Va'ynna is still lying on the couch in the rec room, wrapped in 3 blankets. She has her eyes closed, but it's unclear whether she is actually sleeping. The screen in front of her is shut off and there are noone else in the room.

Uvena stops as she passes by the rec room, looking inside. "Looks like she's sleeping," she says. "I think I'll go change out of this. Let me know if something new comes up in the meantime, okay?" She is still in her armor.

Victoria was holding the bag that she had packed for Va'ynna and stops behind Uvena "Will do." Vicky is still in her armor as well. "I will just take her stuff in there for her."

Uvena nods and starts making her way down the hallway. "Let her know you brought clothes," she says with a glance over her shoulder before turning the corner.

Victoria returns the nod to Uvena "I will, if she wakes up." She states while waiting for Uvena to be out of sight before entering the rec room.

Va'ynna snaps her eyes open at the sound of armored boots on the floor and looks up at the source. She looked terrified for a second, before a small smile shows up upon realizing it is just Victoria. "Hey," she whispers.

Victoria turns her head towards Va'ynna after she hears the asari's whisper. She smiles back at the asari "Hey, I got clothes for you." She makes her way a little closer to the couch "How are you feeling?" She asks hoping she feels much better now.

Va'ynna follows Victoria with her gaze, at the extent she cant without lifting her head. "I... I feel... a little sick," she says. "I'm not freezing anymore,... at least." She starts sitting up slowly, keeping her hands on the blankets to ensure they keep covering her completely. "Thank you," she murmurs.

Victoria places the bag with Va'ynna's clothes next to the couch. She moved in front of the asari and kneel down in front of the asari "I am just glad you are safe now." She said with a smile.

Va'ynna nods. "Thanks to... you and Jason," she says, frowning. "I'm... not sure what I've... done to deserve you."

Victoria looks at the asari with a frown "No, I'm am not sure what I have done to have you." She goes silent for a moment, still looking at Va'ynna. "Trust me, I don't deserve you."

Va'ynna looks down, tears forming under her eyes. "That's not true," she murmurs. "You... would drop everything you have to help me. I... I couldn't do the same... in this situation... were the... positions swapped."

Victoria moves a hand under Va'ynna's chin and gently raises the asari's gaze to meet her own. "We are two different people Vay. We both do things differently." She stops for a second "But I know that if I was taken, you would come to see someone here at Redrock to save me." She stated in a calm tone.

Va'ynna sighs. "And... not be able to... help," she says. "Not in a direct way. I... I... would feel as powerless as... I felt this morning."

"Vay, this morning when I went looking for you I felt powerless. I... I did not know what to do." She stopped for a moment. "I had no clue what to do. It was when Redrock got involved, I got some clue on what to do." She said honestly.

Va'ynna frowns. "But... you could be there, fight with them," she says. "That's... much better than what I... could do." Tears start tricling down her cheeks.

Victoria moved her hand to her cheek "Vay, I only know how to fight because of my life. A life I would not wish on anyone, with where I am now." She stopped for a second and decided to lighten the mood "See, this would be more comforting if I was not wearing my armor. Armor is not the greatest thing to comfort someone in." She said jokingly.

Va'ynna gives a slight nod. "It's... it's... useful out here, to... protect people," she sobs. "I... I can't... I can't even protect myself."

Renala enters the rec room, only giving the pair at the couch a glance before she heads over to the kitchen. She picks an omni-tool out of a cupboard before spilling the remainder of the coffee ground soup into the sink. The asari prepares and starts the coffee maker.

Victoria was silent for a moment thinking on what to say next. "Well, how about going to your mother to learn biotics to defend yourself." She suggested to Va'ynna. "I can also teach you how to shoot."

Va'ynna shakes her head. "I... no, I don't think that would have helped," she asks. "I can... make stasis fields, and maybe I could have... gotten away from her if I used it, but... I couldn't. It was like I didn't know it at all when I needed it most."

Victoria nods "That type of things happen to people. It is a common thing to some people." She stopped for a moment. "I wish I was there with you when it happened."

Renala | "That comes with training, a lot of training, and even then it's not for everyone," she says before turning around. "Anyway, I tracked down your omni-tool, and Jason's moving on the location. I'll have to undo what I did and plug the hole, of course, but you'll get it back after that."

Va'ynna nods. "So... do I," she murmurs, the trickle of tears only slowing a little. "I was... so scared." She gives a small smile upon hearing about her omni-tool. "Could you... do that without... getting into my omni-tool?" she asks, and the smile fades as the older asari shakes her head.

Victoria just gives the asari a smile for a while, she was glad that Va'ynna was safe now and that was all that mattered. "Hey, at least you won't lose anything. That is better than getting a completely new one." She said with a smile trying to cheer up the asari.

Va'ynna looks down. "I... I don't know what I'd do if I lost it," she says. "I've had the... same omni-tool for almost twenty years."

"Well, it looks like you will not have to worry about getting a new one." The smile still on her face "I only managed to find a piece of it. I think someone stepped on it." She told the asari, not revealing her part in that.

Renala sighs. "I won't poke around unless scans find something that's potentially unwanted," she says before turning around. "That kind of curiousity is usually not well rewarded," she adds in a mutter. She pauses the coffee maker to pour herself a cup, after which she resumes it and starts moving towards the door.

Va'ynna gives a small smile. "I'm.... I really appreciate that," she says before looking towards the bag. "Maybe... I should get dressed. In anything other than a... hundred blankets, I mean."

Victoria stops herself from making an ass of herself in front of a co-worker "That is why me and your mother got you clothes." She then look at Renala "Thanks Renala, I owe you one."

Renala stops. "This is my job," she says, "but I'll hold you to that." She chuckles before stepping through the door, coffee cup in hand.

Va'ynna leans over to pull her bag towards her and opens it, looking inside. "More than one change," she mutters. "Does that mean... I'm staying here?"

Victoria nods "Well, that is what Uvena and I went with. I will also have to go soon as well, remember?" She stated, reminding the asari that Vicky would have to leave Aite. "We did not think you could get enough time to get off to come with me. I have to be on board for the first trip."

Va'ynna stops looking through the bag when Victoria reminded her, and frowns. "I... remember," she mutters. "And... and you're right. I won't... get enough time off. I'm lucky if I get... any at all."

Victoria puts a hand on Va'ynna's knee "Yeah, I figured as much. Don't worry, we can spend some quality time together once I return." She states with a smile, knowing that was the only thing she could offer to make the asari feel better.

Va'ynna winces a bit as the armored hand is put on her bare knee. "Before too?" she asks with a tilted head. "You're going to stay here... with me, I hope?"

Victoria upon seeing Va'ynna's reaction to grabbing her knee, she moves her hand away. "Well, we can have the nights before I leave at ours. I don't think this place is well suited for more than one guest."

Va'ynna frowns. "As much as I... want to, I...," she begins. "If you and Uvena think I should... be here, it's probably best that I... stay until Jason thinks it's safe."

Victoria gives a frown as well. "Yeah, it would be for the best. At least this way you will be safe for sure." Her frown turned into a smile at the end. "All I really care about that you are safe."

Va'ynna stands up. "When are... you leaving?" she asks. "Maybe... I can move back into our apartment before... that."

Victoria stands back up as well "I have to leave in three days, no matter what. Vay, this is just to make sure you are safe. Once we know you will be safe, I am sure you can move back into our apartment."

Va'ynna sighs. "I'll... see if I can stay here until you return, then," she says. "I'm... I'll... um, I'm not looking forward to sleeping alone, though." She picks up her bag.

"Hey, at least you will have solid ground under your feet. I will be in space and sleeping by myself." She states trying to lighten the mood.

Va'ynna doesn't respond to that, her mood appearing anything but lightened. "Let's... let's go change," she mutters as she takes a step towards the door.
