Jason makes his way back to his room and balances the tray on one hand as he uses the other to tap the door's interface. As the door slides open, he steps into the room. "So, how'd it go? We rich yet?" he asks with a sigh.

Vasquez is in the middle of typing something on the computer, and takes a moment before replying. "Not exactly... but the client was willing to take the encrypted data." (Tyranniac)

Jason furrows his brow as he crosses the room and sets the tray beside Vasquez' computer. "You didn't hand it over without getting paid... Right?" he asks, "And what about ol' frog-face?"

Vasquez shakes her head. "We'll make one last try to get some info from him... after that, I don't know." (Tyranniac)

Jason opens one of the containers and grabs his cheeseburger. He takes a large bite out of it, dropping some lettuce on the tray as he does. "So... Did we get paid or not...?" he repeats, talking with his mouth full, "Don't tell me you handed over the only real leverage we had without getting something in return..."

Vasquez finally tears her gaze away from the screen upon smelling the kebab, glancing at Jason and then looking at the food. She immediately grabs it, just barely managing to capture a piece that falls in her haste. Her response is muffled by a mouthful of delicious varren meat. "Obfhcorse whe gob payd!" (Tyranniac)

Jason blinks a couple of times at her disgusting display and reaches for his beer. "Great..." he says as he pops the top off his beer and takes a quick drink, "What's the next step, then? Can we officially check the 'completed' box?" He moves over towards the bed and hops in, burger in one hand, beer in the other.

Vasquez takes a moment to swallow her food before responding. "Well, like I said... still need to figure out what to do with the salarian." She takes another bit of the kebab. (Tyranniac)

Jason nods to himself and sets his beer on the nightstand. "What do you think?" he asks idly as he turns up the volume on the Asajura game, "We gonna be able to break away clean, or will letting him go cause more problems?"

Vasquez ponders the question for a moment. "I really don't know. I'm hoping we can get some info from him on who the hell attacked us. Make a decision from there." (Tyranniac)

Jason stares at the screen as he listens. "Works for me. Oh, speaking of attacks..." he begins, glancing over at Vasquez, "Quick question. Now, I'm not expecting an exact answer. Maybe just round it down for me. About how many of our employees would you say you've drunkenly drawn a gun on over the past month?" he asks smugly.

Vasquez closes her eyes with a sigh, taking a break from eating. "Let's not talk about that." (Tyranniac)

Jason shakes his head. "What happened, Linda?" he asks, "You can't just try to shoot the people that work for us. I know, I know. It's hard... But you gotta try." he says, somewhat lightheartedly.

Vasquez opens her eyes, giving him an uncomfortable look. "I-... I didn't mean-... It won't happen again, because I'm not getting drunk again." (Tyranniac)

Jason nods slowly, glancing over at the unopened beer on the tray. "Okay... Fair enough. So..." he shrugs, "Why'd you feel the need to get drunk in the first place?"

Vasquez is starting to look annoyed. "Look, it was a mistake is all. Okay? Will you drop it?" She turns back towards the computer and takes another bite of kebab. (Tyranniac)

Jason sighs loudly, "Look, I'm not trying to make a big deal out of it, but if there's something wrong, you gotta talk to me, ya know? That's what I'm here for." He reaches for his drink and takes a sip, "To listen to your bullshit." he adds. "I certainly don't hesitate to drop mine in your lap."

Vasquez grunts. "I was... overworked. Figured it wouldn't do any harm... guess I was wrong. You know I've been avoiding drinking after... the injury." (Tyranniac)

Jason nods. "Probably for the best. I've met a lot of people that can't hold their drink but you-..." he lets out a deep breath and shakes his head, "...You take the cake." He chuckles to himself, but quickly fades to an uncomfortable silence for a few moments, "Uhh... Just saying..."

Vasquez shoots him a glare before going back to her work, not saying anything. (Tyranniac)

Jason stands from the bed and makes his way over to Vasquez' side, burger still in-hand. "Well, in that case..." he reaches over and grabs the unopened beer off the tray, "I support your decision one-hundred-and-ten percent." He leans down and kisses the top of her head before walking back towards the bed, "Might want to clear the air with Briggs, though."

Vasquez lets out a faint sigh as Jason goes back to the bed, but continues to type. (Tyranniac)

Jason rolls his eyes as she sighs. "Fine, fine... I know. You've got work to do. I'll leave you alone." he groans.
