Vasquez keeps her weapon aimed down the hallway, but glances at Renala. "You can do biotics, right?"
#RedrockAgency – August 24, 2014
Renala nods. "And I've got my amp," she says. "I don't have much time to aim, though, since the shields on this thing is crap."
Vasquez nods in response while turning her attention forward again. "Just try to pull them in here, keep them from taking cover in the doorway, then fall back behind me."
Jasper mimes their actions, lowering the altitiude of their shuttle as well, hoping it may encourage the enemy shuttle to temporarily retreat, giving them time to reach the front door. He continues barreling towards the shuttle.
Vasquez starts flipping through the various sensor modes of her visor while looking around, hoping to see where the two mercs on foot are located.
The two mercs on foot are still outside the entrance door, the salarian holding his arm up before it; implying he might be using his omni-tool. The hostile shuttle reacts and speeds forward in an attempt to evade them in the last seconds.
The shuttle continues forwards towards the front door, slowing down as it approaches. Jasper does his best to keep tabs on the enemy shuttle's location as he turns the kodiak to face the agency's front door with the shuttle's broadside when they're around 5 meters from the two mercs. Mendez and Leah line up at the door as it slides open and Jasper begins a slow descent.
Vasquez , spotting the shuttle on EM and thermal scanners, starts moving up the corridor. "Looks like the cavalry's here. You stay back, call if they have a flanking team." She moves into the conference room and takes up position next to the door to the lobby, looking through her grenades.
The door to the lobby opens, powered by the salarian's omni-tool. The asari steps into the room with her Katana shotgun aimed at the door to the conference room. The salarian remains outside, however, his Carnifex aimed towards the approaching shuttle.
Vasquez quickly unclips, activates and throws a smoke grenade into the lobby, and then swings around into the doorway a moment later, opening fire at the nearest merc.
Leah is surrounded by a blue shine as her biotics flare up. She leaps from the shuttle while it's still a bit off the ground. The blue glow deepens and her descent slows to a crawl until she touches down softly. She reaches back and expels the built-up energy in the direction of the salarian with an aimed throw.
Mendez fires his Katana at the salarian from the side of the shuttle in an attempt at covering Leah's airdrop as the shuttle continues to make its landing.
The asari merc gets to the ground and makes for the desk, taking cover by the end of it. The fire is enough to get her shields down, but she is otherwise unharmed. The salarian opens fire towards the human emerging from the shuttle, but the biotic throw sends him into the wall. He gets back up to his feet and gets into cover just inside the door; although it leaves him exposed to Vasquez if she has sensors that the smoke doesn't obstruct.
The hostile shuttle turns around and open fire towards Jasper's with its not too impressive canons while it slowly approaches the Redrock site again.
Vasquez has quite a good view of the salarian through the smoke, and as soon as she's chased the asari into cover she stops firing, moving her aim to the salarian while cycling to her second thermal clip and then unleashes the Confetti Maker at him.
Leah's shields take the brunt of the salarian's Carnifex fire. She shoulders her Mattock and continues towards the front door, taking a couple of potshots to keep him in cover. Once she hears the Confetti Maker let loose, Leah rushes to the side to steer clear of the open doorway.
Jasper cusses to himself. "Shuttle's comin' back 'round, folks!" he announces over comms as he continues to set his own shuttle down.
Mendez hops out of the shuttle as it touches down and levels his Katana on the enemy shuttle. Using the Redrock shuttle for cover, he unloads a few shots at the hostile before ducking and replacing the thermal clip.
The salarian tries to run for the desk, but he's not as lucky in the face of the heavy machine gun, causing him to stumble over and crawl the rest of the way while his armor scrambles to treat the injuries. The asari takes the chance and fires the full Katana clip at the doorway to the conference room, at least hoping to supress the hostile.
The shuttle takes a few hits, but the kinetic barriers on it are well equipped to handle ground combat weapons. It turns around when it's seven meters away from the compound, and four meters above ground. The side door opens and a helmeted human male mans the mounted gun that aims around. The turian seems to be unconcious as he sits in the seat with the harnesses on. "This isn't all we got," the human on the MG announces over the comms on the channel previously used by the asari to speak with the two in the building. "Surrender Darennon or this won't end with us."
Vasquez backs away from the doorway as the asari opens fire, some of outlying shards impacting her shields. She considers her options for a moment before falling back into the corridor, giving a sharp nod to Renala and quickly making her way south while cycling thermal clips again, despite the second one not being fully heated. She then stops, staring at the wall with a determined gaze. She takes a deep breath and squeezes down on the trigger of her machinegun, trying to hit the mercs through the wall.
Mendez pops back up once the thermal clip is in place and opens up on the human, letting off numerous shots in rapid succession in hopes of forcing him off the MG momentarily.
Renala steps into the conference room and sends off a singularity into the lobby, aiming at having it blossom just by the most logical cover: the desk. It should at least complicate their situation, but it's not a very strong singularity.
Leah continues towards the agency doorway, but seems to reconsider as the enemy shuttle exposes its broadside MG, as she'll be exposed to it. She cusses under her breath and sharply turns back towards the shuttle.
The shuttle's side door closes and about five seconds later it turns around. It sends off a few rocket-propelled grenades towards the wall outside where he suspects Jelvan is; salarian-shaped heat signature other than the one in the lobby. The shuttle's barriers are still up.
The asari uses her own biotics to get her out of range of the singularity, but the injured salarian gets dragged into it and floats upward. The rounds coming through the wall is enough to kill him. The asari makes it around the corner and in cover from the machine gun fire. "You're making a mistake," she says over the comms. "Let Darennon go."
Jasper unharnesses and grabs his Avenger from a small alcove beside the pilot's seat. He starts towards the cargo compartment, pressing a hand against the wall as he does. "What's the situation in there, Chief? I'm hearin' a whole lotta gunfire." he asks over comms.
Vasquez keeps firing at the asari in cover, likely shredding most of the desk, but she is interrupted by the loud explosions behind her. She takes cover behind an intact section of wall and looks at Darennon's room. Upon realizing what's happening she sprints over to the door, dropping the Confetti Maker on the floor and starting to type in the code to unlock the door.
Mendez hunches down as the explosion lets off, pressing himself against the shuttle for cover. "They're firing rockets out here!" he shouts over comms.
Leah books it back towards the shuttle, and not a moment too soon, apparently, as the explosion behind her tosses her to the ground. She rolls onto her side and covers hers head with her arms.
Jasper is caught off guard by the loud blast and nearly falls over. He manages to grab one of the handholds in the cargo bay just in time as his hat slips off his head.
The shuttle stops firing after the wall's taken down by it and moves in to land by the new entrance.
The salarian merc falls limp to the floor when the singularity dissipates. The asari remains behind cover, her kinetic barrier taking what remains of Vasquez' fire after the wall and the desk.
Jelvan gets to the ground and covers his head after the walls start showing signs of breaking, his armor's barriers shielding him from the shrapnel.
Vasquez enters Jelvan's room as soon as the door slides open, shooting a quick glance at the crumbling wall before jogging up to the salarian, grabbing him by the arm and trying to force him along out of the room.
Leah manages to protect herself from any serious damage by the debris. She rises to her knee and fumbles around for a moment until she finds her Mattock.
Renala taps on her omni-tool frantically, locking the door to the lobby from the conference room then disabling the wireless network driver cutting her off as well. "Got the lobby locked down," she says over Redorck comms. "There's only two of them in there." She then moves into the conference room, and picks up the weapon Vasquez let her borrow.
Jelvan is dragged up, but is not able to fight back with his restraints. He thus follows vasquez out of the room.
Mendez rises up to his feet and quickly levels his Katana back at the enemy shuttle. He begins moving towards it, waiting for any sign of an enemy exiting.
Jasper remains in the cargo bay of the shuttle, watching the action unfold outside. "The agency is under attack." he announces over comms as he reaches down and scoops up his hat, "These fellas got some heavy artillery. Puttin' quite a hurtin' on us!"
Vasquez drags Jelvan into her own office, keeping a tight grip of his arm. She activates her comms: "T'Iavay, fall back to my office and guard the prisoner! Outside team, neutralize that shuttle!"
The asari remains behind cover for the time being, letting her shields recharge. The shuttle door opens after it's set down and the MG aims around before settling on Mendez, holding fire unless the man takes another step. "Last chance," he says over the comms to Renala and Vasquez. "Give us the salarian and we're gonna forgive this. Oh, and let any of our people still alive in there leave."
Renala nods and jogs back to Vasquez office, weapon aimed down. She ignores the comm chatter and defers to the chief on that one.
Vasquez looks rather annoyed as her orders are interrupted. She switches to the attacker's channel while handing Jelvan over to Renala. "Not gonna happen. Run or die." She moves out into the hallway, grabbing her machinegun from the floor and readying it.
Mendez stutter steps as the door slides open to reveal the MG trained on him. He puts one hand forward, palm outward, and aims the barrel of his Katana upward. He slowly tosses the shotgun a few feet in front of himself and keeps his hands somewhat raised. "Leah." he says calmly over comms, "Gonna need a hand over here."
Renala pushes the salarian towards the wall with the window and keeps her weapon trained on him, "Stay there." She remains by the door to the hallway.
"Anybody make a move and I'll shoot!" the gunman shouts, finger resting dangerously close to the trigger. "I'm only here for Darennon. Nobody needs to get hurt."
Leah reaches up and touches her helmet, looking slightly disoriented by the explosion. As she hears Mendez, she begins to pull it together. She remains where she is, on one knee, and looks over at the shuttle. She begins to build up biotic energy.
Mendez stays where he is. "How about you fuck yourself?" he groans, "Nobodies moving. But if you think you're just gonna walk away from this, you got another thing coming." Mendez chuckles loudly, and somewhat morbidly, to himself, "I can promise you this much: as soon as I get my hands on you, you're a dead man."
Vasquez looks around for the asari after re-enabling the thermal scanner. Assuming she's still behind the counter, she moves into the conference room, making her way east with a hasty walk - it seems she's trying to repeat her earlier trick.
Vaden has finally arrived after running several blocks on foot, he has taken cover behind a parked car on the street outside the Redrock HQ, on the far side of the shuttle. He's trying to see if he might be able to move closer without being seen. He can be heard panting loudly when activating team comms. "Am here. Far-... far side... of shuttle. Can I help?"
The human man chuckles and fires off a 5-shot burst to cover himself while closing the shuttle doors given the fact the salarian didn't emerge from the improvised entrance.
Mendez stutters backwards as a couple of the shots impact his shields causing him to fall onto his ass. He slams his fist against the ground in frustration and quickly grabs his shotgun as he climbs back to his feet. Out of sheer anger, he begins emptying shots into the side of the shuttle.
Vasquez curses as the asari starts moving away, considering trying to hit her through the wall anyway, but deciding against it and making her way back to the corridor. She peaks through one of the newly made holes in the wall to see what the asari's next course of action is, cycling back to her second thermal clip meanwhile.
Leah watches as the shuttle door slides shut. "Looks like they're pulling back." she announces over comms, "Might be our chance to disengage and get inside. I don't want to be caught out here when that thing decides to send more rockets our way." she stands back up and starts towards the front door.
Mendez grunts some sort of response and begins backstepping towards the Redrock shuttle as he lets off a few more shots at the enemy vehicle. He glances over his shoulder at Jasper and gestures towards the agency door with a nod of his head.
The shuttle starts taking the hits as the barrier goes down, but it doesn't remain on the ground for more than a few seconds before slowly lifting off.
Vasquez activates her comms and is about to respond to Leah, but when the asari opens fire at Leah she instead takes aim with the Confetti Maker and opens fire.
Leah is caught off guard by the asari and catches the brunt of the damage at close range, decimating her shields. She unleashes the biotic energy built up in a wildly aimed throw and skitters towards the outside wall, hoping to reach it before the asari can get off another shot.
Jasper hops out of the shuttle with a pained grunt and looks towards the shuttle. He aims his Avenger at it but, not being in any rush to attract the shuttle's wraith, he rethinks his decision and lowers his rifle. His attention is quickly pulled to the gunshot at the front door.
Mendez looks towards the door as Leah is shot and presses a gauntleted hand against Jasper's chest, holding him in place. "We're comin' in through the hole." he announces over comms, "You got that handled, Leah?" He doesn't wait for a response before ushering Jasper towards the newly installed entrance.
The asari is thrown back by the throw as the fire from behind made her glance over her shoulder. She falls backwards, but holds onto her shotgun and thus firing a round at the ceiling. She is still exposed to Vasquez, as well as people outside the door.
Vaden had just emerged from his cover and started heading towards the shuttle, but when it takes off he sprints back into cover, clearly having no idea what to do.
Vasquez is forced to briefly stop firing while cycling to her fourth and final thermal clip, but she soon starts hailing down AP rounds towards the asari once more, having a bit more trouble hitting now due to the target's prone position.
Leah presses against the outside wall and remains in place as Vasquez' rounds tear through the lobby. "I'll do what I can." she responds over comms to Mendez. "Does anyone have eyes on that shuttle?"
The shots makes quick work of what's left of her barrier while she gets up, and five of them connects afterwards, making her fall back on the ground. It's not easy to tell if she's still alive, but she lays still.
Mendez continues towards the hole in the wall with Jasper in tow. "Don't lose sight of it." he replies, "That things armed to the teeth."
Jasper raises his attention to the roof momentarily upon hearing Vaden. He gains a little more pep in his step and jogs through the opening in the wall.
Renala remains at the doorway to Vasquez' office, aiming her gun at the salarian standing against the opposite wall.
Vasquez keeps the trigger of her machinegun pressed down for several seconds after the asari stops moving, spending her entire thermal clip and ending with an angered cry followed by: "You don't get to fucking blow up my building!"
The asari lifts her head slightly before it falls back again, the rest of her muscles loosing strength. Then, her omni-tool flashes to life for a second before going out again, the dead salarian hostile's omni-tool following suit.
Mendez continues into the hallway. He lowers his shotgun and stacks up on the door he just entered from to keep watch outside.
Jasper scuttles into the hall with Mendez, looking a bit shaken. He moves further down the hall, towards Vasquez' office.
Leah pokes her head out once Vasquez' gunfire halts to get a look at the lobby. "Hold your fire, Chief." she requests over comms, "Hostiles down. We need to get ready for that shuttle." she says as she steps into the lobby.
Vasquez stares at Leah with a rather unsettling expression, but then nods several times taking a quick look at the holographic display of her gun before pressing a button that causes the thermal clip cycler to slide out and then eject all four spent clips. "I'm open to ideas... and where the hell is the militia?"
Mendez remains at the door, keeping watch outside. "Didn't see any sign of them. Hope these assholes don't have backup coming."
The shuttle is still on the roof. "I've just gotten orders to terminate the salarian if he can't come," he says over the comms to Vasquez and Renala who has that channel. "You can still hand him over before I start tearing up this hole."
Leah takes a knee beside the asari and checks for any signs of life. "Vaden is still outside. Might want to get him back in here and prepare to turtle up."
Vasquez looks up at the ceiling when she hears the attackers on the radio. She flips channels and responds: "The militia is gonna be here soon. You think you can handle them too? We're not giving your man up."
No response can be heard as the shuttle takes off from the roof, circling around to get into position.
Mendez keeps monitoring outside, "Anybody care to fill me in on what this is about?" he asks, "We know who these guys are?"
Vasquez switches to team comms while starting to load new thermal clips into her weapon. "They're trying to rescue our prisoner. Slaver gang or something." She pauses briefly, staring at the floor.
Leah sighs and stands from the salarian's side. "Since we're not handing him over, I take it that means we still haven't got Rellis' location from him?" she asks.
Vasquez nods - although it's unlikely Leah can see it through the shredded wall. "Correct. And I have no intention of giving him up to these assholes. Everyone get into the shuttle, we're abandoning base!" She slams the thermal clip unit back into place in her gun.
The shuttle stops in the air after getting into position, and starts laying down fire on the wall outside Vasquez' office, not concerned with keeping whoever's inside alive. He uses the same kind of weaponry as last time. The shuttle is 8 meters above the ground, 15 away from the wall.
Vaden yells something about shuttle moving over the comms, but it wouldn't be enough to give much warning.
Renala raises her brows. "Get moving!" she says to the salarian before stepping out of the room and stepping aside to let the salarian through first.
Jasper moves towards Vasquez as he speaks. "We'd be sittin' ducks out there." he says, "Best if we get Vaden inside and take the other shuttle. It's in better condition anyway."
Vasquez looks at the man for a moment and then nods. "Shuttle bay, everyone, we're taking the second shuttle! Noran, stay low and don't let them know you're here! We're not gonna be able to pick you up."
Jelvan is about to start moving when a round hit the wall just outside him, making him stumble forward without any hands to catch the fall or get up easily. He tries moving towards the door with a slow speed.
Renala looks into the room. "I disabled the wireless connection in case our guests would abuse it," she says over the comms. "Anywhere else in this building we can get the garage door powered from?"
Mendez looks down the hall upon feeling, and hearing, the impact of the rockets. "Shit, sounds like they're at it again." he says.
Leah hurries towards the door to the conference room. Upon seeing the red interface, she pokes at it for a moment until it turns green and the door slides open. "You saying we can't get out of the shuttle bay?" she asks over comms.
Jasper sucks in a deep breath. "Chief... I know it ain't exactly the smoothest getaway, but-..." he pauses, thinking about how to eloquently phrase his suggestion. After a moment, he shrugs, "Could just run that big sum'bitch through the damn door."
Vasquez shoots a glance at her office door. "For fucks sake, T'Iavay, get the salarian moving!" She heads into the conference room, and onwards, responding to Jasper meanwhile. "Bust through, one more hole isn't gonna matter!"
Another shot impacts the wall hard, making the window shatter and the rest to crumble, but he keeps at it.
Leah meets up with Vasquez in the conference room and follows behind her. "Me and shuttles aren't on good terms this week..." she sighs.
Renala enters the conference room last, dropping a singulairty at the office doorway to drag the salarian out of there. "He fell over," she shouts. "Trying to drag him out with a singularity."
A pair of Mantis gunships appear a few hundred meters away, closing fast. They're flying fairly low.
The shuttle keeps firing at the wall despite the alerts of two ships on their way. The salarian is dragged towards the singularity slowly, but a big chuck of the wall topples over in two large pieces, one landing ontop the salarian, pinning him down.
Vasquez , who's still waiting in the conference room, turns around and comes back into the corridor. Upon spotting the salarian she heaves the Confetti Maker onto her back with a grunt and moves up to him to drag him out.
Renala lets her singularity dissipate, but stays there to wait for the chief in case she needs help.
Mendez grunts loudly as Vasquez passes by him and re-enters the hall. "Chief, we really don't have time for this, do we?" he calls after her.
The two gunships are reaching weapons range, and one of them is circling around the building to get a view of the shuttle, while the other one climbs higher. "This is the Freedom Falls Militia! Stand down or we'll open fire!"
Vasquez keeps dragging, hopeful that the now further shattered wall should provide little obstacle in getting the salarian out of the room.
Leah responds over comms. "Is this a good thing, Chief?" she asks, "What's our standing with the militia?"
Mendez groans loudly. "For fucks sake-..." he grunts and assists Vasquez. He grabs one of the salarian's arms and helps in dragging him away.
Jelvan is dragged out of the room successfully, but he's limp. The impact of the rocket propelled grenade can be seen as a large wound on his back.
Vasquez shoots a glance at the collapsed wall and then to the salarian. "Fuck! Mendez, get him to the shuttle!" She's clearly too busy to respond to Leah.
The shuttle fires off another shot towards the people in the room, ignoring the request of the militia.
The militia gunship opens fire with its autocannon at the unknown shuttle. The other Mantis is still hovering overhead, but starts to move to engage.
Mendez moves around to the salarian's lets. He braces himself against the wall as another rocket sends him off-balance. "They're persistent." he states bluntly. After holstering his shotgun on his back, he reaches down and turns the salarian onto his back and grabs him around the waist, effortlessly hurling Jelvan up and over his shoulder. "Let's get out of here."
Jasper enters the bay and hurries towards the shuttle. He pokes at his omni-tool frantically and the door slides open. He quickly boards the shuttle and begins his pre-flight check.
Vaden watches the scene in front of him with wide eyes. "Militia opening fire on shuttle! Everyone okay?"
Renala glances towards the others, and starts jogging towards the shuttle bay. "We're okay," she responds over the comms.
Leah remains in the conference room, waiting for the others. "For now..." she adds. Once Renala starts towards the shuttle bay, Leah joins her.
Vasquez starts backing towards the conference room, eventually turning around and following the others.
The shuttle's barrier doesn't hold long before the rounds start impacting the hull, and he starts flying towards the building in a last desperate move.
The gunship keeps firing rather relentlessly, showing no sign of stopping. The other one remains further up, and doesn't fire, most likely awaiting a possible getaway attempt.
Mendez marches through the conference room with the salarian draped over his shoulder as he makes his way to the shuttle bay.
Jasper quickly runs through his mental checklist and starts the shuttle up. "We're up 'n' runnin', Chief! How we handlin' Vaden?" he asks over comms.
The shuttle alters course again and tries to speed up, but the shots get it and it explodes just 5 meters away from the roof, evoking a rather blinding blast, but it wouldn't damage the building much.
Vasquez enters the shuttle bay and jogs towards the shuttle. "He'll-..." She's interrupted by the roaring explosion, causing her to stop and look towards the other end of the building. "Fucking hell! Noran, report!"
Leah stops beside Vasquez and places a hand against the side of the shuttle, allowing her Mattock to hang limply in her other hand. "What's the order, Chief?" she asks upon hearing Vaden, "We still bugging out?"
Mendez winces at the explosion, glancing up towards the ceiling arbitrarily. He stops just inside the shuttle bay with, holding onto the salarian loosely as he awaits Vasquez' decision.
Vasquez tears her gaze away from the door they just came from and looks to Leah. "We need get Jelvan and T'Iavay to the clinic. I'll get the militia on comms and explain the situation."
Leah nods once and hoists herself up into the shuttle. "Understood." she says as she takes a seat near the opposite door.
The first Mantis ceases fire when the hostile shuttle explodes, but remains in place. The second one sets down in the parking area and a team of armed militiamen emerge, weapons raised.
Vasquez sends out an open comm alert to all nearby receivers. "This is Chief Linda Vasquez of the Redrock Agency. The situation is under control in here. Our shuttle is going to take our injured to the clinic, don't fire on it. I'm coming out to talk."
Renala steps into the shuttle and takes a seat. The back of her jacket has some blood stains on it, but it makes it look less bad than it is, and the medi-gel keeps the pain suppressed for now.
Jasper pokes at the shuttle's interface as he speaks, "Uhh, Chief?" he calls out, "Might wanna let these folks know that we ain't got no way to open the door at the moment. Last thing we need is to get shot ta' shit comin' outta here."
Mendez walks up to the shuttle and lays the salarian inside. He grabs a handhold and pulls himself into the shuttle with a grunt. Once inside, he proceeds to lift the salarian back up and lay him across a set of seats before taking one himself.
Vasquez can be seen nodding to herself as if someone is responding to her over the open channel. She turns to the shuttle. "You're good to go. I'll hitch a ride with the militia once I've explained everything."
Leah removes a cannister of medi-gel from her suit and tosses it to Mendez who is sitting beside the salarian. "Want me to stay behind with you, Chief? Just to be safe?"
Mendez catches the cannister and lifts the salarian's upper body off the seat. He begins applying it generously just to be safe.
Vasquez shakes her head. "Should be fine. Militia seems friendly enough - glad to see they're holding up their end of the deal. Now go, we can't lose Jelvan."
Jelvan 's wound was already covered somewhat by the suit's medi-gel systems, but it wasn't enough for the large wound. Mendez's application seals it completely.
Mendez sits Jelvan up and harnesses him in place before settling into his own harness. "We're good to go!" he calls up to Jasper.
Jasper gives a shout as the door slides shut. "Hold onto 'yer butts!" The shuttle slowly lifts and rotates to face the doors. After a short pause, the Kodiak jerks forward and thrusts right through the door, tearing it off the side of the building. The loud crunch of metal-on-metal echoes through the air, but the kodiak is unharmed. Jasper makes no attempt at stopping, instead he raises the shuttle's altitude and proceeds towards the hospital.
Renala winces when the shuttle goes through the door, but sighs relieved as it's still flying just fine afterwards.
Leah shuts her eyes and bites down hard. "I've just about had enough bad experiences with shuttles for one lifetime." she groans.
Mendez furrows his brow through the loud crunch, but otherwise doesn't react. "Hope the salarian was worth it." he grunts.
Vasquez remains at the Redrock HQ for some time, talking to the militia, collecting the omni-tools from the fallen mercs and then finally investigating the crash site alongside militia personnel.
The shuttle can be seen on the ground, or what remains of it. The part of it where the eezo core is obliterated. It's shape is still somewhat intact, but most of the hull is strewn about. The turian and human whow as in the shuttle are both dead, their armored forms charred. Dust-form element zero is in the air around the wreckage.
Leah cracks a smile and shakes her head at Renala's joke. "I suppose that's something to be happy about." she sighs, "That was a lot of damage back there. Bet that cost us a fair amount of credits..."
Vasquez makes her way away from the debris of the shuttle as soon as she picks up the eezo traces, moving to a safe distance.
Renala sighs. "Yeah, and probably long days of work to fix it up," she says. "I'll have to look at the security, too, since getting control of the building's locks was way too easy."
Mendez shakes his head. "What we need is some real security. Defenses. Should've been considered already. It's easy to make enemies in our line of work. Need to make sure we're not caught off guard by a simple shuttle like that again."
Good point, but we'll have to address the security flaws of the network before plugging an AA gun onto it.
I'm just saying that should come first. I haven't really looked at it before, so I don't know yet what needs changing and how much work it's going to be.
The shuttle begins to approach the #Hospital and Jasper sends out a message to the staff that they have someone that requires immediate medical attention.
