Nathan nods approvingly as he is patted on the shoulder,a frown briefly crossing his features. "Have you got any advice, boss? In regards to the geth, I mean." He jabs a thumb down the corridor. "I asked little miss 'experience' down there, but she shrugged and swiftly moved on."

Yan Sun snorts. "Hmh... guess not everything is different out here." She turns her head forward again. "Was considering checking the planet out after this expedition... maybe not such a good idea, then." She shrugs. "Or maybe it is. Fucking with some assholes with more creds than they should have is always fun."

Jason gives a slight shake of his head. "Not really a whole lot to say." he says with an apologetic tilt of his head, "They're machines. They proccess shit at a level I can't even begin to understand. It's gotta be like having a constant stream of intel from all across the battlefield." he continues, glancing over at Nathan. "I'm not sure we can compete tactically. They can move and react

as a unit without any delay. So we just have to be better than them." he gives a smirk and shrugs his shoulders, "If we run into geth out there, we just stick together, open up a hole, and get the hell out of dodge as soon as we can. They don't think like we do. They can just throw themselves at us endlessly without any fear of harm. Pain. Fatigue. So we make it quick." he clenches a fist and

slams it against the table lightly, "Hit them hard and move on before they can send more at us."

Jessica shifts a bit in place. "This is one asshole you don't want to 'fuck with', kitty cat." she says with a sigh. "Trust me on this. You want to see Aite? Great. Stick to the farming colonies. Territories where fighting is at a minimum. But stay far away from Adrasteia if you're looking to cause some trouble..."

Nathan nods as Jason speaks, finishing with an affirmative grunt. "Well alright then, that was actually useful information," he says appreciatively. "Well, Jess and I kitted out a metric fucktonne of MKI grenades into EMPs." He pauses and grins slightly as he looks toward the ceiling. "Think I'll name them 'Geth Poppers'."

Jason gives a nod of approval, "EMPs could certainly be useful if we run into trouble." he muses aloud, keeping the fact that he's far more worried about what may be lurking on the planet they're headed to than a few geth to himself, "Though there may not be a whole lot we can do if they catch us in travel. In that case it's just a matter of hoping this boat can outrun them and that the cannons

keep them back... This ship wasn't built for combat."

Nathan looks around and sighs, agreeing with the man. "True. I mean, I can stick on my hardsuit and lean out the cargo hatch. Start throwing the grenades at them then," he jokes, a grin plastered on his face. "In all seriousness though, I'm surprised there isn't even an escort vessel for this trip. Seems kind of... unwise."

Yan Sun glances briefly at Jessica. "That bad, huh?" She shakes her head slightly with a sigh. "Stupid question to ask if it's the reason you want to leave, I guess." She adjusts the way she's sitting with little success. Spaceship floors are just not built for comfort. She turns her head, looking down the corridor at the cafeteria. "They're gonna find out, you know. Even if I don't say a word."

Jason nods, lowering his gaze back to the table. "Been wondering about that myself, Ten." he admits, although he's quite confident that he already knows the reason for it: ExoGeni wants as few eyes on them as possible while they do whatever shady shit they're going to do. "Hopefully their corner cutting doesn't leave us with our asses hanging out. He shifts uncomfortably and gives another

shrug, "No point in worrying about that right now, though. Just hope for the best and prepare for the worst."

Nathan nods. "Why'd you think I brought 'Big Lady' with me?" He says, referring to his launcher. "Don't worry, boss. If shit hits the fan, I'll just start blowing shit up left and right. Tends to work if you need a distraction so you can hightail it out of here." He pauses and shrugs. "Uh, obviously not on the ship though. That would be bad. And really dumb."

Jessica nods, but remains quiet for a short while. "I know. My hope is that, by the time they find out, it won't matter." She lifts her arm and lays her hand out flat, slowly slicing it through the air, "I'll be lonnnng gone. And if they do find out before then? What does it matter? I'm already here. Sure, I lied to get the position, but I know how to handle my shit. I may not be a trained soldier, but I've been fighting for

longer than most of them have..." She trails off, placing her arm back down on her knee and returning her gaze to the opposite wall, "I'll do the job they're paying me to do. Perhaps they fire me for lying, what do I care? I'm leaving anyway. So long as I get paid, the details don't concern me too much."

Jason gives a chuckle once again. "Yeeeah. I can confirm from experience: Grenades during transit? Bad idea. On the other hand? Sometimes it's the only idea. But we're unlikely to be boarded anyway. I'd be lying if I said I knew a ton about the geth's ways, but chances are they'd just blow us to hell and take the scraps." he says, such a comforting thought.

Nathan rolls his eyes. "Comforting thought, boss... realllllly comforting." He chuckles and looks around the cafeteria, eyes briefly lingering on Ling for the moment before turning back to Jason. "Well, we'll just roll with it."

Ling is still eating her breakfast at the otherwise empty table.

Uvena is having her breakfast as well, sitting opposite where the matron is sitting (or sat if she's no longer there). She is eating at a slow pace, though, as she looks out into space while she has a chance to do so without the visual signs of the FTL getting in the way.

Jason looks down disinterestedly at the remainder of his sandwich with a nod. He tosses it down and wipes his together. "We sure will, Ten. Like I said, try to keep your mind off. I'm glad you're preparing for the eventuality of a fight, but this is a two week trip. If you spend every second of it worrying about what might happen, you're gonna drive yourself nuts." he recommends, while also

spending every second worrying about what might happen.

Well, it's helped me make it this far. Besides, I know how to balance out the worrying and the relaxing. Sadly, part of my 'relaxing' routine is banned for two weeks...

Nathan glares pointedly up at the ceiling. "I'm blaming you, Victoria," he says. She's not the reason, but she's an easy scapegoat for his annoyance.

Jason glares up in turn, scowling at the disembodied voice in the sky. After a moment, his scowl fades and he returns his attention to Nathan. "So have you had the opportunity to get out and scope out the ship?"

Nathan looks back to Jason and shakes his head. "Not really. I -tried- to get a peek into the engineering bay, but the damn VI wouldn't let me in and then when I went to press the interface again, I punched that woman over there in the face instead...". He mumbles the last part as he gestures over to Ling.

Jason glances over to Ling with a concerned look on his face. "You pun-... Oh shit, is she alright?" he asks, a big grin crossing his face as he tries to suppress a chuckle, "How the hell do you manage to accidentally punch someone in the face?"

Nathan sinks into his chair, face flushing red again with embarrassment. "I kept repeatedly hitting the interface to try and... wind up... the VI..." he furrows his brow and folds his arms across his chest, pouting. "It wasn't my greatest moment in life, 'kay?"

Jason 's chuckle turns into full-on laughter. "As much as I appreciate anything that might piss off Victoria, I think it might be a good idea to at least try not to make everyone that we'll be spending the next two weeks with hate us. The VI already has it in for both of us, you've slugged one crew member in the head and I told another off.... One day in." He shakes his head, smirk still on

his face, "This might be a long trip."

Nathan sinks further into the seat, groaning audibly. "...Wonderful...". He says, burying his face into his hands.

Jason lifts his plate up and stands from his seat. "And the scrawny one has it in for you!" he reminds, seeming to enjoy himself, "I mean, you're already talking about getting shanked in your sleep..." He takes a step back from his seat and gives another shake of his head. "Lonnnng trip." he repeats.

Nathan sighs, loudly. "Is it too late to get fired via airlock? That seems like the better deal...".

Yan Sun turns back to Jessica. "You sure you'll get paid if they find out?" she says, keeping her voice down somewhat.

I'm not letting you off that easy, Ten. Perk up! We've got work to do!

Jason pats Nathan on the back cheerfully before marching over to the counter to lay his plate down, big grin on his face.

Nathan grumbles and pushes himself from the seat, looking over as Jason walks away. "...work. Right," he mumbles. "...wonder if I can get away sleeping in my armour?" he muses to himself.

Jessica frowns as she glances over at Yan Sun. "They damn well better, or they're going to have a lot more problems on their hands than a few white lies..."

Yan Sun winces slightly, eyes darting back down the corridor before returning to Jessica. "Look, I'm just saying it'd be better for everyone if they didn't find out in the middle of this job." Her eye lights up with a blink, and she looks at the ceiling, almost seeming to zone out for a moment as she studies something unseen. "We can talk about it later today, alright?"

Jason turns back and rotates his shoulders, working out a kink in his neck. As he catches sight of September, he gives her a big goofy grin and an exaggerated wave before returning to the passenger quarters.

Jessica nods in agreement. "I didn't plan on them finding out. And since you're the only one who knows, that means keep it to yourself and there won't be any problems, right? Simple."

Nathan activates his omni-tool and, seeing as he's got time to kill, falls back into his seat and plays a flight-sim. His tongue pokes out in concentration.

September shoots Jason an offended glare.

Yan Sun pushes off against the floor, moving to stand up. She lets out a sigh at the comment. "Sure." she says, deciding against saying anything more for now.

Nathan watches the corridor out of the corner of his eyes. He narrows them briefly, still unable to unwrap that modicum of suspicion lingering in his mind. But, then again, he isn't getting paid to keep an eye on his 'teammates'. So, he resumes playing the game.

Jessica remains seated against the wall, glaring up at Yan Sun. "Got somewhere to be?" she asks, seemingly somewhat concerned over Yan Sun's decision to leave following that specific conversation.

Yan Sun rolls her shoulders, the wall having been about as comfortable as the floor. At the question she looks down at her, rolling her eyes at the glare. Jessica seems to have lost most of whatever intimidation factor she may have held. "I'm not telling anyone, okay...?"

Jessica's gaze softens somewhat and she huffs. "I know you're not." she says, suddenly sounding disinterested once again as she turns her gaze away from the woman and back down the hall.

Yan Sun 's gaze lingers for a moment before she turns to leave with a small smirk on her lips, heading to the passenger quarters.

Jessica feels a sudden twinge of panic as she questions whether or not restraining herself from stabbing Yan Sun in the neck was the right move. "A new leaf..." she reminds herself silently, running a hand up across her forehead and through her hair, causing her cap to tumble off to her side.
