After dinner was served and some more hours had passed, the ship went into night mode, lights dimmed and parts of the crew going to sleep. Passengers were advised to sleep, and indeed, it would have been difficult to do much else other than skulk the halls, considering the dim lighting. After 10 hours of night, the lights are now returning to full strength, and Victoria's voice is coming on the speakers in the passenger quarters. "Good

morning, passengers. Breakfast will be served for the next two hours in the cafeteria. We are currently in the Kadirah system, and will remain here for one hour before passing out of extranet reach for the duration of the expedition."

In the cafeteria, preparations are underway for breakfast, with various containers of cereal, dairy products and juice being placed on the counter by along with toast, a toaster, cheese and some sliced meats. There is a coffee machine and cups available. All of the food is human except for a container of turian porridge and some fruit juice.

Robyn is standing beside the counter laying out a tray of sliced meats and humming something under her breath.

Nathan lets out a sigh of relief when he spots the coffee machine. He darts towards it and is already brewing up some sweet morning nectar. He drops two sugars into one mug, one into the other and finalizes by pouring out three cups of coffee.

Robyn gives Nathan a friendly smile. "Good morning~" she sings cheerfully as she continues to go about her work.

Sanna is currently in the kitchen, visible from an opening above the counter of breakfast items. She is busy frying something on the stove. Her curly blonde hair is tied up in a ponytail and she's wearing a simple white hat.

Nathan looks over to Robyn and returns the smile. "Morning, fräulein," he replies, the fumes of the coffee already stirring him awake. "This-" he begins by waving a hand to all the food, "-is the most beautiful thing I've seen in a long while. Can you thank the cook for me?"

Nalota is walking past the 'merc-side' passenger room door on her way to the cafeteria at the same time Tarkus exits.

Robyn gives a short chuckle. "I can. Help yourself." she says, tucking the now-empty tray under her arm as she gestures to the counter, "Plenty to go around."

Nathan nods as he expertly manages to hold three steaming mugs of coffee. "I shall," he assures her. "But first: Coffee run!" He chuckles and starts making his way back to the passenger compartment.

Jessica slumps out of the passenger's compartment, eyes barely open, and drags her feet across the ground towards the coffee machine.

Nathan looks at Jessica as he is about to pass her and hands her a mug of coffee. "You. Definitely. Need. This."

Tarkus gives a nod to Nalota as he exits the room. "Morning." He said in a somewhat tired tone.

Jessica doesn't even seem to register the jab. "Huh-... ok thanks." she mutters, taking the cup from his hand. She quickly takes a sip and withdraws her lips, making a pained expression as it burns her tongue.

Nathan has already disappeared toward the passenger compartment during her reply.

Mana is already seated at the southwestern chair of the southeastern table, wearing an intricate robe. She's staring out into space distantly, no food in front of her.

Artullin the

Nalota gasps, and turns around as someone speaks to her from the doorway. "Morning," she says. She resumes her walk towards the cafeteria almost immediately.

Artullin enters the cafeteria and heads directly to the turian friendly food. He arranges his food and grabs a cup of juice before taking a seat in the furthest corner of the cafeteria. (Top right)

Tarkus gives a shrugs and continues on his way to the cafeteria.

Nalota looks around the cafeteria, and decides to sit near the only familiar face: Mana. She approaches her table.

Jessica smacks her lips a few times before trying at another sip. She frowns and begins to blow on the coffee as she plops down at the table closest to the to the southern window. (North-most seat at the south-eastern table)

Mana barely seems to notice as Jessica takes a seat, still staring out at the stars.

Athassa frowns at being ignored, but then shrugs and heads out into the cafeteria, going over to the counter and starting to pick up food on a tray.

Tarkus moves to the table in the middle taking one of the single seats at the head of the table, closest to the door.

Nalota takes the seat that leaves one free between her and Mana. "Morning, D'Kira," she says.

Jessica cradles her coffee with both hands, holding it out in front of her face as she stares distantly into the emptiness of space.

Mana looks around in confusion. "Huh?" She blinks when she notices Nalota. "Oh, hello, Teralis. Didn't see you there."

Robyn makes her way over to Tarkus as she spots him sitting there without food. "We have some turian-friendly foods over on the counter." she says, leaning over the table beside him to look at his face, "Feel free to help yourself." She gives the turian a smile as she points towards the indicated food.

Nalota smiles. "I didn't mean to disturb you, ma'am," she says. "I was wondering if I could get you something while I go grab food?"

Tarkus looks at the human and gives a friendly nod "I shall get some soon, I am just allowing myself to wake up at the moment." He tells the woman in a friendly tone.

Leonard decidies to take a seat next to Tarkus once he's gathered coffee and a piece of toast. He sits down and offers a hand for the turian to shake. "Leonard Parker, geologist!"

Robyn gives a single nod. "You've got two hours until we start cleaning up." she informs, "Plenty. Take your time." She stands up straight and heads towards the kitchen to get more foodstuffs to lay out.

Tarkus gives a nod at the woman and then turns his attention to this Leonard. "Good to meet you. Tarkus Vipus, mercenary." He shanks the man's hand.

Yan Sun exits the bathroom, her hair and face now in order, heading back to the passenger quarters and grabbing her hoodie before going out to the cafeteria. She fills up a bowl of cereal and grabs some coffee before looking around at the tables. After brief deliberation she sits down to Jessica's left.

Jessica glances briefly at Yan Sun and grunts something before turning her attention back to the window. "Morning." she grumbles.

Nathan heads towards the cafeteria and gathers up a generous selection of... well, everything. Except the turian foods. That would be bad. He then heads towards a table with Nalota and Mana. He takes the seat between Nalota and Mana. "Good morning, ladies," he comments cheerfully.

Athassa finishes gathering food - sugary cereal with milk, fruit yoghurt, toast with cheese and ham and juice. She heads over to the middle table, sitting down opposite to Tarkus. "Hi guys!" she says as she spreads out her bowls and plates across her part of the table.

Yan Sun starts to greet Jessica, but is cut off by a loud yawn. "Eiiiiiiigh... hmh, sorry. Morning."

Mana offers a small smile. "Oh. If you could get me some bread that would be appreciated, thank you." She speaks with a distinct lack of inflection.

Jessica greets Nathan with a soft grunt. "What are you eating?" she asks, glancing over at Yan Sun's bowl without much interest before looking at Nathan's buffet. "I know what you're eating.... everything."

Leonard smiles and nods at Tarkus, then turning his attention to his food for the moment.

Jasper strolls into the cafetaria and sets his coffee down at the table beside Tarkus. "This seat ain't taken, is it?" he asks, glancing between Tarkus and Leonard.

Nalota nods and stands up, giving a lass than enthusiastic "Morning" to Nathan. She walks off to find two plates.

Nathan grins and starts to consume his breakfast. "Gotta keep energy levels high," he says between mouthfuls. "Most important meal of the day and whatnot." He nods to Nalota. "Morning."

Tarkus stands up "Excuse me, while I get some food." He begins walk off to where he can get his porridge.

Yan Sun shrugs. "Nothing exciting. I think there's some bacon or something cooking though. Could smell it from the kitchen."

Mana tilts her head at Nathan. "Morning."

Jasper shrugs. "I'm gonna take that as a 'no'." he says at Tarkus' lack of a response. "Ah well. I'm gonna get me some eatin'. Ya'll need anything?" he asks with a glance to Leonard and Athassa.

Nathan looks at Mana and swallows his mouthful. "Morning," he repeats again. "Nathan Tennhausen, call me Ten." He smiles.

Athassa waves at Jasper. "Hello! I'm Dr. T'Solis."

Leonard shakes his head. "No, but thanks. I have all I need!"

Jasper nods slowly. "You certainly are an enthusiastic bunch, ain't ya?" he asks with a cheerful chuckle, "Well, I'll be back in two shakes of a stick." he says, leaving his coffee to get some foodstuffs.

Jessica dips her head slightly, looking down towards the table. "Mmmmmbacon." she groans. She reaches up and rubs at her eye for a moment. "My back is killing me. Those beds suck a fat one."

Yan Sun snickers quietly and sips her coffee. "Yeeah... they're not great. In my... admittedly limited experience, space ships are not comfortable."

Mana nods faintly. "If you wish." She returns her attention to the window, sitting with her legs off the side of the chair, hands locked over her knee.

Nalota is done gathering food, one of the plates has four open-faced sandwiches with a lot of stuff, and the other plate has two buttered slices of bread, with cheese, ham, and various other stuff to put on it laid beside it in generous amounts.

is walking back to the table balancing a tray. There is one glass of water and milk there too.

Jessica takes another sip of her coffee and sets it down, leaning back against her chair heavily. "Limited experience? How many of these expeditions have you been on?"

Nathan scoffs down his breakfast with ravenous speed. He wipes his mouth with the back of his hand and takes the dish over towards the kitchen. "Hey, what do you want me to do with this?" He asks towards the pair in the kitchen, indicating his plate and cutlery.

Sanna finishes with the bacon and heads over to the counter, putting it up on a platter. "Hey, got some Palaven bacon here! It's from a can, but more exciting than porridge, promise!" She yells out into the cafeteria with enthusiasm.

Korio finally makes an appearance and builds a sandwich for himself. A true masterpiece with nothing out of place! He gets a glass of water to go with his sandwich and takes a seat near the door at the southwestern table.

Robyn exits from the kitchen as she hears Nathan call out. "Oh, you can just set that on the counter." she instructs, pointing at an open spot for the dirty dishes, "We'll collect them all after breakfast is over." She's holding a tray at her waist with a few more pieces of toast that she's about to place out. "Is there anything else I can help you with?"

Yan Sun swallows a bite of cereal. "Uhm... somewhere around... zero?"

Plask exits the bathroom and makes their way to the cafeteria. They grab a plate full of sliced meats, with nothing else, as well as a cup of coffee, and then head over to Artullin. "Greetings protector..." they hiss, and then empty the coffee cup into their fanged mouth.

Jessica tilts her head to the side, a small smile forming. "Awww. You're just a kitten out on your first job, then?" she asks.

Nathan shakes his head and offers the woman a polite smile as he sets down the dirty plate. "No, it's fine. Thanks, that was delicious," he compliments before turning and heading down to the lift.

Tarkus goes and collects some of the Palaven bacon on a plate and a bowl of porridge. He begins to walk back to his spot, smelling the bacon and giving a nod at it.

Artullin glances up and growls to the vorcha. "What do you want?"

Robyn smiles and goes about her work, setting the toast out.

Nathan thumbs the interface and steps into the elevator as it arrives, taking it down to Deck 3.

Jasper returns with two big-as-fuck sandwiches, filled to the brim with everything available. Including some cereal. "Whooo, boy. Got some weird sammich toppins' up there. Ya'll look at it?" he asks as he takes a big crunchy bite from his sandwich.

Nalota stops behind the row of chairs, and leans over the seat Nathan sat on to put the plate with the bread and the stuff to put on it separated as well as the glass. "You weren't specific about toppings, so I'll leave that up to you." Afterwards, she moves to put the tray on the table before her seat.

Athassa looks in fascination at Jasper's sandwiches. "Ohhh! I didn't realize that's how you do it!" She immediately starts scooping cereal onto her sandwiches.

Jasper looks on in confusion. After a few moments he shrugs. "Happy to be of service, ma'am." he says with a flick of his cap and crunches into another bite. "That's what I'm here fer'! Problem solver, through-and-through!"

Yan Sun looks a bit embarassed to admit it, but nods. "Yeah, I... I guess so. Figured it'd be interesting at least."

Leonard chuckles. "That's an interesting design you've got there." He says to Jasper before continuing to eat.

Jessica leans forward, propping her head up with her hands as she looks over at Yan Sun. "So what did the kitty cat do before deciding to join an expedition half way across the galaxy?"

Tarkus looks at Jasper and just shakes his head at the old man, he then starts to eat the porridge with a spoon he had acquired.

Athassa bites down on the sandwich with a crunch. "Mmh... hmh... that's... interesting!"

Jasper seems much more confident in his choice to put the crunchy bits on his sandwich and takes another large bite. With each crunch, his chewing slows slightly. This is reeeeally unappetizing . Too late to back out now. "Yeah, yeah. Real interestin'." he crunches.

Mana seems to have zoned out, not noticing the food that Nalota brought.

Nalota glances over at the matron, then shrugs and starts on her own food.

Yan Sun pokes at her cereal with the spoon, pondering her answer with a short nervous chuckle. "Uh... I guess I just... wanted to get away from Earth, you know? It... can be a real shithole."

Jessica continues staring at Yan Sun. "So the kitten packed up and left her home in search of adventure." she says, giving her best narrator voice, "So is this your first time actually away from Earth...?"

Korio is off all on his own. Allll alone. Nibbling on a beautiful sandwich.

Plask takes a slice of ham and lifts it into their mouth. "Tallllk!"

Artullin glares at the Plask. "...Fine, what do you want to talk about?" He grunts as he shovels more porridge into his mouth.

Leonard shakes his head in amusement. "Sooo... you know where geologists like to relax?"

Athassa continues to eat her questionable sandwich, putting on a smile.

Jasper pauses his chewing, looking up at Leonard. He swallows hard and cocks his head at the man. "Wha...?"

Yan Sun shifts a little in her seat. "More or less... stayed on the Citadel for a few weeks while looking for a job. Found this."

Jessica nods a couple times. "Citadel." she says knowingly, "Spent a bit of time there myself. Great place."

Tarkus shakes his head at Leonard "No, I do not." He said to the man, as he continued to eat his porridge.

September exits the elevator. She's a woman in her late twenties with light skin and shoulder-length brown hair. She's wearing an ExoGeni bridge uniform. She looks around curiously as some of the people as she passes, grabbing a glass of juice and then heading over to Korio, sitting down opposite to him. She doesn't say anything, studying the details of the drell's appearance.

Plask consumes another slice of ham. "I am Plask! Who are you?"

Leonard gains a pleased grin. "A rocking chair!"

Artullin narrows his eyes at the vorcha, but nevertheless replies. "Artullin. Redrock mercenary," he says. "And what do you do... Plask?"

Yan Sun eats a bite of cereal before responding. "You've been there? It's amazing, isn't it? The station itself, I mean..." She's gained a smile, looking briefly excited, but it doesn't last.

Korio puts his sandwich down as the new arrival sits across from him. "Good morning." he says politely. He's pale green with a few light blue patches going up his cheeks and continuing onto his head. A light blue pattern also flanks his eyes and proceeds above them, almost resembling a brow in their design.

Jessica nods a bunch of times, "Oh yeah. Amazing, amazing." she nods, "So..... uhh.... big!"

Jessica reaches for her cup of coffee and brings it back to her lips. Her gaze keeps returning to the large window in front of her.

Tarkus shakes his head a little bit "I have heard better jokes. Might be too early for those type of jokes." He said to the man in a friendly tone.

September continues to look at him for a while before responding. "Hello! You're, like, a drell, right?" She folds her arms on the table, leaning forward.

Jasper stares at the man. "Oh.............. That so? Tell ya what, my grandad had this ol' rockin' chair that he used to sit in all the time? Swear, he wore a dang divot in the thing. Always jus' rockin' an' rockin' an' rockin'." he gives a chuckle and shakes his head, "Was somethin'. He wasn't a geologist, though. Oh no! City worker. Collected trash."

Plask struggles with getting the ham past his massive teeth, but eventually succeeds. "Research! I help asari!"

Artullin hums disinterestedly, finishing off the last of his breakfast. "Really? Fascinating. And what research is that?"

Yan Sun furrows her eyebrows. "Uh... yeah." She seems briefly put off by Jessica's reaction. "So... you've travelled a lot, then?" She takes another bite of cereal, looking at her for a response.

Korio nods slowly. "That is correct." he says, "I am, indeed, a drell. I am with the security team." He studies her outfit, noting the patch. "And you are with ExoGeni. May I ask what your job onboard the Saint Lucia is?"

Jessica nods a few more times. "Yeah, I've been allll over the galaxy. Alliance." she says proudly, tilting her head and tapping a finger against the tattoo below her ear. "Was stuck on the Citadel when the geth decided to crash the party. Now that's a story..." she says with an exasperated shake of her head.

Leonard raises an eyebrow at Jasper. "Really? Hm. A noble profession that. Keeping the streets clean and all. Not unlike geology, in that we collect something most people don't want!"

Jasper lets out a quick chuckle. "You know what they say, one man's trash is another man's treasure, right? Right?"

September nods a few times, continuing to stare at him in an unsettling way. "Me? Oh, yeah, I'm the Second Officer. Call me September." She smiles widely.

Plask nods. "Biology! Chemistry! Yes?"

Yan Sun goes quiet for a bit, her gaze flickering away briefly before returning to Jessica. "I-... I didn't realize... we... it was all over the news on Earth... it must have been horrifying."

Korio gestures towards himself. "Korio." he says, not seeming too affected by the woman's stares, "I assume by the interest you've taken in me, you have not had much interaction with my kind." He gives a slight smile, bowing his head, "It is quite alright. I have grown used to this reaction."

Artullin nods absently. "And do you understand any of it?"

Jessica stares at Yan Sun for a few moments before nodding. "Oh-... yeah! It was all sorts of fucked up." she says, lowering her head slightly. "Lost a lot of good soldiers that day. Real shame..." She takes another sip of her coffee and looks down into the cup.

Leonard nods, gesturing with a teaspoon at Jasper. "Very true!"

Tarkus focuses on eating his meal, letting both of them talk to one another.

Plask growls at Artullin. "Of course! Have many years of education!"

Jasper nods in turn and takes another large bite from his cerealwich. He glances over at Athassa. "What 'bout you? You study rocks, too?"

Artullin very much doubts it. "I see. I apologize," he says. "I'm sure you are a valuable asset to the team."

Yan Sun frowns, studying Jessica without saying anything for a while. She then turns her attention back to her cereal, taking a quick bite, and lifting the spoon for a second one, but she stops and puts it down again, glancing back at the woman. "Which ward were you in?"

Jessica raises her eyebrows. "Huh?" she asks, leaning forward a bit as if she didn't hear the woman. She coughs and lowers her gaze back to the table. "Uhhh... Ward number seven." she says, quite sure of herself. She nods a couple times. "What about you?" she quickly adds, hoping to pass the attention back to Yan Sun.

September nods a few times. "Is it true that your skin is, like... toxic?"

Athassa takes a while to response, since she has a mouthful of cerealwich. "...mmh... no, I'm a chemist, actually!"

Korio gives an amused chuckle. "It is. But do not worry, it is not dangerous." He makes a show of raising his hands, palms outward, "I will make sure to keep my space." he adds with another chuckle.

Plask nods and then tears another slice of ham apart.

Jasper nods a few times, seeming impressed. He points at Tarkus, "So a mercenary-..." he begins, pointing at Leonard and Athassa in turn, "...a geologist an' a chemist walk onto a ship. Sounds like the start to a really good joke!" He lets out a snicker as he takes another bite of his cerealwich.

Mana has departed along with Nalota after finishing their meals. She remained untalktative as ever.

Yan Sun shoves her bowl of cereal aside, looking around briefly to make sure no one else is within earshot before putting her arms on the table and leaning forward. "Do you think I'm stupid?" she says, sounding more disappointed than anything.

Leonard finally starts to eat.

September sips her coffee, still staring. "Your voice is awesome."

Jessica furrows her brow, looking around to make sure nobody she knows is nearby. "Huh? What are you talking about!?" she asks, keeping her voice down. "No-... of course not! What are you going on about?"

Tarkus continues to eat and finally gets to the bacon "Have you already made a joke up?" He asked the old man.

Korio looks slightly unsure of how to respond to September. "Oh. Thank you." he says with another quick chuckle, "Your voice is quite-.... awesome as well.....?" he responds, sounding as if he's not sure the correct course of action, but hoping to not offend the woman.

tilts his head slightly.

Jasper looks up from his meal and furrows his brow. "Huh...?" he asks the turian, "Oh, naw! Just joshin' around is all. You feel free to keep that setup, though!"

Yan Sun continues to study Jessica. She lets out a sigh. "That's a really strange thing to lie about." She sounds confused, and a little frustrated.

September smiles brightly "Thaaank you!" She sips her coffee again. "You look sort of human. But scalier."

Jessica shakes her head. "No, I-... Lie!? Wha-..." she stammers, clearly in deer-in-headlights mode by this point. "Look I-... I don't know what you're talking about I just-..." she glances around, a slight panic creeping in. She lowers her head and brings her hands to her forehead. "Is it that obvious?"

Korio glances down at his chest arbitrarily before returning his gaze to September. "I suppose that is a true assessment. Though some may say you look sort of drell." He cocks his head slightly more to the side, "Only less scaly." He suddenly wishes he would have remained in bed.

Yan Sun winces slightly at Jessica's panicking. She nods slightly. "Uhm... yeah, it's... pretty obvious."

September lets out an obnoxious laugh. "Oh, that's true! I didn't even think of that!"

Jessica stands up suddenly and wraps a hand around Yan Sun's wrist, giving it a slight tug. "Come on, kitty cat. You and I need to have a talk." She deadpans Yan Sun, bouncing her leg up and down nervously.

Korio forces a laugh of his own to keep from being rude. He points at the lack of food in front of her. "Are you not hungry?" he inquires, really hoping she plans on filling her mouth with something other than stupid questions and statements.

Ling exits the elevator on Deck 2, heading for the food counter with her gaze on the floor.

Yan Sun hesitates for a moment before standing up, an apprehensive look on her face, but she'd follow Jessica. "O...kay."

Nathan additionally exits from the other elevator. He steps out and sighs, reaching into his jean pocket and pulling out a pack of cigarettes. He smacks the bottom and one pops out, which he snatches between his lips. He holds it there as he reaches into his other pocket and tugs free his lighter. However, before striking it, he pauses and looks expectantly at the

ceiling.

Jessica releases her grip on the woman and starts off towards the bathroom. "Look, it's a long story, okay?" she says, keeping her voice just above a whisper, "I don't need you blabbing my business all over, understand?"

September blinks, and then looks down at the table in front of her. "Oh! Right!" She rolls her eyes with another laugh and stands up to head to the counter.

(Corridor) Smoking is not allowed onboard the ship, Mr. Tennhausen.

Korio breathes a sigh of relief and, the moment her back is turned, he slips out and stalks back to the passenger's quarters. Extraction successful.

...called it. I fucking called it...

Nathan mumbles and pockets the lighter again. "Seriously. There isn't even a smoking area on this ship?"

Jason exits the passenger's quarters, passing Korio by as he does. As he reaches the cafetaria, an unguarded sandwich garners his attention. He tucks his hands into his pockets and scopes the sandwich out. A thing of beauty. Pure art. He nods a few times to himself and glances around, contemplating claiming it as his own.

Nathan shakes his head and grumbles, still holding the cigarette between his lips. He makes towards the cafeteria again, frowning as Jessica and Yan fly by. "Where's the fire at?" he asks.

Ling has collected some toast, and now makes her way to a seat at the southeastern table, which is now unoccupied. She takes a crunchy bite, looking around the room.

Yan Sun follows Jessica, a frustrated look her face. "Oh yeah? How about you explain why the hell you're lying in the first place?" she says, keeping her voice to a whisper as well.

Jason spots Nathan and straightens up, taking a couple steps away from the sandwich. "Oh, hey Ten!" he says, trying to distance himself from the mark. "How's the food?

"

September returns to the table, and looks around in confusion. She turns to Jason. "Have you seen a drell? He was here, like... two seconds ago."

Tarkus nods at the old man "I'll be sure to keep that one in my joke arsenal." He replied to Jesper and continued to eat his food.

Jessica scowls at Nathan as she passes him. "Up your ass if you don't mind your own business!" she says, continuing into the bathroom. "I-... Just, shut up." she says to Yan Sun, continuing to speak in hushed tones. As soon as they enter the bathroom, she makes a quick lap around, looking for anyone or any sign of any cameras. "I'm gonna explain, just hold the fuck on, alright!?"

Nathan blinks and glares at Jessica as she passes, catching only a word as Yan whispers. He remains silent, his gaze turning suspicious as they disappear into the bathroom. It takes him a moment to respond to Jason. "Hm? It's okay," he responds half-arsedly.

The bathroom appears to be one of the few rooms on the ship without cameras. There are several stalls as well as a few showers. The room appears currently empty.

Jason glances back at September and then points back to the passenger's quarters. "Ara? Yeah, you just missed him. He went in there." He returns his gaze to Nathan and shuffles a bit closer to him. "Okay is better than bad." he says with a smirk, "Been on more than a few ships that I could've sworn were trying to pass off cardboard as food."

Nathan nods again, taking the cigarette out and slipping it back into the box. "Heh, I can relate. But what I really want from a ship, more than anything," he says, adding a dramatic undertone to his voice. "Is a place. To. Smoke. I mean, I -could- pop a window open, buuuuuuut I think that may cause a few issues."

Jessica stops pacing once she's sure they're alone. "Alright, look..." she begins to explain, digging a hand into one of the many cargo pockets on her pants, "...I didn't want to lie. I just had no choice, alright? I need to get the hell off of Aite, and I didn't have a credit to my name." She continues to look back towards the door nervously every few seconds, clearly quite shaken by having been discovered by Yan Sun. "I'm

not Alliance." she admits, "I was never at the Citadel-... fuck, this is the farthest I've been since I was little. Figured I'd sign up with these jokers, earn a few creds, and hightail it the fuck off of Aite. There, I told you. Are we good?" She finally pulls her hand free from the cargo pocket, producing the world's tiniest utility knife. Fearsome. She unfolds it and extends it out, looking down at the blade

apologetically, or perhaps just embarrassed by it since it most likely would barely even puncture the skin. "Look, you seem like a sweet girl, okay? I don't want to have to stab you in the neck while you sleep or anything. That would suck. And I'd have nobody else to sit with. So can you just keep this to yourself? So I don't have to-..." she awkwardly jabs the little blade at the air a couple of times, "...? I've done

it before! Honest!" She tries to harden her expression, but it just ends up looking pathetic and she slowly lowers her hand back to her side.

Jason chuckles, starting towards the counter. "Yeah, that might cause a few problems." he agrees with a nod. "I'm afraid you might be shit out of luck until we get back. But, hey! Gum. Right?" he says enthusiastically with a shrug.

Nathan follows Jason, shaking his head. "Uggggggghhhhhhhh. I'm going to go nuts," he says, rubbing his temple. He pauses for a moment before looking back at Jason. "...I think I might take a shower. Clear my head." 'And my shame' he thinks to himself dramatically. Oh woe is him.

Yan Sun listens in silence, her expression softening gradually. She folds her arms. As the utility knife is pulled she tenses up a bit, clenching her left hand into a fist as an unease look crosses her face, but her concern disappears surprisingly quickly. "Okay..." she says softly. "I, uh... I get it, alright?" Her gaze flickers away for a split-second, but is soon back on Jessica. "I won't tell anyone. You don't need to, uh... stab

me."

Jason grabs a plate and begins to pile a few pieces of bread onto it. He layers a bunch of meat and cheese and, briefly, grabs a small carton of cereal and studies it. He looks at the carton, then his sandwich, then back to the carton before shrugging and setting the cereal down. "Shower is a nice way to keep your mind off of that kind of shit. Just don't rub one out in there, yeah?" he says,

glancing back at the man with a dead serious look, "We all have to use it. Be mindful." He stares at Nathan for a few moments before giving an exaggerated wink.

September seems disappointed as she retakes her seat, looking around at who else is left in the cafeteria.

Nathan rolls his eyes and makes to slap Jason on the shoulder in a friendly pat. "I think that warning is more suitable for you, boss. You might tear your dick off with those," he responds in kind before turning away and heading toward the bathroom. Half way there, he realises at how insensitive that may have sounded and winces. "...shit."

Artullin simply stares at the vorcha for a moment before shrugging. "Right," he says before picking up his empty bowl and taking it over to the rest of the dirty bowls and plates. He sets it down then begins to walk back towards the passenge quarters, giving the vorcha a faint nod in recognition.

Jessica adds, "In the neck." with a nod, and lifts her blade briefly giving one more half jab at the air. She lets out a deep breath and folds the blade back up, sliding it into her pocket. "I-..." she starts, then stops, looking somewhat ashamed as she approaches the other woman and sucks in a deep breath, "..I have a bigger knife down in the armory. It's so much more suitable for neck stabbing. Would've been pretty fucking

intimidating." she assures the woman as she raises her gaze to meet Yan Sun's. "Thanks for not flipping your shit and ratting me out."

(Corridor) In case of genital trauma, the Medical Officer will be notified.

Jason forces a smirk, aware that Ten was just having a friendly go at him, but he quickly reaches over with his free hand and tugs at his shirt sleeves a bit. As Victoria speaks up, he turns bright red and lowers his head, rapidly shoving move things onto his plate as he mutters threats to her under his breath.

Yan Sun actually cracks a smile at the comment about the knife. After Jessica stops speaking she nods. "It's... fine. I know what it's like to want to get away." She seems mostly unphased by the fact that she was threatened with a knife, albeit a small one. "Seriously though. Don't stab me." She adds with a serious look on her face.

Nathan palms the interface and opens the door, stepping inside. He looks to the two women and narrows his eyes at Jessica. He simply elects to ignore her and snatches a towel from the rack, moving over towards the showers.

September does her best to cover up a laugh at the VI's comment.

Artullin actually manages a laugh at that comment.

Jessica nods a couple times. "I'm not going to promise I won't stab you at some point during this trip, but I promise that I'll try not to stab you." she says, and a smirk slowly follows. As Nathan enters, she straightens up and scowls at him. Throwing her hands up in the air she says, "Oh, come on. We were just about to have some rough lesbian sex. Don't be a cockblock."

Nathan waves over his shoulder in a dismissive fashion. "Go ahead," he says. "Pretend I'm not here. I'll just be here. Showering." He starts to undress, starting with his shirt.

Jason turns a bit red at all of the laughing but continues to pile food onto his plate. He returns to the previous table he was at, with September, and tosses his plate down. He gives a jealous glance towards the pretty sandwich and begins to make his own sandwich out of the stuff he piled on his plate. "Mind if I sit here?" he asks, having already plopped down.

Yan Sun seems about to say something as Nathan enters. Upon Jessica's comment she turns bright red, saying nothing as her gaze goes to the wall. She doesn't really acknowledge Nathan.

Ling seems to be the only one that didn't laugh at the VI's comment. She's eating her breakfast in silence.

September shakes her head. "No, it's fine!" She sips her juice and then slows down as her gaze happens to fall on one of Jason's arms. "What's up with your arms? Are those cybernetic?"

Jessica groans loudly. "Well you sort of ruined the mood. Nice job!" she says with feigned annoyance.

Jason leans his elbow against the table and lowers his gaze to them as September mentions them. "...Yeah." he says plainly, glancing back over at her with an unamused expression, "They are." He shifts uneasily in his seat, feeling more uncomfortable by the second.

September stares curiously at his arms. "Cool. So... how does that work? Can you, like, feel stuff...?"

Nathan shrugs as he hops about trying to tug off his trousers. "Uh-huh," he says in response. Nathan's body would have a small burn mark on his left side and what seems like a small surgical scar over his heart. Apart from that, his body is relatively unmarred. And... hairy. "Hot lesbian sex in the public bathroom. Totally sets the mood. If you want, I can set some

smooth jazz to play. Maybe a bit of... I dunno, Bob Marley?" He offers, not really knowing what music would be suitable.

Jason gives a slow shake of his head. "No, I can't..." he says before sighing, not particularly wanting to go into details but also unable to stop himself, "It's like-...." He trails off and looks across at the woman, "Have you ever sat on your leg for too long?"

Yan Sun is looking more and more embarassed by the second, and remains standing on the same spot. She shifts a bit and keeps staring at the particular tile in the wall that she's decided to focus on.

September nods in understanding. "Totally! It's like that? Wow, that must be annoying!"

Jessica looks at Nathan with an absolutely confused look on her face. "Bob Marley? What in the hell are you talking about? Jazz!? Is that what you have rough sex to? Jazz!?" She bursts into laughter. "You can't bang the gong to fucking jazz! Ho~ly shit. Tell me you're kidding." She glances over at Yan Sun. "Jazz." she repeats.

Nathan sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose as the woman's attitude is -really- starting to grate on his nerves. "Yes, I was fucking kidding," he sighs. Standing in his underwear, he turns on the shower and tests the water, adjusting the dial until the temperature is exactly where he wants it.

Jason furrows his brow, but after a few moments he begins nodding along with her. "Yeah! It actually is annoying." He reaches down and lifts his sandwich up, taking a small bite from it, "But you know what's worse?" he asks, rudely speaking while chewing. He swallows hard and stares pointedly at the woman, "All of the staring and irritating questions."

Yan Sun continues to look really uncomfortable, but fails to leave the room. When addressed directly she refocuses on Jessica. "Uhm... yeah. Jazz..." she mumbles in response, wincing slightly.

September blinks and then gains a frown. "Sheesh, no need to be so rude. I can take a hint." she mutters and stands up, bringing her tray to a different table.

Jessica rolls her eyes. "Alright, whatever. I'm getting out of here before the shorts come off." she says, gesturing towards Nathan, "That's the last thing I need flopping around in my life." She starts towards the door.

Jason suppresses a small chuckle. "Oh, hey! Wait, you forgot something!" he calls out after her.

Nathan grits his teeth and turns off the shower. "Alright. You and me, gym, five minutes," he growls, already pulling back on his jeans.

September stops, turning around in confusion. "Huh?"

Artullin has stopped and watches the scene.

Jason slowly lifts his right hand, middle finger extended. He gives the woman a big ol' lopsided grin.

Yan Sun seems like she was about to leave as well when Nathan calls out to Jessica. Her gaze darts between the two of them, standing awkwardly somewhere right between.

September lets out an offended snort and takes a seat facing away from Jason.

Jessica stops in place and turns on her heels. "Huh? What are you going on about now?" she asks. "Are you-...? Are you saying you want to fight me?"

Jason perks up somewhat, seemingly proud of himself. He continues to munch on his sandwich, giving Tarkus a quick wave.

Nathan steps over to her, holding his shirt in one hand and making to shove her roughly on the shoulder. "That's exactly what I'm saying. C'mon, show me that fancyass Alliance training," he says, a fierce fire burning behind his eyes. "Or is all your shit talk for show?"

Artullin laughs and claps his hands together in approval.

Yan Sun steps up closer to the two of them, her embarassment starting to give way to annoyance. She seems like she wants to intervene, but isn't quite sure what to do.

Jessica stumbles back slightly, looking down at Nathan's hand. She furrows her brow and her breathing gets heavier. "The fuck is your problem? Seems like you have no problem talking your shit but the moment anyone else does you have to puff out your chest and get all whiney. Put your shirt back on and get out of my face, Ten. Seriously." She steps back into the place she was standing before Nathan shoved her.

Tarkus stands up from his breakfast and starts making his way out of the cafeteria.

also waves to Jason on the way out.

Nathan snorts. "You're fucking kidding me right? Since we apologized to each other yesterday, I have literally done -nothing- to you. No shit talk, just friendly banter, yet -you- have persistently been the one to start shit. So my problem is you. And I've had enough of it." He steps closer, brow creasing into a frown.

Yan Sun winces. "Come on, guys... I know you merc types like to act tough and all, but... can we please not do this? Please?"

Pontus exits the elevator, taking a look around and heading over to Jason when he spots him. He takes a seat opposite to him, placing his hands on the table and lifts his right slightly in greeting. "Hello, I'm Captain Korpal. My apologies for being unable to greet you sooner, Mr. Wolfe."

Jessica remains in place, looking confused. "Starting shit!? When did I start shit!? Get the stick out of your ass, I was just fucking around. Fuuuck. Seriously?" She shakes her head and takes a few steps backwards towards the door. "Don't worry, I'm done here." she says as she glances over at Yan Sun, "Now that I know he's such a sensitive little pyjak, I'll refrain from saying anything that may hurt his fragile ego." She

turns to make her exit.

Jason looks up from his sandwich and nods a few times, quickening his chewing of his current bite. After a moment, he dusts his hands off and reaches across the table. "Good morning, Captain Korpal." he says, "No need for apologies."

Tarkus begins to make his way to the toilet to drain the main vein. He approaches the door and runs into a human female, it was as soft bump but still a bump. "Sorry about that." He has a quick look around seeing the crowd in here. "Everyone decided to piss at the same time, or did the male wanted to expose his chest hair?"

Pontus nods in return, shaking Jason's hand with a polite smile. "We all appreciate the protection of the Redrock Agency during this expedition. If you have any questions that Victoria couldn't answer I'd be happy to do so."

Nathan shakes his head and pinches his brow. "Sure, sure you were. Fucking about. Uh-huh. You keep telling yourself that," he mutters. He takes a few deep breaths and then looks to Yan. "...Sorry," he mumbles.

Jason pulls his hand back and sets it flat against the table. He contemplates the question for a few moments before responding. "I do, actually, Captain. What will we be doing once we reach the planet?" He gestures around the room, "I mean us. Collectively. What are we hoping to accomplish with this trip?"

Yan Sun starts to make her way out of the crowded bathroom, narrowly avoiding Tarkus herself.

Jessica frowns and scoffs at Tarkus. She places a hand on the turian's shoulder and steps off to the side. "It's fine..." she says, hastily accepting the turian's apology. She stomps off, but doesn't wind up too far. She simply takes a seat on the floor between the two doors to the passenger's cabin, looking quite irritated.

Nathan stands there and looks to Tarkus, offering the turian a somewhat friendly smile. "Heh, tends to be the case in shower rooms, mate," he says with a gentle laugh. "Tarkus, right?"

Pontus lets out a small chuckle. "We'll be taking samples, measurements, surveying the planet for useful resources and scientific discoveries. Lifeforms, minerals, so on."

Tarkus moves aside to let Jessica out, he then gives a nod to Nathan "Yes, I am." He moves off to the booth where a toilet is. "Is something the matter here?"

Nathan shakes his head. "No, nothing wrong. Just some banter," he assures the turian. "I'll, uh, let you drain the snake in peace," he says as he pulls on his shirt and makes to leave.

Jason nods a few times and falls silent for a short while. "...And?" he asks, giving a curious tilt of his head, "Are you looking for something specific? Surely this is about more than a few dirt samples...?"

Yan Sun follows after Jessica, keeping a bit of distance. She slowly moves to the wall opposite to her, seeming to look for signs that she should leave as she slides down the wall to sit. "What's up with you two?"

Pontus raises an eyebrow. "Not really. It's hard to look for something specific when you don't know what to look for. Anything of scientific or material value will be documented, and if all goes well we may set up a research outpost. I'm sure Professor T'Ris could tell you more."

Jessica gives a shrug. "I don't know! I thought we were cool! He made a few asshole remarks about this monstrosity-..." she gestures towards her face, "...and, sure, maybe I gave him some shit back." she shrugs, "...Didn't mean anything by it. He's just an asshole." She sighs, letting some of her anger go for the moment. "I don't know. Maybe he's just prime neck-stabbing material." she says, looking across at Yan Sun with a

slight smirk and shrugging her shoulders.

Nathan walks out and, having some of his own anger dissipate rather quickly, simply snorts. "Not the first time I heard that one," he says in regards to her latter remark as he makes to head back into the passenger compartment, unless stopped.

Jason gives a few more shallow nods. "Professor T'Ris?" he repeats, committing the name to memory, "....And will Redrock be assisting the ground team? Or will we remain shipside?"

Yan Sun 's gaze wanders briefly over the burns before falling to the floor. The comment about the stabbing brings her attention back up, an unsettled look on her face. She studies Jessica as if she just finds her inscrutable.

Jessica looks up as Nathan walks by. "Sleep lightly, motherfucker." she says, although there's not much anger in her voice. She settles her gaze back on Yan Sun and shrugs, as if to say 'I am what I am'.

Nathan pokes his head out the door. "It's morning," he replies with a wink before zipping back in.

Pontus leans back a bit. "Your mission will be protecting the research team in the field. Our security team will watch the ship."

Yan Sun lets out a light sigh, not really sure what to say to Jessica, most of what she wants to ask being related to what she was just asked to keep quiet about. Her gaze falls again.

Jason continues his silent nodding. "And is there any reason this place, specfically, was chosen?" he asks. "I mean, there's a lot of unexplored space out there, right Captain?"

Pontus nods. "Of course. Unmanned probes showed it was promising. The scientists believe there may be life under the ice, and there is a distinct possibility of precious metals as well."

Jessica rolls her eyes as she watches Yan Sun struggle with the whole situation. "What's wrong?" she asks, sounding somewhat irritated. "Come on. Out with it."

Jason gives a quick smile. "Sounds interesting." he says, "Well, that about covers it. Might go give that Professor T'Ris a visit. Would love to hear more about what we might be able to expect."

Yan Sun looks up. "Huh? Nothing. Sorry." Her gaze flickers to the ceiling briefly, scanning it. "Another time."

Jessica scoots across the floor and rotates, placing her back against the wall beside Yan Sun. "There's clearly something you want to say, kitty cat." she says, nudging the woman in the side with her elbow, "Is this about the knife? I wouldn't have actually stabbed you." she admits with a deep sigh.

Pontus nods again, standing up. "I believe it's about time I had something to eat. Pleasure talking to you, Mr. Wolfe."

Jason returns his focus to his sandwich as the captain departs. "You too, Captain." he says, "Don't worry. Redrock is going to make sure this expedition goes down without a hitch."

Yan Sun glances at Jessica. "That's, uh... good to know, but no. And..." she briefly looks up again. "Probably shouldn't mention that." She looks forward for a moment, before speaking again. "Figured out where you're gonna go?" She says, attempting a more positive subject.

Nathan steps out into the hallway and stretches, turning to walk back to the cafeteria.

Artullin passes by Nathan and enters the passenger compartment.

Jessica shrugs and reorients herself a bit, getting comfortable. "Figure after I make enough credits to get off of Aite, I can head over to Omega. Hear it's easy to make quick credits there." she muses. She raises a hand, waving her fingers slightly as Nathan reappears. Although, whether the gesture is genuine or just to get a rise out of him is anyone's guess.

Nathan just caught the wave and returns it. He then pauses and, with a sigh, turns around. "Jessica... look, I'm sorry, alright?" He says, placing a hand on his hip and rubbing his chin with the other. "I didn't entirely mean what I said back there."

Yan Sun once again seems like she's about to say something when interrupted by Nathan. She closes her mouth, shooting a look his way - and blinking, her eye glowing with a blue light when she opens it.

Jessica shrugs her shoulders. "Alright..." she says, looking up at the man. "I don't know what you expect me to say. You just tried to fight me in the shower because I don't think jazz is a good genre of music to make the beast-with-two-backs to! Now, I don't know about you, but where I'm from that's the sort of thing that only ends one way." She takes her thumb and drags it across her neck. "But I'm going to give you a pass

this time. Because we're kindred souls, both just looking for something to blow up. And because I'd probably lose my job if I jammed a sharpened spoon into your lung while you took a nap." She shrugs and leans back against the wall heavily, a slight smile on her lips. "It's fine."

Nathan quirks an eyebrow. "...eloquent," he says. He's not going to go into detail about why he wanted to beat her with her own spine so he just nods and shrugs. "Eh, I'll take that." He then slowly turns to look at Yan, blinking. "...What are you doing?"

Yan Sun tilts her head with an unsettling grin. "I'm scanning your brainwaves to see what you're thinking about."

Nathan narrows his eyes and remains silent. If this was certainly true, he would start thinking about dancing varren wearing top-hats and little bow ties. If this wasn't true, he would just eye her suspiciously.

Jessica reaches into her pocket and removes her utility knife and begins cleaning her fingernails with it. She does her best to suppress her laugh, but a small snicker escapes.

Nathan crouches down and continues to glare at Yan Sun with an equally unsettling gaze. So far, he hasn't blinked. He shall win this fight.

Yan Sun stares intently at Nathan. She raises her eyebrow and lets out a quiet chuckle. "Okay, that's a bit weird. But whatever floats your boat I guess." She shrugs and blinks, the light disappearing from her eye.

Jessica leans over slightly, stage whispering into Yan Sun's ear. "It's the vorcha, isn't it? I bet it's the vorcha...."

Nathan grins. "So? What was I thinking then, little miss tech?"

Yan Sun puts up her hands apologetically. "I mean, I don't really want to say it out loud. Out of respect. I'll just take the knowledge to my grave, I think."

Nathan hums and shrugs. "Alright then," he says. He stands back up and throws a wave over his shoulder as he heads over to the cafeteria.

Jessica lets out another chuckle. "I've gotta get me one of those."

Yan Sun supresses another laugh as Nathan disappears out of earshot. "I wish this thing could read minds. Could have a lot of fun with that..."

Nathan plops into a seat next to Jason, rubbing his eye wearily.

Jessica slumps a bit further down the wall, focusing on cleaning the grit and grime from beneath her thumbnail. "You're a frightening person, kitty cat." she says with a shake of her head. "In my experience, I've found that it's usually a good idea to avoid finding out what's inside of people's heads."

Jason glances to his side as Nathan takes a seat. "Everything alright, Ten?" he asks, "Look like somethings on your mind."

Nathan waves dismissively. "New girl," he says idly waving over his shoulder. "Pain in the arse. Probably going to stab me in my sleep. The usual." He gazes up at the ceiling, sighing. "Wedding is in June," he says with a grin and a side look to Jason.

Jason lets out a loud chuckle. "Shit, just a stab wound? You're getting off lucky. She sounds like a big ol' softy." He glances past Ten in the indicated direction, "She giving you trouble...?" he asks.

Tarkus begins to leave the bathroom, after washing up. He began his journey to the cafeteria.

Nathan hums a laugh and shakes his head. "Yeah, but I can handle it," he says. "Though, if I mysteriously disappear at some point during the next two weeks, blame the robo-girl and the girl who strips wires embedded in grenades with her -teeth-."

Jason grimaces. "That doesn't sound sanitary." he says with a disgusted look on his face. "You talking about the scrawny little one? I'm pretty sure you can take her." he says with a smirk, "I wouldn't worry about it. But, I give you my word, if you don't show up for breakfast, their lockers are the first place I'll look."

Yan Sun shrugs. "Maybe." she says, her gaze wandering down the corridor until it reaches the cafeteria, and then returning to the wall in-front of them. "Maybe not." she says with a glance at Jessica. "Sooo... Omega? Makes sense if you're looking for merc work I guess. Heard a lot about it."

Nathan snorts. "The little one... all I need to do is detonate an EMP next to her face and bbbbzzztttt!" He glances at Jason. "Anyway, enough about my future wife and the mistress, what's the word when we get to... where ever?"

Jessica nods a couple times. "Omega." she repeats with a shrug, "Or maybe Illium.... Or anywhere that's just not Aite." She sighs and shakes her head, "I don't know..." she trails off.

Yan Sun tilts her head, studying Jessica. "What's so bad about Aite?"

Jason gives a shake of his head, smirk still present. "As far as I know, we're on track, though. Another couple days or so until our arrival, I'm guessing. Few days planetside, then a few more days back to Aite. Eager to get home?"

Nathan shrugs one shoulder, humming in thought. "Yes, I just wanna smoke!" He says, dramatically clasping his hands into fists and shaking them at the ceiling. "Allow me to blacken my lungs and stunt my growth!" He places the back of his hand against his forehead, swooning. He holds the pose for a moment before chuckling and relaxing into his seat. "Seriously

though, It's not that... but being cramped up in ships for long periods of time makes me jittery," he says quietly.

Jessica stops messing with her nails and glances over at Yan Sun. "It's just-... different now. I grew up in Adrasteia. Spent pretty much my whole life there." She looks towards the ground and shrugs sheepishly, pulling a knee in and resting her arm on it. "It was never easy, but it was always simple. Now it's just-.... complicated."

Jason nods a few times. "I get that. For me, though?" his grin widens and he raps his knuckles against the table, "This is like home. Multiple tours out in the Traverse. For a good portion of my life, I spent more time adrift in no-man's land than planetside." He glances around fondly at the cafetaria. Sure, smaller than what he was used to back in the Alliance, but a familiar sight nonetheless.

His grin fades somewhat, "But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't in a rush to get home..." he admits.

Nathan quirks an eyebrow, genuinely quite interested in Jason's story. "So you were a marine in the Alliance?" he asks, leaning against the table. "And you want to get back and see the missus, right?"

Yan Sun furrows her eyebrows. "Simple is rare these days. Most places are complicated, I think." She continues to study Jessica, her expression hard to read. "What's it like on a small colony like that? It seems like it'd be so... empty, and isolated."

Jason gives a quick chuckle, confirming the man's guess with a nod. "That about covers it. Joined the Alliance as soon as I was old enough to enlist. Just like my old man." he says, a bit of pride showing through.

Nathan grins. "Ah, a family of soldiers. My mum's side of the family followed the same tradition," he says. "What made you quit and start your own business out in the Terminus, if you don't mind me asking?"

Jessica sucks in a deep breath, wrapping both hands around her knee. "I can't answer for much of Aite, but Adrasteia?" she lifts her shoulders slightly and allows them to drop back down. "Violent." she says, surprisingly not sounding too enthusiastic about it. Almost ashamed. "But it was a sort of violent you could wrap your head around, you know? Survival of the fittest. Always some stupid turf war going on. You just joined up

with the group that had the highest chance of protecting you. Simple." she repeats.

Yan Sun nods, a faint frown on her face. "Yeah. Simple..." she says, sounding unenthusiastic but unsurprised. "Things are different now, then?"

Jason lowers his gaze, visibly growing uncomfortable for a few moments as he shifts in his seat. "I was away." he says with a nod, looking back to Nathan, "I mean I was always away. And-.... And I enjoyed it. But it meant having to leave behind the people I care about, you know? I lost out on a lot of time. Sometimes you don't really learn that shit until it's too late." He reaches down for

his sandwich, doing his best ot keep his emotions in check as he takes a bite. He quickly scarfs it down and gestures around the room, sandwich in hand. "So now? As much as I miss this life. The sounds. The smells." he nods towards the window, "The view. As long as Linda isn't here with me, it's just a paycheck. I can't wait to get back home."

Nathan smiles faintly, leaning back into his seat once again. "You're soft," he quips, the smirk on his face clearly showing he is joking. It grows slightly more serious as he continues. "But seriously, good on you. You've found your purpose and you're sticking with it, everything else be damned. Can't fault a guy for doing what he believes is right now, can you?

Jessica nods slowly. "Funny. We've all been fighting for years for control of that concrete jungle and all it took were a few credits to shake things up. Some asshole with a weighted credit chit shows up and suddenly everyone is stumbling over themselves to get a piece of it. That whole place caved in on itself."

Jason allows a genuine, if somewhat sad smile to return to his face. "It's all any of us can do, right? We do right by us and those we care about." He lets out a deep breath, a bit of life returning to his eyes, "And that's why we're going to make sure these nerds are taken care of, and then get the fuck home so you can kill yourself with those death-sticks."

Nathan laughs, tapping his pocket containing his cigarettes. "Wanna buy a deathstick?" he asks in a gravely voice and a craven fashion. He then snickers. "We got this, boss. Ain't no flashlight headed toasters going to stop us."

Jason snorts loudly, reaching out to pat Nathan on the shoulder. "After everything Redrock has been through, I'm not about to let a few geth keep me from getting home." He gives a nod, "We got this." he repeats.
