#Hospital – November 13, 2014

Renala enters the hospital, in full armor this time with a Locust visibly holstered. She doesn't look around before beelining towards Mendez' position. "Hey," she says. "Anything happen while I was gone?"

Mendez is still seated in the same chair. He shakes his head upon hearing Renala's question. "Been quiet. How about on your end? Get any information?" (Jason_Wolfe)

Renala nods. "Looks like they've got a deadline from Rellis to let him go," she says, taking a seat. "He told us to not let anyone see him and let them know once something isn't right."

Mendez sighs loudly. "Great. Deadlines are never a good sign..." (Jason_Wolfe)

Renala sighs. "Tell me about it," she says. "I thought I escaped that crap by signing up with mercs." She hears her omni-tool beep and reads the message with a raised eyebrow.

Mendez straightens up in his seat. "So how long have we got before they storm the castle for their friend?" he asks, not sounding particularly happy with the situation. (Jason_Wolfe)

Renala stands up. "He didn't say, but if I'm to guess: not very long," she says. "Jason wants us to grab our buddy and get him out of here. Jasper's on his way." She types a quick response on her omni-tool before shutting the interface off.

Mendez grunts loudly, but doesn't bother asking any questions. "Hopefully that doesn't mean we're out of time." he mutters as he begins marching towards the salarian's room, "Any idea if Halisi is still around? Might be a good idea to let someone know we're 'checking out' the patient..." (Jason_Wolfe)

Renala follows him, as he knows better than her about what's going on. "No idea," she ays. "I haven't seen her in a while, though."

Mendez glances around for Halisi as he continues towards Jelvan's room. "Well I'm not waiting around." he says. As he nears the door to Jelvan's room, he calls out to the nearest doctor walking the halls, "It's time for our friend here to go home." he says. (Jason_Wolfe)

Mendez gives Halisi a nod in turn. "Appreciate it. Trust me when I say it's best for everyone if this little shit isn't here right now..." he says as he pushes open the door. (Jason_Wolfe)

Renala smiles. "Thanks," she says. "If there's any paperwork to do, it'd have to be quick." She falls into step after Mendez.

Halisi takes out her omni-tool, discreetly checking to make sure offensive programs are ready. "I'll handle that. You go."

Jelvan is still in the hospital bed. There's a few wires connected to him, but they're just sensors to monitor vital signs.

Mendez takes a few steps towards Jelvan but pauses. He glances back over his shoulder towards Halisi. "Is it safe to just-..." the large man shrugs, "Yank this shit out?" (Jason_Wolfe)

Halisi raises an eyebrow. "That's... just the sensors. He's fine to move."

Mendez shrugs and moves beside the bed. "Can you walk?" he asks sternly. (Jason_Wolfe)

Jelvan considers it for a second. "Haven't tried," he responds. "Can move feet. Where are we going?"

Renala remains quiet, but is clearly anxious to get going.

Mendez grabs Jelvan by the shoulder and urges him up. "None of your business." he says non-chalantly, "Get up." (Jason_Wolfe)

Jelvan is 'helped' up and turns to sit on the bedside. "Suppose I'll find out anyway," he comments.

Mendez furrows his brow and gives the salarian a rather harsh nudge. "Not if I beat you to death before we get there. C'mon. Haul ass. We don't have all fucking day." (Jason_Wolfe)

Jelvan frowns and gets up. His legs are relatively unharmed, so he manages to stand. "I'm not dead yet. Must be a reason," he says, "even after attackers tried to kill me." The salarian is not really dressed for the autumn weather outside, only having a hospital gown.

Mendez continues to nudge Jelvan, urging him out the door. "Talk, talk, talk. You never stop talking. Less talk, more walk." he grunts. (Jason_Wolfe)

Renala chuckles. "Typical," she says. "If you need something to talk about, there's a few encryption keys you could recite for me."

Jelvan sighs, and starts walking towards the door, suddenly not very interested to talk.

Mendez follows right behind Jelvan, bumping into him purposefully to urge him forward. "I'm going to be a happy man when you're out of my life." he grunts. (Jason_Wolfe)

Jelvan mutters, "not my fault," as he continues, stumbling a little as he hasn't walked a lot the last few days. He makes his way out to the hallway, not saying any more.

Mendez shakes his head, "If you would've told us what we needed to know, this would've all been over a long time ago. Instead, you've told us everything but what we need." He continues down the hall towards the lobby. (Jason_Wolfe)

Jelvan makes his way towards the exit, guessing that's where Mendez would prod him should he decide another path. He stays quiet, however.

Mendez continues to nudge Jelvan towards the exit every few moments in an annoying manner. (Jason_Wolfe)

Renala follows after the others, glancing out a window. "That's our shuttle, right?" she bobs her head towards it.

Jelvan keeps moving at the same pace despite Mendez' attempts.

Mendez gives a nod. "Yeah. Any idea where we're taking him?" (Jason_Wolfe)

Renala thinks for a second, bringing up her omni-tool to check the most recent messages from Jason. "He didn't say as much," she says. "Maybe he's planning on handing him over?"

Mendez simply grunts and shoves Jelvan lightly towards the door. "Maybe... We'll see I guess..." (Jason_Wolfe)

Jelvan makes his way through the door, shuddering a bit as he steps on the ground outside barefooted, but he keeps moving in the direction of the shuttle.

Mendez follows right behind Jelvan and gives him a hand getting into the shuttle, albeit somewhat roughly, before hopping in himself. (Jason_Wolfe)

Jelvan lets himself be helped inside without another word, taking a seat in the shuttle. At least the floor's not as cold as the ground outside.

Renala enters the shuttle last, taking a seat by the door before closing it. "You really like pushing people around, huh?" she says to Mendez, although her tone isn't too serious.

Jasper calls back from the cockpit, "Not entirely sure what's going on. Just got a message from Jason to come pick you folks up and take ya down to the spaceport. You know what the deal is?" (Jason_Wolfe)

Mendez gives a shrug. "I've had enough of this little shit. He's brought us nothing but trouble." he says plainly and goes quiet as he hears Jasper's question. (Jason_Wolfe)

Renala shakes her head. "I don't, but I guess we'll know soon," she says. "Jason said they'll meet up with us at the spaceport, and told us to bring our new friend." She gestures towards the salarian.

Mendez takes a seat and presses his back firmly against the wall before strapping himself in. (Jason_Wolfe)

Jasper pokes at his omni-tool for a few moments before the shuttle begins to lift up. "Alright, well nothing new, I suppose. Nobody ever tells me anything anyway. Just 'Jasper, go here. Jasper, go there. Jasper, clean up this mess. Jasper, turn coal into diamonds.' " he bickers as the shuttle slowly begins to lift up. (Jason_Wolfe)

Renala chuckles. "Don't think you're alone about that," she says. "They're not very good at keeping the people on the ground up-to-date."

Mendez stares straight ahead, trying not to think about the flight too much. "That's not uncommon. We're just grunts. I'm sure they'll tell us anything we need to know." he says. (Jason_Wolfe)

Renala nods. "I still haven't heard anything about the job, though," she says. "For all I know, I could be wasting my time trying to crack the encryption."
