It's around noon on November 25th. Jason hasn't been seen since disappearing into the rec room an hour or so ago.

Vasquez enters the rec room with an empty coffee cup in one hand and a datapad in the other, wearing her headset. "Yeah, I think-... yes. I'm sure it'll be fine." she says as she heads immediately for the kitchenette, not paying all that much attention to her surroundings.

Jason is stood in the middle of the room, one hand on Leah's waist and the other arm wrapped around her. The moment Vasquez enters the room, both of them separate.

Jason scratches at the back of his neck for a moment before folding his arms across his chest with a guilty look on his face. "Heeeeey beautiful!" he greets, forcing a dumb lopsided grin.

Leah hops on the balls of her feet to face Vasquez. "Hey, Chief!" she says, the words leaving her mouth much louder than intended as she jams her hands into her back pockets.

Vasquez glances Jason and Leah's way before her attention returns to her datapad, but another step later she does a double take, stopping as she turns towards them, looking somewhat puzzled. A voice in her ear diverts her attention briefly and she distractedly responds with "Yeah. Mhm, sounds good. Call me if there's anything else." before ending the call. "Hello...?" she says slowly, drawing it out like a question and

looking between them.

Jason nods, raising a hand to wave to Vasquez but remaining right where he is. "Just-.... Uhh.... working...?" he asks before shooting a glance towards the fridge. "Oh! There's some of those donuts left from the other day!" he offers, the discomfort clear in his voice.

Leah rocks back and forth in place, hands in her back pockets as she nods along to Jason's donut suggestion in a way that makes it clear that she's not actually listening to him.

Vasquez raises an eyebrow, reaching over to place her empty cup on the counter before crossing her arms. "Working." she repeats with a skeptical look. "Let's try that again."

Jason's grin falters for a moment, but he's quick to prop it back up. He furrows his eyes, playing it off like he has no idea what Vasquez is getting at. "What...?" he begins, casting a glance Leah's way, "Leah was just-..." he pauses, leaving it open as if hoping to be bailed out by her. When that doesn't happen, he continues his explanation. Slowly. "...Here for... the............ Thing about.... At! The Respite." He clears

his throat and swallows hard, "For tuesday." Satisfied with his nonsensical explanation, he looks back to Vasquez and gives a nod.

Leah sucks in a deep breath when it's clear that their attempt at being low key isn't working. Once Jason is finished, she gives a dejected sigh. "She's not stupid. Just tell her, Jason." She gets a confused look from Jason, which just seems to further frustrate her. "Tell her or I'm going to."

Vasquez blinks, confusion returning as she briefly tries to decipher Jason's nonsense before giving up with a shake of her head. "Please do." she agrees after Leah speaks, shifting slightly and turning her focus entirely to Jason, waiting with an expectant look on her face.

Leah watches Jason for a moment, who continues to play stupid. When it's clear he's not going to own up, she looks to Vasquez with a sigh. "He can't dance. I'm teaching him." she says plainly.

Jason finally pipes up, looking incredibly offended. "That's-...." he stammers, looking between Leah and Vasquez. "I can too dance!" he argues. "I just-... Last night-..." he continues, getting distracted by the exaggerated head shaking Leah is giving everything he's saying. His explanation eventually devolves into a muttered: "...Sam's a fucking asshole..."

Leah speaks over him, "He has the rhythm of a paint can."

Vasquez ' confusion only grows. "Dancing. Al...right. What, is this-... is this because of that video?" she asks, tilting her head slightly as she studies Jason.

Jason gives Leah the side-eye. When Vasquez mentions the video he looks her way in sheer horror. "You saw the video!? What the fuck!?" he groans, bringing a hand to his head and turning his back to the pair as he paces towards the door. "I was drunk! I wasn't even trying! Besides, with that lighting you can barely even see anything! I-..." he trails off.

Leah snorts at the mention of the video and tries to keep herself from laughing, but she nods to Vasquez.

Jason's pacing eventually finds him looking back to Vasquez. "We're going to have to dance tomorrow. I just-... I don't want to make you look like an idiot, okay?" he admits dejectedly, clearly embarassed over the whole situation.

Vasquez rotates to follow Jason as he paces near the door, ending up closer to her. At the mention of dancing at the wedding her eyes widen. "Wh-... tomor-... tomorrow?" she blurts out, her voice seeming to rise in pitch halfway through the word. "You mean-... at the wedding? Dancing? I d-... Jason? You... you know I don't dance."

Jason blinks a couple of times as he realizes that she's no more prepared for the dancing than he is. A smirk tugs at the corner of his mouth and he gives a shrug. "I mean, we don't have to dance, right? Fuck stupid traditions."

Leah looks upset by this, furrowing her brow as she looks between the two. "Wha-.. no! You do have to dance! It's a wedding! It's romantic!"

Vasquez actually looks rather hesitant before her attention is pulled to Leah. "I can't dance!" she exclaims immediately. "Apparently, that goes for both of us, so..."

Jason gives another shrug. "...Then maybe we just-..." he begins before he's cut off by Leah.

Leah rolls her eyes as she lets out a loud sigh. "Oh for fuck's sake! I'm not about to let you two watch your big day pass you by without having your first dance." She waves Vasquez over. "Come on. Get over here. I've got, like, two hours before me and Tara have to get to work. More than enough time to make sure you two don't embarass yourselves tomorrow."

Jason looks hesitantly between Lean and Vasquez. As his gaze rests on the latter, he tilts his head, giving a silent 'How bout it?'

Vasquez seems a little caught off-guard as Leah starts to direct her, but she glances Jason's way, realizing she might have a point. Regardless, it's with hesitation that she moves over to Leah, putting away her datapad and looking around with a grimace, clearly having no idea what to do.

Leah's big bright smile returns as she steps up beside Vasquez. She reaches out and grabs Jason by the wrist, pulling him closer. "It's easy!" she assures as she circles around Vasquez, manually placing her hands on Jason. "It's all about keeping pace with your partner..." she begins to explain.
