "If we can find this tunnel, it might give us a chance to catch their leader off guard. If we can get our hands on him, it might give us a bargaining chip to get out of this hellhole."

Renala takes his hand and is helped the last bit of the way. "Thanks," she says, before considering his idea. "Did Iressa ever describe the leader?"

Gisle| The door opens to a relatively non-descript cave hallway ending in another closed door.

Steve shakes his head as he continues towards their destination. "No... But it shouldn't be too hard to figure out if we can locate the tunnel, considering it should take us right to his room. Hopefully he's alone."

Renala | "Yeah, fair enough," she says. "Maybe he kept our gear there, as well." She continues towards the end of the hallway and opens the door.

Gisle| The dimly lit room hasn't changed since they sist were there, the door to their left being the dead end, and the one to the right leading towards the storage rooms. There's 15 crates in this room, but only 3 of them would be large enough to truly cover a holde that would be possible to crawl through for a humanoid.

Steve nods silently as he walks beside Renala. "Might as well check here first." he says as he approaches one of the larger crates and pulls at it.

Renala checks one of the others, checking the other side of it before pushing it about half its length away.

Gisle| The crates are about 4kg/9lbs, so they're easily moved. Niether of the crates reveal anything but rock floor beneath, however.

Steve sighs and moves on to the third crate, gripping it by its sides and pushing it across the floor

Gisle| The last crate is pushed away to again reveal stone floor.

Steve dusts off his hands and makes his way towards the door. "Of course it wouldn't be that easy." he says, lifting his Locust as he approaches the next door, "But it's better to be thorough, I suppose."

Renala nods before following Steve towards the door. "Yeah, true" she says, "figured they'd pick a location with as many crates as possible to hide it beneath."

Gisle| The door is not locked, but closed.

Steve nods and opens the door, continuing down the path with his weapon raised. "Makes the most sense if they wanted it to go unnoticed."

Renala nods once again, falling into step beside him as they move across. "Yeah, the last room would be in plain view for those entering from the main chamber," she says, "but as you said, nothing wrong with checking them anyway."

Gisle| The next door isn't locked, either.

Steve repeats the process, opening the door and sweeping the area with his weapon before stepping inside room with the pooled water. He glances around at the crates in the room, checking to see if any are worth moving.

Gisle| There is fifty-one crates in this room if anyone actually counts, most of them arranged along the walls while 15 of them form a cluster in the center. The room is rather large, housing all the crates ranging from 90cm/3ft to 120cm/4ft in size without stacking any in the height. The largest ones are to their 9 'o clock near the wall. The crates Steve and Renala opened last time are

Gisle untouched. Almost all crates aside from 2 in the center are accessible without moving any of the other.

Renala continues inside, also looking over the room. "The next room's got bigger crates," she says, "And fewer of them. Maybe we should check that room first?"

Steve nods and continues on towards the next room, raising his weapon once again as he approaches the door. "Might as well. The less work we have to do, the better."

Gisle| The crates are still there, but the larger ones around the center makes it difficult to truly scout out the room. It's not very large, but the shape is irregular due to having been a mining area. As said earlier, there's 10 large crates (2m/6.6ft), 19 medium crates (1.2m/4ft) and 4 crates smaller than a meter. 4 of the large crates are near the opposite end of the room, while the rest are in the center of it.

Steve heads over to the four large crates and begins shifting them aside. "Well... Let's get working." he sighs."

Renala nods as she follows over to the four crates, and grabs ahold of one, trying to drag it away from the area.

Gisle| The crates are somewhat heavy, especially to shift along the uneven ground. (30kg / 66lbs). They offer no clear affordance for opening except for on the top.

Steve attempts to open the top of the crate, hoping to remove some of whatevers inside to lighten the weight.

Gisle| Steve manages to open the lid a little, but the crate's relatlively smooth surfaces on the side makes them difficult to climb unless he can pull himself up without a foothold; unliekly in their state of little rest and almost no food since hours before capture.

Renala keeps pulling at a crate, making very, very slow progress as she turns the crate a few degrees. She doesn't manage to get a grip on both edges.

Steve sighs and lets go of the lid, allowing it to fall closed, and goes back to tugging at the crate, attempting to inch it across the ground.

Renala lets go of a crate and moves over to where Steve is, and starts pulling at another edge to help get that crate out of the way first.

Gisle| That way, they would manage quickly enough to move the crate so that there is a space between it and the adjacent ones.

Steve readjusts his grip on the crate once there's some space to do so. "Thanks..." he grunts as he continues to move the crate.

Renala | "Anytime," she says as she pulls the crate away further, sounding a bit strained. "Really wish I practiced my telekinetic stuff more right about now."

Gisle| There's now enough space between the crate and the one past it to push the two rather than pull.

Steve nods silently, not particularly thrilled about the possibility of having a conversation about biotics. "Shouldn't give us too much trouble." he says, moving into a position to push the next crate.

Renala follows after him, helping push the crate. "Yeah," she says, "and it's probably best to save that for whoever's upstairs anyway."

Gisle| They'll have an easier time pushing it, but the floor beneath makes the move a little bumpy. The next two crates are against the wall, but the room's shape makes the wall relatively flat so moving them out of the way shouldn't be much trouble given they weigh the same.

Steve continues to push, leaning into it with his weight. "Can't wait to get my hands on the asshole behind all this..."

Renala frowns as she continues pushing it. "I'm hoping we meet no assholes," she says, "unlikely as that is."

Gisle| The next pair of crates are already spaced far apart to squeeze inbetween, the most visible being the rightmost one just adjacent to the one Renala and Steve is pushing. The floor between the two reveal no hole, however.

Steve squeezes in between the pair and starts pushing the next crate, just trying to nudge it a couple feet to look for any sign of an opening. "Not me..." he mutters, "After what he's put us through... I'm looking forward to dealing with him."

Renala helps push the crate. "I'd rather get out as soon as possible," she says. "I'm pretty sure my unanswered calls count is up in the thirties by now."

Steve continues to push against the crate. "We'll be out of here soon, Ren." he says, trying to sound reassuring.

Gisle| The crate is pushed slowly but surely and no hole seems to reveal itself beneath it. However, if they cast a glance at the wall, it seems like there's part of a hole appearing at the edge of the crate, but its depth is difficult to discern as no lights illuminate it directly.

Renala doesn't notice the hole as she continues pushing, but Steve's closer to the wall than she is. "Yeah, I know," she says, "just hoping it'd be as painless as possible."

Steve keeps pushing the crate as he speaks. "Me too... Well, painless for us, anyways. Them, on the oth-..." he stops abruptly as he spots the hole. "Think we found it!" he exclaims, becoming a bit more energetic as he puts some more strength into pushing the crate out of the way.

Gisle| Indeed they did, as the hole's opening seem to be crawlable as the crate is pushed past it. On closer inspection, it has some small sharp protrusions on the sides and ceiling here and there. It would likely fit Steve from the looks of it, and Renala even with armor.

Renala smiles slightly. "Good to hear," she says, "I really wasn't looking forward to moving more of them."

Steve takes a step back and rotates his shoulder, "That makes two of us." he says. "Seems to be a good sign for our other issue, too." he says, giving a quick nod towards the hole.
