#Sacrarium – March 23, 2015
Jason limps back over to Vaden's side and looks down at the salarian sadly. "Are you up to it, Ilyna?" he asks, sounding a bit distant as he stares at his fallen comrade.
Ilyna stands up and moves over to Jason. "Moving him?" she says. "Yeah." Her medi-gel canister is lying beside Damien, but about half of it was used patching him up.
Jason gives the asari a nod. "So long as we each carry one, we can get out of this place..." he says as he removes his medi-gel canister and tosses it towards Garr with a nod. "Do what you can with it until Halisi can have a look at you."
Garr grabs the canister and rather patchily squirts some into all the wounds that bleed the most profusely. Precision application is not his thing, he's treating the stuff more like glue.
Ilyna picks the salarian up and carries him over her shoulder, using a biotic field to lighten his mass. She starts walking towards the elevator with slow careful steps.
Garr crunches up the empty medigel canister against his head plate and then looks around. "So which of ya wimps is too squished to walk?"
Jason nods towards Damien. "Mind gettin' him, big guy?" he says, limping towards Leah's side, "Don't think I'm up to lugging him all the way back..." Blood continues to run down the side of his face, dripping down his armor.
Small chunks of salarian fall off the corpse as Ilyna starts to walk towards the elevator, green blood dripping slowly through the biotic field onto her armor.
Garr is not particularly gently in picking Damien up and slinging him over his shoulder, letting the man dangle on his hump.
Leah remains still, staring up at the ceiling. "Just... be careful, Jason." she says as she catches him approaching out the corner of her eye, "I-.... I can't feel anything below my waist." she repeats.
Damien is picked up... And his arm is left behind as Garr roughly picks him. The sudden flare of pain causes Damien to wake up screaming in pain.
Jason crouches down beside Leah and slides one arm under the back of her knee, and the other behind her shoulders to support her upper back. With a loud, pained grunt, he rises back to his feet. At Damien's scream, he glances over at Garr and winces at the disgusting sight, but he's far too exhausted and injured at this point to show much investment in anything. "Hang in there, Monroe...
Just need to make it back to Halisi." he assures the unconcious man before shooting Garr a glance, "Be careful, Garr..."
Ilyna puts the salarian down on the elevator as she hears Damien screaming, and starts making her way back to where Damien was to pick up her medi-gel.
Jason shuffles the orb onto Leah's lap, as he doesn't have anywhere else to place it, and slowly lumbers his way over to the elevator, his uneven limp making it a very uncomfortable trip for the woman. Once on, he doesn't set Leah down, worried he may be unable to lift her back up again.
Jason remains in place, shifting constantly to maintain a handle on Leah as he waits for someone to press the button. "...Sorry I got you guys into this." he says softly as he glances towards Vaden once more.
Ilyna taps the button. "We chose to get into this," she says. "Let's hope the cultists are wrong. That this is the end."
The metal of the elevator groans before it starts moving up, soon reaching the rusty metal-grid room once more and coming to a stop.
Leah stares up at Jason, moving only her eyes for fear of causing more damage if she turns her head. "We knew the risks." she plainly.
Damien 's head bounces against Garr's armour, almost comically were it not for the fact he is missing a limb. And now he's going to have a swollen forehead to boot. What a great outing...
Garr moves off the elevator and onto the fragile floor, seemingly not caring. He slaps the hand of Damien's severed arm against the door panel.
Ilyna waits for Garr to be at the other door before picking up the salarian and making her way across, as well.
Jason steps off the elevator once Ilyna is all the way across the sheisty flooring and follows the others out of the room, eager to make his way back to the rest of the group.
(Comms) Linda... We're all in pretty bad shape and we still haven't come up with a way out of here. Is there anything you can do on your end?
(Comms) I've got the rope ladder ready. We-... we'll figure something out for the wounded. Just get back to the shaft.
Jason follows behind Ilyna. "We don't have a lot of options right now, Garr... I'll take what I can get if it means a chance to get out of this place."
Ilyna sighs as she notices Garr stepping on the cultist. "Was that really necessary?" she asks in a weary mutter.
Damien looks the opposite of alright. But he isn't going to die, so he's got that going for him, which is nice.
Garr doesn't really care if he is. Damien's just this lump of mildly squishy stuff draped across his hump to protect it from the rain. Underground.
Jason continues forward through the next door. "He'll be fine..." he says, "Just need to get back to the doc."
The path up the tunnel and into the next room is clear. They're now only one door away from the main corridor.
