#Deck2 – April 5, 2016

Yan Sun emerges from the bathroom, wearing a variation of her usual jeans and top combo, her hair still damp from the shower. She has a cheerful smile on her face as she heads into the passenger quarters.

Leonard is just placing his dishes on the counter in the cafeteria, before heading off towards the elevator.

Klaus is busy cleaning up in the kitchen, muttering under his breath as he does.

Emmanuel is seated in the cafeteria, an empty plate in front of him and talking to Ling.

Ling is listening to Emmanuel talk about their work while finishing the last of her scrambled eggs.

Robyn is in the kitchen cleaning up as well. "Oh cheer up, Klaus~" she sings as she scrubs at a tray, "It's not so bad."

Artullin is sat away from the others, prodding at his porridge with his spoon.

Uvena is sat at her spot by the window, looking out. There's an empty plate with crumbs where once a rather oversize serving of breakfast have been, as well as a glass and a cup.

Jason shovels the last of his scrambled eggs into his mouth, eager for any word about when they can be expected to land.

Jessica nudges Yan Sun with her shoulder as she passes by her in the hall towards the showers. As she has during the duration of the trip so far, she's waited to take her shower until it seems as though most everyone else has had their chance.

Klaus lets out a grunt. He never was much of a morning person, and the fact that there wasn't even a real sun just made the whole thing worse somehow. "Vhy do you have to be so cheerful all zhe time, Robyn? It is infuriating!"

Korio slipped into the cafetaria just in time to grab breakfast. He moves back towards Ling's table with his tray, offering her a bow of his head as he sits down, hoping to continue their non-conversation in silence from the previous day. "Good morning." he announces to the table.

Jason climbs out of his seat and returns the tray to the counter, stopping only to grab a paper towel and wipe at his hands. The lack of sensation makes it difficult to tell when he has gotten food on his synthetic hands, so a quick inspection after each meal has become the norm. He wipes at them for a moment before discarding the paper towel into the trash and heading for the elevator

Robyn continues to work at a bit of grunge that won't free itself from the tray. "We're landing on an undiscovered planet, Klaus! You can't tell me that doesn't excite you. Not even just a little?"

Emmanuel looks at Korio as he takes a seat. "Morning. I'm Manny." he says, wiping his hand on his jumpsuit and extending it to the drell.

Ling nods to Korio. "G-G-Good morning." she says before filling her fork up with more scrambled egg.

Klaus ' first response is a louder grunt as he cleans the rag in his hand and starts wiping the counter clean. "Did you read zhe info? Zhe planet is freezing."

Korio reaches over and takes Emmanuel's hand in both of his own as he gives it a shake, respectfully bowing his head. "A pleasure to meet you, Manny." he greets as he brings his hands back to the sides of his plate, "I am Korio."

Robyn nods a bunch of times. "Yeah! I bet it's going to be beautiful. Ice as far as the eye can see. I've never seen anything like it first-hand." She glances over her shoulder at Klaus, "So you're not even the slightest bit excited?" she asks skeptically.

Klaus considers the question for a moment as he continues to clean the counter. "...no."

Robyn sticks her tongue out at the man before resuming her cleaning. "Oh you're just a stick in the mud, Klaus." she chirps.

Artullin finishes off his porridge and walks over to the chatting pair. He places his empty bowl on the counter and nods to Robyn.

Robyn gives Artullin a bright smile as she scoops up the bowl and adds it to the rest of the dishes. "Hope it wasn't too bad." she jokes.

Artullin offers her the turian equivalent of a smile and shakes his head. "It was filling. Thank you."

Uvena sighs and stands up from her seat. She balances the glass and cup ontop of the plate and picks it up. She starts walking towards the counter.

Emmanuel returns his attention to Ling after greeting Korio. "So yeah, I'm thinking we can up the thruster power by another 5%, so long as the scans match up with the estimates of the surface."

Nalota arrives at the cafeteria, surveying the room for a place to sit. She has had her breakfast already.

Robyn gives a nod to the turian. "Not a problem!" As Uvena approaches, she raises one hand in a short wave. "Hey, Uvena! Just toss the dishes anywhere. I'll get around to them eventually."

Korio pokes at his eggs as he listens to the table chatter.

Artullin nods to her and makes to go and sit back down. He's, unsurprisingly, already in his armour.

Uvena smiles, being unable to wave without signifcant risk of giving the ship's staff more work. "Thank you," she says before putting the plate on the counter. "Busy morning?"

Robyn gives a nod, her focus remains on the dishes she's scrubbing away at, however. "Oh, yeah! Big day! Everyone is a bit anxious around here. I suppose it's a big day for your people, too, hmm? Finally get to stretch your legs a bit."

Nalota walks over to the table that's just been left vacant by the matron, deciding to not sit within earshot of those negative Redrock people. There's a persistent smile on her face as she barely contains her excitement.

Artullin looks to Nalota. "Why're you so happy?" He asks.

Uvena nods. "Yeah, definitely is," she says. "I would have been at my spot all 'morning' otherwise." She chuckles.

Ling nods in response to Emmanuel, finishing the last of her food.

Nalota stops and tilts her head. "This is so exciting!" she says. "We're going to a world nobody has been to before and we may be making history down there." She then sighs. "I know you Redrock people don't see it this way, though."

Artullin chuckles very faintly. "Don't be so presumptuous," he chides gently. "Not all of us are just in it for the paycheck."

Robyn chuckles in turn. "Well, soon enough you'll be getting a big beautiful view of our destination from your spot. It's supposed to be really cold. Hope your team brought scarves~" she jokes.

Nalota jabs a thumb towards the passenger quarters. "Go tell them to cheer up, then," she says. "I know your people has been through some rough crap, because they're practically regulars at my other work. They can still at least fake a smile or two when we're listening, though."

Uvena raises a brow. "Knew I forgot something," she mutters in jest, and glances towards the Window. "Do you know when we drop out of FTL? I wouldn't want to miss the sights."

Robyn gives an apologetic frown as she shakes her head. "Not exactly. Shouldn't be too long now, though. They don't really keep me up-to-date on these things." she sighs, "Judging by the way everyone is running around to get ready, expect it to be soon."

Uvena takes a step back, still smiling. "Alright, I better get suited up as soon as possible then," she says. "See you around, Robyn." She gives a small wave before turning around and starting towards the passenger quarters.

Artullin shrugs. "They're not my people," he says. "I don't know any of them to well and aim to keep it that way." His mandibles twitch for a moment. "So, I take it this is your first time with an exploration team?"

Nalota gives two nods. "Yes, and that makes it even more exciting!" she says, but she goes quiet as the ship exits FTL and while the announcement sounds. She grins widely, and looks out the window from where she's standing.

Uvena stops her walking and looks out to admire the view of the gas giant. It's not every day one can see those up close. "That soon, huh," she mutters to herself.

Korio glances towards the window from his seat. "Ah. It is quite beautiful." he muses aloud.

Artullin looks out the window and stands up, clasping his hands behind his back. "This was always the part I looked forward to during my time with the military," he says to Nalota.

Robyn waves off Uvena, but as the announcement sounds off, she calls out after the woman. "See! Told you! It was-.... Whoa." she trails off as her attention is drawn to the window. "Come take a look at this, Klaus! It's so pretty!"

Nathan zooms towards the elevators, not paying much mind to anything else.

Nathan thumbs the interface, impatiently tapping his foot as he waits for the elevator.

Nalota tenses up and takes a step aside as the turian stands up, the small asari finding him a little bit intimidating now that he is standing. However, she relaxes her stance shortly after as excitement reclaims her. "I can't believe it's finally happening!" she says. "The wait has been excruciating."

Klaus glances out the window, not really seeing all that much since he doesn't move to get a better view, and then shrugs, going back to cleaning with a bored look.

Artullin either doesn't notice or ignores Nalota's side step. "Agreed," he says quietly. "Hopefully all goes well down on the surface."

Uvena sighs as she has to take her eyes off the sight. She continues on her way towards the passenger quarters.

Jessica exits the showers wearing her armor's undersuit and her cap, lugging a small bag over her shoulder.

Nathan catches sight of Jessica and offers her a nod, before turning back to the door and glaring at it, willing it to move faster.

Nalota nods. "They would have noticed by now if the evil desk lamps were lying in wait, right?" she says. "Well, I suppose I should go check what I'm supposed to be doing right now."

Artullin nods. "Indeed. I won't keep you," he says before returning his view to the window.

Jason steps off of the slow elevator with a bit more spring in his step now that work is beginning. As the door opens, he spots Nathan and steps out, giving him a pat on the shoulder. "Armory?" he asks, "I'll be down there as soon as I finish gearing up."

Jasper marches down the hall towards the elevator.

Jessica returns Nathan's nod, raising a hand slightly in greeting.

Yan Sun follows Jasper down the hall, although she's slowed a bit as her gaze is drawn to Jessica, shooting her a small grin before joining the others at the elevator.

Nathan steps past Jason, nodding once to the man and returning the pat. "Aye, going to get the gear ready. I'll distribute the grenades evenly amongst the team as each person arrives," he explains, stowing his eagerness for the moment. "I would've had liked more time to ensure that everyone's weapons are immaculate, but, well, can't have everything, right?"

Nalota nods and hurries towards the elevator that's filling up. "Wait," she calls out.

Jason gives Nathan a nod. "Sounds good to me." he says. He glances down the hall and points at Yan Sun as he spots her and Jessica. "Hey! I just had a talk with Chief Volkoff." he says, taking a few steps towards them. "He said you two sabotaged an elevator to have a little-..." he makes a ring with his index finger and thumb, and then slides his pointing finger through it. He frowns at his

Jessica returns the woman's grin with one of her own. Upon hearing Jason, she gives a roll of her eyes and a thumbs up. "No more fucking in the elevator. Got it." she repeats aloud, sounding mostly unphased at being called out and has to shout slightly to be heard from where she is. She then disappears into the passenger's quarters.

Jasper frowns disapprovingly at the vulgarity. "No manners..." he mutters as he steps past Jason and Nathan to board the elevator.

Nalota snickers before walking into the elevator, but she doesn't comment.

Robyn glances up at the commotion and a look of distaste crosses her face. She quickly returns to her planet-gazing.

Yan Sun 's eyes widen in surprise, her gaze darting from Jason to Nathan and then the others by the elevator. She looks extremely flustered, standing still in discomfort, and Jessica's exclamation doesn't help, promting her to wince slightly and bring a hand up to hide her face from the side as she steps into the elevator, staring at the floor.

Korio cleans off the rest of his plate, showing little interest in the shouting as he rushes to get breakfast out of the way so he can gear up.

Artullin looks down the hallway and tuts. "...One and only mission with these imbeciles," he mutters as he turns his attention back to the window.

Emmanuel looks up at the VI's announcements and gives a light grunt of effort as he stands up. "Well, time to get back to work!" he says before grabbing his dishes and heading toward the counter.

Jasper reaches over and pats Yan Sun on the shoulder. "Don't let 'em get to ya. They ain't got no class. Love knows no bounds, sweetheart! You tell 'em that!"

Nathan grins smugly under his helmet, thumbing the interface for the appropriate deck. He leans across to nudge Yan in the side gently. "Good on you. And for once, the senile old man has a point."

Ling stands up as well, grabbing her plate. Before leaving she looks down at Korio. "G-Good l-luck on t-t-the surface." she says with a friendly smile before heading off.

Jason turns back towards the elevator with a shrug as he begins backing up towards the passenger's quarters. "Armory." he repeats, "If you get the chance, get everyone's shit ready." he says to Nathan before turning back and entering the quarters.

Nathan nods to Jason before the doors close.

Korio gives Ling a nod. "Much appreciated." He stands shortly after and returns his plate to the counter.

Yan Sun seems like she'd rather be pretty much anywhere else right now. She doesn't respond to any of the others, just remaining very still and focusing on the floor.

Artullin finishes his gazing and turns to walk towards the passenger quarters. He needs to retrieve his helmet before he heads to the armoury also.

Nalota remains quiet, but her smile is still present despite being surrounded by Redrock mercs.

Emmanuel and Ling enter the second elevator.

Jasper glares across at Nathan. "Young 'nuff to lose a slipper in yer' keester, that's fer' sure!"

Artullin waits for the elevator. Unless he didn't miss the one Manny and Ling got on. In that case, he hops onto it with them.

Artullin enters and turns to looks up and down the hall, checking for any others who may want to hop in.

Ilyna joins Artullin in the elevator. She is in her full suit of armor, which has brown plating with white trims, and black padding over her chest. Her helmet's visor doesn't obscure her face.

Artullin nods to Ilyna. His helmet, on the other hand, does cover his face. He thumbs the interface for Deck 2 without so much as a word to the asari.

Jason makes his way over to the elevator and hits the call button, having just missed Ilyna and Artullin's departure.
