Uvena looks up at Va'ynna in mock thoughtfulness, tilting her head. "I know a thing or two about spies, and Va'ynna is definitely not one," she says, her tone still light-hearted. "Or maybe she's a really good one." She shrugs, before giving her daughter a gentle nudge. "I mean, you can go next, dear."

Va'ynna lets out a long sigh, and shakes her head, but she fails to suppress the smile on her face. At Uvena's instruction, she looks down at the last gift in her lap, and turns it over in her hands a few times. It's the one from Victoria. "What could it be?" she ponders aloud before she starts to tear it open.
Victoria remains silent while Va'ynna opens her gift and simply gives a shrug to Va'ynna's question. Once the gift wrap is removed it would reveal a small black box, inside the box is a silver bracelet that has a anchor charm attached to it.
Sarah lets out a small sigh, happy to see the teasing has ended for now. She watches as Va'ynna opens her gift.
Uvena raises her brows at seeing the gift at first, but the immediate thought is quickly pushed away as she sees more of it. "You really are all about the shiny things," she comments idly.
Va'ynna is quick to pop the box open and she pulls out the bracelet. "I like... shiny things, though," she says. "Thank you." She smiles as she holds the charm over her hand, trying to discern what the symbol means. Is it a letter in some alhabet?
Victoria gives a chuckle at Uvena. "Well, I got a image to uphold. I just have a way of finding nice shiny things." She looks at Va'ynna. "The charm is a anchor. Ships used them to keep themselves from getting lost at sea if they had to stop." She stops for a moment and looks a little embarrassed before she continues. "I... uh... guess I'm saying you're my anchor."
Sarah looks at the gift that Va'ynna received with a raised eyebrow at first, a smile comes to her face when she hears her sister explanation of the gift.
Va'ynna nods at the explanation, but her smile fades. While the icon was unfamiliar to her, the word is not, and she studies the charm thoughtfully. "Oh," she says. "It's... because I'm... keeping you on the ground?"
Uvena lets out a soft laugh at the explanation, especially the last part where it sounded like she just made the connection, but her smile fades in turn when she notices that her daughter doesn't find the humor in it.
Victoria eyes go wide at Va'ynna interpretation and shakes her head. "No... I did not mean it like that." For once, Victoria actually looks a little flustered. "I meant it like... You keep me from getting lost." She looks down and rubs the back of her head.
Va'ynna looks up at Victoria, taking her eyes off the charm for now. It's true, though. Other than the emergency rescue on Redrock's behalf, Victoria has just taken the lead on one shipping run. But seeing Victoria like this, she realizes now is not the time; even if she cannot will the guilt away. "Oh, that's... I... I'm sorry," she says. "That's... a lovely thought. Thank you."
Victoria sits in silence for a moment, thinking to herself that she should've gotten another gift instead for Va'ynna. Upon hearing Va'ynna's thanks, she looks at Va'ynna and places a hand on her knee. "Yeah, no problem." Still a little flustered.
Va'ynna puts the bracelet back into its box and closes it. "I mean it," she says. "It's... a lovely bracelet." She shifts closer to Victoria and plants a brief kiss on her cheek.
Victoria smiles at the brief kiss, she squeezes Va'ynna knee for a quick second and leans into Va'ynna. Her previous flustered state no longer being obivious.
Uvena grins as the awkward misinterpretations have been straightened out. "For the smallest moment, I worried you were setting her up for a bonding ceremony, Victoria," she says, only half joking. "It's not something you spring on someone like that, but you wouldn't be the first to do it that way."
Va'ynna lays her head on Victoria's shoulder, a weak amused snort leaving her at Uvena's comment. She casts a glance down at the gift in Victoria's lap, and her expression grows unsure.
Victoria is caught a little off guard by Uvena's comment. "Oh, are you saying you want me as a daughter-in-law, Uvena?" Trying to find a way to catch Uvena off guard.
Uvena meets her eyes, narrowing hers for a moment. The term translates well enough for Uvena to get the gist of it. "It is not my place to answer that," she says. "You should make that proposal to Va'ynna when the time is right."
Va'ynna blushes, and lifts her head to give Uvena a pointed stare, but it's right back on Victoria's shoulder a second later.
Victoria just gives Uvena a goofy smile and shakes her head at her. "Did you want to open your gift next, Uvena? Or did you want to be lucky last?" Trying to move it along to save herself and Va'ynna both.
Va'ynna gives a small smile when Victoria relents, and she sits up straight to not get in the way of her opening it. She does cast a glance Uvena's way before turning her attention to Victoria.
Victoria nods at Uvena and proceeds to open her gift from Va'ynna. Carefully taking apart the gift wrap and throwing the wrapping to the side once the present is free.
