#Hospital – November 11, 2018

Snow is falling outside the hospital window as evening, and Redrock's debrief, approaches. It's the 7th of December, 6 days after the return of the Jack of Diamonds. An unfamiliar nurse enters Oxaris' room, offering a slightly hesitant greeting and a small smile. "Hi. Oxaris?" she asks, hoping her translator is working right. She's a fairly small woman who can't be much over twenty, wearing an immaculate nurse's uniform that must have been

recently issued.

Oxaris has, unsurprisingly, spent most of her time in bed. Go figure. She has tried many outlets to stem the boredom of being confined to a single room, from crappy programs on the displays, to reading, to even possibly sneaking a quick walk around her room. But, she has behaved and remained in place. She looks to the woman and offers a friendly smile to her. "Yes, that's me. You're new here, aren't you?"

Holly 's smile returns, a little wider, upon receiving confirmation that she's got the right room. Not that there's a lot of turians in surgical recovery. "Uh..." A slightly awkward chuckle and a nod follows. "Yes. Yeah, Dr. Halisi asked me to help set things up to live-stream a... work meeting? To your room." she explains, not entirely sure what the whole thing is about.

Oxaris sits up a little straighter, careful not to disturb the medical instruments or her own wounds. "Ah, of course." The debrief. And here she was, in a hospital gown, looking a fair sorry state for it. She wouldn't show it outwardly, but the embarrassment of it all was eating away at her inside. "That's right. Would you be okay setting most of it up, I'm still struggling with moving..."

Holly smirks slightly as she crosses the room, showing off the compacted laptop she's carrying in her right hand. "Of course. Halisi would have my head if I let you out of bed." she comments, stopping by the bed and starting to unfold the laptop. Her gaze wanders a few times to Oxaris. "You're one of those mercenaries that the doctor works with?" she asks.

Oxaris chuckles softly, folding her talons on her lap as she merely watches the nurse set up the laptop. "I could imagine. And yes, I am." Mercenary. The word left a foul taste in her mouth, but that was what she was at the moment in time, and she had to accept that. At least for now. "They're... an interesting troupe, to say the least."

Holly flashes a brief smile, placing the activated laptop on the bedside table temporarily as she does some quick typing, hoping she remembered Halisi's instructions correctly. "I've heard. Well, a little, anyway." she says, making small talk as she works. "I have a hard time imagining Dr. Halisi in a firefight."

Oxaris hums and wiggles slightly in the bed, adjusting the pillow behind her to lend more support. "I would've said the same a month ago. But she's... capable. I think we all owe her for her contributions." She purposefully leaves out the details, giving only vague explanations to the nurse.

Holly finishes with the laptop, grabbing a tray from under the bed and setting it above Oxaris' lap before placing the laptop atop it. On screen is a view of the conference room from one of the security cameras. With Renala gone, Vasquez has put in the work to set it up herself - well, with Fergus' assistance. "If I understood right you should be able to talk to them when holding that key." she says, pointing at the keyboard.

Oxaris nods as she looks at the display before her. She perks her brow-plate and looks a little sheepish when she asks, "Can... any of them see me? I'm not used to having a view from a security camera for a meeting." It reminded her of her early days of guard duty and watching security cameras for hours at a time. It was... tedious.

Holly furrows her eyebrows. "Oh! Uh... no, no I don't think so." she offers with... some degree of confidence, at leasat.

Oxaris nods and gives the nurse the turian equivalent of a disarming smile. "Thank you for your help. Would you like it if I called you after the meeting is done so you can retrieve your gear?"

Holly nods. "That will work. I'm... not exactly done yet though. It's time to change your IV. I know, not... ideal timing. Sorry." she says with a slight chuckle and an apologetic look. "Shouldn't take long though!"

Oxaris manages to suppress a grimace and instead offers a small nod. Hearing Vasquez pipe up over the speaker, she holds down the button shown to her and speaks into the mic. "Loud and clear, ma'am." She then removes her talon from the button.

Holly glances briefly over to the screen and the people gathered on the other side, before getting to work carefully removing the old IV from Oxaris' arm.

Holly does a poor job of hiding her curiosity about Oxaris' meeting, and only reluctantly leaves to fetch the fresh IV.

Oxaris smiles at Holly as she leaves. She wonders if the hospital has any turian shaped earphones to silence the meeting from her prying ears.
