Sanna is in the kitchen, busy preparing dinner for the ship. She seems in a good mood as she goes around taking inventory of the ingredients.

Klaus has sent Robyn to the passenger quarters to clean - aside from the standard weekly cleanup it has become very much necessary due to factors such as Bort's habit of tearing the pillows, and now even the matress, apart. There is also the drool-filled sleep habits of both vorcha, food-stains that should not be present since no food is allowed outside the cafeteria, and bloodstains from lacking medi-gel seals.

September is currently in the gym, running on a threadmill while listening to music.

Nicholas is currently in the cafeteria, sitting at an empty table as text scrolls by on his glasses.

Bort is in the showers, water splashing all over as they clean themself enthusiastically.

Korio starts down the hall in his workout clothing, minding his own business. He steps through the door to the gym, spots September, turns on his heels and steps back out, deciding, perhaps, he should go and-.... do something else.

September turns to greet Korio with a smile but stops mid-wave, looking confused as he disappears. She shrugs and returns her focus to running.

Korio sighs and comes to a halt a few steps out of the room, his discreet escape foiled by the human noticing him. He turns back around and re-enters the gym, putting on the best friendly smile he can manage. "Hello, September." he begins, cocking a thumb over his shoulder, "...I dropped something in the hall." he explains, not wanting to hurt the woman's feelings. He moves towards one of the exercise mats and begins to stretch.

September 's smile returns as she waves at the drell. "Hey Korio!" she says. "Haven't... ouf! Haven't seen you around since you got back from the surface." she says as she continues to run in pace with the music.

Korio drops down to the floor, sitting back as he continues with a new set of stretches. "Yes. We didn't have the greatest of sleep schedules down there. I suppose I've just been attempting to catch up with lost time." he says with a slight chuckle, not wanting to admit that he's been actively avoiding the human.

September glances at Korio. "Oh yeah... constant daytime right? That's so freaky. At least... huf... here on the ship they turn the lights off!"

Korio nods, his focus on his stretching as he responds. "Yes, 'freaky'. That is a correct analysis of the situation." he chuckles, "It is difficult to get used to. The low temperatures did not do much to help with that, either. How was everything here on the ship during our time away?"

September shrugs while continuing to run. "You know. Kinda boring, we just waited for you guys to come back mostly. I bet you had it way more interesting! I heard some crazy stuff from the others!"

Korio nods again. "As have I. Fortunately for me, I was not a part of any of that. The most action I saw during our trip was long patrols around our camp. It was quite beautiful down there, however. Almost-... haunting, in a way. Nothing but snow and ice for as far as the eye could see."

September seems unconvinced. "I dunno... I looked out the window, it was just snow. Seemed kinda boring."

Korio opens his mouth to respond, but closes it just as quickly, not at all surprised by the woman's response. "Well-..." he begins finally, "...Everything is 'just something' if you're merely observing it without putting the time and effort in to see it for what it truly is. That 'snow', for example, we now know was the top layer of a world that housed an intricate ecosystem. A world just below our feet that went mostly

untouched by the rest of the galaxy, existing on its own, unobserved. Beautiful crags of glass-like ice stabbed skyward as snow continued to deposit around us while we, travelers from a place that the creatures below us would never even know existed, carved our own place into our surroundings, far from home." He smiles, looking distant for a moment as he nods, "Quite the adventure, even if I did miss out on the 'crazy

stuff'." he chuckles.

September 's eyes seem to glaze over as Korio speaks, and she continues her exercising. Once the drell finishes she shrugs again. "Uh, yeah, I guess... but I mean... it was just, like, snow and stuff. And fishes I guess. I don't know why we came all the way out here for that."

Korio gives a long, disappointed sigh. "Yes, it was, indeed, just snow..." he says dejectedly as he returns to his stretching.

September nods, satisfied that Korio has understood her point. "So what's up with that turian? He was really rude back during the movie night."

Korio turns over onto his stomach and begins a set of push-ups. "I suppose some people just struggle with interacting with others." he says, knowing all-too-well about interacting with people who have no real social skills, "Or, perhaps, he was merely having a bad day."

September goes silent, returning her focus to running for a while, but soon another question pops up. "So, are drell, like, attracted to humans? You look a lot like humans. But scalier, I guess."

Korio pauses his push-ups, holding himself up. "I suppose that depends on the drell." he says, "Just as with humans, our interests can vary. Attraction is a strange thing, isn't it? What one person may find irresistable, another may find to be completely uninteresting."

September flashes a smile at Korio at the first comment and then nods in agreement with the second. "Oh, yeah, totally. Did you know the chef, Sanna, is like, totally into turians? Sooo weird."

Korio doesn't bother commenting on 'chef Sanna'. Gossip isn't his thing. "I suppose we are all slaves to our own desires." he says plainly, lowering for another push-up.

September nods not-so-wisely. "Oh absolutely. But I mean, it's just so weird! They're all, like, spiky... and how do they kiss without lips? I just don't get it..."

Korio closes his eyes and pulls in a deep breath. "....Right." he says plainly, holding his body up as he speaks, "Perhaps that's just not as important to others as it is to you."
