Uvena started the first vid that she came across in the holiday recommendations she had checked out earlier in the afternoon. It's clearly meant for a younger audience than those present, but she didn't care. The movie is set in the present day and is about a group of four children on the Citadel (asari, turian girl, human boy, salarian boy) exploring where they shouldn't. They stumble upon Santa Claus in a hidden workshop, and

they learn that the Geth-Grinch has stolen the special eezo core to the Sled-Ship. Christmas would be cancelled. The human child, Nick, insists on getting it back, to much resistance from his three peers. He spends most of the time convincing the others -- an hour of drama to pad out the runtime --, and then gives up and goes to get it on his own. The others swoop in to save the day when his attempt goes predictably south,
however. In the end, the manage to get it back just in time for Santa to be on his way to deliver gifts to distant worlds and stations. The credits name worryingly few humans, but at least some were involved.
It is almost 10pm in the evening when the credits roll, as vids tend to drag on when asari are in the director's role.
Uvena is leant back in the couch with a cookie in hand, a wide smile as the movie comes to a close. She sighs. "I... didn't realize it was going to go on for this long," she says, but her tone doesn't sound very apologetic.
Va'ynna let out a faint affirmative hum, and she may have been out at some points during the vid. It's not that she is uninterested in it, the asari is just exhausted and tired. She is leaning on Victoria, head on her shoulder.
Sarah watched the vid with her complete attention, taking in all the details of the film. Sarah enjoyed watching a majority of these seasonal vids at this time of the year. She nods in agreement with Uvena. "But it was an enjoyable vid."
Victoria did not pay much attention to the vid, something about Santa on the Citadel was all she really gathered from it. She was in the same state as Va'ynna tried and exhausted from the events of today, and did doze off a couple of times during the vid. She yawns before she speaks. "I would never expect that the man in red was on Citadel."
Uvena chuckles at Victoria's comment. "He had to scale out his operation after joining the galactic community with the rest of you," she says. "Nick asked him the same question." She gives Sarah a small smile, and a mock mutter about sleepyheads under her breath.
Va'ynna gives a faint nod, yawning along with Victoria. "Sorry," she murmurs. "I... did enjoy it. It's... just late."
Victoria leans back in her seat, she pulls Va'ynna closer to her, if at all possible. "Yeah, guess he did have to pack up shop so he can get to everyone." Vicky was more or less trying her best to keep the conversation going, despite her tired state.
Uvena nods to Victoria. "Still, that Eezo core must be pretty special to get him around the galaxy in one night," she says with a shrug. "Even Sanves-Thessia takes longer than that." She takes a bite out of the cookie in her hand. "Maybe we should get going soon," she says, looking Sarah's way, "lest we risk having to carry them to bed, I mean."
Va'ynna shifts around to lean into Victoria's pull, though she was already pretty close. "Oh, you...," she begins to protest, but a yawn cuts her off. "I... yeah, we... can always meet in the next few days."
Victoria stretches with her free arm. "Space magic, Santa has space magic." She says with a yawn. "You could always just throw a blanket on top of us."
Sarah gives a nod to Uvena. "That might be a good idea." She looks Va'ynna's way when she starts to protest and smiles when it changes after the yawn. "Yeah, we have to do that shopping trip."
Uvena eats the rest of the cookie. "Yeah, it must be space magic," she agrees with Victoria before standing up with a grunt. "I suppose, but let's not let it come to that," she says and casts a glance around the apartment. "Thanks again for inviting me over, I've had a lovely evening." She walks over to the kitchen, and begins to move some of the leftovers that have cooled off to the fridge; fearing that the hosts may
Va'ynna loosens her grip on Victoria as Uvena gets up and lifts her head up. She nods to Sarah before she looks Uvena's way. "Thanks for... coming," she says.
Victoria nods at Uvena. "Glad to hear you enjoyed your night." She looks over to her sister. "Hope you enjoyed your night as well." Once Va'ynna's grip is loosen, she attempts to stand up and moves over to assist Uvena pack away the leftovers.
Sarah stands up from her seat with ease, she gives her sister a nod. "Yeah, it was a great evening." She looks at Va'ynna. "I will see you when we go on that shopping trip." She says with a smile.
Uvena is almost done when Victoria gets there, leaving her just one. "I was worried the two of you would forget," she says with a soft laugh.
Va'ynna frowns as Victoria gets up, but she does stand up as well, wobbling a bit in place before walking around the couch. "I'll see you," she says to Sarah.
Victoria takes the last plate of leftovers and puts them away in the fridge. "Thanks Uvena. Would've been horrible to wake up to spoiled food."
Sarah slowly makes her way to the door, making sure the hosts are ready to see her off before leaving.
Uvena steps away from the fridge, but leaves it open for Victoria to put the last piece away. "I know, the food's too god for that," she says, "so you're welcome." She then crosses the room to wrap Va'ynna up in a hug. "I'm sorry for keeping you up, Va'ynna," she says with a slight laugh in her tone. "You look barely concious!"
Va'ynna returns the hug after a moment. "I'm... I'm fine," she murmurs. "Thanks again for... the gift. It... it means so much to me."
Uvena lets go of the hug after a moment, hand still on Va'ynna's arm. "You too, Va'ynna," she says. "I'll see you soon."
Victoria shuts the fridge after the last plate is in. She moves over to her sister and gives her a hug. "Thanks for coming, sis." She lets go of the hug after a short while.
Uvena lets go of Va'ynna's arm. "Good," she says. "I won't keep you any longer then." She goes to gather her gift by the couch, and then find her plastic bag to carry it in before heading over to get dressed.
Victoria looks over to where her sister was seat and then back at Sarah. "Forgetting something?" She asks with a raised eyebrow.
Sarah tilts her head at her sister, she then looks back to her seat. She left her gifts at her chair, she shakes her head and makes her way over to collect her gifts.
