Va'ynna passes a look Uvena's way as Victoria begins to unrwap the gift. She fidges nervously with her hands.

The gift unwraps to a folded red velvety piece of clothing wrapped in transparent plastic. There is a label on it that shows the dress on a sky-blue asari model, as well as a few specifications about the sizing. The dress is not modest by any stretch; it's backless and has two long pieces of cloth reaching up past the chest to around the neck. They are wide enough to sit comfortably without the risk of a wardrobe malfunction at
Victoria decides to leave the dress in the plastic as she looks at the label, looking at the picture of the dress and the sizing. She leans over and gives Va'ynna a kiss on the cheek. "It's a great dress, Vay." She looks at the label. "Once it is warm enough, I'll be wearing it on a date with you."
Sarah watches her sister open her gift to reveal a red dress. Althrough she could not see the actual design, her sister's remarks gives her a slight idea of how the dress looks.
Va'ynna tenses up when Victoria studies the dress, but her reaction -- and kiss -- makes her breath a sigh of relief. "I'm... uh, I'm looking forward to that," she said, blushing a bit. "I think it'll look good on you, it... matches your hair."
Uvena keeps her smile up as she watches the two of them, giving Va'ynna a gentle pat on the shoulder after Va'ynna's sigh of relief. "I told you," she stage whispers to her.
Victoria smiles at Va'ynna her smile turns into a grin. "Oh you are? Now I wonder why that is." Taking a chance to tease Va'ynna again.
Uvena tilts her head. "I say you set expectations of her choice of dress for that date, Victoria," she said.
Victoria laughs at feeling the gentle nudge, she then looks at Uvena. "Oh? Now that sounds like a fair deal. I'll have to have some time to think about that one." She leans back in her seat and gives Va'ynna a slight nudge. "What do you say, Va'ynna?"
Va'ynna nudges Victoria back, and shakes her head. "I... don't agree to this," she says. "I don't trust your intentions." The tone of her voice grows a little more light at the last statement, as she may realize how hypocritical it is after what she got Victoria.
Victoria raises an eyebrow at Va'ynna, she looks down at the dress then back at Va'ynna. "You don't trust my intentions? I feel like your intentions are quite clear with this gift." Getting in another chance to tease Va'ynna, her usual grin on her face.
Sarah shakes her head again at her sister's teasing, and figures it time to throw Va'ynna another lifeline. "Uvena, would you like to open your gift?"
Uvena shakes her head at Sarah, letting out a laugh. "Let's not interrupt their moment just yet," she says.
Va'ynna looks thoughtful for a moment, before letting out a small sigh. "Maybe," she says, lowering her voice, "but... you can... you have the confidence to wear it, I think."
Victoria gives a shrug. "My confidence is just me not giving a damn about what most people think." She throws an arm around Va'ynna's shoulders and pulls her closer. "This dress right here," she pats the dress in her lap "is you showing people what they can't have." She gives Va'ynna's shoulder a squeeze. "How about this, if I choose your dress, I promise it won't be out there."
Sarah lets out a silent sigh, seeing her attempt to help Va'ynna was a miss. She sits silently as she listens into the conversation.
Va'ynna frowns for a moment, and she casts a glance at Uvena. "You set me up," she mutters. Victoria is right, wearing something like that is a statement, but Va'ynna does not have the confidence or strength to back that up. She leans further on Victoria as she's pulled in, shifting a bit to make herself more comfortable, and offers a small nod. "I.... That's fine," she said with some hesitation. She can always
Uvena is still smiling as she listens to the two of them, nodding along with Victoria's words. Va'ynna's mutter doesn't appear to faze her.
Victoria smiles as Va'ynna leans into her. "We'll work out the details later." She gives Va'ynna a quick kiss on the head, before looking down at the dress again and smiling to herself.
Uvena looks at Sarah. "See?" she says. "They didn't need our help." She looks down at the gift in her lap, and she makes quick work of the packaging.
Va'ynna nods to Victoria, smiling at the kiss, before looking over at Uvena. Her smile fades slightly as she waits for her to open the gift from her.
Uvena tilts her head as she holds it up. "Thank you, Va'ynna," she says with a smile. "I can never have too many of these with the kind of weather this world throws at me."
Uvena brushes her off with a laugh, trying to diffuse some of the tension Va'ynna has around her gifts. "It doesn't matter, dear," she says. "Don't forget you put up all these decorations and invited me over." She places a hand on her shoulder. "I'm not lying to you, I can never have too many warm clothes."
Victoria watches the two asari interact, remaining silent for the moment. She nods in agreement with Uvena. "Exactly, the more warm clothes the better. Right?" She stops for a moment. "Probably did not expect it to be this cold here."
Va'ynna nods in agreement with Victoria, but she doesn't say anything. There's still some guilt on her face for not being anywhere close to matching Uvena's gift to her.
Uvena retracts her hand from Va'ynna's shoulder.. "The winter snuck up on me, you're right about that," she said. "The weather was pleasant when I first set foot on this planet." She takes another look at the sweater before folding it up.
Victoria gives another nod at Uvena. "Yeah not gonna lie, did not expect it to get this cold when I first got here. Only started to prepare for it when the locals started talking about how cold it was going to be." She explains.
Sarah looks between the three on the couch. "Guess I was lucky to arrive during winter and already have more than enough winter clothing."
Victoria nods "That's why I did not get you a sweater." She pauses for a moment "I've seen your closet, too many damn sweaters."
