Renala is sitting at a booth nearest the exit, on the center seat of the row that would have her face the door out. There's a glass of water on the table before her, which is half-empty. She's in armor with a Locust laying on the innermost seat beside her.

Jason enters the Respite in his hardsuit with his Revenant on his back and Phalanx on his thigh. He pauses for a moment once inside and gives a glance around the room. Upon spotting Renala, he makes his way over to her booth and slides into the seat across from her, giving her a short nod. "Hey. Mendez said our friend is ready for a meeting?" he says, giving a quick glance back towards the door.
Mendez enters the Respite just as Jason takes a seat and follows him over to the booth. Opting to stand, he places his hands flat against the surface of the table and looks down at Renala. "What's the word, princess?" he asks.
Renala pauses, a smile creeping up. "I was hoping he'd inform you, actually. I have to be careful in case they snapped up my message."
Jason nods, "Good... That gives us a bit of time to figure out how we're going to handle this. I've got Kim stopping by. Figure we should be nearby in case this meeting goes south."
Mendez nods as well, "I sent the turian a message. He didn't get back to me, but hopefully he'll be here."
Kim steps into the respite and glances around for the people she's looking for. After only a couple seconds, she moves as silently as ever towards the booth and knocks gently on the table to announce her presence.
Renala glances at the stairs, nodding. "He lives upstairs," she begins, "so it's not a long way here." She looks up at the new arrival. "Hey, Kim."
Zaylus descends the staircase from the upper level of the respite, walking briskly across the floor. He comes up alongside Mendez, giving the group a collective nod.
Kim nods towards the two sitting and moves past the two still standing to slip into the booth next to Jason.
Renala nods back at the turian, "Heya, Grumpy, how's it-." An omni-tool ping intterupts her and she opens up the message and looks it over, followed by a blip appearing on a map of the regian. "Okay, got a location. Seems like it's about thirty-five minutes out."
Jason completes the string of nods by nodding to Zaylus before returning his attention to Kim. "Suppose I should get you up to speed on what's going on." he says with a sigh, "These three-..." he looks between Zaylus, Mendez, and Renala, "...have been following up on a few Hnipinn employees that went missing a while back. Renala managed to get a lead on someone who might know something. They seem to be running some sort of mining operation of their own, and Renala set up a meeting, posing as someone looking for a job. Me and you will be playing the role of 'cavalry' in case things go sideways." he explains.
Mendez attempts to crane his neck to get a better look at Renala's omni-tool but fails to do so. "Thirty-five minutes out?" he asks, "Why are we meeting so far outside of town?"
Renala taps a few times on her omni-tool, transferring the nav point to the others around the table. "He's a friend of Quinn," she says, "so probably just another shady bastard up to no good. He'll be there in two hours."
Jason gives a shrug to Kim's question, "That's what we're here to figure out." he says, turning his attention back to Renala. "Two hours? Good. That gives us time to get out there and see what we've got to work with. If we can find out what we need to know without a fight, that would be ideal. You said you were kicking around a few ideas the other day, Renala... Have you come up with anything?"
Renala thinks for a moment, then nods. "Yeah," she says, "it's far from what I planned since I waited too long to start looking for parts, but I've managed to set up my omni-tool to report back, making it look like requesting an update from the messaging service with a bit of appearent garbage data attached." She pauses. "It's not perfect. It'll paint you a ring on the map with a guess at the direction, but don't put too much faith in that since I haven't tested it over longer distances."
Jason raises an eyebrow and gains a look that needs no explanation: He has no idea what the hell Renala just said.
Jason looks towards the table for a moment. He then glances at the others before resting his gaze back on Renala. "How about trying that one more time. This time try to make sense."
Renala smirks. "It's a simple distance tracker with more than one receiver in my room, so you'll know how far from Freedom Falls I am at any given time. That I have more than one up there makes it possible to get an approximation of the direction."
Jason eyes Zaylus and mutters under his breath. "Well hopefully it won't come to that. Jasper is waiting outside with the shuttle. Let's get out of here and see what we've got to work with before our friend arrives." he says, nudging against Kim slightly.
Renala nods and stands up, picking up her Locust. "They won't take me without a fight, anyway," she says as she holsters it.
Mendez pushes away from the table, "That makes two of us, princess." he says before turning and making his way towards the exit, disappearing through the Respite door.
Jason slides out of the booth and stands up. "Had the time to get familiar with that Mantis yet?" he asks, giving Kim a glance as he slowly walks towards the exit.
Renala nods. "I've told Atana to let you get the key to my room if you ask... until I say otherwise to her," she says as she follows beside him. "She said she wasn't sure if she could do it, though."
Kim steps in line besides the human and nods slightly. "I've had a few sessions with the militia. I've picked up the basics on my own at the firing range, but they've been able to teach me things I wouldn't have thought of otherwise."
Mendez hops into the shuttle and takes a seat near the door, facing the front of the shuttle. The old Kodiak rocks, but quickly stabilizes.
Jason nods to himself, "Good... Might have an opportunity to put it to use." he says. Upon hearing Renala, he steps through the Respite door as he responds, "Don't worry about it. I'm sure V will do whatever she can to help." he says, "And if they won't let us in your room... Well, then we'll find our own way in." he says as he turns to face the asari, "But it won't come to that." he assures her before climbing into the shuttle.
Renala walks up to the shuttle and steps inside. "Mhm, I figured you and her were friends," she says, "but yeah, I'm probably being too pessimistic about this. Can't hurt to be prepared for the worst, right?" She takes a seat near the door.
Zaylus hops into the shuttle, claiming a seat facing the rear of the vessel. "We're really flying in luxury now, aren't we." He mutters, mostly to himself as he inspects the interior.
Jason gives Renala a nod as he takes a seat beside her. He pulls up his omni-tool and transfers the coordinates to Jasper. "Certainly can't..." he agrees.
Mendez glances over the interior of the shuttle with a look that implies he shares a similar opinion to Zaylus.
